My twenty-three year old son loves Territory Ahead clothing and accessories. All the clothing has washed beautifully. There has been no problems with fading or shrinking. I wash in cold and dry medium or hang dry. The catalogs do show sale items, but sometimes more are seen on line. The online sight is user friendly. Some prices may seem high but you pay for quality of the clothing and unique designs. I receive frequent coupons and sale info online. My son is 6'5" and slim. The best part of shopping is an abundance of medium tall merchandise. Happy Shopping
Had to exchange an item that I bought as a gift. After about 2 weeks I called because I had received 0 communication from them about receiving the item I had returned. Spoke with someone in customer service who indicated that my return had been received. I asked about the exchange and was assured that I would receive the smaller size. She was to communicate with the team to keep a medium for me. 2 more weeks passed and still nothing. Today about the 5th week I receive an email indicating they had credited my account. Nothing was said about the exchange. No apology, no kiss our button, no extra discount code...nothing. I highly recommend no one shop with this very poor run company. I assure you I never will!

Nothing. Company sucks!
My wife purchased a sweater for me as a Christmas gift and accidentally ordered two. She didn't open the box for several weeks and realized her error. Because it was over 30 days the company refused to issue a refund or even an exchange.
Tip for consumers:
Don't purchase from this company

Two pair denim jeans ordered and received; same exact size, color, part number. I tried on one pair which fit as expected. The tag said wash before wearing, so I did. Put on a pair next day and it was much bigger than other pair. I measured waist which was three inches larger. Sewn in tag on both pair exactly the same. Territory ahead won't take back or replace... they say because they were washed, despite that's what the label said to do, plus the sewn in tag is obviously wrong. Jeans are defective due to wrong label. No more business. Stay away.

I ordered 3 shirts on September 6,2023. After waiting two weeks for delivery, I called customer service to find out the status of my order. They said they were changing their warehouse inventory control software and shipments were delayed. But, my order was ready and to be patient. I waited another 2 weeks without receiving my order. I called again only to receive the same story about the inventory control software and that one of my shirts had been shipped and the other two would be close behind. I did receive that shirt but still waiting on the other two. Today, I called again and was told that one of my shirts was no longer in stock and that I would receive a credit. The remaining shirt is in stock and would be shipped quite soon. I can't help but be very skeptical of that latest assurance. This will be my last order from Territory Ahead. I like their merchandise but this experience has really put me off.

Over a month and order still not filled. VERY disappointed with how my order was handled

This company has begun sending me their paper catalogue in the mail, which I never signed up for (had never even heard of them). When you add up all the resources consumed in production, delivery, and disposal of the catalogue, I can't imagine how they justify it all just for the (extremely) slim chance of making a sale that way. Nevermind the waste of my time. I would never do business with a company that operates that way.
For sale item incorrect descriptions and sizes. Refund is problem, no any support for this. Return cost take from buyer even problem not from him. Also, unreasonable prices, too high! Strong do not recommend.
RUN AWAY! I figured when I purchased a $300 sweater, it would be heirloom quality, something my grandkids would wear fondly. After 10 uses, the arm is falling off. Customer service was less than helpful. "We'd like to do something but can't." No, you mean "We won't." Look, if you're going to peddle your wares as high quality goods, then stand behind your product. What a scam. I'm warning everyone to stay away. In the meantime I'm praying the other $1000 worth of clothing I purchased last a little longer. Otherwise it's an expensive pile of garage rags. Maybe their market is the small demographic that can afford to wear something once and throw it away?
If you want high quality items from reputable people run away from these guys! Try Sherpa, Kuhl, Filson, Faherty. I've had much better success with the quality of their products.
I returned an item for refund. The item was confirmed to have been received by Territory Ahead on 4/4/2022. On 5/4/2022, having not received a refund, I called their customer service and was told the refund would be forthcoming. On 5/18/2022 I called customer service again and was told that due to a change in credit card processors refunds had been delayed but should be completed by end of May. On 6/7/22 I called again and was told that the refund would "hopefully" be done in June! On 7/21/22 I called AGAIN and got the same story! I have ordered from Territory Ahead occasionally for many years, but will not do business with them again!
One shirt (? 2lbs) costs 13.95 for shipping. (This is the cheapest offered) If you review their shipping policy/pricing you see that shipping is based on amount spent, not weight of package. If you purchase a $20 item, it will cost you 10.95 to have it shipped. Your item is actually 30.95
Many merchants offer free shipping over a certain dollar amount. TA increases your shipping, the more you spend.
Tip for consumers:
Consider shipping costs when purchasing.

I placed an order on February 22nd. The company charged my credit card two days later. It is now fifteen days since the order and it's still in the warehouse. No email from the company to update me on my order------it's up the customer to pursue that I guess. I cancelled my order today and was told it might take three weeks for my credit card to see the refund. Worst service from a company I've ever encountered.
Tip for consumers:
Don't purchase here

This company will list items for sale that that do not have and have no idea when they will have it. They will charge you for it without telling you if the items are in stock or not. When you ask for a refund, they stop all communication and never ship the items that you purchased. This company is under new management and they are now very poorly run. Don't waste your money dealing with this company. It is all talk and no action.
Tip for consumers:
Very poor customer service.

