“Great dating site if you're looking to hook up with...”

Jay M.
4/29/14

Great dating site if you're looking to hook up with someone who lives near you, but the possibility of running into someone after a really bad date is just too high. Love the video introducing the app though.

“They banned my account for no reason”

Apple love B.
9/1/24

They took £58.99 to ugrade my profile to Tinder Plus and then they immediately blocked me. Wouldn't explain why I was blocked after five requests and when I asked for a refund, pointed me at Apple, who of course said it was none of their business. In my opinion this is tantamount to theft. Scammers. Avoid them.

These jerks permanently banned me today because some jerk intentionally swiped right on me to harass me and insult me, called me names and had nothing absolutely nothing good to say to me. My responses had to do with the fact that I must have shot him down for him to have so much anger and I was only doing to him what he was doing to me. So Tinder people decide you banned me permanently. If it wasn't for the females in this world you wouldn't have a popular app at all. It is females like me that make you popular. Tinder also states that they worry about the safety of their members. Where were they during all the times that I needed intervening. Ridiculous app and filled with glitches and bugs. Just use Bumble which I heard was created by a former Tinder creator.

I also can't believe the power they have to pull this BS but yet the same people constantly install delete in repeat. For those of you that don't know what that is that means there are certain idiots that create an account delete it and then recreate it so then you have to swipe left on them multiple times to get rid of them in some of these idiots do this daily. They can block my IP but they can't block theirs how amazing.

They also allow children to be posted which I think is completely inappropriate for a dating / hookup website. Shame on you people

If you want to be scammed use this site. All profiles are fake. You match with a ton of people but all are either fake or they are there to scam you and get your information and money.

There are a lot of scam artists on here!
A lot of guys who appear to be nice and say nice things. The first clue is they love too fast and then they say they want to get to spend the rest of their lives with you when they only knew you only for one day these are a bunch of scam artists that come from Nigeria and Africa please ladies don't fall for this get off of that website quickly. They will start to ask you for your address and then they start to ask you for more personal information. When you ask to speak to them or see them they always seem to have some excuse that they're over in another country and they can't do it because they have bad service or pretend like they're Skype or Hangouts. They take pictures of another person's identity and make you believe that that is them do not fall for this ladies do not do it. They will pretend that they want to get to know you and they want to know your family. They are good ladies but they are not that good because I caught their $#*! each and every time.

Getting scammed on Tinder was a frustrating and eye-opening experience. Initially, I was excited about the prospect of meeting new people and potentially finding a genuine connection. However, I encountered a scammer who posed as someone they weren't. Their charming persona quickly won me over, but red flags appeared when they asked for money under various pretenses. I reluctantly sent funds, only to realize I had fallen victim to a romance scam.
I've gotten my money back and that was the only way I could go about it. I got help from (I USED THEIR WEBSITE URL AS MY DISPLAY NAME ON THIS REVIEW INCASE YOU NEED HELP AND WANT TO REACH OUT TO THEM).

Note: I did this because of the strict policy over here and honestly i just want to help as many people as possible to get their money back.

I take the time to cycle through all the possible matches, saying yes or no. The app eventually serves up all those people where I have already selected no. I contacted Tinder and they said sometimes people create new profiles. While I can see that might happen occasionally, I'm talking about hundreds of profiles. If hundreds of people are creating new/duplicate profiles, Tinder has terrible controls over screening out fake profiles. If they are not new accounts (as I suspect), then Tinder might be intentionally dumping the "no" profiles back in the mix. Since they insert ads into the profile review process, they have a financial incentive to keep you going through the same profiles repeatedly to generate more ad views. I do not pay for Tinder Gold, so I can't see who liked me unless I matched them. I repeatedly get annoying push notices to my phone prompting me to log in and see who likes me. There does not seem to be any setting to turn off these notices. Once again, just a tactic to get users to unnecessarily go back into the app to generate more ad views.

