I ordered my son a phone for his birthday believing the would be here in two to three business days and the phone never came. Now it's my son birthday and no gift. The costumer service was horrible. They ask the same questions over and over again. They keeping putting you on hold. They was not helpful at all! I am passed dissatisfied
Bought a new phone at Walmart all was fine until 5 months later phone went blank. Called ST customer service. They sent me a UPS shipping label to send the phone back to them as they were going to replace it it would take up to 3-4 days. After a week still no phone I called them. Oh so sorry warehouse did not do their job but I have your phone scheduled to be to you in 3 days another week nothing called back almost identical response. Another 5 days pass same again. I kept waiting and doing with out a phone because they kept leading me to believe it was now being handled. Bottom line I never got my phone back. I canceled their service. Went back to Verizon. These people that run ST customer service just lie and are not honest.

Straight talk literally lies to all of their customers. They sell unlimited plans but they're absolutely 100% limited. Per section 6 and 7 of the user agreement after using 200 gigs your data is 100% shut off. I have no respect for any company or person who lies to their customers in order to make a sale. All you have to do is be honest with people. Their policy is that the phone should continue to work at 2G speeds however it 100% shuts the data off and not a single kilobyte will go to your phone after exceeding the 200 GB limit. I paid him for the last month and for next month I will be with the new carrier.
I have been with them for years and have purchased a number of phones through them and loved them recommend them to everyone until today. I just went on their website to purchas a new phone through smart pay like I always do and the next thing I know the full amount of the phone came out of my bank account account which I did not have in there. And when I called to get it fix the employee said there is nothing they can do until I receive the phone and processed to tell me it was my fault because I went on the website and ordered from them.
As of 2022, ST told me that I need to update my SIM card, they screwed so many sim cards they sent and non of it working. I just give up, as they customers service from overseas, non of them know how to resolve your problems. Too bad, I had it for many years though.
Customer service-awful
Data signals-horrendous
Hotspot signals-non existent.
Overall a terrible service. I bought the ultimate plan for over 60 bucks and can't even use my data or Hotspot in my own home. My data does not work anywhere in my town even though I set my phone up with my zip code. When calling Customer service I keep getting told I have 5g. If I had 5 g I wouldn't be calling you people now would i? Absolutely no help from anyone just passed around from one agent to another.
So my sim card was deactivated in the middle of the day and a new activated without me knowing. I called in and asked whats going. Told I did it the day before. I stayed look at my call log I didn't. I need fraud department. We don't have one stated Arvee # *******. And I need to by a new sim card. Needless to say I switched my phone service today. And will never go back.
I've used straight talk for years with no problems but since they updated their system I have had nothing but problems I'm trying to get away from them for over two weeks now and they won't release my number to another carrier, the same number I brought to them over 10 years ago. This is ridicules but I'm afraid I'll have to get a new number after having it for almost 20 years. I hate this company.
I have been dealing with this company for days now to no avail. My daughter is going to college and we needed to replace her current phone service with one that she could better afford so we called straight talk they assured us that her current phone would be able to be used with a BYOP kit. We bought a $45 BYOP kit and guess what it does not work on her phone we called them they said she needed to buy a phone from then we did that still no service. We called them again to speak to an incredibly rude woman who kept yelling at me, I finally asked her to transfer me to someone else and he tells me that he has fixed the issue and that her phone will be turned on in an hour. Well 3 hour later and still no service, still out $45 and the cost of the phone and a headache. Do not waste your time with this company as far as I can see they just take money and do not provide any service.
This company should not be in business. There should be a class action lawsuit against them. I won't spend more time on here. Zero accountability. Zero customer service. They couldn't provide me with service and wouldn't refund my money.
I wanted to buy a new Samsung cell phone and upgrade, so I ask straight talk to unlock my old phone so I could sell it. They said they can't do it. But offered to buy my old cell phone from me for $10... what a complete joke. So I called Samsung to get the truth, and they told me that straight talk can unlock my phone... bottom line they lied straight to my face! So after 7 years with straight talk I'm leaving. They have no honor and integrity... forever DONE!
Straight talk runs a scam. You upgrade phone and then they want 200.00 to unlock old phone. They tell you there is no supervisor available. Because you haven't had service with them on old phone they want to charger 200.00. Why would you have service if you upgraded. I wanted to give my old phone to someone in need.
I had autopayments set up to make sure I would have continued service. So a couple days into new cycle 53mb later SIM becomes invalid. Long story short you pay for service for a month you get a couple days and horible customer service I'm now with at&t pre pay and actually get way better service no more middle man for me you suck straight talk hope your next to go under and this review is being posted everywhere I can think to post it have fun!
I had a year of great service. Bought a new phone. The 4g LTE did not work. After 3 hours on the phone, where they advised me that I needed to have another phone to fix this one (I live alone), I went over to Walmart to hopefully resolve. After an hour on the phone there, with a sales associate assisting, the phone did not work. I came back to the store to exchange my phone a few hours later. They would not exchange it. It's within the return time, but I would have to buy a NEW phone in order to keep my phone number and minutes. This makes no sense to me. They would not budge. I had no extra money to buy another phone. So I left the store.
Trust me, I will have a different phone with a different company within the week. Buyer beware!
I've been a customer for over twelve years. I recreantly switched my mobile service to Visible because the support for Straight Talk is utterly horrendous. The service reps are extremally polite but have no idea what they're doing, don't have a good grasp of the English language and are basically incompetent. I still have their home phone service because, unfortunately, I've found no other option at that price point.
I've tried for 2 weeks to get my number to port to another company or so I can register an email to do it myself. Try say they don't recognize the 2 numbers I give them. Also do not recognize the sim number on the phone nor the ime number on the device that they sent me. It's a home phone system. They state they can send me a text -when I state it's a home phone they are stumped and say there is nothing they can do. I urge everyone with a complaint to file with the FCC
I have an older straightalk phone. A friend has At&T and broke his phone. So I figured I would call for an unlock code and give him the phone. The customer service rep kept repeating the same thing, didn't understand what I was saying, and even though I've had the phone for 2-3 years. Because it's currently inactive they won't unlock it unless I pay a fee. I ask the price, 325.00 to unlock. Pay more than the phones worth to unlock a phone that I've had for years and won't ever use again. Thanks straightalk!
Do not get Straight Talk if you live in this area. Data is fine because I'm almost on my home wifi. BUT Phone signal strength is TOO low to make calls & 1/2 the time text msg fail. I've had the service for almost 2yrs. Recently something changed ( 4 months now), I believe the nearest tower went to 5G ( in Monroe, GA 5.4 miles from my home)
Many times, I had to be on hold for over 2 hours.
They suggested to text, I did and didnt get a reply for two days. They again suggested that I send them a message on FB, that didnt yield any response either. Sad company
Every month I pay for unlimited talk text and data there is always issue when I refill service. If i pay for unlimited service I shouldnt have to use wifi just to connect to the internet. I have issues where incoming calls dont come through or incoming texts. Its frustrating spending 1-2 hours on the phone with a representative who barely speaks english and repeats the samething over and over before "attempting" to fix the issue and never resolve the issue. I feel like this company is a scam the only reason I do use because its cheaper than other companies
Answer: Cheaper than ATT for a landline. I never thought of the problems I am having trying to get service started. I don't know how they stay in business considering the gift fact that Verizon owns them.
Answer: I've been pretty consistently able to get a hold of them. As far as them being helpful not at all.
