Dont plan a wedding without looking at the Knot website! I heard about the Knot back in 2001 when I was the best man for a friend and needed to research what my responsibilities were. Naturally when I got engaged in 2017 and needed to plan our wedding the Knot was the first place I turned to. I truly cannot say enough good things about the Knot website and services provided. They truly made planning far easier than trying to plan on our own. Using the Knot allowed us to have an amazingly unforgettable wedding!
1) Organized Truly one of the keys to having a successful & low stress weddings is ORGANIZATION! The Knot provides invaluable help with that. Once you open up and account on the Knot website you have access to a complete array of planning and vendor tools.
2) Checklist Brilliantly done! Based on the date you plan to have your wedding a tailorable checklist is created with common wedding planning items and when you should to start and complete the various tasks. You can add items not on the checklist or remove items you dont need in the checklist. As tasks are completed the site tracks what percentage of items are accomplished to give you a warm fuzzy about your planning progress. Also weekly email reminders were great to help keep us on track.
3) Couples Website The Knot also lets you create your own wedding website page where you can post your photos and information about the wedding. My wife and I had fun setting this up. We put the link in our invitations for people to access.
4) The Knot Venue Concierge One of the more time consuming things is scheduling vendor visits and tours. We went to 14 different wedding / reception venues in the Atlanta area and the Venue Concierge was invaluable. You actually get an actual person who schedules visits to wedding venues for you free of charge! Genius! Kelsey was our concierge and always kept us in the loop via email and text. She was fantastic! This saved us lots of time making phone calls.
5) Vendor Lists The Knot was a one-stop shop to find vendors in our area for everything from Cake Chefs to Limousine Service. The customer reviews for each vendor were also very helpful.
I would give the Knot website 6 stars if I could. No one should plan a wedding without them!
Several time later they have done things against the contract that has cost us business. And we were paying $30,000 a year.
It published our exact wedding day and time on google and there is NO way to take it down. DO NOT use this sight.
Erin Maguire is NOT affiliated with A Touch of Vermont Florist as of April 2020. Any Complaints made by her is irrelevant and we can not fix anything. Thanks
- Staff at A Touch of Vermont Florist
Concerning the 12 month negative contract, what is the best was to handle the people doing collections?
We had a fabulous event at RrdTail for our nieces baby shower
Staff was so attentive and food was tasty
Do not use this site, scammers galore
They do not know thier vendors, scammers congregate here due to the ease.
I enjoy reading all the articles from this site, if I will have my wedding I will certainly follow some advice from here.
The fake company, they publishing your website without your consent. The worse company in the entire wedding platforms.
Do not post reviews on this website. They will change your negative review to positive. Such a disappointment...!
They actually rated my business as the best cakes of 2010 and 2011. So for this reason i give them a perfect score :)
Nothing but horrible experiences, poor communication, and broken promises! Save yourself some heartache
Terrible company to be a vendor on. They lie, cheat & steal your money. The staff are all horrible and dishonest people. Market yourself. RUN!

Fake, spam leads, just like all of the other reviews here.
They must be lying about their monthly visitors.
They're stealing from small businesses.
The knots website is great. Easy to use, many options, great tools, and tons of information. But their calendar events are wrong and their customer service is horrendous.
Currently when a calendar event is downloaded for an event on the Knot it gets set in CST not in your local time zone. We are a week out from our wedding and I just noticed this so all of our guests have a digital (luckily we sent emails outside of the knot and physical invitations) calendar event for our wedding that is an hour after it starts! When I addressed this with their customer service I was told our computers are wrong (myself, 2 of my groomsmen, and the mother of the bride all tested this and the time is wrong). When I tried to reason with the customer service team they told me I was being rude, that they were right and I was wrong and that I need to learn how to "Set my time on my computer". As they are saying that I am looking at my clock on my PC set to EST which is my local time zone. They finally escalated my request but told me it wouldn't be looked at until after my wedding because I "wouldn't accept that I was setting up my computer wrong" (apparently the other 3 people were too), so absolutely useless.
Bottom line. If you want a good place to build a website and have a landing page for your guest, the Knot is #1. But if you are outside of CST DO NOT utilize their calendar events, send emails, texts, and physical copies of your event times so your guests know. Also if you call their customer service be prepared to be told you are wrong even if you did nothing wrong.
