“Ignorant movers.”

Annomous N.

These clowns are horrible. They moved someone into my complex today. They showed up here not one of them wearing a mask. I asked them to wear one and they told me to f*** off they dont have to. Then for 6 hours they left the common way door open allowing cold air to come in. They were advised by all the current residents to please keep the door shut as we pay to heat that hallway all combined. They again to us to f*** off they can do as they want. Then they cursed out my neighbor when he came home and snapped on them for the way the acted and they call maintenance as claimed they were being harassed. We all have video proof of it. Very unprofessional company. They dont care at all. Cant even follow mask mandates to protect their clients and neighbors of their clients.

My son and his wife booked the Norwalk, Ct Two Men and A truck for their move. Today the movers showed up and refused to wear masks. My daughter in law stated that they went back in their truck and drove away. She called the Norwalk office and was told that they don't wear masks while doing the move and the office then cancelled their move and refunded their money while leaving them high and dry. HOWEVER, when you call any of the TMT offices a whole long spiel message comes on telling about how Covid compliant they are. I called the main office in Lansing, Michigan and was told they don't wear masks. The public needs to know that Two Men and a Truck DON'T CARE ABOUT THE SPREAD OF COVID! Do NOT use these people. I immediately called the mover I used this year and they are moving my son and his wife and YES, they wear masks because as the rep said, it is code and the responsible thing to do.
Horrible company... stay away... stay very far away... did not wear masks, refused to do so and got in their truck and drove away... really? And don't respond you are Covid compliant... you are NOT... am posting this on all social media platforms...
***UPDATE owner responded with more lies saying how the movers are required to wear masks... the movers REFUSED to wear masks and the office stood behind them and cancelled the move... even Angelina at the home office in Lansing, Michigan said they don't have to wear masks... TMT says treat the customer like your grandma... well it's evident they want to kill her...

After using 2 men & a truck, I wish we never used them.
After browbeating is into purchasing their "insurance" policy for $500 they damaged several thousand dollars worth of furniture, Weber grills & walls &! Custom woodwork in the new house.
After being quoted over $4000. To move a total of 4 miles away, they tried to add yet another truck and 2 movers and jack up the cost another $1600. Totally unacceptable.
The move out was no better, when moving furniture out of other property they damaged the walls, basement door & moldings.
We had the final walk thru the following morning and were told that they Weren't going to fix it for at least 2 weeks!
The Weber grill was so mishandled to the point of 1 of the gas burners stopped working/igniting & they dented the stainless steel frame as well.
They are so unscrupulous ( they didn't want to pay to have the grill properly repaired by a factory train tech. But instead tried to pawn off a $200 char broil grill in It's place.
Their customer rep was very rude & unprofessional to the point of exhaustion. When we asked to speak to a Regional Manager to discuss the treatment by the Norristown franchise we were told they weren't going to give us any information on their superiors!

This was my first civilian move, I previous moved 4 times with the Military. I think I was spoiled with my Military moves. The Military would contract private moving company and they would come in one day to packed everything and the next day it was put in the truck and moved. They were very careful with my house hold items, hardly ever had an issue, and if there was an issue it was resolve quickly.
With Two men and a Truck it was totally different. They were not careful with my items.
They took apart and reassemble my bed, but did not want to do the same with my kid beds. They said that it was a liability issue, not sure how much water that holds. What I really did not like was the broken items. They broke pieces off my furniture that were easily fixed, but they did not mention it to anyone. They seem to want to hide it to see if they could get away with it. One item was found out by accident and the others by sound it made when the crash it, they did seem to care what was in their way. They just hit it until it moved. Luckily my wife and I were there, I watched two and she watched the other two. Another thing, they made a whole in the wall with the furniture and covered it up with boxes. In addition, they did not cover up my house hold items for protection.
They were not all bad. I said earlier that we had minor repairs, but they came quick to do the repairs. The repair man told me that he is extremely busy, I mention that if it was because the movers keep on destroying the furniture that they move. He just looked at me and smile.
I am not sure to hate them or accept that this how civilian companies are. I will look for another company if I move again and compare the two.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TWO MEN AND A TRUCK! After my staircase, front door, and new refrigerator accrued damage when I had furniture moved into my house 2 weekends ago, I have had to deal with a huge process of trying to get everything fixed! The contract says that if damage can not be repaired they will either replace or compensate (Actual Cash Value) for the damage. What I have learned is that the industry standard is to compensate $0.60 per pound of damaged equipment. So even though it would cost me $516 to replace the damaged panel on my refrigerator, they want to compensate me $180 at. 60x 300lbs (their estimated weight of my refrigerator). They estimate my door to weigh 150lbs (?- no idea where they got that). So they only wanted to reimburse me $90! It will cost me $217 just to buy the door not including delivery or installation! Not to mention it is painted red and I paid to have a peephole installed. I spoke with someone named Chris at Two Men and a Truck after a frustrating communication with Korey. It was like talking to a brick wall with Chris, and he was no help at all. To say the very least this is not over, but I wanted to make sure that everyone knows the risk they are taking if they choose to do business with Two Men and a Truck! If they damage anything you better hope that it is REALLY HEAVY!

