I have been trying to contact TransUnion for 3 days. Live Chat never gets answered. Phone call means being on hold for over 1.5 hours and still no one answers the phone. If this is a company that is supposed to be relied upon for credit scores or to register with Mytrueidentity leaves little room for comfort. This company should get the award for worst service ever. And I gave 1 star because it wouldn't allow zero.
Their systems to verify identity don't work, they wouldn't let me use my regular email address, I had to use an old email address that I use for junk, they claim my cell phone number isn't for a cell phone. Their computer systems don't work. Their customer service reps don't care. Wait times to speak with someone are atrocious, so far in total, I've been on hold for over 6 1/2 hours over 3 attempts to actually use their service and I still can't get into my account. I have no confidence that any service they offer is accurate or complete. It's a wonder that they remain in business. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Stay away, avoid like the plague, and utilize any other service out there instead.
Do not waste precious time trying to get someone from TU to assist you with your concerns. You'll be redirected, put on hold for hours and more frustrated by the end.
I've been a subscriber for more than 5 years and til this day they have not yet updated my score. It's been the same the whole time. Customer service is a joke and the website and app are totally useless. The ONLY reason I haven't canceled my subscription is to have the ability to lock and unlock access. It's honestly a shame that we the people of America are forced to be stuck dealing with such a company for our credit/loan needs.
Horrific service. Account suspended, 3 hours on hold, to get zero help from the call centre. An activation code which suspended the account again, and a message to call customer service. Thanks for wasting my entire day.
I needed to have a loan company run a credit check, they couldn't since one of my accounts was frozen. I checked with experian, no freeze. Equifax, freeze was off. Transunion? No clue! I tried logging in several times and after changing my password again I was able to log in. But that wasn't helpful since the website said they had an error and couldn't see if my account was frozen or not. Also couldn't check my score since they were pushing for me to buy a subscription. Called the support number just to go to a automatic system in which I pressed in all the information it asked for just to be sent to a lady with an incredibly thick Indian accent to repeat the same information again.
Just for her to tell me she has an error on her side for my account as well and that she couldn't help me and gave me a number that I needed to call. I looked the number up, IT WAS THE SAME NUMBER I TALKED TO HER ON. This number had no different extensions for different departments and from how she sounded, i dont think there are any different departments that could help me. So, now I'm stuck with a credit company that I can't even see if my information is frozen let alone actually safe with absolutely no way to sort it out. Compared to experian and equifaxs online and phone service, it was very different and I felt like I was being scammed. Constantly a personal question followed up with, "while I'm pulling your account up can you tell me." over and over. I've never had any customer service system both automated or by a person ask in the way this person was prompted me to ask. It was vastly too similar to all of the scamming videos you see online.
I have been trying to reach them for 5 days now. Do they really have agents at the othe end of the line?
Kept me on hold for 2 hours. I was asked to answer security questions and I could barely understand the person speaking to me and had to spell out my answers multiple times. After the questions they said I failed my own security questions (questions about ME!) and told me to call back after filling out a form. Also charged 50 bucks to do a screening which they never did and I'm doubting based on other reviews if I will ever get a refund on this. Scammy company. Just awful.
These mutha$#*!as won't even let me lock my damn credit. This is a service I'm definitely getting rid of. $#*! TransUnion. Period. Paying for $#*! that don't even work
Broken web. Can't login. I had spend days on calling their support resetting the password. A few days after, I cannot login again.
I called the support to reset my password, and they said I need to wait 24h to get the link. I have never receive this one.
Web chat does not support the Canada area.
They have two different domain managed by different group of people, and I have to contact the right group.
At minimum, I need to spend 30 minutes waiting on them to take my call. Usually, I need to wait for 50 minutes, and one call helping nothing.
TransUnion has by far, the worst customer service I have ever experienced. All of their call center representatives speak very poor English, and you can't understand some of them. I subscribed for Credit Monitoring, at almost $30 per month. They are constantly locking my account for "suspicious activity". I call them, get placed on hold for 30 minutes, go through the verification process, and then they unlock my account. I ask them what the suspicious activity is, and they can't answer me. A few days, later, the account is locked again, and I have to call back in. I'm not going to spend an hour on the phone every week, unlocking my account so I can get alerts. This company is absolutely ridiculous, and it's concerning that such an incompetent organization is in charge of keeping all of our information. My experience with Equifax has been much, much better. Don't waste your time with TransUnion, they're clowns.
