I called TransUnion this morning (11-11-22) between 11am - 12:30pm about what I believe was an unauthorized attempt to obtain credit using my name and credentials. I spoke with a woman named Dee in their customer service / fraud dept. I was thrilled to actually speak w/a human being, and even happier with the level of service I received from Dee. I'm 59 years old, have had CCs for 40 years and as far as I'm aware, this was the first time someone has tried to steal my identity. Dee was very patient w/my questions and concerns and provided thorough answers as well as reassurances. As a customer, I'm grateful that she's on the TransUnion team - and as a business owner for 19 years before recently retiring I'm sure TransUnion is also very grateful Dee is part of their team. Decided today to request a credit freeze from all three credit agencies due to the recent massive data breach. Managed to place a freeze with Experian and Equifax online in less than 2 minutes each. After 5 attempts with TransUnion, where I was repeatedly thrown off of their website, I decided to call customer support. I've now been on hold for 20 minutes. Added bonus...you have to press hold every 30 seconds to stay on the line. Sorry dudes, you suck. Now I'm gonna select 2 for a call back. What do you think the chances are that that will ever happen?
I have been trying to reach them since last 3 weeks just to update my address on their profile showing wrong.Everytime I Called them they are redirecting me to their website and I told them it's not even working. Then, they said it's under maintenance and I asked them since last 3 weeks; is it under maintenance from last 3 weeks they hung up on me. They are not really helpful. It's really frustrating and really they need to update their website or give other online solutions to clients so that they are not just waiting on the phone for so long and then our issues they just left unresolved
I have been trying to contact TransUnion for 3 days. Live Chat never gets answered. Phone call means being on hold for over 1.5 hours and still no one answers the phone. If this is a company that is supposed to be relied upon for credit scores or to register with Mytrueidentity leaves little room for comfort. This company should get the award for worst service ever. And I gave 1 star because it wouldn't allow zero.
Kept me on hold for 2 hours. I was asked to answer security questions and I could barely understand the person speaking to me and had to spell out my answers multiple times. After the questions they said I failed my own security questions (questions about ME!) and told me to call back after filling out a form. Also charged 50 bucks to do a screening which they never did and I'm doubting based on other reviews if I will ever get a refund on this. Scammy company. Just awful.
All the rest of my credit check is high and good it's showing me I'm making process but this TransUnion suck it doesn't help me no kind of way it's giving me a real hard time for me to get anything because of this instead of helping you they damn you
If any support is needed, they are totally unreachable. First of all there are NO email addresses to contact them and NONE of the phone numbers they provide actually work. I know that sounds incredible, feel free to try it. NONE of them work.

This company is a disaster! Their methods and setup are terrible, making them the worst company around. The credit system in Canada is already flawed, and they make it even worse by taking advantage of the old and easily exploitable banking system. Sure, their employees at Transunion are decent, but the product they're pushing is complete garbage.
And if that wasn't bad enough, even after fixing my account, they still managed to mess things up by adding incorrect information. And get this, it wasn't even my fault! Their staff made the wrong updates, and they couldn't even fix it. Absolutely ridiculous.
I was tricked into subscribing their service when applying for a pre-approved loan online. I was charged on the 7th day regardless of what time I subscribed to the service, according to the rudest representative and even they didn't send me any notification before they charge me. Feedback regarding their support is that they are a joke, there's no online support nor email support. You have to call in and they will verify it with you by asking your social security number, seriously? And after that, full name, dob, email. That's such a red flag to me.
Ever since i got a car, paid off a huge old debt, and got a credit card, my score has gone down. Never late on any payments ever and they drop my score by 40 points bc im using a bigger % of my $360 dollar limit (SECURED!)credit card. Like, are you kidding me!?!?!? You want me to calculate and make sure i get my limit up to 10% or something!?!? So i need to buy juuuuuust enough stuff to get my balance up to 36? I can not believe this bologna. Not to mentioning why it did not even move after i got a car loan, made every single payment on time, then settled a $2k debt. The past 3 years I have been doing everything perfectly and my score has only ever gone down. Completely ridiculous
It's crazy the way they score. If you use your credit card, they immediately knock off 11 or more points. But when you pay it off, it only moves up 1 or 3. It's like they want you to stay at a certain credit score.
I had an issue with logging to my account, I called them around 6 times and each time I talked with a customer service that took all my information and at last told that we cannot solve your issue. At last, I asked to talk with the supervisor and somebody very rude took the phone and gave me a phone number to call to solve my problem. But the phone number that he gave me was a medical centre! I wonder why ALL agents were Indians with very heavy accents! It is very strange for a company to hire only from one nation!
I went into the bank, with lots of money, they ran my credit and give me a paper with a number to TransUnion saying that they can't help me. I went directly to the car called the TransUnion number and they tell me that they can not give me any information or help me fix whatever problem they have with me on my credit. Waste of time! Worthless company that has access to all of my information but can't help correct issues.

I called them on behalf of my mother, and she gave them the clearance for me to speak for her. Considering the fact she is disabled. And it's hard for her to speak. I asked to speak to her manager or someone who's higher in authority, and the lady was rude! She was being condescending. I didn't even finish the call I hung up. They need better customer service representative! I'm appalled
Nothing, they give you a bad score, I do not remove the items or things you ask of them. And they are always incorporating information or things in your report to give you a lower score rating. Compare transunion to the others and understand what I am saying.