Where to start. I'm DISABLED. They broke my Adjustable Medical bed. REFUSE to allow a claim. They broke things that they weren't moving. They ONLY "worked " in my home and still broke items. They claimed we didn't pay the $375.00 this is why they didn't submit a claim. We provided Bank Statements. Then they came up we owe $700+. For fuel ect. It was a 2 hour job! They left the job, then claimed I didn't sign the papers. We were NEVER sent a Contract as they CLAIMED. ( THEY WERE TOLD TO LEAVE BY A MANAGER) after expressing their work ethics to my husband over the phone ( private conversations). So, they took this a an EXCUSE TO OBTAIN FREE MONEY for a job they didn't complete. If, you are DISABLED BEWARE! They left my bed broke and disassemble. Item were left in unsafe locations. They left my home WORST off stuff sitting doorways. They have not taking ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE of moving a Adjustable Bed and or ORGANIZING lack of skill. They showed NO REMORSE! The COMPANY has not attempted to fix or RESOLVE.

Hired Two Men and a Truck about a month ago. Is the worst experience with a mover I've ever had in my entire life. Originally quoted $600. Based on a four-hour move. When they got there I was watching the move I noticed in the first hour they hadn't accomplished nothing. It seemed like every chance they got they stopped for one reason or another. It took them 5 hours to load the truck they started at 10 in the afternoon and didn't start unloading the truck near night time all they did is kept coming in with a new contract to raise the price of the job. The most pathetic team of movers I have ever seen. I feel scammed by this company. So if you think this is bad already it gets worse. They demanded that one of us leave or they were going to dump our property in the front of the house. This is because they thought we were too loud in our discussion. Me and my wife had had a disagreement earlier and we were sorting through that. Somehow they took offense. One of the gentleman said he was having PTSD because he had just gotten out of a bad relationship. There was no screaming or yelling or violence. Nothing was ever directed towards them. Of course I said no to leaving my own house. At that time my wife contacted a mover she was in contact with prior and he was available. So we told them told them to put the stuff in the carport area and leave. The new movers showed up. Watching them work made me realize just how pathetic Two Men and a Truck were were. No comparison in the work ethic. They made Two Men and a Truck look like they were standing still. But wait it gets worse. In a retaliatory move the workers on Two Men and a Truck call the police. There was no report or taken by police officers They had no issue with us and it was just a waste of their time. Two Men and a Truck workers were long gone when the police arrived of course. Can you say horrible experience I don't think an experience could get any worse. End up costing me $1,300 to do the move I ended up paying Two Men and a Truck $1,000 and 300 to the new moving company. If I had completed the job with Two Men and a Truck it would have cost $1,500. They more than doubled their original offer.

