I'm honestly baffled by the negative reviews. I received my order very promptly and it was packaged very nicely. Four boxes of goodies for less than $65 including shipping! I really don't know how you could have a problem with that. The petit fours are wonderful.
I placed an order with my account with Swiss Colony and the recipient didn't get it, they delivered to someone else and then after hours of being on hold it finally gets sorted out and my recipient gets the product. Fast forward 30 days and the recipient gets a bill instead of me. Very embarrassing. After another 2 hours making phone calls each person sends to another each telling something different like Brandon said I had to get a letter notarized stating the matter but finally I got someone with some common since and fixed it while we were on the phone. I was thankful for that hopefully she is correct in saying that. I then ask how they would compensate me for all the frustration and she said she could take off $9.56. WOW! This is a money hungry company not in the business of good customer service. I will now tear up my Credit Card to never use again and tell everyone I know.
Stay away from this company, by the time I get my cold items they will be spoiled shipping takes to long and they will not send you a return label they only do credits, buying BEWARE.
I am trying to find out what the code on the bottom of my tin means *******. If this is from 2019 I don't want to eat it. Could you please let me know?

I visited this site just a few months back. Last Christmas I received a catalog in the mail from Swiss Colony. They had such a nice collection of yummy treats. I placed an order with them an the items where shipped promptly. There petite fours where were so delicious that I ordered some for myself. They had another item that my friend loved. It was little loaves of different types of breads with delicious spreads to go on top. They had a cake that was a Double chocolate raspberry cream filled torte that was to die for. I was so happy to have such nice things to give as gifts. I really could not afford to buy them out right but they have payment plans you can pay for up to a year. Most of the items have to stay cold because they are made from dairy items. When I received my order I Placed them in the fridge and delivered them on Christmas eve for all my family and friend to enjoy on Christmas morning. The items held up very well. Although they are a little pricey. They were delicious. Just looking at them made my mouth water. At Christmas they run specials like if you buy several items and the price for all is lowered. They even sent me a free gift. They allowed me to choose from a beautiful metal tin of select Christmas cookies, or a box of 24 delicious petite fours to keep for myself. I chose the cookies. Next year I hope to try some of the other items they have. The selection of different towers filled with goodies made it hard for me to decide what to order. They had these homemade bread crisps with different types of cheeses to choose from. You could mix and match them. My friend told me they were delicious. I don't think I will ever be able to try everything I liked, but I am well on my way to enjoying the Swiss Colony collection. So if you are as busy as I am over the holiday season. Swiss Colony makes it possible to get everything done without Santa's help. Happy shopping
The prices are high but when you add the shipping and handling it just becomes ridiculous. I like the petit fours but I will not be ordering again.
I like what I received need sugar free which i got. But didn't get my full order and the postage was too high
I ordered Swiss Colony product from a 3rd party because it was free shipping on December 8th and it was supposed to be delivered on December 23rd, but because of the lack of response from Swiss Colony I was encouraged to cancel the order from the 3rd party. After three attempts to contact Swiss Colony and two attempts to cancel the order through the 3rd party, I heard nothing from Swiss Colony. As a result, I purchased the item from Swiss Colony directly. I received a call today from the receiver of the gift and they thanked me. So the item was not canceled, Swiss Colony never contacted the 3rd party, and they never responded to me until today - after the product was delivered. As a result, I tried to call Swiss Colony today to cancel the direct order - no one is answering their phones due to a high call volume and told to call back later. An email is also posted on their site to contact customer service. I have sent three emails - I have not heard anything. So since December 12th when all this started Swiss Colony has not contacted me at all. I received an email stating that the item has been shipped. Completely asinine - it went from pending, to processing, and now shipping within one hour. It states on their website that you can click the cancel button - there was no cancel button for the order. The company is a joke and just not customer focused.
Swiss Colony sent us a shipment, containing mostly perishable foods, that we never ordered totaling over $400! After discovering this fraudulent order, we immediately contacted customer service at Swiss Colony and explained that this was fraud and that we never placed said order. Since the charge did not appear on our credit card, we inquired about the payment method for this fraudulent order and were told that it was charged to our Swiss Colony account. We explained that we do not have a Swiss Colony account and requested the customer service representative to verify that we have no account. Upon checking, she determined that, although Swiss Colony created an account without our permission, there was no data in that account, no payment method, identification, NOTHING except our name and address. After explaining to the representative that we live in a remote area well over 30 miles from the closest donation facility, we requested Swiss Colony to have their courier pick up this fraudulent order and have it returned to Swiss Colony. Even so, we received a rude email the next day ordering us to drive the 60+ mile round trip to donate the order, obtain a receipt on official stationary and mail it back to Swiss Colony. Only then would they even consider not charging us for this fraudulent order.
At almost 80 years of age I feel that it is not only unfair, but irresponsible and illegal of Swiss Colony to force me to spend the time, energy and money to drive the 60+ miles and spend that money on gasoline all for Swiss Colony's screwup.
After this experience, I suggest that anyone looking for the type of merchandise Swiss Colony offers, look elsewhere. Do not purchase anything from this horrible company.
Tip for consumers:
We did not place this order. This is a fraudulent order.

