After, reading all the horrible reviews I was compelled to write a good one. I have ordered from from ToMO many times and all of their products are amazing the hand carve chess set was by far the best Christmas gift given in my entire life. I also was given store credit for a pair of shoes that didn't fit my husband even pass the 7 days. Yes, customer service via email was a pain and needs improvement for sure but in the end I received the credit. The only reason why I gave a 4 star and not 5 is because the company needs to get under logistics. The product can take months to get.

One order (a knife) shipped after about 2 weeks. When it arrived, I found that my knife had turned into a cheap $#*! slingshot. Reached out to customer service and asked for a refund. 1st line CS person was nice but needed to route the request "the agent who works on returns to take a look at your request". After one week, I asked for a update (crickets"), two weeks crickets. I file a protest with AMEX.
A full month after the initial complaint "Luis" gets back to me. Luis can't really help. No way to get the right item since they only order the number from the sale, no refund possible, but he would be able to give me store credit. My response: No dice. I want a refund to my AMEX. OK, send the item back and we'll handle it on our side. Now, the response is "Oh, we noticed that you filed a claim regarding the order. For this reason, we are unable to provide a refund or action further."
Second item in the order never delivered, no response from ToM, and the best they can say is they have no information from the vendor so they are escalating to Tier 3 support (like that means anything).
There is no way to talk to an actual person. Contact is from their website, then all communications are by email.
Damn f*ck*ing straight I filed a claim with AMEX and no I am not removing it. Can I leave a Zero star review?

I have bought some good products, and some I really like from Touch of Modern, and some I am greatly disappointed with. Overall I am giving only a 2 star because the food products are over presented, overpriced and not-so-good. And when I told them they i was greatly disappointment they only offered a less than realistic store credit. I still occasionally buy from them, but ALWAYS research the product for yourself first and don't buy the hype... and don't but the food (except Sea Bear Salmon) I have been a Sea Bear client for years and saw them recently on Touch.
Received a flash offer on watches that I went ahead to purchase, not realizing that Touch of Modern has no physical inventory, unlike other stores. They take your money and then provide a ship date some weeks out. I doubt if the watches are authentic I tried emailing them to cancel my order because it hasn't shipped. All other watch sites will offer to cancel orders before they are shipped and they don't charge your credit card until the item ships. I failed to check ratings on this company before dealing with them. I will dispute the charge with my credit card company.
Update:. I corresponded via email with them and received a response from a supervisor. My initial email pointed out that I didn't really have a contract to purchase with then since I hadn't received goods or services for payments they had accepted. The basic business law contract legal definition got someone's attention and they promptly refunded my money.
I guess I am old fashioned but I'll never deal with a company that won't stand behind the products they sell

I placed an order from Touch of Modern, it never arrived, when I contacted the brand they said Touch of Modern never paid them for ANY of their inventory. This was handmade stuff! What thieves, do NOT patronize Touch of Modern. If you see anything you like GOOGLE THE BRAND and buy it directly, Touch of Modern just jacks up the price and then does not pay the vendor, essentially ripping every party in the transaction off while keeping the cash.

