Got trapped into a further years subscription at a 60% price hike. Didn't receive renewal prices until i was inside the 30 day cancellation period, enabling them to charge whatever they wanted. Avoid!
Companies seem to put their own fake reviews up to drown out the real negative ones and keep their rating average high.
Tip for consumers:
Don't buy there. They have higher pricing than the local store's promo's much of the time. They have no order cancel button which I found out the hard way. Their customer service is rude.

They delete all the real reviews and allow companies to post their own fake reviews. I do not trust them at all
The site is full of fake reviews. The moment you post something honest about a business or service, they will flag you.

I write an honest review of a product on trustpilot. 2 days later, the company I review ask trustpilot to delete the bad review and they did.
WHY WOULD A REVIEW PAGE DELETE REVIEWS?!
Trustpilot gives companies a platform to remove honest reviews and promote requested reviews.
It's a total racket.
Posted a review for Trinty claims who deal with claims for Policy Expert. Review was posted. However the reply from Trinity Claims saying that the building in question did not meet building regulations which I then left a reply to was removed along with Trinity Claims response, this I would not have known if it was not for the fact I went to leave another reveiw for a different company, and can only assume this was due to me pointing out what the building regulations were as my husband is a builder so the building in question did meet regulations. This would have shown anyone looking at the reviews for Trinty Claims that this company needed to be avoided, don't take home insurance out with Policy Expert as this is what you get if you make a claim as well as left with the cost of repairs. Trinty Claims also had another review page on Trustpilot which they had not claimed FULL of bad reviews so in order to get round this they altered the name on a new review page which Trustpilot allowed them to do. Would not trust Trustpilot as they are not for the consumer, would not trust ANY good reviews left on this site. They are for the company's who pay them.

They are a fraudulent and cash-desperate company. They get paid to remove reviews.
Someone needs to file a lawsuit...
Trustpilot removed my review like its fake. That means they removed other people's as well. Trustpilot should not be trusted!
The above doesn't seem to like B & M a few posts now. Wonder if B & M pay for trustpilot services? Maybe you should reconsider.

Should trustpilot bosses post about business

Not so much trusting trust pilot as they paused my comments about fraud go fund me freezing truckers funds Canada. Poor job!
I had left a review on Trustpilot for Alarm.com. Alarm.com called me and said I needed to replace my alarm panel with one of theirs (even though I use ADT) and they said it would be free and that they are the ones that actually make ADT alarm systems - the physical equipment itself. That didn't sound right, so I said "no" and ended the call. I then immediately called the phone number back and it was indeed, alarm.com that called. I then called ADT and they said, "no, they will replace your panel and then they will be the ones charging you - it's a good thing you called me to verify because we get a lot of that."
The next day, a person from alarm.com came out wearing a lanyard and shirt with alarm.com on it, who said the same thing and my RING doorbell camera caught it all. Well I posted a review on Trustpilot who then later emailed me asking for evidence of Alarm.com contacting me. I said, they called me - which is what I initially put on my review. Trustpilot apparently was contacted by Alarm.com to take off the review and they argued it didn't happen so Trustpilot asked for 'proof.'...FROM A PHONE CALL? They didn't realize I had a RING video of the proof so I submitted that. Now, a week later, Trustpilot apparently got paid off to AGAIN say they need more proof as if VIDEO EVIDENCE with sound wasn't good enough and on the video I said they called yesterday too. All on video.
So apparently Trustpilot will just take off any reviews if that company pays them enough. What a scam. Apparently they got their values from Yelp who got in trouble for the same thing. I think a lot of these review / "unbiased" sites are just full of it.
3 years or so all my reviews been removed.
No explanation.
Good bad indifferent, no worse to any others, no bad langauge etc
Reviews ofMercantile organisations,
TP are remaining tight lipped the real reason.
Im effectively blocked at least under that e mail and name.
Cant be bothered to re join they are time wasters expecting me to write
Graduate level prose for free. The cheek! Go get some other mug to write for you and report for free! Not me anymore.
Huh!
Thats how they treat you. Remove everything without explanation.
Not even selected just one button the lot.
I can only think theyve been got at by big plc PR.
Wont work.
Most bad companies are getting INCREASING amounts of bAD reviews
That they deserve.
Some are touching 90% BAD.
Tough.
Its all true.
Before my reviews were removed 1000s people have read them ALL.
Silencing 1 reviewer wont stop a psunami of bad reviews from 1000s
People. Duh.
Why dont they just put cotton floss candy in their ears and a pair of rainbow glasses and sit there chanting-bad companies never make mistakes and cannot exist. Everything in the garden is rosy.
We will not tolerate ANY criticism.
Ive given up on TP I only read them now for a laugh.
Trustpilot is one of those online companies that spends a lot of money to get their website into the top positions when you're searching for reviews of less-than reputable companies to essentially serve as a marketing arm for those companies. If you perform some research of companies that quite clearly have a negative rap with their customers, you'll see mostly positive reviews that don't provide any information about the experience. Anyone that posts a negative review has to go through a difficult process to prove not only that they are who they say they are, but that the events did exist as they claimed to exist. This includes providing documents that one should not be providing to a review website including invoices and personal information.
Before even connecting with the reviewer, they will remove the review automatically and claim that the company you're leaving a review for flagged the review. I know this is automated because it came directly after the review was submitted; outside of the time span a human being could've checked the review. This leads me to believe that they have some sort of relationship with some of these companies to automatically remove negative reviews until the person is able to show a long history of proof about their claims. Even then, the person on the other end has to decide that the information you provide is valid for the review to be put up. However, if companies put up a lot of fake positive reviews, these aren't checked to see if they are spammy in nature. As a result, it is simple to receive a ton of positive reviews to drown out any negative reviews to begin with.
Overall, I would highly suggest companies avoid doing business with Trustpilot and I would highly suggest reviews to simply post on other review websites.
Tip for consumers:
Look for alternatives and do not trust anything from this company.
Trust Pilot accused me of lying. Untrue. Just be wary of their reviews. They only accept what they want to hear.

