Got trapped into a further years subscription at a 60% price hike. Didn't receive renewal prices until i was inside the 30 day cancellation period, enabling them to charge whatever they wanted. Avoid!
Anyone believing Trustpilot is a legimit review site should educate themselves. They will, and have, placed numerous obstacles to my recent service quality complaint against e-ita. Even after providing them with copies of the correspondence they have deleted the authentic review. Hopefully others will see Trustpilot for the scam it is and no longer use their fraudulent site.
The ironically named Trustpilot is a total sham. You are not permitted to list the names, titles or even the initials of any company representatives that you interacted with during the course of your experience with a given business. All of this information is public and yet they don't permit you to share it. Remove it, however, and your review may be declined because you can't prove that you had dealings with the business you're reviewing. Of course your review may be hidden or deleted for a variety of other reasons as well - all of which exist for the sole benefit of the business. The end result is a heavily censored collection of reviews that fail to paint a complete and accurate picture of the collection of personal experiences consumers have had with a given business.
Wrote an honest review about my experience with company travelup. Guess what they removed it. It was a honest account detailing my experience and advice it others. I've heard they get paid by companies to pull down bad reviews. Me thinks it's true. I reposted on sitejabber and review is still up. Well done sitejabber
I lost £400 to a company that had excellent reviews. After having a bad experience and leaving a bad review. The company flagged up my bad review and trust pilot removed it without hesitation. I tried many times to have the review reinstated. I even contacted trustpilot. And they refused to provide me with a reason of why my review was removed.
Trust pilot is the biggest scam on the internet. They remove bad reviews and only show the good and not so bad ones. And companies have to pay to be member. If all they let all thier members receive bad reviews. They'd be out of business.
It's not in thier best interest to let thier member have damaging bad reviews.
Very good alternative resource for consumers to provide real feedback on traders, and importantly, unlike some other 'review' websites do not remove feedback that a trader does not like. They also allow feedback for any trader or company and do not limit feedback only to consumers who have had direct dealings with the trader/company or to traders that have paid to be listed on what is effectively a 'fake' review site, but in reality is a trader promotion listing site.

I started to sign up & unfortunately gave them my email address, then decided, "I better research these guys". Well, in the middle of research, the emails started coming and never stopped (to sign up) and "all the benefits" yada yada yada. This is the type business I learned (as a child) of which to steer very clear. Now if I can just get them to stop writing all that stupid spam. Amateurs it seems.
They only post what the company that gets the review let's them post they must have some kind of deal worked.out with these companies.get.paid off or whatever is going on. When I post bad reviews about big.companies they will not post them.and call me a liar, small sites or companies they could.care less. So you only get to.see what they want you to see so the sote is BS based on that I don't trust it anymore.

I recently used trustpilot to write a review of an online donations company. They requested proof of direct contact between myself and the donations company. There is no good reason for them to do this, since my word is sufficient, and my data is not theirs to record.
After a year since posting initial reviews, my reviews of eBay and Trustpilot on Sitejabber have around 10.8k views (from 7.8k), and on Trustpilot they have 624 views (from 604, that is 624 views for both Trustpilot, Kucoin and another company). What is going on?
Much the same as many other reviews, I called out a scam company on TP. The reviews were so obviously fake that it was a joke. TP are encouraging scams by bombarding people who try to warn others with endless emails, clearly trying to get bad reviews removed. The company will continue to scam the vulnerable thanks to TP. If it wasn't so serious it would be a joke. No wonder they are not based in the UK, presumably to avoid our legislation.
Every year Trustpilot gets worse and worse, first they started with review verification and automatic review deletion, now a business can just remove and delete your reviews about them, at any time, for any reason. So your negative review about that business which defrauded you? Yeah, its gone. Big Business wins, you lose.
Tip for consumers:
Dont use Trustpilot, maybe use this site instead when your looking for reviews.(sitejabber.com)
After receiving a defective product I left a 2 star review on their trustpilot page. The owner flagged my review and wanted proof of purchase. After providing everything I could to prove I have purchased the product my review was taken down. Companies can literally take down any review they do not like.
I recently posted a review on trustpilot about dyson, without any contact they removed my review within one day due to integrity issues, no contact with me or request for details, and then couldn't be bothered to answer my complaint, I have deleted my account as I don't trust trustpilot anymore
I tried to get a phone line suspend but they told me as of April 2018 they would know longer suspend a phone line for you. I told them that since I pay my bill I should be able to do what I want with my line. They said that from now own the only way they will do that is if your phone has been lost or stolen! This is a mess. I did not sign a agreement for that# Not Happy
There is a big variant between those that pay Trustpilot and those that do not! Not my words theirs. Trustpilot is rapidly becoming Don't trust there reviews. They position themselves above reviews that have a great deal of disparity. If you have a problem with a company or companies and check reviews Trustpilot have them with a high review and then scroll down and check reviews from an independent non profit making review site and guess what, its as you would have expected negative.
I do not trust Trustpilot and the name is miss leading. If you do not believe me, next time you have a bad experience with poor service check all reviews. Greed is a temptation even for those who are supposed to be trusted!
Tip for consumers:
Check ALL reviews and trust the independent non profit making ones first

