Never had problems with them. Yes, prices can be a bit higher, but you just have to look out for there deals. As far as the shipping goes, it doesn't take too long for home or store delivery. And they always have hard to find toys.
Placed order and took ages to deliver. When this did arrived box all damaged. Do not recommend them, very expensive, customer service very poor, thought i would try there web as the shops have miserable staff in them
It was my dad's birthday and I don't know what to give him. I dropped by Toys R Us to look for gifts for my nephew and saw these awesome trains and decided to get them for my father. It made him really happy since he loves trains. So for father's day, I'm coming back for a set of Legos since he also loves those. When looking for toys for either boys or girls, both young and young-at-heart, I always go to Toys R Us.
Returns are super easy. My only knock on them is how the internet prices are so much cheaper than the store prices. But you pay for the convenience of walking out the store with your gift rather than waiting for it to arrive.
When I was younger, they had so much more to explore, but now there's just not much great stuff left. The toys of today don't beat what we had when I was a child and they carry less of everything they used to. They need new creative things to carry to reach children and their parents.
If you want to use a credit card you were assigned that you've not used in a while, don't worry, they will have closed it for you.
If you want to shop in a cool environment so you can stroll thru the isles making many purchases, don't worry, you can sweat all they way thru the 80 degree store.
If you want to get help for a specific item from the customer service reps, don't worry, you'll do better asking another customer, the reps don't even know the store lay out.
If you want to use a coupon that was mailed to you, don't worry if it's still in date, because they might not have the product means you miss out.
Such a large store with no real flare for what it means to be a consumer pro store.
I ordered a pram online for £150 will no sighn was told by a very rude employee on the phone "there is nothing I can do" and then hung up. After getting text telling me it will be delivered today then cancelled now it will be next Wednesday, but address is wrong so prob won't turn up, what a crap service. Anyone got any ideqas?
I'm very unpleased with the ongoing back n forth run around with my parcel that was meant to have gotten to my address but never showed up I'm demanding a repayment and that's taking so long to comprehend and I'm very mad at all of this outcomes so so sad tbh it's unbelievable

I don't think you can beat TRU, I went into my local store a few weeks ago and they were out of stock on something I needed for Xmas. I asked a staff member Sally who was so helpful they offered to order it from another store for me. When it arrived however it had a damaged box, I'd already paid but I had a decent £5 off refunded to me. Excellent service Thanks you Sally and Mike
Wide variety of toys and wide variety of prices. Since they combined with Babies r Us it hasn't been as nice to shop there. Those are
2 different categories of stores and should stay separate. The baby section is actually more thorough than the toys.
They dont respond to customer service enquiry form. They dont have a phone number to contact them. Never got my complete order. They basically ate my money. Such a fake company. They only publish good review on their website.
I am an adult but I love cruising through this stores, both real stores and web shops. Legos and nerf guns seems to be in abundance, much to my child-like joy. There is a great selection and quality products in Toys'R'Us, however sometimes the customer service lacks in politeness. This lacking is nowhere near some ''parents'' and their spoiled beyond reason ''kids'' and the overall disturbance they cause. When that happens, I escape the stores rather quickly, thus shopping online seems to be the best option.

Try to stay away from overpriced Disney products, in 4 months passing they drop almost half the price.
They post sales on legos and other goods, stating its only valid for prices ending in a certain number. The price on the shelf is not the correct number so when you go and purchase these items thinking you are getting a sale it is incorrect as they have changed the price to end in. 97 and do not let you know that. Many people dont realize this and end up spending alot more then they intended too. This is just as bad as stealing. Shame on you toys r us. Its a no wonder why you had to shut down all American stores. Public be aware, do not support this, do not buy from them. Buy online and let them shut there doors. These crooks do not deserve our hard earned money. The director at the St. James store in Winnipeg said it was ok to write this review.
Toys R Us shipped an incorrect gift item. When I called to rectify it, they tried to insist that the individual who received the gift return the item. The item that they sent was a fraction of the price that I paid. On top of it, they tried to charge me twice--for the un-received item and the incorrect item! Things were eventually resolved, but it took about a month of daily phone calls and discussions. Inefficient service!
Recently I purchased a chess set from Toys-R US. It sold with a 10% discount.
When I arrived home I opened the package and couldn't believe what I saw.
The chess board was severely damaged with cracks and punctures through the board.
I immediately called the store I bought it from but the phone rang for approximately 25 times before switching to a busy signal. When I took a closer look at the sales receipt I noticed it read "all sales final". There was no sign stating this by the chess set nor did the sales lady tell me before I purchased the item. I called my credit card company and put a claim on the purchase.
The selection is awesome for both toys r us and babies r us. The prices are fair if things are on sale. If they are not on sale, they are more on the expensive side.
The same thing goes with babies r us registry service. It is awesome that it has tonnes of selection. And it is also great that there are so many locations that makes it convenient for customers. However the registry itself is tedious to make. It took me hours to delete all the "preexisting" items on the registry. And the added shipping cost to items makes it unfriendly to the gift givers. The other catch is that when you want to return a few items you realize you don't need from the registry and do not have a gift receipt, they only give you credit for the lowest price it was at. And the promotion's in the u.s. are not viable in Canada. So if you were hoping to get your 10% off when you buy the rest of your registry, you are kidding yourself.
I have used Toys R Us in the past as I had a child and needed things such as clothing, diapers, toys, and we needed a buggy to carry the child in and all sorts of stuff. All the stuff they sold to us was always in good shape and if we needed to exchange something we were allowed to do so. They are a great store IMO. The store moved out of my town unfortunately so we have to go to another town if anything is wanted from them or order from online. At least there is that. I still like them though.

