You expect your money to be safe in a bank. You also expect your bank to be on your side and protect you from fraud, scams, etc.
HOWEVER, I have ost thousands of dollars, over the years, as a TD Bank customer. I've lost money in credit card disputes, and, most recently, I was scammed out of $1500, and, despite the fact that TD is VIOLATION OF A FEDERAL LAW, REGULATION E, they denied my fraud claim. This is the last straw! I am taking my money elsewhere and I advise ANYONE thinking of opening an account with them to think twice.
I'm wondering if the bank is in cahoots with the scammers, at this point. There is NO CONSUMER PROTECTION and worst of all, because TD is so large, everything is completely impersonal.
While you can file a dispute at a local branch, you never actually get the opportunity to speak with the dispute office. It's a cold, soulless institution and I am withdrawing all of my money ASAP!

Overall terrible.

DepositEd a cashier check(normally 1 buisness day)the issuer(m*t bank)peoples now, now it's 6 days and they told me if they caint verify the other signature and that the check belongs to me they'll have to send it back.so that means 2 more weeks to clear another bank. Right now I'm basically homless living with brother that wants me gone no vehicle, even to get a job or find shelter or pay my bills after a heart attack. Seems like the gov type burrokrcy and 'this is just the way it it is mentality"sad.

Do not open accounts with TD. My business Visa credit card is being charged every month and no one knows who is getting the money. I had to make 8 phone calls to TD customer care. The endless authentication process is excruciating despite being authenticated by the TD app. Spoke to Stephanie, Haris, Julia, Aman, Mira, Bithusha, Hanif in a single day and the manager Karen Licorish who was the worst. The service has not been provided. My credit card continues to be charged every month for some random "vendor"

Waiting 1 hour and 9 min, the service very bad this bank should close down, dispute item and never get result,
They don't care about customer at all i wouldn't even use their card, i am glad i don't have any account with them, baking 0 web page 0 credit card service 0 customer service 0 i dont know why this bank steel open,
Must be bad days coming,

It is extremely annoying when their employees randomly leave voice messages with their number but no details as to the reason for the call. Do they think I have time to call them when it is likely a sales call? I am busy, I have my own job to do too. I do not have time for their silly cat and mouse games. TD, stop bothering me and stop wasting my time.
There is too much red tape to do something simple with TD. For one transaction, sometimes they have me read and/or sign off ten papers and some are six pages long. It is very time consuming and inconvenient. No doubt, all the high fees they charge is paying for all this unnecessary paperwork. TD is an inefficient organization.

Never believe what they say. Never sign anything without read it from top to bottom.
My GICs matured and the adviser was trying to persuade me to reinvest but I was saying a very firm "NO". She have me signed that I declined her adviced which in reality I signed the back of GIC investment. When I found out what happened the whole establishment and their so called help departments was playing games with me until I told them I will tell my story to CTV and right away I start receiving phone calls for resolution. Which it really did not because you kind of resolving one problem but the same time you discovered another. There is no ending to their deceit.

Td bank allowed fraud on my account on July 22, the did not use their voice recognition or any type of prevention, instead allowed someone into my account discussed information and and caused 2 mobile deposits to cause me to lose $660 deposit and a $700 check that was deposited into the account for future usage instead they allowed someone access to change my pin and also gave them a platform to deposit 2 checks in to my account and then later charging me for their mistakes not giving me any partial refunds, afte4r a 20 day wait then they also, then denying my claims about the fraud after i filled out a incident report and caused also took my $660 deposit and $700 check which put me in the negative all because of them allowing someone into my account to process fake checks. They have also created disputes with progressive that I did not authorize casing me to pay my auto insurance twice... and the they next step should be to team up as a group and file a class action lawsuit. Not one provisional credit filed incorrect disputes and allowed fraud by giving someone all my information that has set me up for a failing situation. Now I can only speak with my local bank who in turn dont have time how are the feds and fdic allowing banks to take people money then they turn praise them and fine then allow them tax breaks as if it never happened...

Worst bank every!

Been with TD bank for 5 yrs I'm constantly getting maintenance fees, non atm fees, and the worst one is if you happen to over draft they continually charge you 35 after 35. $140 in overdraft fees for a 5 dollar item really TD bank. Word of the mouth is strong and as I'm switching banks I will let everyone I know about you all. Nickel and diming the hard working class that live pay check to paycheck. SHAME on you! I will post on every review site I can find. No option for you but we're sorry that's what you get when you call. If your thinking of using this bank I strongly recommend you don't!

The WORST bank!

I opened my daughter's second bank account with TD bank, it was my worst decision I made. She opened the bank acct to save the money, so she never really checked her balance. She knew that the money was there as she always saved the money from her dad and other family members. But one day when she wanted to use, her transactions got declined. She got confused and went to the bank. The teller printed the transactions and showed many transactions that were not done by her! So we claimed fraudulent. I requested the tab to be turned off. The claimed got rejected! When I called 2 hrs waiting and all of sudden it got cut, and I have to call back for 2 hrs again! And those phone calls wasted my 4 hrs waiting! And useless talking to their call centre! They are not helpful at all! I will stick to RBC bank! Been with them and 16 years I always happy on how they handle my situation! Stay AWAY from TD bank!

ÌThey won't reverse your mistake transaction even 1min after transaction happend;
Even Walmart give you 7 days to reverse your business with after 1 month.
This is stupid not to reverse your mistake after 1min

I tried to cash a ten dollar check at td bank however td bank charges a 10 dollar check cashing fee for non customers. Really? So on any check im charged 10 dollars? So in order to cash this check id have to pay the entire amount of the check? Most places will charge a percentage for check cashing under 100 dollars but not TD. One word, GREED.

I had requested for credit limit increase on my credit card and they took all my information and never get backed to me. Also, it will take hours and hours to connect to customer service. Worst service and worst bank I ever had in my life.

Horrible Bank

TD is by far the most fraudulent bank in North America. They have the most unscrupulous business practices. They CHARGE HIDDEN FEES. They lie about the accounts and then charge customers after they have their business. The business advisors are fraudulent and engage in such practices that it is akin to theft; however, because they are a large bank, they can get away with it. Their staff are all corrupt. Beware especially of the small business advisors. They find ways to lure you in and then start charging hidden fees without the customer's consent. Be careful about placing your money in any account with TD - they will steal it all in a sneaky and unscrupulous manner without care or concern.

I believe that any company that stoops as low as to stealing donations should be investigated. What else are they doing that is Illegal? Trust is gone. Will never go back to this "bank"

I don't know of anybody who really loves their bank, but at least they're open on the weekend so its a bit more convenient than some other local banks. The local branch manager at least tries to be nice and greet guests, so I give them some credit for trying. I don't like their latest office redesign though: I think the layout is worse, and getting rid of the change machine (for counting coins and getting credit for that) made everything very inconvenient.

I received a promotion through the mail from this bank offering $200 off of $500 in the first 90 days of opening an account, which I was to apply before 11/05/21. I applied and was accepted on October 5th 2021. I made a purchase for over $500 within a week of receiving the CC. They only gave me $150 for the reward when I was supposed to get $200. I kept the paper for proof, but they still will not honor it. I filed a complaint with consumerfinance.gov. Hopefully they will get this rectified. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK! I wish I had known about all the complaints against this disgusting bank! The government needs to fine them or put them out of business! This is despicable, deceptive attempts to rip people off, Their are so many other banks that are upstanding and care about their customers. NOT TD BANK! You are forewarned!