Trustpilot is one of the best Review centers in the world. I reckoned on what I see there and also Sitejabber.
Removing genuine reviews, not replying WHY. Don't get into that trap. One would not believe that this is possible in 2022. SCAM / FAKE.
I had a bad review about a company endurance warranties I was notified by trustpilot that they were pulling the review due to the fact that that endurance speculated that they had no interaction with an anonymous anonymous reviewer which makes no sense I validate information by sending information to trustpilot to show them that I had a valid interaction with this company and a contract so they would not continue to suspend the review and post it back as lie but they never got back to me it seems that they are being paid by this company with shows a conflict of interest they want to keep the reviews for their particular company that pay into them positive and I used to think trustpilot was a good company but I'm out of the compromised so I would look for other sites to review to get factual representation of the company and negative reviews at any company that has a bunch of positive Group reviews I will be wary of because you also need those negative reviews they don't understand what they're doing what their business model
I recently reviewed a company that has ghosted me after purchase. The company in question to date will not respond to email communication about my purchase which was supposed to be delivered 9/22/2022. Their phone number and chat are automated loops. However Glassesusa did communicate with me through Trustpilot after I left a one star review on my purchase

Hello,
Thank you for answering our request for more information, as we did not have your name, email or order number information here to look into your order with. Please note, that the email you provided us with here is not the email address you used to place your order.
We can see there is an issue with your order stating it is out for delivery since September 2nd. We are investigating and will take prompt action on this. Please look out for an email from us in the coming days.
Sincerely,
GlassesUSA.com
I received this message from them over a week ago and haven't heard from them. I went to their site to check on my order and they cancelled it. No refund which I have requested twice. A quick search and look at negative reviews of Glassesusa shows they do this to a lot of people. I wondered how they have an excellent rating on Trustpilot while taking customers money and not fulfilling the order and now I know. Apparently saying you're going to report a company to the FTC and file a complaint with the BBB is threatening a company and is reason for having your honest review delelted by Trustpilot. It's not a threat if the reviewed company is not acting in good faith which is obvious at this point with Glassesusa. I have included proof of purchase.

TrustPilot is a Very biased service. If a company pays them, they allow this company to hide its bad reviews.
I think the majority of the great reviews are fake. This website removes any genuine negative reviews. Can't be trusted.
Cannot be trusted whatsoever. Completely ignore rationale and always side the the consumer despite lack of evidence and defamatory claims.
I got scammed of $27,500 by PST. NET and trust pilot kept deleting my reviews. I think they were paid by this scam company to delete my reviews.
Joe Lycett pointedly argues against using the site. I submitted my Girotti review and it was removed after the company reported it. Joke.
I wrote a negative review about NZ DVD Shop for ignoring my request for a refund of $250 for a defective DVD boxset and the courier cost(NZ DVD shop had provided the incorrect return shipping address). This was posted on the website. After a few days, I got an email to say they had removed it because they couldn't verify its authenticity. I sent them all the email correspondence between the business and myself, plus the invoice for the DVD box set.
A day later, I received another email telling me their software flagged my review due to usual features (Whatever that means?) They want me to send them my order confirmation, invoice, delivery report or proof of service with www.buydvds.co.nz." The document should show: the name of the business, your name, the date, and a reference number." So I resent all the evidence I sent them the day before.
I sent an email and asked the time frame for them to review the evidence that clearly proves what I wrote in my review was authentic after two days. I have not heard back from them, not even an acknowledgement that they are in the process of reviewing after they received my email attachments.
There are red flags with the Trustpilot website - they request proofs you already sent them, as they don't bothered to read your email and just send out an automatic email template.
Positive reviews can easily be fake as they are not required to be verified, so companies can write reviews to boost ratings.
They ignored emails when you inquired about getting your review restored.
Based on my experience, the Content integrity team has no integrity. A company with integrity will conduct itself professionally. They would read the emails and send a reply addressing your concerns/questions rather than send out email templates asking for documents you already sent to them. They will resolve the problem ASAP. Trustpilot is the exact opposite of a professional company with integrity and competence.
I will warn my friends not to trust their website and definitely not to waste time writing any reviews on their website.
Tip for consumers:
Don't believe all the positive reviews about a company or business on Trustpilot.
TP removed negative reviews and request the customers to provide proof to authenticate their experience, but this is not required for the positive reviews. Therefore it's easy for companies to fake or pay for their positive reviews.
So check other websites on the same company and see if the reviews are consistent.
Trustpilot is paid by the business to bury one star reviews. The site wants documents or anything to get out of publishing your reviews.
