“Triangl-the best site for swimsuits”

Mara G.
7/11/20

When seeing all of these reviews, you think the worst of Triangl. I was in the same situation, but I was so wrong and got so scared after reading these, but for nothing, everything was at superlative. Made 3 orders, purchasing 6 beautiful swimsuits, they came in their bags and all of them are such great quality. Everyone is complaining about delivery, but mine have been delivered within a week which was absolutely surprising and amazing. Thank you so much Triangl for the best service and the most gorgeous swim pieces. Highly recommend them.

“Return process is hell”

Lauren C.

Do not order from this company. The size guides online are terribly misleading. Based on measurements that I triple checked I ordered the size corresponding to my measurements. Once the bathing suit arrived it was TINY and did not match up with the measurements for the online size guide. I submitted a return request, I was required to pay $30 CAD shipping to send the package. After weeks I received an email claiming they received the package and would refund my money. They refunded the initial price of the bathing suit but not the GST that I paid directly to them at the time of checkout. I understand not refunding duties and taxes paid to the delivery service/customs on delivery but refusing to refund a GOODS tax that was paid directly to them once the goods are back in their possession is unheard of.

I ordered a bikini from Triangl recently. Everything seemed great-came in on time, right suit, etc, but then I tried it on. Online, a sales associate told me that they would not give me the actual volume of a cup or the size of a band, but that the swimsuit I ordered, a small ++, was about a 34DD. When I got the suit, it didn't even come close. After comparing it to my 34DD swimsuit and multiple different bras, it filled in about half of the cup. I also compared it to my sister's 34C cup, and it fit almost perfectly. It is literally three sizes smaller than they say, and they are still making me pay the return shipping fee to hong kong. The size issue is absolutely ridiculous - they grossly misinformed me and are forcing me to pay for it. Though it they aren't responsable for those fees in the terms in conditions, I agreed to those assuming they wouldn't blatantly lie to me about what size of this expensive swimsuit they were sending me. Absolutely ridiculous. Don't buy swimsuits from them-you can get similar styles at more reliable stores and websites that will give you actual help.

I checked for reviews of the styles and fit, along with photos of the bikinis being worn on social media before making a purchase. I selected two of the velvet bikinis in different styles. I sized up, as I was aware the tend to run small. The size combination I needed was sold out of one of the styles wanted, so I used the chat feature on the website to ask if they could double check inventory before I placed an order. They were able to push a manual order through with the size selections, I received both bikinis very quickly. The customer service was amazing, even with the special ordering. The quality of the suit is great, they are both easily the most comfortable swim suits I have ever owned. I will order again without hesitation. The shipping charge is high, so I wait until there are at least two I want and then I order. I live in south Florida so its bikini season all year round. The velvet fabric is holding up great with the salt water, I do wear them to snorkel and free dive. I also wear them to lay/swim by my pool and the chlorine isn't messing them up. I also rinse after each use, and lay flat to dry. I highly recommend this brand. For reference: I am 145 pounds, 5'4, I wear size 28 jeans and small tops or 34C bra. I ordered styles Camille and Raine both in large top and bottom. The bottoms fit great, the tops are just slightly too large, The Raine has adjustable straps so it worked out great, the Camille is not adjustable so the straps are loose, but not so bad that I felt I needed to exchange and pay the extra shipping costs. I did just order the Ariel in medium top and large bottom, I thinking this will be better fit for the top. I can't wait till it gets here :)

Had the most awful experience with Triangl Bikinis I will never buy them again. On top of $20 shipping (already SO much money), it took them over 3 weeks to get here because the package was held up at US Customs at FedEX for over a week - Triangl was NO help with this and I had to fill out FIVE different forms with FedEX to release the package. Then, when I needed to return the bikinis, Triangl took over a WEEK to give me the return information. But the worst and most insane part of all of this. - I just got a bill for $346.26 FROM FEDEX TO PAY FOR THE SHIPMENT AND CUSTOMS OF THE BIKINIS FROM CHINA! I messaged Triangl and was like is this serious - I would have never bought your bikinis if I knew I would be charged over THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS FROM FEDEX and WHY did you not tell girls in the US THIS BEFORE THEY BUY THEM? And they simply said essentially they had nothing to do with it and they put in their small print when you buy it that you might have to pay taxes to customs. THREE HUNDRED AND FOURTY SIX DOLLARS?

Do NOT order from this company. They will take forever to give you a "Return Authorization Code" and then they make you pay to return.

After only keeping one item (of three) that I ordered, Triangl still left me with the import tax for ALL THREE (which was 25%- almost $100).