I seriously can't believe a company like this is allowed to exist. I can't even believe someone gets paid to spent weeks coming up with excuses to block legitimate reviews, it's kinda pathetic. Why do they even exist then? What are they just money laundering?
I left a review and they gave the company my contact info so they could get in touch with me which I thought was not good practice at all. Then harassed me for trying not sending them proof about my claim which it was for a career website so not sure how to verify my claim when I had a poor experience. I finally told them to take the review down because they wouldn't stop harassing me about it.
The businesses pay for falsely high ratings. It's a sham, just like Yelp.
This site used to be good, now they are just shaking down companies for money to have faux high ratings and delete the actual bad reviews. That's a shame.
This company asked me to provide proof of receipt for the crappy company I reviewed a year and a half after I purchased the product! Who keeps documentation for a year and a half? They said if I didn't provide it they were removing my bad review. They are just as bad as the shady business that ripped me off!
Trustpilot suspended my account claiming that I fabricated my reviews when I did not. I only write negative reviews of companies because I should not give 5 stars when good service is to be expected. I learned my account was suspended after months of not paying attention to my email and trying to log in to the account. I only wrote 2 reviews so they do not have a lot of reviews to claim was false. I am trying to appeal but I do not think they will. I have finally replied to their email and tried to put a ticket in. I will pull screenshots and emails talking to the companies I reviewed as proof should they get back to me. I have replied to their email and am still waiting.
I have been unbanned. They do eventually talk to you so you must show a lot of screenshots to get them unbanned and show proof. The problem is unlike here, Trustpilot does not have any way currently to show proof of using a product.
I wrote a review of a coach trip and they did not like it. I felt it was true/ honest but have been "blacklisted" for telling the truth. I still do not know what offended them. I just wrote coach trips were ok for shorter journeys...long trips can be difficult.
Just want to say amazing amazing customer service was given by esther, my name is ashley burnett and i was completely happy with the fact of the honouring the price i found for cheaper. Fast and very friendly and next time i fly i sill be calling esther at trustpilot.
They remove all my negative reviews so this proves their whole rating system is fake! You can't go by a Trustpilot review when deciding if a business is ok to use. It's so so wrong. It makes a misery of the whole website. Why is it allowed to do this?

I got blocked after posting 2 negative reviews in a row supposedly due to spam. Followed the process they laid out to resolve this and they simply didn't respond to emails.
If they are going to block negative reviewers in this way they themselves should be considered non-independent and hence the reviews they do have as unbalanceds
Tip for consumers:
By all means look but don't assume that you are looking at a balanced review of a website.

Was a reviewer and I had a bad experience with a business that was screwing its customers. I laid out what happened, and made my review showing proof.
The business then gets mad and without any showing that they didn't try screwing me had the review removed.
To me that shows that trustpilot is not a good place to show what is really what. How can you trust any reviews from a site that removes bad ones just because. Moronic.
Thanks