I've been ordering from Swiss Colony since 1980! Their deliveries are alway around my target date I pick and they stand by their commitment of FREE replacements if my order was shorted an item!
I've Loved every creamy cheese spread I've purchased, on top of crackers and thick slices of various breads along with their hard cheeses and sausages sliced, making a festive display by arranging them on chess boards with various toppings!
Swiss Colony also have mouth-watering treats, so delicious, it a party for the eyes as well as the tummy, making it rather difficult to choose just a few to fit our budget lately, yet we always get a little something, even if it's just their FREE Gift tin of chocolates to satisfy our sweet-tooth over the holidays!
With all my praise, you just might be wondering why I am only giving a rating of 3 Stars. My Reason: The Delivery Charge is Outrageously High.
As a longtime customer of 42 years, we have gotten older along with the company. Our family has expanded with children, their marriages and grandchildren, making budgeting a necessity now.
We all look for Free Shipping now, or at lease an incentive to shop at stores that Offer a good percentage off. However, having recently placed an order at Swiss Colony this year, I was Shocked to see my Delivery Charge and Surge Charge for that delivery charge came to over $42.00! That was Only for the delivery, and the few gift variety packs are all being shipped to our home! (we hand them out before Christmas!)
Before I placed the order I called Swiss Colony's Customer Service to request Free Shipping or a percentage off for being a "Valued Customer" for 42 years. I was politely told they could not.
Then why am I always being told I'm a Valued Customer to Swiss Colony?
We decided, with reluctance, to place the order this year. Yet, next year will sadly have to be different.

There prices are overwhelmingly the item you receive looks nothing like the picture its wayyyyy smaller its not worth the money...
Several of my items were not received today. I was supposed to receive 12 boxes total. According to the tracking numbers provided, all of the items were delivered by FedEx today. However, the picture from FedEx clearly shows that only five items were delivered to my address.
The FedEx tracking status also shows that the 27 Favorites for my sister was delivered to my address today, when in all actuality it was delivered to the correct house in Green Bay.
When I tried to call your customer service line, it was extremely difficult to get information from the automated system, and when I tried to ask for a representative, it said there was a high volume of calls, to call back later, and hung up on me. That is HORRIBLE customer service. I tried to email them through their website, and I kept getting an error message that my message wouldn't go through.

