Sunbasket has been great for our family. We have been using them every week for 3+ years. Ingredients are high quality and fresh. Shipments are well packaged. Menu options strike a good balance between creative new options and keeping weekly favorites available. One thing that also stands out is their customer service - shipments are typically perfect but if there is ever a problem, customer service is easy to access via well designed self service portal, online text messaging with a real human, or phone. Any problems I've had have always been resolved to my satisfaction (ie quick refunds or credits issued, free meals, etc). Highly recommend!
After receiving my first Sun Basket delivery containing rotting, limp produce and herbs, I immediately sent an email to cancel my account and received a confirmation. The next week, I came home to find another delivery on my doorstep that I was charged for! More poor quality ingredients including rotting swiss chard. I called Customer Service and they claimed to have not received my email, although I received a confirmation email from them. Stay away from this terrible company!
The packaging, food and ease of recipes is great. However, the lack of consistency in the delivery is the main reason why I have to give Sunbasket only 1 star. I continue to have delivery problems, yet Sunbasket continues to use the same delivery service week after week. This tells me that sunbasket doesn't care about customer satisfaction, even though I have made it clearly known to them that i am unsatisfied with their delivery service. Late boxes, missing boxes, boxes delivered to the wrong address...
I was so excited to try this company. I placed my first order and had no trouble receiving the product.
I used the $35 off coupon that was advertised on the website. To my dismay, I checked my credit card bill and found that I was charged full price and my coupon was not honored. I figured that this mistake would quickly be solved once I contacted customer service. Unbelievably, the customer service representative told me that my coupon ‘expired' and they refused to help me. That coupon is STILL currently on their website ( and clearly NOT expired.). To provide context, this was my very first purchase. I have never found a more inept customer service group. I have tried another food delivery service in the past (Home Chef) and it had to excellent customer service. I will return to Home Chef immediately! I'm just so shocked at the slow and inept responses of this team.

I cancelled my service well before the cut off to "choose" your dishes. And now I have an unwanted box of perishables that I didn't even choose! "Help" supposedly canceled my account after I realized I was getting the shipment, but that didn't happen. Now I have to pay sixty something dollars for food I didn't choose, nor that I want. Ugh! The quality of the recipes and produce really went downhill. Also, I have tried twice now to cancel and my subscription still exists! Other meal delivery services are easy to cancel. I am wary of this company now and am hoping they respond to the message I sent to the help account (they didn't respond to the cancel address).

I had to laugh, I am not a cook, I dabble at cooking, but last night I served my husband a meal that looked like it came from a gourmet restaurant... the major difference being that I had prepared it! Amazing. The food was fresh and all organic, it was so easy to follow the directions and was ready in a flash. I am so impressed, I cannot wait to prepare my second meal! It looks like I am going go be a like long customer of Sunbasket! What a wonderful company, the food also arrives in all recylable containers. The recipes looks so good and what a variety. We will be looking forward to our 3 days a week of Sunbasket food every week. They seem very easy to work with, we are going out of town and I had to cancel a week and that was no problem at all, In fact they gave me a chance to change my mind. All very simple.

I'm a registered dietitian with strong culinary skills, but my husband and I had gotten bored with the food I was preparing. We started ordering Sunbasket during the COVID lockdown when restaurants were closed and grocery store shelves were bare. But we continued to order because the quality outshines what we can get in restaurants and the variety and convenience cannot be beaten.

I ordered meals for a friend who was scheduled for a hip operation. She is a vegetarian, so I ordered vegetarian meals, the first to be delivered the day after she returned from surgery. Those meals didn't arrive. The following week SunBasket sent beef and chicken dinners! My friend couldn't eat them. The following week, two more meat meals! A complete waste and ill-timed! I called and was told by the customer rep, who didn't apologize, and that SunBasket would refund me half the cost of the meals, not the total cost for which I asked! I finally hung up on the rep as he kept on talking, wouldn't explain the delay, and would only say that in order to address the matter he would have to talk with his team! A waste of my time.

Sunbasket is a great option for anyone looking for a meal planning/delivery service that offers organic, whole foods options. I choose the Speedy or Pre-Prepped options everytime for my fast-paced lifestyle, and I love that they have paleo AND carb-conscious meal options, it really helps me in my "clean keto" food lifestyle. Each meal has the diet option categories it falls under clearly listed, making it easy to tell which are paleo, vegetarian, soy-free, diabetes friendly, carb-conscious, etc.

Tough to rate the service when I couldn't even sign up. Their database didn't have my shipping address listed so my account wasn't accepted even though I live in a major city in a building that has been around for 100 years. The customer service rep passed me around for about two hours until they solved the issue. Well, only to find out same issue with the billing address for the credit card. This time it was unsolvable and hour three I lost patience and signed up with a competitor. The whole process seemed sketchy and did not inspire confidence I'd ever see the product.

I like how quickly it arrived and the option of some microwavable meals as well as the traditional option. Usually with services like this you have only 1 option of cooking everything. I 've seen other services like Factor that do microwave too but theirs are pricier ands not as filling.
The menu wasn't really for me and it's still cheaper for me to go shopping myself so I only did it for about 4 meals. They sent a delicious snack bar but it was 3 servings in 1 package so I could have eaten it all without knowing how much I was really eating. If you don't care for meal planning and hate grocery shopping this might be worth your time.

If you don't cook often you should pick mostly microwave options because you don't want it to go bad.

I signed up for their services about a month ago. While the food is really good, the delivery is plain awful. The first order was the only one that was timely, after that it went downhill.
Only half of the second order arrived on time, and today the 3rd order didn't show up at all.
I am canceling my subscription and taking my business elsewhere.