Be careful when you buy anything from this store in Canada, and ask about the return policy…. I bought Lego in the morning and found the box broken in afternoon so I went back to Toys R us same store on the Decarie to return it at the same day… they refused to return it saying that in their policy they don't return Lego! I asked them where is this policy written, and of course it is not written anywhere…. I told them you should write this on a big sign near the Lego section… very bad store I don't know till when they will survive… always high prices, no price matching (this is what the staff told me) no return… they don't respect any of customers rights in Canada

Their system errors out on the shipping address and now they cant cacel the order or correct the shipping address. What kind of company cant correct a shipping address or cancel an order?! Basically on out my money for the order and there is nothing they can do.
Hope someone at that random address likes the toys I bought them. Was supposed to go to a toy drive at work.

I ordered 1 item from toysrus on Dec. 16 with 2 day free shipping. Two days later I got an email saying my order was delayed. Then on Dec. 20, I received an email claiming the item shipped with a tracking number. The tracking # turned out to be completely bogus as it was for an order that shipped to someone else in another state during the past summer. I then called toysrus and had to wait for an hour to talk to someone. They assured me they would credit my account. Then on Dec. 31 I receive another email from toysrus asking me to rate my item LEGO SPARKLING ICE CASTLE *******, which I never received. I decided to check my credit card statement. They billed my credit card for the item on Dec. 22, I think it was the same day I called, and they never credited my account. So, I had to call yet once again and still am not sure they have taken care of it. They wasted 2 hours of my time and no apology, NOTHING!
I bought several items from here about 2-3 months ago. But some of what I got was incorrect and I was missing other items. So I contacted them. They refunded me for items that were out of stock and reshipped the incorrect items. However, I got the same thing the second time. But normally, they are great to do business with.
Ordered Items from them for Christmas. Now told Items on backorder and may not come until after Christmas. Called Customer Service, they are of no help and couldn't tell status of most items ordered. Credit card shows charges of $40 dollars over amount order was supposed to be! Whole operation at this retailer seems to be out of control, right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I would recommend using other retailers and avoid ToyRus if possible. Sorry for being so negative, but they don't seem to have their act together.
I order a doll few days back. They said I'll get my order in 7 working days. But I received my order with 4 days and I love the "Doll" because I wasn't expected they will deliver with the such an amazing quality. One more thing I got discount on my order too. Thank you for this kindness.
Great for the kids good choice of toys, however they need to lower there prices as you can find the same goods online for cheaper but for the conveience of shopping on the day the price is worth paying the little extra
Okay so we all have fond memories of ToysRUs... right? Well I ordered a powerwheels type of car a Fiat for my niece in blue. They sent the wrong color and I ended up with white. Her favorite color is blue, so this was upsetting to me. I called customer service and talked to them about it. The first person I talked to on the phone was very unhelpful and I demanded to speak to a manager. They promised to replace it in time for her birthday which is 10 days from now. I wish the person I had talked on the phone first was a nice and didn't have to talk to a manager to get it done. But at least it's done or I hope it is. We shall see. I'll still always shop at ToysRUS but probably not online anymore. I'll stick with going to the store so I can make sure I get what I want the first time around.
What a great store! We took the kids there when we were in Idaho Falls, ID, and store was closing in 30 minutes. The workers that were there were super helpful, were joking with our kids, and even made a page to one of our daughters to embarrass her! It was so fun and worth the 60-minnute drive!