The movers came in with the contact the one that presented read it as if never seen before, which was time consuming while movers waited on this process. I had two stops storage and a home and I identified with first walk thru of what went to each stop one stop at a time so could be placed on truck properly, (no notes were taken so stickers or etc., were available so they came back and asked me at least 10 times does this go 1st or 2nd stop. The workers were very slow in moving things out, talking and seemingly delaying tactics. Also, when time to go they walked thru the truck a couple of times I guess to secure items but seems more of a time staller to me. I had a lamp that was broken and they stated well that kind of lamp we should not have moved it is too fragile of course not until after broken and wanted to only give me $6 for it and wind up taking $25 off of a bill for a lamp my Mom bought me for over $200.00 which I feel at least 1 hour or more was used as stalling. They advised they could dismantle items if needed like beds and desks, however when they arrived they had no tools no Allen wrench of any size or a wrench to remove my washer and dryer which should have been basic tools, I had to provide these tools. I only moved part of the furniture of my home with hopes to move the rest with this company after the sell of my home as well as later when relocating but after this fiasco I will not use them EVER AGAIN and will advised a my friends that are moving soon to not use them due to the excessive waste of time they seem to use as well as the charges are extremely higher than other people I know who have used movers... Would NOT RECOMMEND!

Tip for consumers:
Ask about the time stalling

I recently moved and hired 2 Men and a Truck. I had used them before years ago. NOT the same experience. First, I filled out their inventory list online (i. E. 3rd floor, lvg rm, dng room, 2 bdrms, bikes, the, washer, dryer, etc.) and was given a quote. The day of the move... they show up and 1st complaint... 3rd floor - their list said it was on the 1st! 2nd complaint... there wasn't any furniture on the inventory to move, (wait... WHAT?!), only bikes, the, washer, dryer and boxes... this eas supposed to be a mini move! One of the guys, while probably not happy, was still professional, but the other guy complained so much and ALL day, that I felt like " I " had to keep apologizing... for something that wasn't my fault... although he basically called me a liar about the list of items I listed to move, saying "they would never miss that much"... REALLY?! So, of course the time doubled and so did the cost... then, I had them move ONLY the furniture and large boxes, since they charge $150/hour. Then, the damage at the new house... broke a board off a step inside and scratched the edge of my freshly painted wall by the kichen with the couch... which I now have to repair and repaint! Then, I had to make several more trips in my car moving things AND had to rent a Uhaul the next weekend to 'finish' the move... sigh... Totally worn out and... do you think I got one apology from that company? Not 2... not even One!

I would NEVER hire them again! Beware... they will underquote and overcharge... then make you feel like you did something wrong... when the only thing you did do wrong... was hire them!

I used Two Men and a Truck in Washington DC for just packing services, DON'T DO IT. I was 100% gaslit and they took advantage.
1. When my movers arrived (different company a few days later) before moving any boxes they began to show me that the one piece of tape holding the boxes together was completely open, that the bottom of the boxes HAD NO TAPE so when they lifted all my belongings fell out, and that the boxes were overpacked. When bringing up these issues to two men and a truck I was asked how they could know it wasn't the movers fault (i had video of the boxes on the day they were packed 3 days prior to the movers), that I seemed happy day of so why was I upset now and that the burden fell on my as the customer to in real time life the boxes/check the tape to ensure it was up to moving standards (I am not an expert it is why I hired a PROFESSIONAL packing company). They were only willing to refund me $75 the cost of the materials they brought that I used. They do not care that this level of packing is representative of their reputation.
2. The packers did not bring enough packing material so I had to pay for ubers both ways to go to a hardware store to get more packing materials with one of the movers after they had already taken more time than expected.
3. The packers stated their driving time was much longer than it was and only when pressed on the exorbitant charge did the management check the GPS to change the cost.

Overall, the management spoke to me multiple times. They claimed to make concessions (rectifying their own miscalculations) and fully put the blame on me for their poor quality. My movers asked me if I packed the boxes myself that is how bad this company is.

