I do not advise anyone to use this bank, it is the most terrible bank in America, they deceive customers.
I've been banking with TD for@ least 10-12 years now and on Mon May 8 I deposited a check for 6k into my acct. By the next morning I logged into my account & saw that they placed a 6 business day hold on the check. I've never done bad business wit TD in over 10 years I've never had a bounced check, also it's not a personal check it's an official TRowe Price check, everybody knows them. I don't think that it'll take 6 bus days to verify a TRowe Price check. This isn't the first time that I've been through this with TD, but after more than 10 years you would think that they would treat me way better than this. I will make them my secondary bank from now on if I don't close the acct altogether, cause they're just not worth it, it's way better banks out here. What horrible customer service, wish I could give them 0 stars.
First of all, let me say Hello TD bank, this review is not about your company but about Monica one of your CSR at your online center...Shes is a keeper...her voice is friendly which leave a smile on your face she has a contagious laughter that calms you down instantaneously, But it's not just her sense of humor that makes Monica stand out. She's also incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile to help out her customers. Whether you need to open a new account, or just have a question about your statement, Monica's got you covered. And she'll do it all with a smile on her face and a spring in her attitude, She proves that you can be professional and still have a great day at work She's the best thing to happen to TD bank since the invention of the ATM. And believe me I have dealt with the CSR team alot...
In my entire life i was never so disappointed and never so frustrated from a bank before like from this one. I mean guys if you planning going overseas you better get all your money cash 'cause once your voice won't mach you have to go back to canada just to get your money... let me repeat "YOUR MONEY" doesn't matter what you do you out 'cause them fancy supervisors on line let you wait for infinity just to tell you "sorry no voice mach no pass bye". I MEAN WHAT IS THAT FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE freaking BurgerKing has more patience than this guys.
I'm so unhappy with TD Customer services.
Should provide. Couldn't solve the customer's problems. Terrible
I had an appointment online but the person who called me asked me to visit a TD branch in person. He booked me an appointment in td branch 2453 Younge st himself. But when I went there they asked me to wait for a long time and then told me the person who I had appointment with is not there today and I should go back. A simple appointment wasted a lot of my time and they showed how irresponsible they are.
TD Bank are true scam artists. I have paid more in late fees then the amount of the loan because of their payment system. Constant issues blamed on no account/ insufficient funds when the account has more then enough to cover. They are just stealing your money.
Hi, my name is Sumbul. I had having issues paying my credit card Bill's online this morning. I called TD phone line. Customer services representative Emaan helped me and resolved all the issues. Excellent customer services.
TD has to have the worst customer service right next to RBC, and Walmart Canada!
I called the TD call center a LONG TIME AGO and changed the phone number on file, and ask that the other 2 numbers be taken OFF the file b/c I simply did NOT have them any longer.
Now, one would think that b/c it was actually a LIVE agent I was speaking with that works for the TD bank, they'd be able to follow simple instructions, But NO. So, I go to log into my account the other day, and doesn't the TD bank decide to $#*! up my day, and ask to send a verification code. NOT to my NEW number that is SUPPOSED to be on my file, like, over 4-months ago now, but to either of the numbers that, 4-months ago, I was assured got taken OFF the file.
Now, if these numbers are supposed to have been removed 4-months ago... why the $#*! is TD asking to send a verification code to two phone number that I DO NOT HAVE, and haven't had for over 4-$#*!ING-MONTHS?!
Got a mailer from you offering a bonus. Stupidly, I took the bait. I have wasted a huge amount of time trying to get that bonus and you've had my money for 9 months. Even managers can't talk to the bonus department directly. There's something wrong with this system. Now I'm told you wanted me to take a picture of the mailing from back in may? Seriously? I only do business with institutions I trust. That is not you. Live up to your advertising!
I don't have services/accounts with TD Bank including credit card service; yet, they sent me a credit card based on past service I had with them many moons ago.
There is no way I can get them to confirm this will never happen again.
The complaints escalation letter I received from them had a name and contact number on it. That person and phone number was never accessible.
Stay away from TD Bank.
