I enrolled in auto refill because of a discount offer of $5.00 per month. After signing up, I did not receive the discount. I added my credit card information and the offer "magically" disappeared. I called customer service and no less than 3 people hung up on me when I tried to get the issue resolved. Now, I am trying to get a refund for my entire service and disconnect my service. Please be careful with this company. They are extremely unprofessional. UPDATE: The problem has been solved. I was given what was previously promised and 2 months free service for the inconveniences. All is well. Thank you!
I do not appreciate your bad cell service. Multiple times I have had to reset my kids phone just so it gets service. This last time was the last straw. Thank you for terrible service. I will be giving a bad reference every time someone asks. Hanna Nash - 1
Service works fine when working. If you have a question or require technical support be prepared to spend untold hours on the phone. Most likely get bounced around to several agents all of whom read from a script. Repeat themselves many times and this is if you can understand them in the first place. To top it off they recently truncated service without warning ostensibly due to a takeover by Verizon. After two days and working myself up to supposedly manager level support things actually got worse. Only comm left was being able to receive text from TracFone and now even that is gone. After 6 or 7 years BYE BYE TracFone!

I recently called to have my phone shut off because it was stolen and they refused to shut it off. They kept saying because I couldn't confirm the text that they sent… well obviously if my phone was stolen, I can't confirm a text! But I can confirm the payment method. I can also confirm the email address where the billing went through. By the way I can also confirm my name as the buyer of the phone! If one cent comes out of my account for a top off I will be dyeing this company! You are thieves and aiding in a theft. I will never purchase another thing from Trashfone!
Donot buy anything from this company bought a sim and recharge card was told I needed to buy smart card buy someone who barely speaks English.after being hung up on twice by two other agents with English as their second language one of them added my card to another account and the last one told me there is nothing I can do. Is this what phone service in America has come to. Zero stars this company is a thief and a joke if u want to lose ur money with no explanation then you can support them!

Been having trouble for weeks now looking up my balance and airtime plans on tracfone.com they don't have any solution except to try again later and it's the same thing nothing comes up. There useless.
While entering a new minutes card they texted a message saying if I continued I would lose my 2 years of days. Called in and Abigail was able to fix that but would not verify the balances, how stupid.
Tracfone has literally no customer service. You can chat or call, but the people you will talk to, while nice, have no clue what they are doing. You pay for service you never get; for example, I purchased a data top-off which was never applied, and all I got was runaround. Phone calls to support mysteriously cut off before anything could be resolved... They even held my phone number hostage and would not allow me to port it to a better company. 0/5 stars for CracFone.
If 0 stars was an option that is what I would have given them. Awful customer service! Said their service would be compatible with my phone which it was not. Spent over six hours on the office being transferred from one customer service rep to another. Told me they would refund my money then turn around and refuse to. Had to file complaints and finally got a rise out of them. Told me they would mail me a check yet never did. Don't even understand how they are still in business. They basically rip people off...
I really haven't had any major issues with the service. Only ever had to call tech support a few times over 30 years. I can usually figure things out on my own.
My only biggest major gripe right now is the redesign of there web pages. Everything about it stinks. First of all i always have issues logging in. You need t do a lot more clicks to get where you need to be. I did like to see all my devices at once, now i have select which 1 i want to look at from a drop down box. ( totally a waste of more time) Then there are errors trying to load my other selected device. I just totally hate the new design! Straight Talk web site went to this stupid design also. Another big pain to log in as well. There old web design worked a lot smoother than it does now. I just cannot express myself enough that both web site designs are a real pain in the butt!
Ordered Phone that did not get any cell phone reception. Spent over two hours with customer service trying to reset, reboot, update, etc. Major frustration. Got transferred to numerous useless people, got disconnected twice. Requested new SIM card and was denied. Would not take phone back. Do not give them your business!
I've used Tracfone in the past and haven't had an issue, but something has changed with the past few years. Faulty products, customer service that doesn't provide a solution and instead sends you spinning in circles, etc. I highly recommend avoiding them.

Horrible company. My Tracfone service was recently down for more than a week due to a widespread outage, but Tracfone never bothered to keep customers apprised of what was going on or when service was expected to be restored. I called multiple times and after very lengthy hold times, I was told by unconcerned reps that it would take "approximately two hours" for the problem to be resolved. This went on for days. Finally, I gave up in utter frustration and changed carriers despite having hundreds of dollars of pre-paid minutes accumulated with Tracfone (I had been a customer for over 15 years). Simply not worth the aggravation. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Tracfone will not honor their own Promo Code ******* on the 365 service day card they mailed me. Also I could not use chat to find out why because it is not working at 10:40 a m EST! I finally got through on chat today, after 15 minutes I was denied their coupon again. They then gave me one a phone number to call during the week. I know from pasted experience if you phoned them you get a foreign who speaks broken english it is a waste of time>
Do not order no phones with Trac phone they are liars. I rated them a 1 view for their survey. They charged my husband account twice 111.39. For the same phone. When he only needed one phone and placed the order with an call representative. They refused to provide tracking numbers but gave an order number it's stealing. Lied about giving him an email for tracking his cell phone. Im disputing the issue with my bank now and he's definitely getting his money back. Our overall experience has been awful! Customer service is awful!

