Toyota Financial Services has the worst customer service of any credit Company I've ever dealt with. This was a complete surprise to me as I know that Toyota Motor Credit is very exclusive and caters to a customer with a higher credit rating. I was so excited when my co-signed for my daughter first car and she was approved for TMCC. Little did we know 18 months in we'd be faced with a crappy mobile application, crappy and lazy customer service, and overall incompetence in managing payments made to accelerate the payoff of the vehicle. What we learned was every payment made through the application was not being applied to the payment that was due. Instead it was going towards interest. The reason we discovered this mistake was we went in and scheduled about four payments through the mobile app. Unfortunately Toyota Financial Services decided to process all four payments on the same day. This cause chaos with our bank which was now overdrawn and even more chaos in the statement balance which now started to generate a bunch of erroneous amounts. Until this very day we still have not resolved this situation fully. What we have done is decided to suck it up take the loss and now make every payment judiciously and carefully and record it. I will never Recommend Toyota Motor Credit Corporation or Toyota Financial Services to anyone, Friend or Foe. I would rather use the Carlo Services provided by my credit card with Capital One. Good to buy Toyota, you may have some of the best vehicles, but your reputation is marred by the ugly customer service any competence of your representatives over the phone. Only 1 in 10 seem to know what they are doing.
