“Great dating site if you're looking to hook up with...”

Jay M.

Great dating site if you're looking to hook up with someone who lives near you, but the possibility of running into someone after a really bad date is just too high. Love the video introducing the app though.

“They banned my account for no reason”

Apple love B.
9/1/24

They took £58.99 to ugrade my profile to Tinder Plus and then they immediately blocked me. Wouldn't explain why I was blocked after five requests and when I asked for a refund, pointed me at Apple, who of course said it was none of their business. In my opinion this is tantamount to theft. Scammers. Avoid them.

Ladies, be careful, meet many scammers on site. Normally is the Nigerian targeting Asian ladies. They used other people photo to scam. Dont give your personal photo or information to them.

Tinder is just a bit meh for me. Prefer some of the fresher sites (wejustfit.com comes to mind) & like to try sites with new people instead of seeing the same faces in my area.

I find it much better to use Tinder. With over 50 million downloads, it is currently the largest and most popular dating app online. It is best known for its immensely common feature for swiping.

I am hansome guy and have been using this app for months but have only 2 replies. This is absolutelly waist of time for guys. Dont even dowload the app. I think that we are giving too much attention to women and they all think they are princeses and waiting for a princ that never come. So delusional. Buy, buy useless tinder.

I had Tinder for a while. As soon as I added some stuff about being a Military Veteran they BANNED ME AND REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REASON WHY. I emailed support multiple times and they refuse to give me anything other than a generic "you violated our terms." Such BS! I have not idea why. Anybody else? Email me, let's start a class action against them for keeping out information and banning our accounts!

It's a faulty app now. I attempted to verify my account and they simply made up dome internal undisclosed reason to ban me. And this happens to plenty of people. They just don't care.

Tip for consumers:
Faulty app

The site is a joke. You get banned for no reason. I must be too legit for the app, because word of mouth has it that only scammers, prostitutes and robots lurk the app.

They change guidelines and expectations. You cannot see when someone matched with you. It is a complete bullsh** app. Use bumble, hinge, even match. No I'm not paid for this

This website aint quite what you be expectin. All the talk of it being the top dog in the world of online datin and yet im feeling a little bit like a stray runnin around lookin for love but endin up with my tail between my legs. Will try one of the other big name sites instead like wejustfit.com or tinder. See where that gets me!

I had a hideous experience with Tinder. I recently found out that I was being charged $9.99 per month for the last 3 years, after completely deleting my account in 2016. There weren't any notifications about the additional subscription fee tacked on after deleting the account (I never signed up for premium in the first place) and in 2016, the online "app" terms of service language was less than sufficient during the time of download. Tinder has been draining money from my account without any communication. Attempting to get refunded has been an exhausting, pointless process with no end. After contacting both my bank, the Apple Store and Tinder (who all told me I had to contact the other companies involved), I've been left with no other options.

Word of advice, try a different dating app if you're interested in exploring one. There are plenty of other options with better customer service and more ethical business practices. Also, if you have used it - you might want to check your subscriptions on your device (even if you've never subscribed to anything).

I canceled my account months ago and they just keep billing me 29.99 a month. There is no contact info and no way to stop it. Don't make the same mistake I did avoid Tender altogether.

I had just made my account and it was immediately banned. I've never been on a dating app/website before, I'm almost 19 and they had no reason to ban my account. I contacted their customer service to ask what the reason was and they emailed me saying, "Your account has been banned for violations of our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines, which we take very seriously. We are unable to provide further assistance, and so we may not respond to additional requests about this case." What case? I literally didn't do anything. I made an account and was immediately banned for no reason. I read through the Terms of Use AND the Community Guidelines and I hadn't done anything wrong. I'm of age, I answered all of the entry questions honestly and they blew me off. This just made me mad. I didn't do anything wrong. I was banned the second I made an account. And I can't just start over and make another account because the banned account was linked to my phone number, email, and I even tried my FB account and it didn't work.

Tip for consumers:
I did my best to be respectful when talking to customer service, but they weren't helpful in the slightest. It took me five minutes to read both the Community Guidelines and the Terms of Service and I hadn't violated anything on either documents. They basically said, "We're banning your account just because we want to. No valid reason, just felt like it." They said in the emails that there was a violation, but couldn't listen the violation made. This was my first account.

