When he's jumping and I simply ignore his behavior, as you said, he stops within a very short amount of time. Also, praising him with just simply saying good has worked great. I wont lie it is still a work in progress but I can most defiantly see that its working as Prince is already calming down a lot sooner than he normally does when jumping up on anyone he can get close enough to, he actually has started to listen to me now and understands what hearing my voice at these times mean. Our pup was terrible at biting. Like all pups his teeth are needle sharp and it was becoming a real problem. Your suggestion of simply putting him down on the floor and not making a fuss has resulted in much less biting.
I was rather unfortunate to find this website when I was looking for some advanced training material. On requesting their e book, the requests just went on and on and everytime my account got debited even when I tried to put out, problem is they have my credit card number so it was easy to suck you dry. After numerous emails and tickets, still have not heard anything or received the DVD's and books I paid for. Through their face book I managed to get to a bid that referred me to a "human" who conveniently replied, but have heard nothing more.
Piss poor effort on the e book and service. Be warned this "company" is a scam and avoid using them.
Legal department, or upper management will not return phone calls regarding concerns. Beginning to feel very bad about this company. Apparently this issue will go directly to their insurance carrier. Additionally the headquarters appears to be in a different country, I was charged additional fees because it was from other country.
I did not know how to get back to find my answers in Ask an Expert. Sally was very helpful. We went through all the points to helping us be more alpha with our puppy and we feel we can do this and are seeing improvement already.
There were no behavior therapist within 50 miles of me. That suggestion is out.
I got lots of other useful hints, but may not be able to do all of them. There is really no space limiting room we can put her in. I did put four beds where she usually uses the rug. But that itself may not work. I will try using the playpen idea.
She doesn't always respond well to treats, even high value ones. Will try a few and hope for results.

I've been training my baby with this process and fit her breed most people can't believe how mild mannered my female Rottweiler is. The training is very effective however it takes time and patience of the owner. It's best to have only one trainer as not to confuse your puppy. I love this class.

I am so glad Sally called and she picked up on what my dog was doing after being walked. If the grain-free food has caused her heart to enlarge, i hope I can help reverse it by changing food right away. My veterinarian suggested the same foods as Sally. They found no problems with Lucy after a thorough exam. I am to take her back immediately if she comes home with the same problem. At that time they can see first hand what is happening and will then suggest more testing.
Complete scam. I have paid for the training book about two months ago. I have left dozen messages n received three calls back with we r sorry its on its way n still no training book. I'm frustrated n upset at how there r people who take advantage of others to make money. I will not stop calling n making it a priority in calling as many times as i can through out the day n night until i receive what i have paid for. We read with interest your emails regarding training our beautiful Shih Tzu, Zac.He is generally a well behaved little man and adored by Yvonne & Myself but does have a little naughty streak at times!Your emails are excellent and expressed in plain English. Your words of wisdom are common sense but like a lot of dog owners we forget that our job is to make our little friends obey commands when they do not speak English and hence have to have repetitive instruction in order to get the message. Keep up the good work.

I feel more confident in the ways I am working with my dogs. The trainers have always given me such great advice and things we can do to improve our dogs behavior. It's hard training two at one time but all of the trainers, especially Paula and Sally, are so encouraging and helpful.
