When I contacted customer service, I spoke to Khadeeja, who reassured me that my money was "safe" with them. I responded, telling her I never asked for my money to be "safe" with Talabat by being charged twice on my card. She then assured me that I would receive a refund within 5-7 days.
Later, I spoke with Mohd Mubin (manager Fikre), who clarified that it would take 5-7 working days. I patiently waited, but when I followed up on the 25th of September, I spoke to Hina, who once again reassured me that my money was "safe" and urged me to wait just one more day for the refund.
I decided to open a ticket through the Talabat app. A manager from the finance team reached out, informing me that the refund timeline would only begin on the 22nd of September, when the issue was supposedly "resolved," meaning the countdown had restarted.
Honestly, Talabat, is this your new method of making money? Charging my card twice and then forcing me to chase my own refund? Your service is beyond disappointing, and now you've stooped to robbery!

They charge twice for one order or cancel it after a long waiting time and don't send the money back. CS is the worst I ever experienced, absolute useless.

Takabat app became almost useless and not reliable especially with food orders. Support is so bad and useless and you couldn't reach easily as they couldn't help with the big problems on operations.
One of the examples my order #*******271 in Dubai, was cancelled after waiting for 50 minutes without even calling or explaining... just "sorry order again sir, without resolve". Repeated situation. I am shifting to delivaroo now
As I very clearly stated on the phone I will be requesting a refund through my bank under the visa guarantee. This is far from resolved. You delivered me inedible food, I contacted you straight away in November and have had to chase up the complaint over 20 times, because there is no way to contact you straight away otherwise I would have sent it straight back! The level of customer service is appalling, and I have all the evidence to back up what I am saying from the messages and emails. Issuing me a voucher as compensation is not refunding me my money. You are nothing but thieves. I will be posting me experience all over the Internet for others to read also! Absolutely shocking experience.

I placed an order through talabat but there was an item missing when delivered, when I asked the delivery guy about it he said I don't know sir.
I called the restaurant and guess what?! The dispatcher told me that sometimes the delivery guys eat the food, ain't that embarrassing!

Extremely bad and unprofessional customer service. It's a rip off. They charge you and then the restaurant declines the order simply because the restaurant has broke its deal with Talabat. However, Talabat did not remove the restaurant from their list. They promise that money will be refunded which never happens. When you contact them about that they claim money was refunded but it doesn't appear on your card statement which is simply a big lie. Moreover, you place the order online but your address doesn't show to the restaurant and they have to call to complete missing information. In addition to delays. In short it's the worst delivery service ever. Never again
Straight to the cons:
1- App UI is not organized when making an order (menu item selection is ordered in a misleading manner)
2- Tracking is outright fake. At one point it stated avg. 30 min for delivery, once I placed the order and checked out it gave me 1 and a half hour as a delivery time.
3- Most restaurants including popular fast food chains don't support live tracking, unlike other similar apps which support it.
4- Having to randomly input your saved address from scratch over and over again.
This is the first delivery app that makes calling wherever you're ordering from seem hassle free rather than ordering through Talabat
Talabat does not have a number to call for complaints especially to do with cancelled orders yet they have hotline to communicate with restaurants. Basically what you are saying is customers don't matter and if you pay online and your order is cancelled then you have to starve for days before they refund which is horrible. Just switch it to cash only because your service is useless.Im sure if you customers don't follow up that cash will not be refunded

Wish I could give them minus points. Tried ordering from a restaurant from which I previously ordered and it says selected area is not accurate. After chatting with Talabat customer service staff he says the restaurant doesn't deliver at your location when the restaurant still shows that it does deliver at my location before I could say anything else the chat was logged off. The food when it's delivered takes around 90 mins easily.my suggestion would be to stop using this app as it's not professional like uber eats in certain countries. I tried Talabat in Qatar btw where there are hardly other food delivery apps unfortunately. However, I will be trying the app Carriage heard its better than Talabat. Save yourselves the horror guys and don't order from this app.

This food service company is one of the worst to deal with. Long wait times, cancelled orders you name it they do it. They never cease to amaze you with different ways to ruin and worsen your day. It's been my pleasure to rate them at 1 star and if there was zeros stars, they would win that category in a heartbeat.

There was a delivery guy named USMAN who is really misbehaved with me, and very rude. He is not supposed to work in customer service if he doesn't know how to respect with customers. This was the first time I experienced this kind of person in your company. On phone he's telling me that I am mad and I'm joking with him, because I just mistaken mention to my adress a wrong number of floor. I know he's tired or whatever so but still he need to be respectful. Sadly I didn't take a photo of him so I can show all over the website his face. (so please be careful to this person, I had attached the number here.)
The order took 1 hour and 45 minutes, and system show delivered after 35 minutes, no phone answered, no one call to ask, robot service, can't call driver to track order, actually I was left with no minimum info other than sorry! Simply very poor
