“Thanks for free bracelet”

Frances V.
6/19/20

I would like to say, thank you to TreeHugger, for letting me cancel my order due to financial issues and then for sending me a bracelet for free, because I really believe in their cause. Emily is a lovely lady who was prompt in answering my questions and very understanding. I will use them again in the future, Frances

“AVOID!”

Total scam. Ordered bracket 3 months ago as was touched by the borrow the Australian people and animal kingdom faced. Never felt so stupid. Bracket has never arrived and I can't even get logged into the website to check delivery. Clearly a scam. Feel very annoyed at myself for being sucked in. Never again. Don't make the mistake I made! Do not order from this website.

Gruvy site. I find so many neat things here, from amazing architectural designs to future looking automotive concepts. Always fun to scroll through the articles. This is probably my favorite info site. :)

It is quite pretty and I will enjoy wearing it but having to wait over 3 months for it to be delivered, that is unacceptable. I feel they need to be honest with their customers. I received lots of emails saying it was on its way, when it obviously wasn't. But it is here now so my patience did pay off...

Ordered bracelet back in Feb 2020 for a birthday present

Have had various emails saying it was on its way. Now 3rd of May and guess what... still no bracelet. Like everyone else was very keen to donate to the tree planting scheme. I will never respond to a Facebook ad ever again. And the final nail in the coffin, another email today asking if I wanted to order more products... it would be nice if the initial product had turned up.

I ordered two bracelets long ago but it was before the Covid-19 appeared. So I was very patient waiting for my parcel to arrive. I finally got it two days ago, but what a surprise! It came straight from California and there was only one bracelet inside! Where's the other one!? Shall I ever receive it!? A bit disappointing because in the end I've paid one bracelet the cost of two of them...

Having purchased a bracelet from Tree Huggers to help the Koala Bears... I'm very Disappointed that after waiting 3 months for the bracelet to arrive I'm then hit with a further charge of £11.40 which I have to pay UK post office to release my delivery.
After contacting Tree hugger they said they are not responsible for this charge and it does state this in the small print!
If this is highlighted at the payment page I would not have ordered ( I wish I'd just made a donation now to a true charity)

Very Disappointed.

I ordered my 3 bracelets at the beginning of February and they arrived today. Don't look as good as I was expecting but then I did consider the payment as more of a donation to a charity to plant trees. When I ordered I didn't realise the bracelets would be coming from the USA, I assumed I was ordering from the UK or maybe Australia, and really begrudge paying £19.73 customs charge which made the bracelets very expensive.

Please be aware this is a " for profit" business. Not a charity. Nice enough little bracelets. But very overpriced in my opinion even with the tree planting element. I've purchased very similar before from other sellers at a fraction of the price. If you take the time to look at "shipping" in their blurb it does say... May incur customs charges. I hadn't looked at that as actual shipping was included. The bracelets took ages to arrive and did so in the middle on the coronavirus pandemic. I got a card from the post office to say that I had a package to be delivered that required customs payment. I couldn't think what it was but felt I should just pay online and have it delivered. It was the 3 bracelets. I'd to pay £17.69 customs charges. And I don't even know where the trees are being planted. I'd rather have bought cheaper bracelets and donated to charity. I'll be more careful in future

Do not buy from these people. They are not based in australia. They are in the US. i waited months for 2 bracelets but when they arrived in the uk the post office wanted almost £15 in customs fees. I emailed treehuggers. Was told the fee was mentioned in the small print. I asked for a refund.as i felt my items had been missold. They refused. I refused to pay the customs fee. I have very little money and had ordered the bracelets as gifts. I am feeling very ripped off. I shall do my homework with this type of thing in future.and no trees will ever be planted, i'm certain of that.it is akin to a scam!

After waiting months for my bracelet order, I finally get a letter from my post office saying that they cannot deliver them as there is a customs charge on them of more than what the bracelets cost. It's one big con so DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY

I ordered 2 braclets on 8th Feb nothing to date. They offered refund on one brackel nothing to date. Replies to emails but nothing done. To date no refund no bracelet. The order was placed before pandemic really hit. All they say is in transit but royal mail doesnt recognise the code.
Very disappointed I thought it was for good cause!

