I'm honestly baffled by the negative reviews. I received my order very promptly and it was packaged very nicely. Four boxes of goodies for less than $65 including shipping! I really don't know how you could have a problem with that. The petit fours are wonderful.
I placed an order with my account with Swiss Colony and the recipient didn't get it, they delivered to someone else and then after hours of being on hold it finally gets sorted out and my recipient gets the product. Fast forward 30 days and the recipient gets a bill instead of me. Very embarrassing. After another 2 hours making phone calls each person sends to another each telling something different like Brandon said I had to get a letter notarized stating the matter but finally I got someone with some common since and fixed it while we were on the phone. I was thankful for that hopefully she is correct in saying that. I then ask how they would compensate me for all the frustration and she said she could take off $9.56. WOW! This is a money hungry company not in the business of good customer service. I will now tear up my Credit Card to never use again and tell everyone I know.
I just received a sales and use tax notice from The Swiss Colony for taxes they didn't collect on a Christmas gift I ordered through them for relatives. Never again will I ever order anything from this company, and I'm telling everyone.
I call because what they were charging me was more than the web site and order sheet had for shipping and processing charges. When I called the lady was rude and told me that she was having trouble hearing me, as I put the phone closer to my mouth (had it on speaker) she hung up on me! FYI the shipping and processing cost was half of my order! Canceled my account and I'm done with them.

I used to order from Swiss Colony in the 1990's and was very satisfied with the products (size & quality), not anymore. I ordered from them for several different family members last Christmas, pistachios for a nephew and blue cheese for my sister. I feel so duped! The size, quality and quantity of the pistachios were embarrassing. I went to visit my nephew last weekend and the tin of nuts is still 1/2 full. He loves nuts but when he showed me why he didn't eat them, I was mortified and felt so bad for him and me. As far as the blue cheese my sister got, it tasted fine but I could have spent 1/3 the $ at my local grocery store for boreshead. I tried to close my account with Swiss Colony and they hung up on me, not once but 5 times. I spoke with "Cissy Jones" a manager who said she closed my acct, that was 5 days ago, account still open. I called again today and got much the same service and lies. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!
DO NOT order any thing from this company. Chances are you will not receive your product, they refuse to give you back your money, it appears they are actually in China, I never received my product or money, horrible company

I had the worst time with the customer service, even after speaking with a manager by the name of Jennifer! I was trying to pay my bill in full the total amount through there automatic system that wasn't working correctly after speaking to a customer service first then she hung up the phone on me. I called back again second time got another different customer service on the phone he was acting as I couldn't speak with the manager. Once the manager got on the phone she wasn't any help and they all was trying to charge me a fee if I had to pay my bill through the customer service. They all was terrible! Finally I was able to pay my bill in full and I don't ever plan to order again from Swiss Colony!
I purchased 10 lbs of meats/cheese from Swiss Colony for my Family/Friends this Holiday Season, which came with a complementary tin of chocolates. The package was delivered to the wrong address, and sat outside in the hot Florida sun for 2 days before the homeowner discovered the package and delivered it to me. It was not Swiss Colony's fault (FedEx made the delivery error), and Swiss Colony offered to refund or replace the order. This was going to be a big part of my Holiday giving, but I don't feel comfortable asking Swiss Colony for anything. Swiss Colony should be able to hold FedEx accountable. Having said that, I will not order from Swiss Colony again. It's too risky, and I don't have that kind of money to risk, and have my Holiday ruined.
Placed order, PRE APPROVED to insure delivery. NO letter was ever sent to deny order. In fact just paid off my last payment from last year. Waited two days for packages to arrive. NASTY CUSTOMER SERVICE, hung up on twice! No phone call, NOTHING! Two days before Christmas and this company don't give a F! Never again order from this cheesy lousy outfit again! I order an item that they said was available two days later they cancel my order claiming it was unavailable at this time. (Bate and Switch) So in haste I order another item I was unsure the person I was giving it to would enjoy it. I Tried to cancel it with in 30 minutes, first call did not go through 3 emails no replies. 2nd phone the representative assured me it was canceled because it hadn't been shipped yet. Two days later I was informed because my emails came "after the produce was shipped I could not cancel them" I wished I would have read the reviews before ordering from this company.
Kept getting the run a round regarding why my order would not ship. Customer service wa rude and only would say unfortunately there is nothing we can do.

