Trymusiclessons is one of a large no of 'middleman' websites operated by one entity, who also tries to be a middleman site for many other areas. That alone is a red flag, just one of them. In general, they really have no clue about marketing. To wit, look at the title of the site - it has no real appeal for the visitor to go in and look further, much less request some sort of music lessons. They allow teachers to submit their profiles for free, but in order to get any leads, if there are any, you have to buy their 'premium' membership. Over 4 yrs in my geographic area, nobody has stepped up and invested their $100-plus every 6 months. Once when they offered a discount for premium, I wrote, asking if they'd provide metrics on no of times the site's visited, no. Of people who've submitted requests for lessons, no of teachers who have brought on students as a direct result. Some girl said that 'they'd get back to me about that', which was in 2014. Unless they simply don't bother to measure their metrics at all, perhaps they just have a really really really low bandwidth to the internet? I don't know. They did send free mbrs some 'leads' that they rec'd, and one was clearly bogus, as I know the teaching space here really well. If you have time to burn, then it probably won't hurt to post your info as a teacher for free, but you won't get anything from it. I'd expect this business model from 9th graders, maybe 8th.