Verified purchase

It's clear they made their return policy to trick people into getting stuck with their swimsuits as soon as they make a purchase. You have 14 days to request a return, must GET APPROVED and given a return authorization code, pay to ship it back, and must get it to them 14 days after getting their approval email with the code. From there they inspect your return and decide whether to give you a refund, and you must have filled out a special card with certain information AND KEPT EVERYTHING IN THE ORIGINAL PLASTIC PACKAGING. That's right. There must be no evidence that you tried anything on, so don't rip into the plastic packaging for each piece - delicately open it in case you have to close it back up again and make it look like nothing was opened. If they have deemed your return acceptable, you are refunded the price of the swimsuits but not the $20 flat rate shipping or the $15-20 it cost you to ship it back. If you're unsure if a swimsuit will fit you, ask yourself if it's worth paying the $35-40 you will never get back... or worth the risk of them rejecting your refund and getting not only stuck with everything if it's clear you tried it on but also the extra cost of shipping it to them and them shipping it back to you after rejection.

And there's no guarantee things will fit you right if you have any curves. I measured myself and went by the size guide (I'm 5'6" and usually a size 4-6, size C cup, and a big butt), and it was clear that no matter how much I sized up the bottoms in particular were never going to fit me like they looked on the model. If you think something looks high cut on the model, it will likely rest under your hip bones on a normal body and look very unflattering.

Additionally, the quality is horrible. The two swimsuits I got that appeared sparkly were a very uncomfortable and itchy material. The other swimsuit I got that appeared velvety was flimsy with no lining or pads or anything on the top at all. The swimsuits ship from China, so it's clear they are masquerading as a luxury Australian brand but in reality are a Shein-style sweatshop making cheap products in a completely other country/continent. The only difference is they're charging $80-100 each swimsuit.

Do. Not. Buy. A. Suit. From. This. Company.

I admit it, I fell for the good marketing, those lovely colors that looked stunning on those suuuuuper skinny pretty models, etc.

First horror, the sizing! Their sizing chart is completely wrong, unless you like your clothes to be so tight that they restrict your airflow. I know how to measure myself very well, and ordered 8 pcs of swimsuits in the first shot to try on and return what I didn't like. Besides the fact that I paid 250USD in customs for that, not a single piece fit even remotely. I weigh 56kg, at a height of 163cm, average built... but not even Medium would fit me (as per the chart I would have been a size small). So I had to return all 8 of them and requested 3 new styles in bigger sizes.

4 weeks later the new shipment came, again I was not 100% happy with the new sizing (seems I need XXL for my gigantic body!) but after paying customs duty again I was ready to surrender to the fight and just try wearing them.
I started wearing the white terry cloth suit first. After a visit to the pool, I hand-washed it in the sink, and hung it to dry. It had turned a completely greyish shade, and the fluffiness of the terrycloth was completely gone, it had turned into a scruffy old towel from my grandma's.
The worst part was a bright pink suit with yellow polka dots. I took it on a holiday to the Maldives, a 4 day trip. Admittedly, this one was the most comfortable one, so I really wore it 4 days to the pool and ocean. When I got back and hand-washed it. While trying to put it back into its bag, I noticed it did not have the same color shade as the bag (made from the same material) anymore. The color vibrancy had totally vanished. What the heck... wasn't the material supposed to withstand sun exposure and getting wet?!

But the worst of all is the customer service! If it was permissible, I would copy-past the reply of theirs here for proof. In essence, I got a "upsi, we put effort into our products, bye" reply from their customer service.
Ladies, spend your money elsewhere, where you get something in return for your $ and where you are treated nice!

Tip for consumers:
order minimum 2 sizes up of your normal size and don't expect to wear this suit more than 1 season or 1 holiday, so you won't be dissapointed

I have ordered online from many stores before which had easy returns/exchange processes so I was unpleasantly surprised by how difficult the process was with Triangl. I never write reviews on any companies but felt prompted by my experience to write one here.

The bikini I ordered was gorgeous but the top was too small, so I opted to size up, thinking it would be a simple exchange. The top I wanted to size up to was out of stock, so I was told to basically pick out a different style that was in stock and exchange the entire set.

While this wasn't the ideal solution I was okay with it. When I picked the new style, I was then told that the sizes I'd picked were running low in stock and that there was no guarantee that they would be in stock by the time they received the set I wanted to exchange, so I was then prompted to select ANOTHER style or buy the style I wanted to exchange to (with the shipping cost waived) and send back the original for a refund.

When I went back on the website, I noticed the top that I had originally wanted to size up to was actually in stock because I was able to select it as an option. I took a screenshot and pointed this out to the returns staff about why I could select the size if I had been told that it was out of stock and they have not responded to me. This left me quite frustrated because I felt like throughout this whole experience, that customer service wasn't trying to be helpful.

Finally, after buying the new set, I was able to receive my RA number to "authorise" my return. (I'm not sure why there is even a need to "authorise" a return?) I was then told to send a snap of the postage receipt when the return was sent off and that returns could only be processed within 14 days of being provided an RA number. I'm not sure why this timeframe exists and I'm not sure if it applies to international customers, but if it does, it adds to the impression that the policy exists to make things as difficult for the customer as possible.

With that said, if you get your sizing right on the first go, then great! But if you're not sure, you'll probably be better off buying both sizes and refunding one, then going through exchanging. But if that's what you're resorting to, then there are probably many better swimwear companies to shop at.
