I enrolled in auto refill because of a discount offer of $5.00 per month. After signing up, I did not receive the discount. I added my credit card information and the offer "magically" disappeared. I called customer service and no less than 3 people hung up on me when I tried to get the issue resolved. Now, I am trying to get a refund for my entire service and disconnect my service. Please be careful with this company. They are extremely unprofessional. UPDATE: The problem has been solved. I was given what was previously promised and 2 months free service for the inconveniences. I do not appreciate your bad cell service. Multiple times I have had to reset my kids phone just so it gets service. This last time was the last straw. Thank you for terrible service. I will be giving a bad reference every time someone asks. Hanna Nash - 1
I had to upgrade my phone because it was no longer supported. It was not too much trouble to get a new phone, they sent me a new one for free. But trying to get my service, minutes and number transferred was hell. It was not the 22.00 dollars I had just spent on minutes, but the principle of the whole matter. I spent about six hours trying to accomplish the transfer with several different agents and several different ways of trying to solve the problem. The problem is still not resolved. I finally asked to speak to a manager. They were supposed to call but never did. At this time I am going to throw the brand new phone in the trash and get a different phone. It will not be a Tracfone or anything to do with Verizon who owns Tracfone. There is no recourse that I can find and no one to speak to in this country.

QVC had a special for 2 Android phones. They are tracfones. I gave one to my grandson as a gift. The phones came with so many free minutes/texts. I called the phone number that was provided because I wanted to transfer my phone number from my old phone. I am disabled and all my doctors had my phone number so I wanted to keep it. I have called for 7 days straight and got different instructions each time with no success. I asked the last rep for a manager and was told they don't take calls from anyone. The reps name was Jomar. Every rep was foreign and difficult to understand. I will never ever recommend tracfone to anyone not even a dog. Jomar was so rude and every rep instructed me incorrectly.
For a first phone this teaches responsibility and how to spend your money wisely.

I bought a galaxy a01 and a nokia 2760 from the store and used those for a while. They make it seem like a good deal, when in reality, it's not. They offer 2 gigs of data for $20, when mint offers 15 gigs. They also charge hidden fees, bringing the total to somewhere around $25-27, which is enough to buy an unlimited plan on tello. Also their coverage is s***. You have a better chance finding a wedding ring in a lake than finding reliable data. It SUUUCKS. Plus there is ZERO international roaming. You can't even pay. Nope. And since 99 percent of tracfones phones are locked and THEY REFUSE TO UNLOCK THEM, you can't even put a roaming sim in. If you turn on cellular in another country, IT F***S THE SIM CARD UP AND YOU HAVE TO BUY A NEW ONE! GOD! I WISH I COULD GIVE 0 STARS!
Bought service to expire in Jan 2025. Not on contract. Cancelled service May4th. Asked for refund. Was told to verify my account. My e-mail address did not match with what they had nor did the security questions. They somehow got my account mixed up with someone else. Was asked to give them the last four calls I made in the last sixty days to verify my account. They told me they could not verify the calls I gave them. After three tries I was told to call back later as my time had run out. Tried again the next day twice and got the same run around. Asked for a supervisor with no luck. Told me unless they could verify my account the could do nothing and did not offer to offer any more assistance. Terrible customer service.

I had 2 active phone numbers with two two different phones,I merely wanted to transfer my number. I spent 3 days attempting to do such,with costumer service,only for them to disconnect both of my lines and losing ALL of my minutes on both. Now my IMEI number is apparently invalid. It wasn't "invalid" for the past 3 days while "transferring" my number. They stole my number I had for a year,with 2 weeks of service left,my new phone's 2,000 minutes and now I have 0 numbers and 0 minutes after spending 3 days with these people. They're just hanging up on me now. Horrible company!
I purchased a phone it said delivery in 3 days I got it three weeks later. Wanted to return the phone. They said it would take 5 days for a return label. Then I asked if I could just mail it back. They said no you need a return label I called back 5 days later. And they said I could just mail it back but I have to pay for shipping. Tried to email the coprate office and the email domain does not exist