I know, I know you have heard the stories before but at One point you probably would have seen a 5 star review here but this Company is on the decline and has been for a long time. I have been shopping this website probably since it's inception and initially, my experience was positive. It started first more then 5 years ago when I ordered a clock, it came smashed. They made me jump through hoops and video record the box and damage to get a refund. Then I ordered an expensive watch. Advertised as New, the watch was beat up and used. It was so frustrating but I sent it back and they refunded me my money but only after a small fight. I continued to buy from here, small items as they have some fun stuff to find. Now recently I ordered a watch, arrived 3 weeks late. Even with covid it took over 6 weeks to arrive, much much too long as they stated 2-3 weeks. Wait, gets better, I get the watch and it is defective right out of the box. I contact them via email because you CANT Call them, NO Number. They tell me basically Im lying and I don't know who to use the watch. I return it for them to "see if I am correct" about the watch. Now 3 weeks later, No return email or contact. They have my money and my defective watch. Who know what they will do? This is not how you do business, how they are still in business is a surprise but I implore you, use the website to find some great items but just go buy it locally, at the MFR website, Ebay, Amazon or anywhere else. Beware when ordering from this company. They do not make it clear which items are non-refundable. It seems you can get a lot of their items at other sites for 1/3 the cost. They are good at somehow hiding their rather poor reviews when you search for them on the internet, so I assume they are quite tech savvy but I find they don't care about their customers very much, just about their profits. Eventually those will disappear as word will get out.
My experience is that I bought a wallet that despite my best efforts could not be delivered in time for an event. I asked to cancel the order and they refused, stating the item was on sale and therefore non-refundable. However, they did not even have the item, but needed to order it themselves and were waiting for the sale to finish before placing their order. They could have easily canceled my order before their "sale" ended. By the way, I paid over $40, then found the same wallet at Walmart for $12. Their image is cool, their philosophy is not.
Usually I do not write reviews. But this time I have to do this. I wish there was Zero Star rating. ToM is a real fraud. They do not stand behind their own words. I purchased a watch and watch I received did not include accessory they advertised in the description. They offered me either full refund or partial refund for missing accessory. I chose full refund and they told me to ship watch back and then they full give me full refund. Communication was by e-mail therefore it is all documented. Once they received the watch they stopped communicating and I did not received any refund. I was sending them emails for about one month and they never replied. I paid for this watch by Discover card via PayPal. So I decided to call to PayPal. They opened a case right away. I provided them with all emails from ToM. In 2 days Tom e=mailed me and they said that i have to close case with PayPal in order to refund me. They lied to me that funds are locked because of the opened case. So they tricked me and I cancelled the case with PayPal. I did not get my refund. They simply gave me a store credit and even this credit was $60 less than I paid for the watch. When I called again to PayPal. They could not help me anymore and they explained me that ToM lied that case blocked funds. PP advised me to open a case with Discover. So I called to discover and they opened a case. I opened a case like 2 months ago and it is still unresolved.

My first experience buying from TOM has been horrible. I bought 3 shirts. I travel a lot for business and was out of town when they arrived. When I did get around to the shirts... I ordered 3X shirts and they were at least 2 sizes too small. When I tried to return them, I was told they have a 7 day return policy. WHO has a 7 day return policy in today's online retail world?!
Needless to say this will be my ONE and ONLY purchase from Touch of Modern.

I've bought a good number of things from Touch of Modern. Recently however, their marketing has become more and more deceptive. I have bought items and found the description complete fiction. Pictures that are clearly altered. For example, I recently purchased the "Decobeam RGB Desk Lamp" and the item reality is that it is a cheap facsimile to the lamps in the pictures on their website. The website shows a black tower with solid lines of diffused RGB light strips with multi color options. The reality is a cheap clear plastic tower with black paint, no RGB strips just a few LEDs at the bottom of the tower that light the tower in one color. It is barely even a facsimile of what is marketed. They advertise "instructions included" and it is one sheet of paper with two sentences, neither of which are accurate or work. No product support website address. Not even a manufactures or supplier name provided.
This has been a trend of Touch of Modern I have noticed. I've opted out of their marketing efforts, though I doubt they discontinue sending me emails.
Touch of Modern has recently removed from their website any ability of users/customers to provide reviews of the products they sell. It is clearly evident why they made this decision. The company is clearly shifting to a business model of deceiving and scamming their customers.

Just avoid Touch of Modern. You never know what you are getting, they ship slow, often months slow, and while they used to be hit and miss they are not consistently missing.

Had success with Touch a year ago. Bought handmade old fashion type glasses. However, purchased several items April 2022; none lived up to my satisfaction. The quality or color or size weren't correct. Tried to return them on their terms. (Must request a return within 2weeks of receiving or purchase.) They gave me the run around and never received a return label or didn't reply to my requests. I wrote numerous letters; they can't be reach via phone number.

I ordered 3 weeks ago special Valentines flowers for my wife of 19 years. HEre is the description:
"Show that special someone in your life just how you feel this Valentine's Day with this Kenyan Rose Bouquet, featuring two dozen fresh, long stem roses".
Not only did they not show up. I called 3x today and was told they would. When they NEVER showed up, I was offered a credit (duh) and a WAIT FOR IT... a $10.00 gift card.
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT. I have spent over $15,000 in 3 years with them and they want me to say to my wife:
