Great dating site if you're looking to hook up with someone who lives near you, but the possibility of running into someone after a really bad date is just too high. Love the video introducing the app though.
They took £58.99 to ugrade my profile to Tinder Plus and then they immediately blocked me. Wouldn't explain why I was blocked after five requests and when I asked for a refund, pointed me at Apple, who of course said it was none of their business. In my opinion this is tantamount to theft. Scammers. Avoid them.
I know this sounds weird... but this has been a waste of time for me... Offline works much faster if you know what i mean
I like the site. I'd like to let people know that sometimes you'll get rejected tho that's ok. You'll learn
Scam. Do not use tinder they stole my money and banned me. Do not pay for this app it's worse than Bernie madoff
It could use a bit of optimisation, it crashes often. Probably should find a way to encourage conversation as well as people rarely talk.
Banned account for absolutely nothing barely used the app it already only had whales horrible app dont use it
The idea of tinder is basically a game of "would bang?" based on looks. Many users don't have a bio and it's easy to get into a mindless groove of left-swiping.
It gets worse.
They added in-app ads that came up as "profiles" every so often. I got to swipe Jason Derulo and his new song left.
Maybe it's my location, whatever, but I'm pretty sure I've swiped through everyone in my city. I started to get weird out-of-state profiles, or someone who was 300 miles away but "swiping in your city!"
Also.
SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAMMY PROFILES EVERYWHERE. 90% of my 10 matches were "hi Ian, I'm looking for local singles to have crazy sex with something something spam spam spam oh here's a URL." Or girls who were obviously "too good to be true" would have a few nice pictures but either the last picture or their whole bio was only their Instagram or snapchat handles. SPAM SPAM EVERYWHERE.
**ProTip: sneaky spam sometimes disguises itself with an intro along the lines of "I'm new to tinder and not really sure what to expect." Or it'll say "message me on here" which isn't an option unless you're swiped right too (which you won't be).
I have been using this app for years and met a lot of people off this app. Not sure why it doesn't have a better rating.
Petition for queer people to be able to filter out straight people all together regardless of their gender
Double charged me and cancelled my subscription the same day. Won't give me my money back and customer service is a joke.
Wouldn`t call this thing cool neither bad. Many strange people, some guys looking just for a hookup. A small time-killer for me.
I found the love of my life and i couldn't have been happier <3 he definitely showed me a lot in my time on there deleted the app because of him.
Tinder is a good option, simple and good fun. Also try wejustfit that's where I started and I still use it.
I find nice people who are interesting to talk to. I enjoy making new friends here. Thanks to the developers.
Tinder takes money of my account without. Me authority I need my money back this is fraud the company doesn't even allow where I get my money back
I thought this would be easier but my nerves always get the best of me. These type of blind dates didnt work for me. The app did work fine though.
Poor choice of free membership and almost no women in my area. Feels so frustrated. Its always shows people from other cities
Mobile phones company a transaction worth intend to give compensation for your assistance. Kind Regards, MR. Robert van paco.
They will continue to take money long after cancelling your subscription, steer clear of this scam site.
Poor experience. Nothing (nobody) worthy can be found here. It's not even worth a minute of your time.
There are a few weird people that use this website, but for the most part its pretty decent. I might be exploring other options.
Tip for consumers:
Don't buy tinder gold in my opinion
Products used:
The free version, not Tinder gold
I used it for one time and then my photo was on porn site. Nice third-party connections! You lost me
Met my other half on Tinder in California of all places. Really easy to use website and so happy i came across it. Nice one.
Having said that, it might be worth at least trying for a week or so, for free. I had no issues installing the app and using it (it's very easy to do, and I'm not a techie sort; and my profile was never randomly deleted, as some often complain about ~ I used it for a couple weeks for free). You do get some matches here and there, but you can't see who they are unless it's a double/mutual match. But, on the downside, to be honest it's probably over about 50% filled with (assuming they're all real users and not bots or spam or hijacked profiles of some sort) vapid 18-yr old to -late 20 something-yr old girls. Many of whom (at the moment at least; ie, June of '21) are still posting their main profile pictures wearing a surgical mask, and/or stating their vaccination status (ok, kind of understandable, that...) at the very outset of their profile. Followed by something like: "HMU on IG... or SC", etc. In short, if you're over, say, your mid to later-30's or so, or you're just not into all these app-types of things and social media in general (beyond perhaps having a FB page) you may not feel like you have all that much in common with many of these people using this app.
Verdict, for me = for free, it was -- almost-- fun (and sometimes even borderline hilarious) to scroll through and 'swipe right' on some people just to see if by random chance they might mutually 'like' you. But don't pay for it. And yes the very concept of simply discarding the entire person immediately ("swiping left") based simply on one or two profile pics alone, is incredibly superficial and shallow. But, wading in these kinds of waters (it's Tinder), with these --many of them at least-- airhead type millennials or Gen Z'ers, what do you really expect?
I decided to give Tinder a try after hearing good reviews but so far it hasn't been a good experience. Unlike most dating sites, this one is basically all about looks. You do not get any information on their personality or hobbies. For me, I like to know about a guy's religion, political stance, hobbies, expectations, what they're looking for, etc. I would like to understand a little bit about someone before wasting my time talking to a guy who doesn't have the same intentions as me.
I also realized that a lot of guys swipe right to every girl just to increase their chances of getting matches. This can be frustrating because when you message them, they do not reply. Being on the site, I've gotten about 10 or 11 matches. Only one guy messaged me first and when I replied back, he never responded. The rest of the time, I was the one putting in all the effort sending messages first and I didn't get any responses. I try to be open to most guys I see. I prefer slim or fit guys, but even then, I swiped right to men who were overweight. There was one incident where I messaged a guy who was a little big and after I sent the message, he unmatched me. (Unmatching happens a lot.)
I just found it laughable how guys who weren't the best looking would unmatch me or block me if they did not think I was worthy of talking to them.
Don't expect to get many matches unless you're a blond, blue eyed model. That goes for men and women. People are a lot more picky on Tinder. Even ugly people expect you to look good.
I also hate how Tinder makes you use Facebook to make an account. Not everyone uses Facebook so those people are at a huge disadvantage.
I will either find a new site or give up on online dating.
An andre blephin thought be had but didnt. Have a profile of white bearded guy and says he is a widower. Smh
With 20 billion matches to date, Tinder is the world? ۪s most popular app for meeting new people.
