Our 2018 Toyota Prius has a cracked fuel pump. They are telling us there is a shortage for parts and it could be three or four weeks or more. It cannot be driven so we are now renting a car and looking at a bill for repairs and car rentals over $5000 and going up the longer we wait. Our car has been serviced regularly at the dealership. Our last Prius (2009) still has its original fuel pump and has never run up a bill over $1000. A relative is still driving it without issues. If you cannot get parts it gets very expensive very quickly. And just getting an appointment to get the parts installed may take longer- not good service. We loved owning a Prius but will never own one again.