I have met a couple nice people on this app, but most appear to be fake profiles. Also, the relentless attempts to force users to plow through unnecessary page views will likely cause me to cancel the subscription at some point. Tinder needs more controls over bots and fakes and also needs to correct the problem where previously rejected profiles are continually re-presented after some period of time (the app "forgets" my previous choices).

Tinder Staff - Does this somehow reset if a user travels some set distance from where the match/decision was originally made and then returns home? You guys need to figure this out. Tech support keeps saying it's not a problem. Stop dismissing the feedback and correct the problem.

So... I decided I'd try out Tinder. I heard of it for years never tried it. I have to say so far I'm not real impressed with it in fact I'm not impressed at all. I believe it's full of scammers and catfish. I don't see them doing anything about it. They also will bill the crap out of you ( do not touch that blue lightning bolt they charge you 7 or 8 bucks every time there is no free boost). I am a gold member I always do that when I'm checking out a dating or hook up site. I am not a bad looking guy I have swiped hundreds of females from all over Texas right. Only 4 have matched me. I'm pretty sure one of them is a catfish. (I'm trying to figure out her or it's game.) so yeah unfortunately tinder is a scam. An expensive scam too it less then a week it's cost me about 70 bucks. The boost does nothing. Two of them said I had matches but nope no one was there. Tinder is definitely a scam. Also you have all these Snapchat subscription women. Pay twenty five bucks and see them masturbating. I'm not going to do that I mean it does nothing for me personally I'm the hands on type. Also you have many actual prostitutes. They give you their snap chat when look them up you get a price list for their rates. Some of them are very beautiful if your into paying for sex. You are not going to be able to reach them easily. They've deliberately made it very hard to get in touch with them if you do they are not going to help you in anyway. I am very surprised Apple allows them to use Apple Pay. I'm surprised PayPal allows them to use their services. As I said earlier I have no problem getting women in real life. I am far from ugly and I am financially independent. I have a total of four matches after about one week. Save your money. If you want to date use " Match" Tinder is a scam. It's not the worst I've reviewed but it definitely does not deliver what it claims.

I changed my bio to "looking to love, not loving to look" (maybe a bit corny but completely innocent) with my ig preceding it and added a pic of me with a fresh haircut on my 21st birthday and I got banned immediately after attempting to do so. Haven't done anything that violates their TOS as I am always as respectful as possible when speaking with matches and am careful with what I add to my profile. I contacted Tinder support and they were essentially useless saying "please understand if your account has been banned for violating TOS" and upon sending a follow up explaining that I hadn't violated TOS they said "we cannot disclose any further information about the ban." They were quite obviously pre written messages they were instructed to send out as it didn't address my messages directly and I have seen others online that have gotten the same messages upon receiving bans for nothing, so do not expect anything from their customer service. Use Hinge or Bumble or go outside and meet people, this is not an app you want to use.

Do not pay the $30 for a membership! I paid and half the features did not work and had issues. When reporting them to Tinder they said they would escalate the issue to IT. Then after 3 weeks and 7 emails they still have not fixed or responded again. I can't access all my likes, it won't let you upload photos without their "prepicked captions" on it and it tells you that you have a match but every time you go in to see who there is nothing there. Now they started sending notifications for sales items and you cannot turn it off without turning off all notifications. But the worst is paying so much money and they ignore you and don't bother to fix the issues. $30 is a crazy big cost to pay for a app but one that does not work? Worthless. I don't recomend paying for it. If you want to use Tinder use the free version. Then you get the same services as the paid one without wasting $30. Now their email does not work and since they dont have a phone number so you have no way to get ahold of them and they do not refund your money.
Hope this saves someone time, hassle, and money!

Tip for consumers:
No way to contact the company so there is no way to fix issues and you wasted your money for nothing.

Tinder is Attempting to STEAL my money from my bank account by SCAMMING me! I've Already REPORTED this app to the FBI and many other local+federal police agencies. This app is a SCAM because this is app Attempting to STEAL my money. This app is also Providing Refuge to Radicalised Extremist terrorists and foreign spies. This app is using its Good and Premium features to SCAM and STEAL my Money.