If you cannot find our tracfone, you are not allowed to know your balance or transfer them to another phone. This is the worst system to help customers. Even though you have your pin number, your sim number, your serial number, you cannot have access unless you know the last number called from your lost phone.
I purchased an Android Tracfone this July 2022 and transferred my number from my flip phone to it. The new Trac phone was so hard to use (small print) and touchy keyboard). I then had my number transferred back to the Trac flip phone and reset the Android phone to factory settings. In September I decided to give the Android another try with a new service card ($40) and when trying to activate it I found out it was froze. I was told by a Tracfone Tech that since it was froze, they would send me a new Android with the service activated within 5 business days and info on how to send the old Android back. After calling them for over a month with the tracking number I was told to send my old Android in before they would mail me a new one. I'm still waiting on the new one with info and packaging to send the old one back. I'm so fed up with Tracfone and the bad customer service.
I purchase a Tracfone with card from Target. I talked to a Tracfone rep who was no help in setting up this phone. A long time, I had a flip phone from Tracfone over 4+ years ago. The rep told me that he sent a text number to that phone and wanted me to tell it to him. I explained that I did not have that phone so he hung up on me. I never got the new phone setup so I took it back to Target and got my money back for the phone only. I received nothing for the card because I scratched it off in the back to show the code. The time has never been used and if someone wants it please let me know.

I did not expect much from a "flip phone" costing $20 that is LOCKED and Tracfone will not anyone in the world to unlock it. But they still disappointed. Most Odious is the fact the (Tracfone) Nokia 2660 is limited to only 15 Contacts in the phone. And there appears to be no way to increase the number since there is NO provision for a mini-SD card for storage. Even tried transferring my contacts list from another phone but that did not work. And this 4-G phone will NOT work in Europe. There is NO customer service from what I see. Only question now is "who will pickup the customers when Tracfone goes bankrupt?" or "Will we be allowed to get the UNLOCK CODES?" Perhaps the bankruptcy court will answer. Black Star Rated.
On the November 25,2022, I bought a Samsung Galaxy A32 for my wife. Shortly after I activated it, it went dead and quit working. I tried to get another phone for her and as of yet I have not received another phone. Every tine I contact Tracfone, they tell me we will send you an email and let you know when to expect another phone. I have yet to see an email! They also tell me in 3-5 business days you will receive another phone. They have been telling me this for five weeks! This has been going on for over 3 months!
Also on January 26,2023 my wife's phone was deactivated. When it was reactivated she lost about 4 GB of data and 3000 texts. I would like them to be added back onto her phone!
I had three tracfone lines. Customer service questions were never answered correctly, but I was too lazy to switch companies. Finally canceled all three lines. Not only did tracfone not let the phone numbers get ported, they continued billing me - and are still billing me - as of December 2022. When I called Tracfone and asked them how they could be billing a former customer with no tracfones, the company said they had to "validate" my phone number to research the problem. I go, "I don't have a tracfone." So they said they won't take me off of auto-pay, because they can't validate my phone number. They admitted I was being billed about $45 per month on auto-pay, and had no phone or services with their company. Their answer? "Dispute the charges through your credit card company. If the charges don't stop, cancel your card." Seriously - the worst company experience i've ever endured. Hours and hours and hours of my life on hold, with no resolution to their incompetence.

The service goes in and out and is sometimes out for days not connecting to any tower.
When I finally got a new sim card, I asked tracfone to unlock my phone, since I couldn't use their service at all. They refused to unlock the phone and said I had to pay an unlocking charge of 135$ plus taxes, which is way more than the phone cost. The people at corporate also claimed they could not do anything about it and we're not helpful. So now I have no service and also no way of getting my new sim card activated, since they refuse to give up the phone.

I've had issues with this phone from the first day I received it. I payed 180 for a 5G phone. I've called customer service over and over. Can't find a representative that I can understand. They are all from a foreign country. I keep having problems with my sims card but they won't replace it or replace the phone. Another phone for the trash.Ill never have another trace phone. They are crap and You have to deal with people outside the US, that no one can understand.
I purchased a plan from tracphone with Data. I tried turning on hotspot but received an error message, so I contacted customer support and was told that the issue was on their end and that if it did not work after 24 hours to contact them again. The lady I spoke with told me that my plan covered hotspot tethering and that it was typically a 24 hour turn around for the issue to be resolved. After 24 hours and it still not working I contacted them again to be told that my plan did not cover the hotspot and when I asked for a refund and tried to explain why I was upset the person on the other end only wanted to argue with me telling me that they do not do refunds and that even though I was told that my plan covered hoptspot. When I explained that I was lied to I was more or less told that it did not matter that their customer service reps lie.