I ordered in January 2020, long before anything COVID... now it is the end of April 2020 and still have not received product, furthermore, the company stopped communications with me all together, not even empty promises anymore. BEWARE... this company is FRAUDULENT!

First, it took over 2 months to receive the bracelets from when I ordered them. Right away, I contacted the company and said that they were too small. They gave me the option of 1) returning them, with me paying shipping costs or 2) keeping them and receiving a 50% refund. I chose Option 2 and received an email from the company specifying the amount of the refund. I have emailed them numerous times because I haven't received my refund. Each time, they respond quickly with apologies, but that my request has to be elevated to a manager or a different department. Was even told once that the refund had been approved, but still haven't received it. As other purchasers have stated, this company is NOT in Australia and the Truth in Advertising website notes that planting a tree after the devastating fires cost only $1. Treehuggers does NOT plant the trees and the nonprofit organization they had contracted with has cut ties with them. They are a SCAM corporation that pretends to be an environmental group. Do not buy their bracelets!

January 28, I ordered a bracelet and still haven't received it nearly 3 months later.
When I contact them they email me very quickly with apologies but nothing happens.
Later I received a message that it would have been sent to my home address. I got a number from UPS. But they don't know anything about that. The number does not provide any information there. Now they respond as if nothing is wrong and that I have to be patient. That medical equipment takes precedence when shipping from UPS
I do not believe in it anymore. I have lost my money and I am very, very disappointed:(

Recently I was banned from their Facebook page Treehuggers because I was too critical of the delivery of their bracelets. Now it also appears that the same bracelets that Treehuggers sells for 17.95 euros are also for sale at AliExpress for a fraction of the price. $ 1.79. Who's the scammer here now? A lot of people still haven't received their bracelets after months of waiting. They respond immediately to your question where the bracelet is. That all seems very nice and customer-friendly. You will then receive a UPS code and you will receive all kinds of answers that are of no use to you. I would have loved to support burning Australia. But now it turns out that the owner just lives in Florida.
(United States) and 4 people manage the page. 2 people in the United States, 1 person in Israel and 1 person in the Philippines. No Australia, I am very curious where all that money goes.

I ordered three bracelets from Tree Huggers on 25th February 2020 and I have just received them today. 29th May 2020. To make matters worse, I was also presented with a bill for £17.25 customs duty! This is not made clear at the time of ordering. I only ordered these to try and help the koalas in Australia but I would have rather given the money direct to a charity. My advice to anyone is - DON'T ORDER FROM TREE HUGGERS. IT IS A RIP OFF.

Ordered a bracelet Jan 29th, still hasn't arrived despite several emails which initially weren't responded to.
Then about a month ago I received an email thanking me for purchasing a bracelet and notifying me that a tree had been planted.
I immediately responded saying I was very surprised to receive the thanks when I hadn't even received the product nor had the decency of replies to my previous emails and wanted my money back.
Interestingly I got an immediate response saying they were sorry for the delay, demand was high and the Coronavirus was having a massive impact but rest assured my bracelet would be on its way shortly.
A week or so later I received a message to say the bracelet had been shipped, then nothing.
Until today when I get a card from the post office to say they can't deliver an item as there is a customs charge to pay of £11.40, more than the cost of the bracelet!
I echo what all the other reviews say and warn people not to be taken in by this scam.
Its very sad that there are people out there preying on people's good intentions at time of crisis. I wish I had just donated to charity direct.

So disappointed. Ordered 6 bracelets in Feb for myself, 2 daughters and a couple of birthday presents. Was told there would be a small delay of 3 weeks as everyone was so concerned about the plight of the koalas. After 6 weeks the bracelets were finally dispatched. Did not arrive. Treehuggers customer services were TOTALLY DISINTERESTED. Told me to contact the postal company myself. Finally they sent me a tracker number. This did not exist. Then they sent me another tracker number so I could still try to find my parcel myself. They basically told me it was no longer their problem as they had dispatched it. Finally I was told my parcel had a further charge to pay before Royal Mail would deliver it. This was £30! I queried this with Treehuggers, who with their usual total distain for the customer said it was quite clear on their website. I would suggest that they need to make it clearer that the customer is to be charged x10 the postage price in duty, not just say that there may be an extra charge. THIS IS MEANT TO BE A CHARITY doing good, not conning unsuspecting people. THEY ARE A DISGRACE.