Hi everyone so this the situation I called this company because I did a move with them in the past and they did good job but seems like they hire people off the streets now I moved out my 3 million dollar condo and I guess they took advantage of me. They gave me a estimate roughly $2000 and when they was done after 2 damn days I get charged $5800 and because they couldn't finish the same day they charged me storage $300 too keep half my stuff overnight I tried talking too manager and he was so rude and the guys didn't know what they were doin didn't know how too put things back together And every time I walk out and walk back in on them they were sitting down on their phone and I told the manager he basically said his guys r hard workers basically calling me a liar instead being professional bout it and saying I'm sorry so when the move was done walls were scratched up everywhere and two mirrors cracked $450 router broken and each mirror was $350 and I told manager bout it he really seemed like a loser or something callin me a liar and saying his guys r the best he has. I don't understand I'm a customer and this a business and y is he acting like he's a street guy. I never been treated like this by a business in my life. I was goin threw hard times at the time my 1 year baby was in the hospital in bad condition he recovered and I also told the manager he didn't care ruthless so he didn't want too pay for anything I got no calls back from him and he hangs up in my face everyone please do not doo business with these gansters FYI they r located in Chicago IL everyone

This company's employees stole my belongings and the owner Greg is not taking responsablity for his employees actions. Bruce, Tyrone and Josh were my movers. I spoke to the owner Greg several times and I filed a police report and he wants to send someone to my home from another office in my area to look thru my belongings, items / boxes just in case I misplaced them. Who does this? They first said they didn't see one item and I pushed the issue then he saiid oh yea we had it but not sure where they put it so I can look in the garage we may have put it there they weren't sure. So to appease me they said they would send me a check for the stolen item and when I contacted them about other items missing a whole BOX they avoid my calls with excuses and play phone tag. Greg insists his workers are HONEST and he believes them over me he said. I and my neighbor watched them put these items in their truck and now they have vanished! Duh... Really... And then I gave them a $20.00 tip each and you steal my belongings. I notified them 2 days later of the theft and to no avail 1 month later no success. I will file a report with the Better Business Bureau and I told the owner I would. As a customer I have done my part. As a businessman he should do the right thing to rectify the wrong his people have done to the customer. When you entrust your personal belongings to someone you don't expect them to blatantly seal fro you and your not supposed to notice. But since he is not willing to do so I am writing this post. If it happened to me i know it has happened to others and it will definitely happen again. I just want the owner to take responsibility and make things right.
The location was: 854 Kingswood Drive
Conway SC *******. I will NEVER refer Anyone to this company.

When it comes to the actual move, our moving team did a great job, and kept their spirits up, despite the five-hour job turning into an eleven-hour job. They worked very hard, so we ordered them pizza, and tipped them $300.

The problem stemmed from a couple days later, when we discovered theft--NOT loss, but actual evidence of theft. We had an unopened Nintendo Switch Lite console stored in our closet, originally intended to be a gift. We kept searching our belongings once settled in, figuring it had to be somewhere. We ended up finding the original packaging, empty, with the inside torn up, as if somebody wanted to quickly remove the console and charger before anyone noticed. We lived in a controlled access apartment building. There's nobody else who could have taken it besides one of them.

We contacted the office, and spoke with the operations supervisor. Initially, he expressed concern and understanding about what happened, and said that theft is not something they stand for. He asked me to give him a day to find out what course of action he had to take. I did.

I called back the next day, close to the end of their business day, because he never called me. He apologized, saying he didn't get a chance to do his due diligence. I gave him another day. The next day, I called again several times, due to his not being available. Eventually, he left for the day before I could reach him. On the fourth day, I called again, and the front desk person said she would let him know I called. A little while later, he called me back saying that his corporate office said the only thing I could do was file a police report, and that they would cooperate. I don't have much recourse beyond that. He didn't know what else to tell me, because all three of his guys passed background checks, with nothing beyond a speeding ticket. I filed my police report, but even the officer told me not to expect much, and suggested taking civil action.

I'm simply flabbergasted that I paid nearly $2,500 for a local move, to a company whose slogan is "Movers who care," only for one of their team to blatantly steal from us, and their manager then writes us off.

If you use Two Men and a Truck to move, they're great with heavy furniture, but pack all of your own belongings if you don't want them to steal from you!