I bought a phone from Tracfone and the phone never would work would not register, I contacted customer service and for 5 days i was on the phone trying to activate it, it would never activate. I was told i had a bad sim card they wanted to charge me for a new one and my phone was new. I sent the phone back for a refund and they only refunded me for the phone didn't give me my money for the minutes which i didn't use any. This place is a rip off customer service don't know anything. People go to T Mobile they have great deals and customer service is great.

I have not been able to send or receive calls since 11/25/23. With first call I was told I needed new SIM card which was sent and rec'd 11/30/23. Inserted card and called support numerous times. Each time I had to give phone #, IMEI # and Sim card #. My call was dropped when problem wasn't resolved. Last call gave my landline and asked to be called back if call got dropped. Call dropped and no call back. My service is good till Aug 2024, but looks like plan was changed from unlimited call & text and my remaining data was dropped. Would give negative if possible.

Trying to get through to the people in customer service is like pulling teeth. They don't have any logic. The communication gap is unbearable. All I am trying to do is change my Email address. I try to explain to them that I can not receive a link at the e-mail address that I am trying to change. Because it does not exist anymore. So they try to send me a link by text which expires in ten minutes, and I don't receive the link from 1/2 hour to three hours. I give up. I think I will get rid of these Tracphones and try to find a carrier I can communicate with.

If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. Their service and customer service is horrible! Do not purchase a plan from them, the service is faulty and their customer service is a bunch of robots reading off a script with NO HELP! Avoid them at all costs.
I have a poorly running smart phone. So I wanted to change back to a regular tracfone but I can't because you aren't allowed to go backwards. I've been a loyal customer for 15+years and the only thanks I got was to bad company policy. I have 3k minutes on the phone and I'll have to suffer with this dumb phone. I can upgrade and get to keep my minutes but, Once my time runs out so does Tracfone and everyone I know will be looking elsewhere as well.

I've had an LG phone for years and auto charge to Visa that worked out great monthly for the whole year, even though it was mostly used while in Florida for 3 months and the odd day border shopping. Tracfone changed network to 5G and sent me a phone free of charge which was great and was told the same service and cost would remain. Once we left Florida in April, they stopped charging my Visa and I lost a ton of minutes. I called when I first noticed my Visa card wasn't being charged and they said I'd get my mins.back when I came back to the USA. It never happened.
I am in a wheel chair and my old phone was set up three years ago and seldom used. I dropped service from straight talk and purchased a new sim card from walmart. Three of their phone activation people will not validate who I am and they all read from a script. The want to send me an email that is no longer valid. They will not update my email address. They keep asking for a 4 digit pin number which I do not have, They keep asking for the old sim card number. That sim card had not number on it. The keep asking fo any phone number used in the last 6 month.I seldom use the phone to call thus this is not possible. The phone is used for emergencies only. Tracephone sucks. MAJOR USAF

I bought a simcard and a prepaid plan for a short trip to US. It didn't work at all, and the customer service on the phone was no help, although they recognized there was a problem with the simcard. They suggested that we had to buy a different simcard kit... It was EXACTLY the same thing that we bought!
We went to a nearby electronic shop and they recommended to buy another kit from another brand (that worked). So far so good, I've lost 20 USD from Tracfone and it seems like I will never get neither my time or my money back... Not that much in a life, but enough to write an honest review. So, if you're travelling from Canada, DO NOT buy Tracfone prepaid plan and simcard. I went with Ultra mobile and I'm very satisfied, but maybe there are other companies too.

On 12-10-21, I received a Galaxy A32 5G that I ordered. On 12-14-21, it blew up. Howling and screeching. I called Tracfone on another phone and let them listen. The tech person said send it to Tracfone and they would replace it. That same day I returned it to Tracfone via UPS with their paperwork. I have been calling Tracfone with order #. I hear "it is in process". "tomorrow or some other day". Very polite and then they hang up. English comprehension is definitely a problem. It is in process. How can a replacement phone be in process. I have been a Tracfone customer for several years. That may change soon. I have tried to add my receipt 5 times. It does not show up in proof of purchase box.