In December, 2018 I attempted to place an order for corporate gifts via their website. Entered over 20 names/addresses into the address book in my account. The system would not process the orders from the address book. I contacted customer service for assistance and was advised I would have to enter each order individually (over 25 orders). After placing the orders one by one, the credit card started declining them as there were several of them coming in at the same time. I called customer service again. Was told this time that the first person I spoke to was wrong and I should have been able to do it all in one order. She then placed each order while I was on the phone (again, over 20 orders) and made sure the credit card transactions went through. I spent hours on a task that should have taken a few minutes. To make matter worse, a year later, I receive an invoice for $28.98. Couldn't believe it. Hadn't heard from them at all and then a year later I get an invoice. Called the customer service number, couldn't get in touch with a representative as every time it said it was transferring me to the operator, I got disconnected. Tried to reach them via email. Was given the customer service number again. Again got disconnected when attempting to reach a representative. Emailed them back and asked for a different number. Called the new number, spoke to someone and explained the issued, she said she was transferring me to someone else, got disconnected AGAIN. Called back. Had to explain it all again. Got put on hold. Customer service representative came back and told me the supervisor did not have the authority to credit the account. I asked for to speak with someone that did. He said I would have to hold for quite a while. Got put on hold again. Supervisor came on after a few minutes and said she looked at it and it appeared that the charge was initially declined but then went through, however, she would have to confirm with the accounting department which may take 24-48 hours. I asked for a call back when it was cleared up. She said I would have to call them back but not to call back for 24-48 hours. Unbelievable. I will NEVER do business with them again.
I placed and order a week ago for my granddaughter's Christmas present. I received a catalog indicating I am pre-approved and when I placed my one item which was about $40 the person told me my purchase will be delivered on December 9th 2021 he didn't ask me anything about how I would pay i assumed my credit was as they said PRE-APPROVED, which was fine. After several days and not receiving an email regarding my credit approval and informing me how much I need to pay a month, I called back and again I was told I will be receiving an email in a day are so, again NOTHING no email, no telephone call, no denial letter, NOTHING! So I called back for the third time because I didn't want my gift to be sold out, so I spoke to a gentleman he was nice but couldn't answer my credit question and transferred me to customer service, and she couldn't answer my credit question and transferred me to a woman in credit who hung up on me! DON'T WALK AWAY FROM ORDERING FROM THIS COMPANY... RUN! AND PLEASE REMOVE MY NAME FOR ALL FUTURE CATALOGS!
Oh, how surreal a bad customer service experience can a person have?
I had ordered presents for a number of people online. I got some of the presents, along with a letter saying I needed to call them to order alternative items because some weren't available.
Huh. So, why were they selling items that were unavailable? The website certainly showed they were available. Any other e-commerce company would have sent an email immediately saying that something was unavailable, but apparently not Swiss Colony. No, they have to send a snail-mail "call us" letter that arrives the same day as the package.
That's when things got REALLY surreal. I called their main customer service number that was in my emails. I couldn't speak with anyone unless I answered a survey COMPLETELY UNRELATED to the business I had with them, and NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS. The questions were whether there were any people over 50 in my household, and if anyone in my household has a car. I did not press any buttons. Rather than letting me through to the main menu, their system hung up on me. That's a deal-ender right there, for ever spending money with them again.
I looked for another number, and discovered that the letter had an alternative to call. After a long wait, I got to one rep who apparently was in the wrong department and couldn't do anything. Another long wait, and I finally talked to someone who could. It turned out that the letter was a lie. I didn't need to call them. The one good thing in all this nonsense was that they apparently don't charge for items they can't fulfill. However, might they just want to SAY that in an email showing an adjusted charge and a list of items that ARE coming?
Horrible communications, horrible service, and apparently predatory survey gatekeeping which, I'm sure, will tie people's phone numbers back to their answers for future marketing by their "partners." In all, never again.
I ordered 2 boxes of petits-fours and a box of liqueur balls As free gifts for my order, I was to receive a box of petits-fours and a tin of chocolates. I ordered via phone, and asked if I can split the order to go to two different recipients. The woman said no problem, and I gave her the address to ship ONE box of petits-fours to Arizona, while the rest of the order, including the two free items, was to be shipped to Connecticut.
Well, the ENTIRE order was mistakenly shipped to AZ, and NOTHING to CT. When I called customer service, the first tier of customer service admitted they made a mistake, but that she did not have the authority to ship the balance of the order to CT. So then I was passed off to level 2 customer service. While she DID HAVE the authority to ship the balance of the order to the correct address, she said I'd receive no free items. She then passed me to level THREE customer service, who made it seem like Swiss Colony was doing me a huge favor shipping out my order to the correct address. AND oh, by the way, I wouldn't be receiving the free items because "we are out of them". I asked if there weren't any other items they could send in their place, and was told "no, we're out of free items". So I asked if they couldn't substitute any other items in place of the "out of stock free items", and was told no. ("NO" seems to be the operative word at Swiss Colony). I said "Do you mean that a big company like Swiss Colony is completely out of chocolate?" Ave actually said "Yes, we are out of chocolate". I then asked if there was ANYTHING they could do to make up for their botched order process, and was told "NO!" This customer service rep also told me that we were lucky in the first place to even GET these free items, as I missed the deadline to receive them. Funny, but I don't feel lucky at all!
We have been ordering gift baskets from Swiss Colony for 30 years. We had a few minor glitches in the past, but we've never been so shabbily treated before. This will be our very last order from Swiss Colony, as it's obvious that their order handling AND customer service has completely tanked. I'm taking my money elsewhere. My order # was *******

My Aunt sent me and my family the most amazing cookies from Swiss Colony last Christmas. It was like taking a trip back to my childhood at Christmas time. I wanted to place the identical order and spoke to my Aunt, asking which cookies she had ordered. She actually had the receipt on-hand and read it off to me. I placed the identical order, only to discover that while the title for this variety of cookies was the same -the cookies had in fact changed! They did however, have the identical assortment of cookies under a different product name. I called less than 12 hours from the time my order had been placed and BEFORE anything had even shipped. Customer service basically told me that there was nothing they could do for me and suggested that I create a whole new order. Obviously, I was not intending on spending $90 on Christmas cookies. So, I ended up leaving a negative review on their site, to which they responded. They wanted to somehow make things right. I went back and forth several times via their customer service email. They wanted me to either choose something similar to the cookies I ordered, which would have been the correct Spring Cookies obviously! Either that or settle for a price adjustment. This is their message word for word: Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience we have caused you. Your business is important to us, and your complete satisfaction is guaranteed! As your order has shipped, no further changes can be made; however, we do want to correct this situation for you. Please let us know your choice - a replacement of an item like the Holiday Cookies or an adjustment. As soon as we receive your response (including the item number if you would like something similar), we will proceed accordingly.
Guaranteed?...Well, I just wanted the right cookies from the start. I asked for the cookies under the different name (Spring Cookies). They reply stating that those cookies are no longer available, even though they show up as being available on their website. This is what I got back: Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience we have caused you. We apologize that the item you requested, A*******, is not available at this time. Every effort is made to create a catalog that provides variety and interest to everyone. Occasionally, some items must be deleted to make way for new ones.
No response when I asked for an adjustment either. None. What I got back was my original shipping confirmation for the wrong cookies and no price adjustment whatsoever.
They waited until the item shipped and then failed to honor what they had offered me for my aggravation. So pointless and all too time consuming.
I have ordered seasonally from Swiss Colony many years ago as well. I was a loyal customer, but I will never shop them ever again. Scrolling through their reviews says a lot. Stale cookies and far too many changes with their products. No thanks.
Tip for consumers:
Don't.