Tried opening an account after a data breach and the service was down. Tells me I need to call a specific number to get help and only get the message, "The customer you are trying to reach is unavailable".
I PAID MY US BANK ACCOUNT IN FULL AND THESE MOTHER$#*!ING SONS OF $#*!S ARE SAYING THAT I STILL OWN MONEY TO US BANK WHEN I I KNOW 100% THAT I NO LONGER OWN US BANK WHAT THESE MOTHER$#*!ING SONS OF $#*!S ARE CLAMING
This company is a disaster! Their methods and setup are terrible, making them the worst company around. The credit system in Canada is already flawed, and they make it even worse by taking advantage of the old and easily exploitable banking system. Sure, their employees at Transunion are decent, but the product they're pushing is complete garbage.
And if that wasn't bad enough, even after fixing my account, they still managed to mess things up by adding incorrect information. And get this, it wasn't even my fault! Their staff made the wrong updates, and they couldn't even fix it. Absolutely ridiculous.
We applied for a credit card for my wife, and CIBC refused it, on the basis that some of the information was incorrect on the credit bureau, also on their letter they mentioned TransUnion and provided their contact.
Called TransUnion in order to figure out what could be the issue, and discussed with them about creating the accounts and accessing our information. The agent started saying that it costs 24.95$ in order to have a copy of the disclosure, and only after I pushed back saying that they're asking for money to let me know what my information is, he said that "accessing that part is free, but if you want the full report in the mail you have to pay" - fine.
I create the account for myself, and I get a copy of disclosure. As I'm checking my information I see that my last address was incorrect, instead of Unit being 403, it's 4 - even though my 'previous' address is correct. I see the option of filing a dispute and I do that, it says to upload a document with picture in order to prove your current address, and I submit it.
I receive an email back, saying that my request was refused because at least 2 documents need to be submitted (even though they never mention that anywhere), fine.
I apply again, this time I upload Driver's license and Hydro bill. After a couple of days, I receive another email from them: REFUSED. "Documents that you provided have different addresses". I double checked and they had the same address. Decided to call (this was the third time that I was calling them). I talked to an agent and he said that "you need to write a letter by hand and send it by mail", after I said that this is ridiculous and insisted he checked my file, he accessed and said that "the file is saying your documents have two addresses. I made him access both files that I provided, and he said "looks like it's the same address sir".
Ok, at last they're agreeing that I provided everything they asked. The agent says "We will send you a letter next 3 to 5 days", I asked again to make sure everything will be fixed now. He said doubtfully "We will send you the letter but if you can call again next weeks just to make sure" - I lost my mind, I stated that they better change my information because I'm not going to call again.
It's been a month since that call and nothing yet. Apparently they are trying to get people to subscribe to their 24.95$, and constantly they state that "you have to do this, in order to have access to your information", but after you push back they agree somehow to move on. I see no reason why my address would be wrong and they wouldn't change it, even after I provided the necessary information couple of times.
On another note, my wife's account is not working at all and they're not fixing it. Basically we can't have access to her information. I'm appalled how government doesn't do anything about institutions like this.
TransUnion was requested to run a background check on me as I am cosigner of a loan for my son & daughter-in-law. They carelessly used my incorrect middle name, and the report came back with all sorts of false information. My application was consequently denied. I requested TransUnion to run a dispute claim, and they stated that it would take 30 days. This was way too long for the real estate agency to make a decision.
I'm trying to dispute something and gave them a call just to find out they barely speak English and can't understand, they outsource everyone from India. They will put you on hold just because they don't know what their doing, this really is a joke
This transunion site doesn't remember anything! I can't even get logged in. The system doesn't recognize it. It also gives an error when you try to reset your password! Useless website.
Been trying to order my report the past 2.5 hour...the agents are useless, their chat live agents disappeared on me after having me wait 30 minutes each, their website does not generate a report even though I was able to log in. I still haven't spoken to anyone. This is absolutely not real...it took me a few minutes max to get hold of Equifax and Experian live agents without any issues. Never encountered anything like this. It's cringe
It's just a simple problem that gets my credit report. It took me 4 hours and still haven't got the answer for. They keep transferring my call and then hanging up the phone if they don't know the answer. Extremely unprofessional.