3 hours of confused customer service unable to get my phone set up on tracfone. I purchased the phone and sim from them. Now they are trying it get to the next step but will take 24 to 30 hours. Ive spent 3 hours and my wife another hour. 20 years ago they were able to do this in 5 minutes. Moving their customer service out of the country( yes it's extremely obvious) was a big mistake. Card included with phone has 2 numbers that service needs to set this up. They say they need another number but can't tell me we're to find it.

At this time have no phone service. My previous service has been ported pre tracfone request. So am waiting 24 to 30 hours with no cell service.
Android phone stopped working, could not receive or make calls as of March 16,2022. Called tracfone almost every day about this problem. Spent 3-4 hrs on phone with agents, repeating same info with each one. On 2 occasions I was disconnected FOUR times, each time placed on hold only to repeat info all over again. My last call on 4/19 was the last when a "corporate manager" stated she could not help me, that she has to transfer me to "a corporate manager". Was disconnected (second time). I paid $39 in March to renew phone plan, and cannot use phone for calls!
You're guaranteed to be endlessly juggled between departments, with most agents either not understanding the issue or not willing to make an effort to help. Don't bother with chat, either, because my experience with chat was like speaking with a robot rather than a human agent. Another cellphone company I recently contacted was able to help me right away (correctly at first contact) via chat. Tracfone agents lack service and knowledge skills - even for their own departments.

Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. Plus they include internet time spent on WiFi against the mobile data allotment. Using Android internals AND a network monitoring app, I was able to verify I only used 1.5 Gb of mobile/cell data in Feb, with another 13.8 Gb done on WiFi. Tracfone charged all 15.3 Gb as mobile data overcharging me by $80. When I talk to customer service & tech support, they are utterly clueless (on purpose?) and switch me to a "supervisor" who then spends the first ten minutes repeating all the proof of identity questions the previous three agents asked me, and then tell me "there is nothing they know to do" about any potential problems in how they are calculating data usage. 5 years ago they were bought by Verizon. I will be leaving Tracfone and NOT going to Verizon. Way to go idiot moron executives drinking cocktails at the 19th green of the clubhouse and thinking up new ways to cheat the customer.
Ordered new phone after mine was stolen. Received phone but they changed my number and charged me twice. After a month they have been unable to solve even one issue. *******089 Additional the phone agent used curse words. The chat agent cannot help because they are not allowed in your account. Tech Support doesn't know how to use chat.

While I am generally happy with the plans offered, tracfone has the worst customer service I have ever experienced if there are any issues... and I have dealt with ATT so that is saying something. If something goes wrong expect no help at all. I lost my cell phone then bought a dedicated tracfone phone to replace it yet they will not activate my new phone for 72 hours with no reasonable explanation beyond "it is on a "blacklist" whatever that means. Terrible service!
I had been happy for years with Tracfone. Mostly use it for texting. They removed the add-on feature that let you buy 1000 additional texts for $5... Now, if you use all your texts in your plan year, you must buy a monthly service plan that costs a minimum of $15 or $20 per month. This change was made in the middle of my current annual service term. Believe me, texts go quickly, and I've usedall 1500 texts four months into my annual term. Be very careful what you pay for with Tracfone. Hidden costs make this $100 phone now cost over $300 for the year..

Four family members use Tracfone and nobody plans on switching. Six months ago I bought a $20 (Tracfone) Alcatel smart phone that includes triple minutes/data/texts. Its an Android and is similar to a Samsung. I live in a suburb of a Chicago and my cell service has been fantastic. I spend $49/ yr for service, texts are $5 per 1,000 and if I buy a card for minutes its tripled. Very inexpensive for great reception.

Search for promo codes online or sign up for texts from Tracfone. Instead of buying minutes cards when you run out of texts, go to Tracfone.com and under “Buy Air Time” look for “Add-Ons”, where you can buy 1,000 texts for $5.00
I have called and chatted with their customer service at least 9 times, for a total of 4 hours, and was belched at, sung to, promised by each person that they would assist me to get phone service or that an expert would call me back to no avail. I also asked for a refund for my airtime within a week and they all avoided and put me through repeated efforts to dismantle the phone, rebuild the towers, alter numerous settings and still no resolution. Hello Better Business Bureau and credit card company chargebacks!

Tracfone stole my $200 phone and over 3,000 minutes and over 1,000 text and I called 12 times -- miserable long times --with no exchange phone being sent ot me. Bought the phone from HSN that will also not do anything for me. I'm still paying on the phone. They actually don't get any stars at all. I have proof of purchase and also them getting the phone to exchange for a new one.
I bought four phones for my kids, but was having issues activating them so I called customer service and they were unable to verify my account. They said I set up a pin number, but I never did because we have never used these phones. After going back-and-forth for several minutes and getting nowhere with the customer service rep, I asked to be transferred to a supervisor. The rep told me there was no supervisor on the floor. When I questioned him on that, he told me that there was a supervisor but he wouldn't transfer me. He said that all customer service reps are trained to not escalate things to supervisors, and that he would not transfer me and would not help me out. So now I have four iPhones, that are completely worthless, and I cannot even unlock them to take them to another carrier. I absolutely abhor people and companies like this.