For the third time I have ordered Christmas gifts for people on my list who live away. This year was especially bad because some gifts were RECEIVED before December 1st. The man who took my long order, over the phone, guaranteed me numerous times that the SHIPPING day on all 12 orders was December 12th. Inappropriate and so disappointing. It would have been much less embarrassing had the packages not arrived until after Christmas than a few days after Thanksgiving.

I wish I would have checked out their reviews before ordering, but I've seen them for years and years so thought it would be great. It was a gift so I asked for the delivery to be made on 12/16 but got notification that it would be delivered on the 7th, which it wasn't and it was finally delivered on the 9th. The first box anyways, the second one, which were chocolates were delivered the next day and just left at the door. What a mess! Will never order again, or recommend this company!

I ordered New Years gifts from this company for my business partners, typed in FIVE different addresses on the site for them to be delivered to along with notes to all of them. THEY WERE DELIVERED TO MY DOORSTEP. That was not how they were ordered. They are refusing to give me my money back. Now they want me to donate the items to a food bank and reorder AT MY EXPENSE. I will not be going anywhere during COVID19. That was the whole point of having things delivered to people individually. Do not ever order from this company. They are treating me like I'm some kind of idiot. I didn't spend 30 minutes looking up addresses, writing individual notes to have them delivered here. Side note: if their items are perishable as they so state in their email to me, why were they not delivered in ice, rather just thrown on my doorstep. Again DO NOT EVER ORDER from them. You got my hard earned $208.00., I hope that makes you happy.

Update: Fed-Ex received the product(s) for shipping on 12/13 and they were delivered today 12/14. Received e-mail from customer service saying items were shipped on 12/5 and to expect up to 10 days delivery time. I think when your products sit in limbo for 10 days (i.e. Label created/not sent to fed-ex yet) - and you have conflicting info (yes they shipped 12/5 - No Fed Ex has not received until 12/13) - it is worrisome for the customer. All they'd have to say is when you place the order "expect delays after creating label"...
I placed an order (2 gifts to 2 different addresses) on 12/3. The label was printed on 12/8. The current Status is FED EX has
NOT received the product yet to SHIP. Today is Dec 13th - that is 10 days.
I called Customer Service, could NOT get thru. I don't think that would help anyhow, based on other reviews. When I check with automated phone system, it says shipped on 12/5. Nope not according to Fed Ex tracking they have NOT even received the product yet, therefore they can not give me a delivery date. They could send out e-mails saying "expect delays" or something, instead of outright lying about it.

This company has a policy that allows people to "buy now and pay later." Yet they have no control over this scheme. I was supposedly sent a cake by a person. I did not order it, nor want it. However, the person took the buy now pay later option. 7 months later I received the bill for the order. When I called customer service, they verified that another person had ordered the cake, but then refused to tell me anymore or delete me as the person who owed money to them. Instead I was sent to Loss Prevention, and spoke with a woman named Tracy who clearly has never actually done any fraud investigation in her life. Despite immediately placing the account in fraud status, this company is now requiring that I go through a dispute to prove I never ordered it. They have the account number and can look up who set up the account (not me) and applied for their credit (as it requires a social security number) and refuse to do so. They even then acknowledged that the cake that was supposed to be sent to me was never delivered but somehow want money for it? Save yourself the hassle and order from a company with values. This company has none.