T shirts but they never delivered all of the items
I love the look of many of their products aand have purchased based on that. The pricing was high but looked like they weree a good quality item. When I received them, the construction of the clothing was poor. The sizes did not run true and the overall quality was JUNK.
For what they charge, you would expect a quality long lasting item. You will not get that from "The Territory Ahead"!
They also CHARGE the customer for the return!
Tip for consumers:
Go elsewhere. You can get better quality items for less money on other sites.

I returned all of the products due to poor quality.
Good luck getting a refund from them timely.
I placed an order 6/27 for 3 items. As always, they IMMEDIATELY charged my credit card. Guess waiting for shipping takes too long.
One of the 3 items was apparently backordered but I didn't find this out until I received the other 2. After calling them, no idea when backorder would arrive. Told them to cancel order.
So here we are over 2 weeks later and no credit. This wasn't a return, it was never shipped.
I had a similar issue with them years ago and quit buying from them. Decided to give them another try.
Sad part is that although priced pretty high, things I've purchased are good quality.
And by the way, does any other company increase the shipping charges the more you buy?
I'm done with this company for good.
I placed an order for over $650 and it's now two weeks later and they still haven't shipped it and can't tell me an approximation of when it will ship. They do acknowledge they have all the items it's not a question of a backorder, just they don't know when. Further, they are now running a promotion with free shipping. I placed my order a couple of days before the free shipping promotion started and they won't give me a refund for the shipping or even let me speak to a supervisor. Terrible company! My order is not shipped and I still have to pay for shipping on a $650.00 order, really?
After ordering a couple of times, I tried to stop Territory Ahead's catalogs from coming every few months. Catalogchoice.org couldn't hel. Emails and impassioned phone calls to customer service agents were wasted, even though some agents would expressly promise to pass along my request.
I take this as a sign that the customer's comfort level is not a priority with Territory Ahead. Looking at the bulk of the reviews, my guess is that the catalogs will stop coming when Territory Ahead goes out of business. The reviews show it's in trouble with its customers for many different reasons, so it seems unlikely to survive for much longer.
Tip for consumers:
Customer service agents are all friendly and supportive. They just don't seem to have any influence over the policies.

If I could I would give this company and their customer service supervisors a minus 10. Absolutely appalling shopping experience with appalling customer service to match. Do not waste your money on this company. We bought two tops in their sale, one grey one blue for an anniversary gift for my husband. He had wanted the blue one for quite some time so I was excited to get it for him. But they shipped the grey one and shoved some other random top in the bag to replace the blue one. When I tried to reorder the blue one they were then out of my husbands size. When I called customer service there was nothing they could do to compensate us except send us a return label! They were not willing to work with us and overnight another size to see if it worked (we were leaving the state so needed it in a hurry to give us chance to return it) and the customer service supervisor refused to speak to me. The grey top turned out to be nothing like the picture anyway, and given their disgraceful customer service over a mistake they made, and terrible fulfillment Dept, we decided to send the whole lot back. Don't waste your money with these people!
Tip for consumers:
This company is incapable of fulfilling your order correctly and they are not willing to try to rectify any mistakes they make. So if you get the wrong item don’t expect them to do any more than just send you a return label for it. The customer service representative was friendly and courteous, but he had zero autonomy to try to fix the mistake, and the person who could fix it refused to talk to me. I’ve never had customer service like it.

I foolishly purchased two pants from TA. They both fit too snuggly so I looked for the tags to verify the sizes... no tags on the clothing to verify - only on packing. They are "last sale" items so no return/exchange. Its been at least 10yr since I ordered from TA. I don't plan to make the mistake again

I can't believe they still charge shipping. I was going to order two items totaling $152 and they were going to charge $18 shipping. I didn't know anybody still charges shipping. No wonder they are closing stores and people wonder if they are still in business. I canceled my order.
The site asks for your email and cell phone for a 20% coupon or $15 off on orders over $75 on your first order. I never received the coupon or discount code, but they have my email and phone number. DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR EMAIL OR CELL PHONE NUMBER TO TERRITORY AHEAD. IT IS A SCAM!
There is no doubt the exorbitant prices this company demands are to cover the cost of the aggressive marketing. The catalogs seem very expensive to manufacture and they send a new one to your house every couple weeks. They spam your phone and email in a similar fashion. Yet their website doesn't function properly in Chrome, Safari or Firefox and you are unable to get account history/prior order information at all.
T shirts are $40+, bandanas $50 and cargo pants can cost up to $150. You would expect this means they are of decent quality, but once you receive the order you learn the workmanship isn't what it is marketed to be. Loose threads, dangling buttons, and thin, scratchy materials are used. The shipping costs are astronomical to the point of being humorous. I live in AZ and a couple shirts shipping from CA cost me more than shipping a care package to Australia.
I purchased a pair of $150 cargo pants and was disappointed in the heavy, uncomfortable and bulky material so I went through the return process. (They charge you if you are unsatisfied.) While the UPS tracking shows the pants were returned successfully last week, I have yet to obtain a refund. I can't even get into my account on their website because it wasn't created to work properly on any browsers I have tried. Now I am left sending emails to inquire when and how I will get my money back.
If you sign up for the discount, you will be spammed to death and sent all types of catalogs every week of really outrageously priced garbage from various companies that all have the same gimmick. BUYER BEWARE
Tip for consumers:
This company sells our information and you will be getting junk mail and spam for a long time.