Also a side note, if you use the honeymoon fund registry. They charge a 2.5% fee for every deposit that is incurred to your guest. Its not obvious but its there...
The Knot outsources the booking of accommodations. You don't get the group rate, and stay can't be refunded.
Hi Eline, I'm so sorry for any confusion. Yes, that is correct. The Knot does not offer any reservation services directly, but we do partner with a company called HotelPlanner to offer reservation services. You can reach out to the HotelPlanner support team directly for assistance with your reservation via the contact information below:
https://www.hotelplanner.com/ContactUs.htm
They should be able to assist you with group rates and refunds. I do apologize again for any confusion. I do hope that you are able to get this resolved with Hotel Planner.
My fiance and I are using the wedding website offered on theknot.com to collect RSVPs from our guests and to provide them with additional information regarding the wedding. IT'S BEEN A NIGHTMARE! We have had multiple guests contact us and his mother asking about the DATE of our wedding because the date on the invitation and the date on the website don't match. The ONE thing that should be reliable on the website is the WEDDING DATE! Some how, the date keeps changing and although it says having a date listed is optional, it is not. Our wedding date is Sept. 15, but according to TheKnot.com our wedding date has been listed as 9/11,9/12,9/13, and 9/14. WHYYY?!?!? We have had to log in and manually change the date back to the correct date daily for the last few weeks, sometimes MULTIPLE TIMES in one day! This is incredibly inconvenient for ourselves and our guests! My fiance has tried to contact theknot multiple times and NOBODY has gotten back to us! If you're not going to fix the issue, at least give us the option to have the wedding date hidden. Save yourself the headache and use a different website provider.
The Knot if you have issues they hide in their office and or work from home and if they do reply send you short emails without resolving any issues. There is no phone number or anyone in higher position to speak with. They have no skills in going over and troubleshooting issues. The CEO Timothy Chi is another one who hides from the public never replies to any of his emails. This company will fall it's just a matter of time they don't know what customer service is and they are not helping couples get the best vendors and they are not helping vendors book gigs. Brides need to get connected directly with their vendors and the same with vendors and their brides.
Attention business owners avoid subscription lead services they also go under The Knot, Weddingpro, WeddingWire, The Bash, Bodas, Hitched, howtheyasked, the nest thebump and Lasting. They charge between $300.00 to $9,000 a year for a subscription storefront ad which connects you to fake and or with clients looking for the cheapest prices in town. Few years ago WeddingWire posted on their website the average price for Wedding DJ across the United States is $750.00 they did not care if the entertainment market was destroyed. The main concern of the sales department was to book as many vendors as possible. WeddingWire, The Bash and WeddingPro were all sold by their original owners and purchased by The Knot who took control by buying up the others who were their competition. This made other vendors lower their prices even more so they would book the gig at super low price. $400.00 for Wedding DJ with three setups and uplighting was not the way any vendor could make any profit. Be smart create your own website learn to market yourself learn about SEO and how to give yourself more exposure to Brides and other client's events. There is no need for booking agents and lead services anymore they don't work and never did work. This company merged with others and if you did not do well on one site you would go to another of their sites and give them more money not knowing you were with the same company. Don't be fooled be smart put more money in your pocket and get better high paying clients on your own.

Who can i speak to about neg reviews too at he knot please or how do i go about and fix these issues i nno nothing about
Answer: My honest opinion... do not use theknot.com for your wedding. It crashes often and can be extremely frustrating. Believe me... I used it and was locked into using it because it was on all of my invitations. My best advice: use weddingwire.com. But, if you're not going to listen to my advice or are locked in and stuck as I was, go to your wedding website (not in preview mode) and click on guest list from the dashboard... well... After 9 attempts, TK will not load properly so that I can step you through it (everything else on my computer works great). Sorry, that's all I have for you. I hate theknot.com!
Answer: Tell them the same thing they say to you when you contact them for help in any way! "I don't think it is in our best interest! You are on your own... Good luck with that!"
The Knot has a rating of 1.7 stars from 390 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with The Knot most frequently mention customer service, credit card and wedding wire. The Knot ranks 79th among Wedding Planning sites.
