I am simply wanting to exchange a product that I ordered. Prices are the same, sent back a new unopened package. I have no idea what the deal is.

I got on a amazing deal on a tool I needed for my shop. Best price anywhere. I called to ask about my order and Pam who is a great customer service person on the phone, told me about some other tools that I might like and she was right. She is great to talk to and knows her stuff well. This is why I placed another order. I made to feel important. Thank you Tool Planet for being one cool place to do business with. I ordered a metric set of sockets. I screwed up and meant to order standard. I called about 4 times throughout the week. Finally a guy named Tom answered, He said to call Pam and she would get me an RA number. From that point on, no one would ever answer the phone, return emails, even a certified letter. This is all over roughly $60.00 BTW.
I tried to order a magnifying glass and clips combination for 5.99 which they initially said was in stock. After repeated delays I canceled the order. A few weeks after that, two charges showed up on my visa bill for about $340.00 each. The amounts weren't exactly equal, but close. The charging company was apparently based in Nairobi Kenya. I immediately called Capital One to dispute the charge and discovered that the number used was a virtual number I created specifically and only to be used on the ToolPlanet website. Either the site has been compromised or it is a front for a fraud operation. Use with caution.
I ordered and received a 4-jaw chuck for my lathe, but it arrived without the two steel rods used to tighten and loosen the chuck. I notified the company, and they inquired whether the packaging was damaged. I told them that it was not, and asked that they send me the missing parts. After waiting several days for a reply, I called them. Their response (by Pam K.) was that she would "check Home Depot on her way home." That was the last I heard from them despite sending several more e-mails asking that they ship me the missing parts. (They had asked me to return the chuck, but I had already scratched it after putting it on my lathe. Making it unsalable.)

I purchased cam clamps for my cnc and i have been waiting a month. No answer every time I call. Its straight to voice mail and i leave a detailed message with my email and phone number and i dont get either and i call every day! This is very very poor business i could have ordered from Amazon and know i would get them. I chose to use these guys for a few bucks. NEVER EVER AGAIN! EVER!
Poor service, order placed on 30th, i called up emailed up no response, called again on 6th july, A lady picked up and told " your order may get dispatched after 15days" the person working there is not sure when it will get dispatched... i seriously doubt if i will receive.
If i would have ordered on amazon then i would have got it by now...

Pam of Toolplanet went above and beyond in the customer service department. I ordered 3 high quality augers and one of them would not be in stock for several months, so she made a substitution telling me that if I wasn't satisfied with it, I could get back in touch and she would make good. I got them, tried them out and the substitution, while a good auger wasn't as good as the other two high-end ones. She said I could keep the one and she put in a back-order for the other. When I found one in stock from another supplier, she canceled the back-order and gave me a store credit.
All in all, she won me over. I'll definitely be going back to them in the future.
Ordered two tarps 3 wees ago... never even received shipping confirmation. Called and spoke to lady twice and I was promised a call back. Never happened. Now I call and straight to voicemail. Scam scam scam
I ordered a tool trim kit about 20 days ago. Product was never delivered and no updates when visiting their track your order page. Made 3 requests through their web portal and have received no response. Made 2 phone calls one contact with no return call or email. This may be a drop shipper and not a real retailer. In any case steer clear as they are not reputable. Working with my credit card company for a refund now. DO NOT BUY FROM TOOL PLANET UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

I placed an order two weeks ago. The order has not been shipped. I tried contacting the company by email and phone with no response. Very poor experience.
Terrible customer service. Had to file a dispute with paypal to get a refund for a tool they sent that was not what I ordered. They also go under the name of Stillbay so beware.
Very communicative. Great to deal with. UPS damage one of the units. I sent an email with pictures and another unit was shipped. Thanks!