When TD was new to NY they would bend over backwards to prove how different they were to other banks ( free pens, very late hours, dog biscuits), now that they are established and no longer need to kiss anyone's butt, they are showing their true colors.
I simply wanted to update my phone number as the old one is no longer valid and that locks you out of your online account. She said my phone number could not be verified and as such she would not update my account. I would rather keep all my money under the mattress - they don't deserve my business.
We have a TD Bank home equity line of credit that we used to put in a new deck. One of our contractors deposited the incorrect amount on a check back in March 2022. 6 months later TD Bank went in and changed the amount and it went over our line of credit limit. First off, TD Bank told us we could never increase our line of credit limit without reapplying for a loan again from the beginning, yet when a contractor check is entered incorrectly, they have no hesitation in going over your line of credit and adding it to your bill.
I told them I could pay the overage, but not all at once since it was roughly $2,500 and it was the holidays. The rep on the phone put me on hold for about 5 minutes to see if they could do a payment plan and she came back and said "No." So I told her I could pay this off in amounts of $400-500 each month. She said they would note the account and to pay off what I could. Well, they barely gave me anytime. Instead, they called multiple times a day, every day at work, right at 8:00 am! Even on Christmas Eve they called asking to pay the full amount. Without any message or notice they reported my payment as late. Which ended up dropping my credit score from a 720 to 630! Terrible customer service. They don't care about their customers. They didn't even give me a chance to pay off the amount. The rep I talked to said one thing and their action was another.
The call center Roxanne was fantastic and very friendly.TD bank well recommended and customer service on their branches are all nice and very accommodating
I'm not one to write bad reviews but TD is a terrible bank! Would not recommend them! They don't value their customers and I've had nothing but problems with them lately.
I have full Power of Attorney (POA) for handling my mother's affairs. I went in to the Chilliwack Branch of TD (at the Cottonwood Mall) to do some banking and they would not accept the POA paperwork. No explanation other than "We just can't accept it." I'm glad we paid hundreds of dollars to a lawyer to get a POA set up only to find out that TD won't accept it. Very unprofessional.
I received a gift card and attempted to use it. However, the card was denied. Several calls to customer service were made wand I was advised that the TD bank no longer issues gift cards but I could received a check for the amount of the card. I was assured by customer service rep that a check would be issued and I could expect it in 7-14 days. I waited for the allotted time no check, Another call to customer service and I was told that my request had not been processed, but another request would be processed immediately. Here it is over a month and I still am not in possession the the promised "refund". I am not a customer of TD but this interaction with TD will assure I will never be a customer.
I attempted to open a personal account at a Crowfoot branch and deposit a $300,000.00 bonus check, which was written on a TD business account with all the funds there and the manager had suggested I use my Royal Bank account to deposit the funds then transfer the funds over when they have time to open an account for me. Result my funds are already at a savings account at the Royal where they are going to stay. A note to the TD Bank you should quit your advertising campaign on TV for new customers when your bank employees are to lasy to open a new account with a $300,000.00 deposit
I never heard of TD Bank and their branded Samsung credit card until spotting a new account on my credit report. A thief used my name and good credit to buy $3868 of stuff from Samsung.
I get that lenders walk a fine line between making their applications too onerous and making it too easy to open a fraudulent account. However, you would think they could have verified that the address, phone number, and/or email on the application were known. Any one of these things would have been an improvement.
I'm still cleaning up the mess made when a criminal stole my identity and TD Bank allowed it to happen with their toothless identity verification. So it's safe to say I'm not a TD Bank fan.
TDBank feedback
Read this article please, before opening the bank account
I have had TDbank account in last 10 years and credit card in last 6 years approximately.
Actually, I did not need a credit card, but kept it only to keep my credit score up and always made on time payment back to credit card.
On 2022, when I urgently left USA and stuck in my homeland country, my balance was $315.17 and I forgot to pay.
TD bank started to charge me service fee and accordingly late payment.
They forced me to pay $649 and ruined my credit score too.
I understand that it is my fault, but I'm sure that any other bank would take care of customers, which I always heard from my friends.
Banks, which we trust our savings, must understand, and help us in this kind of situation. It might happen to anyone. But TDBank used it on their favor without remorse

Good Luck everyone