I have tried several meal plans and order weekly and have for 2 years. I wanted to try a new plan and organic plan sounded like a new idea. I tried the plan, food was great and I could have been a regular customer but the website in ordering and pausing or canceling was terrible. I had to put in a request for them to call me to cancel. I was asked why, which is a rude question. I explained that your website is confusing, the four other programs I have used are simple to pause or pick items. He then hung up on me! I will now stick with the other companies, do not use this company they need an overhaul on customer service and the website!

Had high hopes for Sun Basket, but my first week was on the FedEx truck for more than 13 hours. When we unpacked the box, the ingredients were barely cool. Sun Basket said they'd give me a refund for the spoiled ingredients but I haven't seen it come through. Second order, also on the truck for hours, included yellow and brown arugula and a pear that not only wasn't ripe, it had a worm hole all the way through it. $14 per meal--that includes tax--for 5 ounces of ground beef, an onion, a lemon, and a handful of raisins seemed excessive to me! I canceled right away.

I decided to do the trial with the discount and had 5 boxes total that I tried. This was a total of 15 meals. I elected to go with the lower calorie meal plan or the "lean and clean." I can honestly say that out of those 15 meals only one of them was actually tasty. Some of the recipes were incredibly complicated and timetaking. When I finished, the meal was marginal at best. There is no way I could justify the cost of these meals at full price. I would give them 5 stars for customer service, however. They charged me for my last order But refunded it after I had already canceled. But missed the billing deadline.

Terrible customer service. Sun Basket takes forever to respond to emails and concerns. They advertises that the food is organic, but no, in order to get the organic food in your subscription, they upcharge you from their base rate unlike other food subscription companies that offer far better customer service and only offer organic food and don't upcharge you for it. These folks are not interested in providing good customer service. Don't do it.

I tried to place an order of one 4 person meal for several weeks in a row, and every time I placed the order for under $100 (the amount of my gift certificate gifted from my employer). However, each time they suspended my order for adding an extra $30 of fees due to hidden upcharges that were not showing on the order. They will not allow me to view the menu options or place another order unless I enter my credit card information and subscribe, which based on their hidden upcharges and the reviews describing the difficulty of canceling service, I refuse to do. So I am left with $100 credit which they will not honor or allow me to access.

We have been getting Sunbasket deliveries long before the pandemic, but have a box of fresh deliciousness delivered to my front door each week is amazing. The recipes are SO GOOD and generally take no more than 15 minutes to prepare. Many of the ingredients are things I never tried before - like chard and bok choy and things that are GOOD for you. With a great selection of items to choose from each week, I get almond butter, smoked salmon, sugar snap peas, cheese and a ton of other great things.

Had only received one box and was not impressed with any of the items in the box. Cooked one meal and didn't like it all and the other meal was tossed out. Tried on several occasions to cancel but had to do a search on the site map to locate a cancelation. They couldn't find my account for some reason and the next order was sent. Unauthorized and I was not even home to get the box die to business travel. NEVER again.

I chose Sunbasket because it was unique in having servings for 1 and a vegan plan. The quality and presentation of the food is excellent! I have recommended it to several friends. This is a quality meal plan for anyone who doesn't cook and wants a qourmet meal in 4-7 minutes in the microwave.
My supervisor/boss told me i was allowed to go drink a cup of coffee to warm up ecause i was cold. The Human Resources lady named Ebro/Ebru (not sure the correct spelling) told me i could not be in there because it wasnt my break. I explained to her that i was allowed and she still fired me

My experience with Sun Basket was awful. The first week the produce was right on the edge of over ripeness. I barely made it through the third day of meals with usable produce. However, on the second week, 50% of the produce was already rotten and the balance was again on the verge of being rotten. I had already canceled my membership before the second week arrived. I do not recommend this group... everything, including the proteins were questionable. Vacuum packed fish should not be off when unsealing the package... unless go course it was bad from the beginning.
Sunbasket is the worst. After my first week there popped up options for and xtra charge for differnt qualities of organic. The Delivery is terrible- we order 3 meals to make it easy on me during the work week. My only option was Wed-- and then two weeks in a row I got an email Tues that my order was being delayed til Thurs. Well only part of the order came on Thurs and the other on Fri- Making my convenient meals Very inconvenient. And i had to scurry to get food for the week. Half the produce was brown and i ended up throwing alot of it out. The Basil was nasty and wilted. And i agree they make it impossible to cancel- when I finally talked to someone they ask why im cancelling and when you tell them they just say OK- HORRIBLE COMPANY-- Dont use them! Too many others out there who care about the people they deliver meals to.

I wish that we could remain with SunBasket but out of 7 deliveries, 3 had issues. The last one has 2 missing ingredients! The one before had a rotten ingredient and the one before had packaging issues with the meat juice leaking. For that one, we were given $15 off. For the second, we were given $5 off. I emailed back and said considering we had to go to the store, pay and prep; $5 felt inadequate. They did not respond at all so I canceled but we still had another delivery coming. The meal options are great, organic and the packaging is very sustainably considerate but they are failing on the customer service and implementaion.

I signed up for service to try it out. The first box was terrible. The meet was warm and smelled rank. The herbs were brown and wilted. I canceled. Their app wasn't working correctly so I skipped all future meals. I called and cancelled. They charged me and sent another box while I was out of town. I thought it was sitting at my door for a week however, it never came. Customer service would only give me 20$ out.of my 60 or 70$ they stole. Customer service claimed I never called, they were rude and smug. Laughed at me because I wasn't getting a refund. I am disgusted and appauled at their terrible products and services. I do not recommend using this company. It took weeks to get a real response. I don't have time to deal with this completely inappropriate behavior. They are theifs and should be shut down.
