I'm honestly baffled by the negative reviews. I received my order very promptly and it was packaged very nicely. Four boxes of goodies for less than $65 including shipping! I really don't know how you could have a problem with that. The petit fours are wonderful.
I placed an order with my account with Swiss Colony and the recipient didn't get it, they delivered to someone else and then after hours of being on hold it finally gets sorted out and my recipient gets the product. Fast forward 30 days and the recipient gets a bill instead of me. Very embarrassing. After another 2 hours making phone calls each person sends to another each telling something different like Brandon said I had to get a letter notarized stating the matter but finally I got someone with some common since and fixed it while we were on the phone. I was thankful for that hopefully she is correct in saying that. I then ask how they would compensate me for all the frustration and she said she could take off $9.56. WOW! This is a money hungry company not in the business of good customer service. I will now tear up my Credit Card to never use again and tell everyone I know.
This company is the absolute worst! We placed a $3K 31 item order in mid November to be delivered today 12/11 and not a single item has shipped. The online system doesn't even show our order in "Order History" we had to locate the printed copy of the order, manually enter the order number and the order mystically appeared, but is NOT shipped. This is the SECOND YEAR IN A ROW THAT THIS COMPANY HAS BURNED US AND THIS IS OUR LAST TIME USING SWISS COLONY.

By the name of CRYSTAL I asked for a supervisor name Alisha with no satisfaction. Save yourself the frustration and the humiliation of shopping with this company. Ordered 3 things from Swiss Colony... I didn't want to wait for them to take my payment so I talked with them for an hour until one of their credit people said that they could charge me right away. I was cool with that. Their credit person said they had full payment, my bank card said they had full payment... But then yesterday they called and said that it declined when they went to ship it out.
I called Swiss Colony twice explained that I was told by their representative and my bank that they already had my money. Waste of time talking to 2 different people. Told me it was an authorization hold on my card, authorization? I asked to be outright charged for the items! And they took my money for the full payment!
So no happy with being lied to on the phone either last week or today or both.
Either you took my full payment like my bank says and the person last week said or you didn't, at this rate I don't care.
I don't recommend anyone buying from them if they can't get their business straight. I feel lied to by their employees and robbed.
What a waste. My wife placed an order with SC. Not a problem. Then out of nowhere they sent a duplicate order which we did not know about. When the duplicate order was arrived, we called SC to return the order. BUT this is where they get you; you cannot return a "food" order. We declined the order. SC just said keep the products and not to worry about it, all would be dropped. SC then opened up a SC account for the balance. We never consented to opening an account nor authorized it. After 3 weeks of talking to numerous staff at SC, we have decided to give up and pay for the second order, even though we did not want or authorize it. It is a small price to pay which is in mind criminal on SC's part, but not worth the time for small claims court nor the damage it could do to one's credit report. I put this information out there for people to read before placing an order with SC. Don't do it, their products may taste good, but the morals of the company tase like Sh! T. Never, never again will we order from SC. A sad sight for what used to be a great American company.

This company is unethical, inefficient, and very poor customer service. Avoid them entirely. I've never been so angry with a company. They will lie. Never again. What a waste of time and money. I absolutely promise to file complaints with BBB and FTC. A class action lawsuit would be appropriate. I have just finished reading the reviews of 128 complaints similar to mine, all within the last year or so. I'm sure that the real number of people scammed by this company is at least 100 times higher-most people don't take the time to leave reviews. It's obvious that Swiss Colony is intentionally fraudulent in its business practices and should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. I will be looking into this further. It's time businesses remember who keeps them in business. They are not above the law. I have no intention of doing anything less, I'm sick of being rolled over by scammers. I'm going to make it my mission to see this through. Should utter and flagrant fraud like this can be ignored? What a disgrace to those who founded this company. Shame on you. I'm not kidding. You stressed me out and disrespected me directly in addition to wasting my time and causing me to change my holiday plans. I won't rest until every customer you have ripped off is compensated.