I have heard nothing but terrible reviews for this company. Sadly they were the only company available for my parents move.
They arrived at 8am and left at 10pm. There were 8 men. 8 men and only 4 worked while the other 4 sat around. My parents had already moved 90% of the stuff from their home. They just needed furniture moved and a few boxes.
Then come 10pm they charged my parents an additional 1900 because it was after hours.
The best part, they didn't even finish unloading those items. They took them and told my parents they needed to wait an additional day to get the rest of their furniture instead of the next day. Then they charged them another 1500 because they kept it an additional day, not by my parents choice. Not to mention while they moved their furniture they broke their stairs, scuffed their wood floor and broke several items. And to top it off, my parents are still missing items and they moved two weeks ago.
The company assured them they will fix the damages but will not call them back. So they paid 5000 for broken furniture and property and over 40hrs of doing nothing. They reimbursed them 1900 but had them still pay the 3100 quote.
They promised to pay for damages and send someone out to repair. THEY HAVENT SENT ANYBODY. NOR HAVE THEY BOTHERED TO CALL THEM BACK.
Very sad. Talk about taking advantage of people. I knew when my parents called me at 6:30 that these men were milking the hours since they are paid hourly. Anything to scam the customer. Pathetic.

I wouldn't use this company if they were the last moving company on the planet.
Don't waste your money, because trust me, they will milk you for every cent they can.

Tip for consumers:
Do more research on the company before using them. They are plenty of other options

This company is run by criminals. They arrived and got high on the job eating marijuana infused edibles, and a using a vape pen. They quoted 10hours without even looking at the place or asking any questions. It took them over 14hours since they were high and got tired, and still charged me. I reported it to the management and they said it was my problem not theres. They were playing with my items, body slamming them, and yelling wrestling terms. They took multiple unauthorized smoke breaks numerous times throughout the day. One of the 4 men held back in the truck the rest of the move after getting overly high, leaving me with 3 men instead of the 4 they still charged me for. They called me last second when they were on the way to my new residency and told me they were going to reschedule for the next day. I explained I had no hotel, food or water, and that my phone was at 2%, they said they don't care. I spent the night in my new home sleeping on the floor with no pillow or blanket. They also walked over all my electronics when in the truck. They were supposed to show up at 8am the next day to unload my stuff, when nobody arrived I called them. They explained that they would not return any of my stuff to me until I paid them for the day prior. I explained that extortion, and they said if I want my stuff back I have to pay. The contract stated I paid at the end of the job. They left all beds disassembled, glass pieces everywhere, they even completely broke two of the beds. They left items at my old apartment and refused to go back and get them, they said "nah i'm not doing that $#*!". These people are the worst criminals I've met, do yourself a favor and never use them unless you like extortion, having your stuff broken, and being treated less than human.

Do Not Use This Moving Company as they will not take responsibility for there mistakes.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this company. Here is my experience. Set up for 2 moves and storage for a couple weeks between moves. 1st move moving out of my home seem to go well. Guys seem to move quickly and do a good job. The team that moved me into my home had all the issues from my perspective. Right in the beginning the mover tells me he dropped my tv and he will give me cash not to say anything. Sketchy but I told him the price to replace it and showed him via online and then he said I would have to call a manager he didn't have the cash? Alright stuff happens when moving. By the end of the move we had a broken 55in tv, baby crib destroyed, cooler full of drinks glass bottles all smashed, broken lamps, missing broom, kitchen step stool left on truck and not returned, damaged my front door, damaged the walls walking into my new place, my couch looks like it was covered and slide in a dirty storage unit, and missing my vacuum. Not to mention the mover was telling me about his drug use and how he doesn't like to drink but like all the expensive bottles of liquor I had in a box? Wait you opened my boxes to see what's inside? The mover also proceed to inform me all the issues where the first team because they just threw my stuff everywhere in the storage unit and it took them a long time to load up the truck. I find it suspect it took them nearly 5 hours to move from there storage unit to there truck but only 3 hours to unload into an apartment up a flight of stairs.