I tried calling all different phone numbers:
*******4293 - They always say the website is with a lot of traffic and to wait and try again (I called and talked with over 10 agents!)
*******7655 - I called over 5 times, and they could identify the issue, but send me back to the number below to troubleshoot
*******597 - Called over 10 times, and they tell me to call the number above.
I an paying the subscription service just to have the WORST customer service ever!

I monitor my credit. Today my score went down six points for an inquiry for an American Express card, which I was approved for $10,000. Last month my score went up seven points for paying down six loans paying off three credit cards, having an inquiry for a new car purchase removed from my profile. You see where I'm going with this? Seven points up for all of that, and six points down for one inquiry. This is utter bull$#*!. And this company should be shut down. My Equifax score is 40 points higher than TransUnion. They get the same information. Yet I get this baloney from TransUnion. This company should be disbanded and jailed.

I used Transunion about 6 months ago to check my 'free' credit report. I received an email from them today inviting me to log in to check my report. Navigating around the site I noticed that I have been paying for 'orders' every month. I tried to cancel through their chat feature and wound up with rude Melony who had me on hold and scolded me for my impatience. I asked her 3 times to cancel my account. I have to call on Monday to make sure it's canceled.
I been monitoring my credit for last 2 years and I realize transunion cant wait to report bad things and when it's something good they try to drag for months! I paid off one loan almost 3 months ago and it's on every other credit reporting agency paid off only on transunion it's still balance from 3 months ago! I wish I can opt out from their service
Finding anyone with comprehension is a task and they are literally zero help. How in the world can anyone let them or the others control our world with the almighty 'credit score' when the are FN clueless. They are rocking my world with something that is their issue and there is absolutley no way to get to a living breathing soul who can help.
I tried to set up an account online, big mistake! Won't accept birth date and just spins. Left 0000 and then year but couldn't log in. The site kept prompting for payment but I don't buy crap.
Don't try calling until you have some vodka, the automated system doesn't understand anything except I want my report. Once you do get there it keeps asking if you want to buy your score and press 2 for no only gets the question over and over. At this point I just pressed *******222 whereupon it said it would connect me to a live person, which didnt happen. This is the worst and I can't belive anyone would still be using TU.

Get drunk or take some Xanax you'll be here a long time. Is it worth freezing the credit report if you have Lifelock? Maybe not with this much trouble

Spoke to 2 customer service agents about information that they'd given to my insurance company. My boat insurance increase by 500 dollars for the years because TransUnion gave a negative view. When I called them they advised that my credit was perfect with no flaws. I ask them to notify Geico Marine insurance of the information given to the by mistake. They advised no they couldn't. I stated if it's your mistake they said we have no data of giving this info out. I asked a supervisor and the agent said no need they will give you then same info I gave you so you're wasting your time. They second agent advised same and the hung the phone up in my ear. I was polite with no aggregation in my voice during the whole call.
I had to give a star becaus 0 was not possible. With 12 phone transferes over 2 hours on the phone,I still did not get an awnser to my question. Oh ya for an awnser you must send a letter. Who sends letters in 2023.

Very misleading in their marketing! Went back to them for the third year for my credit report review and then canceled the same day. I noticed the $30.00 charge on my credit card a month later. When I called I was told there was nothing I could do and no one I could talk to - Their program had changed and I wasn't understanding their changes when I ordered the reports the same way I had the for the past 2 years.
This is a Very Very bad company! Stay away!

Broken web. Can't login. I had spend days on calling their support resetting the password. A few days after, I cannot login again.
I called the support to reset my password, and they said I need to wait 24h to get the link. I have never receive this one.
Web chat does not support the Canada area.
They have two different domain managed by different group of people, and I have to contact the right group.
At minimum, I need to spend 30 minutes waiting on them to take my call. Usually, I need to wait for 50 minutes, and one call helping nothing.

This company is pathetic and apparently no one there knows what the hell they are doing. I get updates all the time from my Bank and Experian about my credit score and it is always around 677 but I just refinanced my new truck and the bank said Transunion score is 636 (what the f- - -) is with this company? If they can't keep better records that they need to close down. I printed out my free credit report from Transunion and there is (33) inquiries on my credit report I don't even know who they are so when I go on Transunion to file a dispute guess what says the site is not working ( how convenient) The problem here is when you buy something or apply for credit the score they go buy is Transunion. This company needs to be restructured NOW...
I initially signed up for a one time/one day service. Then I Saw that I was being charged every month $19.95. Called to Cancel the account and the rep was suppose to cancel the service and he did not. Called back today and spoke to Ed-#6686. He was rude and disrespectful and did not provide me with the information I asked for. Constantly over talked... just rude. I asked for a Supervisor and he told me nobody was available and he could not hold while I wanted to wait. He hung up on the call. Called back spoke to Sonia-#4082... made a Complaint about Ed. Then requested her Supervisor. Now I am waiting on a callback. It is not worth this frustration.