This was my first experience with Swiss colony, and never again! I got a catalog and thought I'd use this company for my Christmas gifts. They offered a free gift, chocolates and petit fours. I placed an order for my dad and wanted the free gift to come to me. The website said, to do this, call after placing the order and they will split them up for another 3.99. Good luck. I had to call with my son's phone because my number kept getting recognized and sent to an automated system. After much trouble, I reached someone in the credit department who transferred me, saying they couldn't help. I reached someone in orders and he told me that he couldn't help me and that 'customer service' was unavailable that day and to call back tomorrow. Are you kidding? I called back the next day in the morning and could not reach a human. I sent an email, asking for help. This morning, I got a reply saying that the order already shipped and because of that, they couldn't help. Now about 3 pounds of sugar is going to my diabetic father for Christmas. STAY AWAY from Swiss Colony.
First of all trying to understand someone from the Philippines to take your order. Second if all scamming the $1.99 insurance as a monthly charge! At first I said ok. But she failed to tell me it would be monthly. When I said no I don't want it she said she couldn't take it off. I wanted to speak to a manager, but was told she wasn't available! If a company is trying to gain customers they providing good service to them!
My mom has been purchasing me a fruit cake from Swiss colony since I was 16 it is my birthday and Christmas present every year since then I'm now 62 and I cannot see myself not getting this cake every year I have never had a problem with Swiss colony the shipping is prompt and whenever I need to call them they are very helpful and accommodating this year my cake was delivered to the wrong house and I got on the phone with them instantly and they instantly refunded me and sent me another cake so you people who have a problem with Swiss colony you need to check yourself because if you call these people with a positive attitude you will get positive results thank you

This was my very first time ordering from The Swiss Colony and it will absolutely be my last time. I was expecting some top notch charcuterie items but I must say that what I received was not worth the $50 I paid for it. With the name being "Swiss Colony", I had hoped for some delicious Swiss chocolates instead of items that were cheap Dollar Store quality with melted chocolate covered peanuts and stale low quality chocolate balls. The yule logs tasted like Dollar Store bootleg ring dings. Nothing they sent had an expiration date on it so I'm pretty confident from the looks and taste when I say these items must have been years out of date. I wish I had done some checking on my end first before ordering. I would have seen the 1.39 customer satisfaction rating this company has and read the poor reviews before spending my cell phone bill money on this garbage. If I had, I would have read the other 116 critical reviews from other people who purchased from this company. Totally Disappointed.

I have been ordering from Swiss colony 7th avenue and Jenny for almost two years now payments are paid early every month and because of a bad issue with Montgomery Ward they refused to accept any more orders I give them zero Stars my suggestion to you don't order from any of the accounts because no matter how good standing you keep your order they'll screw you over
My family and I have been ordering from this company for years now with absolutely no problems whatsoever. However, I had a late delivery recently that has since been solved; my issue was with a customer service representative I spoke to about the late delivery inquiry. She was unbelievably rude, just raising her voice and yelling, being very impatient and snappy if I did not answer her questions quick enough. If all that wasn't already unnecessary and unprofessional enough, she actually hung up in my face! Swiss Colony, if you come across these reviews, please do not disregard your customers complaints. Please always teach and remind your employees to value and appreciate their customers, to treat them with respect, or in the future, there will be no customers left. The only reason I am giving a rating less than a 5-star is because of that unexpected customer service incident. Otherwise, the products I received were perfect as usual and everything else was beyond satisfactory. Thank you.
WORST COMPANY EVER! I Placed an order in March for Easter goodies to be mailed to my grandkids and my parents, I get an email asking to call them so I can make a deposit before shipping the items which I did. Hours later I get another email saying the items I had ordered were no longer available so I called first thing in the morning to ask for a refund. I was told that they'll be mailing me a and l said "no check I paid with a credit card and I want that money back in my card" ok they said "it'll take 3-5 days" so today is 4/20 and I get an email saying "A check has been mailed to you and it'll take 7-10 days to arrive". I called again and told them "I said no check, so now they're putting a stop to that check and supposedly refunding my credit card. I asked for another type of compensation since issuing a refund shouldn't take a month all they said "we will give you $10 off your next order" like really?

SCAM ALERT! Long story short, they mailed me a bill for the products purchased, when I went online to pay the bill, I received multiple errors that "my account couldn't be found." So, after a call to the company telling me the same thing, I forgot about it (thought maybe I had paid in full at time of purchase and the bill was an error). Nope, received another bill, this time with late fees, when I called again I was told they would add even more fees if I paid over phone, and needed to pay online, even though AGAIN my account could not be found. So I reached out AGAIN via email to customer service, who assured me they would take care of the outstanding late fee (I had already mailed a check with balance on account), THEY DID NOT, BUT INSTEAD REPORTED ME TO CREDIT BUREAU. An absolute scam. DO NOT ORDER. Also, in dealing with this learned they ARE NOT ACCREDITED BY THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. Wish I had known this.