So I call the manager go over these items send pictures pricing and filled out everything they asked to replace these items. The manager sends me an email some days later and says we will send you a check for $62 and change. I am furious and insulted that I am looking at over a thousand dollars in damage and that was the compensation offered. I expressed my dissatisfaction with that so the district manager called me a couple days later and we had a discussion about it and he would investigate then get back to me next day. It's been 2 weeks no follow up. I would assume they do not care at these point now that they have my money.

Do Not Use This Moving Company as they will not take responsibility for there mistakes.

Tip for consumers:
Don’t sign anything until the job is complete to your satisfaction.

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! Absolutely Horrible Workmanship. Andrew, Dillion, Max and Orlando were the four guys that came to pack us out. Andrew did the loading of the truck while the other three moved stuff to the garage. So lets start with the good. They were friendly and professional and did a great job of getting the safe out of the basement. However, that's where the quality ended and the nightmare began. When we started on the furniture I told Andrew specifically I had plenty of blanket (3 dozen) and could get more if needed and to be sure to protect the dining room chairs. You will see by the pictures they did not do as I asked. The chairs, tables, bed furniture are not just scratched, they are gouged. No blanket protection on hardly any of the chairs and to make matters worse they stacked boxes and other furniture on the unprotected chairs. They actually took the time to wrap my dryer in a blanket and then in plastic but yet stacked chairs on each other with nothing protecting them. And the boot prints on the leather. I must have asked him 6 or 7 times if he needed more blankets and that I could run to get more, "Oh no we are good." Let the pictures speak for them self. When it came time for the bill, it was padded it by an hour. They claim they left their shop at 0800 and took 30 minutes to drive 4.2 miles to storage unit. We also bought them lunch and they took a 30 minute break and billed us for that as well. They also tried to bill me for a truck that I did not even use or need, they did eventually remove the truck from the bill. Now Andrew did a great job getting every into the truck, if he had only takin the time to protect my furniture this review would be entirely different. There is absolutely no excuse for his lack of concern or care for our furniture. Furniture stacked on furniture, boxes stacked on unprotected furniture, bags stuffed on furniture, ceramic pots placed on furniture. Boots prints on the leather. There isn't any amount of money one could pay me to use or recommend this company ever again. 100% unreliable, untrust worthy incompetent. Even the company that unloaded the truck made numerous comments about how bad this pack job was and how could anyone load furniture unprotected the way they did. I have over a 100 pictures of the damage they did. Reach out and I will share them with you. YOU ARE A FOOL TO USE THIS COMPANY!

Due to the nature of our work, we constantly need to move every few years. We have had a few experiences with different removalist companies. Unfortunately, we didn't have a positive experience with Two men and a truck. We didn't have a particular large amount of furniture to move, as we moved most of the things ourselves in order to keep our costs low. We were moving from Balwyn VIC to Geelong VIC (one story house to one story house) during a stage 2 lockdown (May 2020) on a weekday non peak hour.
The list of things need to moved are below:
1 two-seated sofa
1 dining table with 6 dining chairs
1 standard size TV unit set
1 coffee table
1 single bed
1 double bed
2 bedside tables
1 dressing table
1 medium size book shelf
And 1 upright piano (which we paid $185 extra)

We had gathered all the things in the lounge room on the moving day and disassembled any furniture that we could to try to make the move smooth.

The removalists moved at a glacial pace. They took 4 hours to load/unload the listed furniture. The total cost was $1122. 22 with a large chunk of it spent on the return trip. Which they charged 1.5hours travel time from Geelong back to Melbourne CBD which we weren't particularly happy about. On a non peak 11:30am weekdays during lockdown, it shouldn't have taken 1.5hours on the return trip. We felt like we were being ripped off and they were not being honest about the actual travel time.

Another thing we weren't happy about is that they put scratches on our piano while moving. We thought they are professionally trained to move fragile item like this because they charged extra for piano. They were not. The piano slipped off the moving trolley and hit the floor, which has certainly impacted the piano.

See photos attached about the scratches they made during moving.

I'm not happy or impressed about their service, will not use their service again and won't recommend it to others either.
