I hired TWT Group (Calgary) to design, plan & install the IT systems for my new business (spring 2015) and thereafter to perform IT support for my business. After working with TWT Group for a year, we finally terminated our business relationship with them after they refused to provide us with the IT infrastructure and passwords for our IT system & servers, despite numerous requests for them to do so.
After terminating our business relationship with TWT Group, we called Meraki Systems to transfer our Meraki system to a new IT support company. I was informed by Meraki that the owner of TWT Group (Shawn Freeman) was the only one with administrative authority to our equipment and Meraki refused to transfer authority without Shawn Freemans approval, even though we had paid for the equipment ($ 8200). Shawn refused to transfer administrative authority to us and we were forced to purchase a different system after he threatened to shut down our Meraki system.
We did hire a lawyer but could not reach a settlement with TWT Group as Shawn Freeman was impossible to negotiate with. Shawn then changed the ownership of one of our domains to himself and tried to change the ownership of our Office 365 account to himself, simply to be vindictive.
Anyone who does business with TWT Group should think twice about how this company conducts themselves, their poor ethics and how they deal with their customers, before starting a business relationship with them.
