We decided to use TheKnot after friends of my fiance used it last year and to save money on wedding invitations. I wish we had just spent the money and sent invitations! I also wish I had read reviews prior to using this site. Setting up the website was okay, however we sent the RSVP's and many people did not get the invite despite sending them twice. Those who did get it the link provided in the email did not work. Now, I just get a message from a guest that the location is not on the site. I had the location on the site and now suddenly it just DISAPPEARED out of nowhere... 25 days before our wedding! Ridiculous!
I was a vendor with weddingwire for 8 years. Weddingwire had excellent customer service, easy platform to communicate and send pdfs. I ttued the knot for 1 year and didnt like the customer service (no one picks up the phone or responds to emails)A few years ago weddingwire was absorbed by the knot and the quality of service has been horrible. No one responds to emails or answers the phone or calls back as promised. It a nightmare responding to potential clients. You can no longer attach pdfs. They claim its a "glitch" a glitch that has lasted since they joined forces. It is no longer an easy, helpful resource it once was. I can't even get anyone on the phone or email to cancel advertising. My credit card is in disputes with them but has not received a response. Don't get yourself entangled with this company uts frustrating, time consuming and costly.
My son swore by the vendors listed on The Knot Website and the Photographer took off with his pictures and the money and The Knot would not help me contact them. The Knot had to know who advertised with them but would not contact them for me or let me know how to contact them. So sad. This was August 31,2014 and it's still such a sore subject because my daughter in law is still so upset. If The Knot would like to help even at this late date I would be thrilled if they contact me about the scumbags that worked at Wedding Photo Connection in Fairfield, NJ The Knot recommended them. They also had a Rutherford, NJ office. If anyone knows anyone that worked there please contact me. We lost over $2,500. And wish we had the pictures... They used to go by the name Photo Video Network but pulled some scams & closed that business. *******@comcast.net
I purchased items from this store for CHRISTMAS presents, the 2nd of December. I was told 5-7 days processing then your item will ship. Well 2 weeks later I call them to find my delivery date and I am told my items will not make it here until AFTER the 1st of the year! Are you kidding me? They told me there was no way to get them by Christmas due to the amount of orders they received. NOT my problem! I am so upset!
This website will allow other competing vendors to write a negative review of websites or companies using this website. Then when challenged it will not remove negative review placed by competing vendors. Will allow non-users of theknot to write reviews not connected to any vendor on its site. Competing vendors can say anything they wish, and The Knot will not take it down.
This is the Worst site ever to order from, i ordered a pair of long stem champagne flutes personalized for my wedding it took almost a month to be delivered and when i got them they were broken and of very bad quality, and on top of that when i tried to call them back to tell them about my flutes no one is there on the weekend. I do not recommend them to anyone, they are the worst, they didn't even ship with UPS or anything they used The regular Postal service yet they charge an arm and a leg for Delivery.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I for sure would! I absolutely LOVE this site so much! It helps me keep track of everything I need to get done for my wedding, as well as helps me keep track of my budget. I love being able to have a wedding website as well so that my guests can keep track of my registry, accommodations, etc.
This site also allows our guests that we don't see very often see some information on us that helps them get to know us even better (our backstory, proposal, etc). I recommend anyone getting married to have a website through theknot.com and utilize its abilities, it takes away so much stress!
We had a terrible experience with a vender our son found on The Knot and need to warn other couples. The Knot has removed all negative reviews. But really, they get paid from vendors to advertise on their site. Of the venders get bad reviews, they won't get business. If they don't get business, they won't advertise on The Knot and not renew their contract. And then The Knot looses money. Sounds like dirty business to me and not trust worthy. After the all mighty $$ and not helping couples paying for assistant. Because of this, our "Happily Ever After" was a total fiasco and the wedding every little girl dreams of will NEVER happen.
I love TheKnot.com! It is such a great wedding planning site. So this book is just a great addition to anyone planning a wedding using the website. This book is amazing, because it has every checklist from the website written down into one handy, portable book. There is even space on the sides of each page to make little notes.
I really hared it, took my wedding website down. Ugh the spam from vendors. I even had a dj who wouldnt leave me alone to the point of stalking. Also couldn't link my registrys and my guests couldn't RSVP or get on the email updates list.
Answer: My honest opinion... do not use theknot.com for your wedding. It crashes often and can be extremely frustrating. Believe me... I used it and was locked into using it because it was on all of my invitations. My best advice: use weddingwire.com. But, if you're not going to listen to my advice or are locked in and stuck as I was, go to your wedding website (not in preview mode) and click on guest list from the dashboard... well... After 9 attempts, TK will not load properly so that I can step you through it (everything else on my computer works great). Sorry, that's all I have for you. I hate theknot.com!
Answer: Tell them the same thing they say to you when you contact them for help in any way! "I don't think it is in our best interest! You are on your own... Good luck with that!"