Never got order after several fraudulent actions on Swiss Colony’s end. They lied several times, put me through hours of nonsense, days of phone calls, and finally insisting the order was on its way, tracking saying label created for 8 days, then FedEx tells me they never received the item to ship. I then got an email from Swiss Colony asking how I enjoyed the products. Here we go again. They told me I couldn’t cancel order literally hours after I ordered because it was on a refrigerated truck and I can’t return food items. Lie. Lie. Lie. They didn’t even create the label until 4 days after they told me it was on the truck. Lie. Scam. Cheat. Steal.
Last year I placed an order with Swiss Colony and didn't find out until one week before Christmas that they did not approve the order. They said it was because there was a fraud alert placed on my account which I placed myself. Instead of verifying my identity they canceled my order. I called and a woman placed each order to 31 different people individually, which took over an hour on the phone. I offered to pay with a credit card and they refused to take my payment. Fast forward one year later here we are 2022 and no one is able to remove the fraud alert or check to verify my identity so that I can use their credit service. Also, last year some people got their gifts for Christmas on Thanksgiving and other people didn't get their gifts until a week or so after Christmas last year. Some people got two of the same thing. After this year I don't think I will be using them again. I paid for everything this year but can't seem to get through to anyone in order to verify my identity and remove the fraud alert.
I've been a customer for as long as I can remember. The fruitcake was always top notch. I placed the order along with gifts for 3 other family members to arrive before Christmas. In the past, it was shipped out within 10 days. This time they sent a letter that arrived on Dec. 5 indicating that my credit card didn't go through. That is a mystery because they had the right number etc. I called them and gave them a different cc. Same story. They couldn't tell me why. I'm assuming they did not have my correct name. Thought I had it straightened out with the second call to customer service. Still no fruitcake! Called back again, and they gave me the same excuse. Could not tell me if the card would go through and they couldn't process my order. I'm so frustrated because now it is Dec. 20th and my order is still not shipped. To top it off the free item is now not available, and they will not substitute. I'm going to call again this evening and if it didn't ship today, I'm going to cancel. No more orders with them! I noticed that all the positive reviews were years ago. Swiss Colony has gone downhill. I understand they may not have enough help, especially during this time, but that doesn't excuse poor customer service.
My family and family business has been sending out gifts and ordering for our family for at least 35 years. Myself and my children have enjoyed Swiss Colony every Christmas as long as I can remember. I placed an order a month ago which 1 item was sold out. The company reached out and asked me to pick another item to replace it with, which I did. I received the order with out the replacement and I reached out to find out what happened. I explained to customer service what had happened through multiple emails and never being able to get through on the phone due to lines being busy. I was asked what I would like to replace and was under the assumption that that would be sent due to the company's mistake. Again after 3 weeks of emailing. Then the last email after I going the customer service what I would like to replace, was telling me to place a new order? So they company makes a mistake and I'm supposed to pay the shipping cost again? I reached out with this response as to why I need to be paying shipping again and have been totally ignored. Horrible business and they have lost a life long customer. Hickory Farms will now have my family's business.

Last year I ordered from Swiss Colony. The order came after Christmas which left me in a bind. I thought I would give them another chance this year. Once again they ticked me off. I live in a state where food, that is consumed at home, is exempt from sales tax. Swiss Colony tried to charge sales tax on my order. They also tried to charge $1.99 extra for special charge on shipping. I told them the $1.99 was not on the order form I sent and what they did was illegal. They agreed to take it off but refused to take off the sales tax saying there was nothing they could do. I told them what they are doing is illegal in my state and I cancelled the order. They cancelled the order and said they will send a refund. That was 6 weeks ago. No refund yet. They sure don't mind taking your money in a second, yet takes their sweet time refunding it. Never again will I order from them. Note to all of you who live in a state where food is exempt from sales tax, check your invoice and see if they illegally charged you a tax. Notify the BBB and your state attorney general.

I ordered 4 items. I received only 3 of the 4 and its no longer available. So they suggested that I get a replacement and said it would be the same price as the one i didn't get. Then my credit card shows that they charged me double than the one I ordered. They didn't just ruin my party plan by failing to send my order that meant something for my party, they charged me double for the item not even as good as the one I ordered. So I told them to cancel. And they said they couldn't because they already had it ready to be shipped. So I would have to return it. I told them I would be out of town and won't be around to receive. Instead of compensating me for my disappointment, since now I won't have the item I had plan for the party, they refused to refund me until I send back the replacement item. So the item would be at my home for 2 weeks while I'm gone. I'm afraid it may not be there when I get back if someone takes it. So it means I'm $#*! out of luck. So this holiday is ruined because I don't have the item I ordered, and I'm charged for the crap they sent that I may not have when I get back. NEVER again I order from them.

I ordered from this company last year when it was delivered it was 7 outside everything in it was completely frozen solid I am mediately called the company the young lady told me that they guaranteed satisfaction she did not want me to send the candy back and that I would not be charged for it I explained to her that it was not protectly wrapped it was just in the Box she said they understood. I received a bill and January of twenny twenny I immediately called them again I was told to disregard it I had been getting mail from their company as I was not in interested in order anymore I would just toss it out. Much to my surprised when I check my credit report here a few weeks back they had reported to the credit bureau for non payment and double charged me it's absolutely ridiculous I hope I can get this cleared up their customer service is Bad!

Made an order and was told it would be delivered on the 21st., They attempted to deliver it 2 days early without notifying us, and left a tag on the door because we were not home. We called FED EX to see if they could redeliver the package seems that part of the order needs refrigeration and was told we would have to wait until the 21st to have it redelivered. We told FED EX to just send the packages back. We called to let Swiss Colony know that we told FED EX to return the packages and the customer service tells us that we have to now pay the shipping from them and the return shipping! I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN! HORRIBLE PLACE!

Many years ago, I placed an order for Christmas goodys for family and friends. Its been so long ago I can't remember what the problem was until I placed another order this year. I placed the order for $240 on Dec. 6,2021 and had charged it to my Visa card. 12 days later, on the 18th, I received a letter via snail mail from SC claiming the charge to my card was declined and were given no reason for the decline. I called my Credit card company and they had no record of the attempted charge. My Visa was in good standing. Oh! Now I remember! It was the same situation on my years ago order. The letter said they would continue with the order if I mailed a cashier's check for the full amount and of course that would have delayed the order and wouldn't arrive in time for Christmas unless I payed for overnight delivery, almost doubling the cost of the original order. I did not respond. I was able to order Amazon goodys on the 20th