I was on this site for less than two days, and I have been propositioned and abused. I have a completely reasonable picture without any suggestion or nudity, and my profile is quite vague in detail as I was just checking the site out. Needless to say this is the worst dating site that I have ever used! I have been hit on my numerous men from Southeast Asia which is a world away and most of the profiles that I encounter are only shared with friends, so you don't get much information, and are lacking any pictures. Also, any profiles in my locality were few and far between. My picture also happened to be featured on the page of people newly registered members on the site next to a girl who displayed a picture of nothing but her lower extremities, completely nude, from the rear view. If I was looking for these certain kind of "encounters" I would certainly put my picture on "Eros, Backpage, Craiglist," or whatever medium girls use these days to advertise themselves. I really think that this is the NEW medium, so be warned if you are looking for something other than abusive language, casual encounters, or a short term paid affair, you might want to seek alternative websites.

Im a big fan of this site and have been using it for years! You name it I've done it, bad dates, no shows, great dates, fallen in love, bailed on weirdos, everything! The only other site that Ive found that can compete is wejustfit.com but between these two Ive had some really great experiences (focusing on the positives here!) and met some really nice guys. You could do far worse and with the amount of marriages and successes (everyone knows a friend who uses this site!) and also the money they put into their ads you know from the start that you're onto a winner. Dont get your hopes too high at the beginning, it took me a while to get out on dates and then it took me a couple of dates before i had one i would class as perfect but stick with it and try to have fun, as its better to see it as a fun and sociable thing rather than your only hope at finding true love! Keep the pressure off and the fun going and let things happen naturally. As my mother always said, if its meant to be then itll happen.

I came to buy a membership, and even though I'm a techie, when I tried to add a description to my profile I discovered their help section id useless and there is absolutely no way to contact Tinder about anything, I spent over an hour trying to figure out how to add copy, to no avail and I'v been on internet date sites since the mid 1990's, so now I'm giving up and looking for a site that's user friendly, as I came here for a good time, not for non-stop total aggravation!

Very frustrating that tinder isn't capable of understanding settings! If I set it to 30mi I don't want to waste time on people 70-112 mi away! Seriously, what is the point of setting

If Tinder is known for being more of a hook up site then dating then why do so many women's profiles state "Not looking for a hookup" or "No FWB"?
Are they really looking to hook up but put that in their profile in case they are seen by someone they know they won't look like ho?
Seriously, if they aren't looking to hook up then get off the site and go to Match, POF or some other dating site if you are looking for something else!
It seriously makes me want to date and hook up with some of these liberal leaning women just so I can laugh in the morning and say KAGA2020!

After using Tinder's boost feature(s)' I've recently tried something new Tinder calls super boost' (i. E. 10 times more views and 6 times duration compared to a regular boost'). The times I tried this in-app purchase, it was always around the same time, same day, on a Tinder recommended time. Regular boost' gave me around 20-30 likes in 30 minutes for a price of ~4,-. The super boost' lasted for 3 hours, with Tinder claiming x100 more views, giving me 28 likes with the same profile as before. I am certainly familiar with deviations in certain features, but this time i most definetely call scam on Tinder. Advertising something which does exactly the same, for 8 (!) times the price. After contacting Apple they recommended me to contact Tinder (2 times in a row), the only answers i got was to contact Apple and (more or less) that they don't want anything to do with this, not their responsibility. Would most definitely advise against any in-app purchases from this sad excuse for a company!

Besides the tons of fake profiles, what's with the very few responses I get for plain PROSTITUTES and girls looking for SUGAR DADDIES?
Tinder is the biggest scam. 3 months after Tinder Gold and $200 in Super Likes, not ONE single real date. Tinder is infested with catfish, I even believe ghost writers working for Tinder replying a few times and then dissapearong into thin air, and very few real women there.
A friend only got a date with a real psycho woman after 4 months on Tinder and that was it, he closed his account after Tinder making it next to impossible to close his account and avoid keep being charged.

The app is ok, but beware of the fact that there are users that use this app to possibly lure others for their own benefits. I received similar messages from different users.