I just spent a half hour with a representative trying to get a legitimate reason for them not to have issued me a credit after TA receiving my return on March 2nd (13 days). Naturally there were the same excuses I am hearing from other online retailers, "We have been getting a lot of returns lately and can't get them processed". BS is what I say to that, if they were honest they would state we handle returns as a very, very low priority. If they wanted to they could get a credit processed in a few days but they choose to make a customer wait weeks or sometimes months hoping they won't complain. I for one refuse to be treated with disrespect by a retailer this year to date I have spent over $600 with so to you TA I say Adios and I won't be doing business with you in the future and if I don't see a credit after 30 days I will turn you over to my CC company. It's interesting how they can charge you in a nano second before they even ship but when it comes to issuing a credit they just can't pull the trigger and get the job done like a professional. THE WORST!
Tip for consumers:
Don't use TA unless you are willing to wait in excess of 30 days or more to receive your refund and in the wait being told by some incompetent customer service rep that they don't know when I will ever see my credit. If you can't do the entire job properly than don't take peoples money which they do and bill your account before they even ship your order, a bunch of hacks.

Slacks and vest, all returned in perfect condition that has now been in their warehouse for 13 days and they stated they didn't know when they would get to my return. Funny that they fair to mention that when you place your order.
This used to be a very reputable company with products that you could not find elsewhere. Although they were pricey, the gear was generally well made and worth ordering online, paying for shipping, and waiting for delivery from wherever. All that has changed. The back ordered jacked I recently received after returning the first one for inaccurate sizing took 5 months to get. That is not my biggest complaint, however. TA is famous for creative copyrighting that makes the garments sound like lifestyle changers which are unlike anything you can find elsewhere. That may be but now it is a question of would you WANT to find them here or anywhere else. I purchased two shirts, a pull over summer shirt that was described as a sailor's dream shirt" or some such thing. It turned out to be a poorly cut tent like waffle shirt that looked like rag after one washing. I also purchased a button down oxford linen/ cotton blend shirt with a similar creative description. There are few words to accurately describe how this wrinkled mess looked after being worn for an hour and after washing? Pfft... also rag-like. Customer service mimes the "we're very sorry you had a bad experience " reply time after time. It wore thin. Now I toss the catalogs and wait for someone who really cares to see my postings and ask me to stop washing their dirty shirts in public. I'll die waiting. Good luck with TTL if you dare.
I ordered several items online. I expected all 3 items in one package but instead received 2. The order form showed that the missing item was on back order. I waited and then called about the status of the missing item. I was told it was to be shipped separately. I called few days later and received the same response. Finally called April 29 and was told it no longer is available. Last night I reciecved an email stating this too. Why wasn't I told in the beginning instead of being lied to? If this is how the employees do business I have to hesitate in doing further transactions with this company. This action or series of contradictory actions demonstrates a lack of integrity. I cannot trust such a company. I wanted to continue doing business but my trust has been broken. Too bad because I really like the products but at this point I have to refrain from buying online. I even wonder if an employee took that shirt from my order. Did that happen? Hope not but I'm sure you'd be thinking that possibility. That missing shirt was the reason why i ordered the other items. I placed an order online on Labor Day weekend. I STILL DO NOT have it and it STILL has NOT been fulfilled. I placed a second and a third order subsequently. Most of those orders have not been delivered either. Yet after multiple calls and emails, Zero, Nada, Nil, Nothing from them. NOONE in their customer service can give me an ANSWER as to why or offer any solutions. Secondly, the order summary will NOT open online no matter what device I use. Next, there is no online Chat except some antiquated system that is extremely confusing. Ive even emailed CS as suggested and indicated on their online page and NOTHING> LITERALLY no communication at all. They owe me a refund and I cant even get anyone to offer me that. Why? What is wrong with the company? Is the CEO or board inexperienced AND inefficient in retail? Are they going bankrupt? Do they NOT want to continue to thrive and succeed?. And PLEASE DO NOT GIVE ME THE SAME OLE EXCUSE THAT EVERYONE SEEMS TO STILL BE USING IN BUSINESS to make up for their inadequacies that its due to Covid 19 and the young workers in the economy. Either get it together and become the company you were 20 plus years ago or CLOSE DOWN and stop offering products and taking people's money without fulfilling orders. I mean SERIOUSLY "TERRITORY AHEAD SEEMS ABYSMAL". Maybe Territory Behind is more appropriate. FRUSTRATED CUSTOMER
Tip for consumers:
You SHOULD KNOW THAT YOU MAY OR MAY NOT GET YOUR PRODUCTS AND IF YOU DONT, YOU WILL GET ZERO HELP FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WILL WORK OVERTIME FINDING OUT WHAT HAPPENED to your order. I can't even imagine how difficult it would be to RETURN something.
