Unfortunately there is a zero star to rate this company. I was charged $110.00 for a "membership" that was never requested as I very rarely use this stupid service (it was used once since last year). After countless hours of messaging, as they do not dignify a mortal customer with a phone call in order to be as anonymous and detached as possible to keep on offering no customer service, I was informed that nice Uber would reimburse a whole amount of $30.00. What a scam! NEVER again will I deal with this "mafia" like so called company. Horrible!
Without a doubt the worst experience of my life with Internet based services. Drivers in NYC either can't follow directions or have difficulty conversing in English. I couldn't find a way to communicate my frustrations with Uber. The phone number posted goes to a fax machine or another digital line. I am a SF Bay Area resident and was shocked at my experience. Moving on to give Lyft a try.
How does a delivery service business stay in business when they can't deliver? Placed an order for same day delivery through Game Stop 3 hours later Uber canceled because they couldn't find a driver. No order and refund tied up for 3-5 business days. Maybe Game Stop should think about going back to using Door Dash!
Uber has been gradually allowing drivers with poor reviews to work fro them. I have had safety issues and even a driver who was clearly under the influence, among other safety issues. When I cancel a ride due to low review scoring by other passengers, they have charged me cancellation fees and refused to refund me the $2. This happened three times in a row where I cancelled those trips within less than 24 hours. Lyft allows me to cancel trips if I do not like the driver's review score and has now configured me to ride with drivers with a 4.6 score or above. I will try Lyft, Cabify, Juno or Via before choosing Uber as I am sure other companies will come into the market and provide much better services to compete with Uber.
Uber is such a shady company and they have terrible customer service. I placed an order and I ended up being charged more than double the amount. They refused to correct the total to what we agreed upon and I provided them with all of the info they requested. I even have a screenshot of what the price should be when it was in my cart. This company is absolutely horrible and they take out website glitches on their customers. Plus, their customer service is so rude and obnoxious. Shady companies like this shouldn't be in business.
I was on business in San Jose, CA this past week and used Uber for all my transportation. It was a wonderful and fulfilling experience. Very professional and clean with friendly helpful drivers. I will use this service again on future business trips.
Attempting to be in touch with Uber is a maze of BS they hide behind a corporate sticker. They are slick. Today attempting to contact them is as always impossible. My hope is that another will step up and put them out of business. They attempted to get into my account three times today saying my ride was declined. I did not contact them today. I did my best to contact them to understand why they did this but have been met with generic script BS. Over them. Everyone spend your money elsewhere! We need to be aware of the support we give and stop corporations doing this to loyal customers who are over it. I would look forward to seeing them going out of business. They are generic and out of touch
Uber accepted a prebooking for a 5 a.m. pick up to the airport with a quote of $32 base price plus taxes. An e mail stating that surge pricing was in effect was sent just as the driver arrived. We were already in the street. There was no time to cancel and book a limo so we got in. As a result, our fare was augmented to $126. I complained and they reduced it to $114. I am still fighting for a fair settlement. Today I took a cab.
Terrible experience with Uber service today. The rider Roger, Chrysler 300,7LHV109 accepted my ride request but never showed up and ignored my calls and text messages. My App showed he was sitting near a shopping plaza a mile away instead of picking me up. After 35 minutes in the heat, my cell phone died and I had to take a taxi. Terrible service! And Uber charged me money for its driver's failure!
I hadn't caught an Uber in like 4 years. The day I finally decide to give them another chance, is the day an older gentleman picks me up in a truck that smelled like sentient cigarettes bombed the place. The driver was nice I guess, but he has a real problem with a nicotine addiction. And, I'm ALLERGIC to smoke. After the ride, I started itching all over and still feel bad.

I tried to book a ride home from work. I was quoted $11.94. When I confirmed the price jumped to $35.61. I started over several times to be sure I wasn't doing something wrong. Nope. Same result every time. Forget it. I'm not paying $35. To go 1.2 miles.
The driver took ages to approach the location, didn't show up, cancelled my trip. And then Uber charged me a cancellation fee. They wouldn't refund the wrongly charged cancellation fee back to my credit card. They rather hold it ransom instead, on my "Uber account", as if I was expected to use their miserable service ever again. They are a bunch of unethical morons.
Uber doesn't care about the ppl that drive for them. It's all about what they can keep gaining financially out of you. The Customer Sevice is terrible and repetitive. Uber will issue $2 orders while they collect the majority of the money. I had a $70 order, only received a $4 earning from it. Uber wants you to drive for miles for these type of orders. Now in the beginning, they were being fair, but now it's greed. They are only worrying about how they collect from it. This point system they go by, is what Uber use to keep you in a "certain range". If your points get too low, they use it against you and your earnings. They do not keep the drivers or riders updated with any new information. Uber is not supportive at all. Beware before you put your car on the road.

I ordered an Uber and the driver picked up the wrong riders. I contacted Uber and received a notification that I would receive a refund and they never gave me my refund and no one has gotten back to me no matter how many times I have contacted them. They acknowledged that someone else took my ride but still didn't refund the money. Horrible customer service. Or lack there of.
The driver drove me a distance of what would have been a $10 cab ride and charged $35.00 and that's not the worst part. He tried to charge my credit card $1850. 00 and $1200. 00. Luckily Discover card caught it, flagged it and denied it. The charge was attempted through a company called Lavish Limos.
Drivers point of view: Uber constantly abuse and neglect Drivers, As an Uber driver I feel my basic human rights are being violated. No respect from Uber and Costumers. They literally packing their garbage that smells behind my car, costumers make you do their moving heavy furniture, then they go complain too. That is when uber blocks your application. And dont care about Drivers, we are drivers not Slave!
From last 3 to 6 months i had a couple of rides with uber but in the last ride they charged me 50% extra money and they are not giving proper explanation... this looks like a uber is a big scam. This organization will be stealing money bit by bit. Becareful guys!
App was showing me cab is 5 minutes away. By the time I come down from my building and reach my society gate. The cab was there but drive didn't allow me to seat. He said I have cancelled ur ride. He didn't even call me before canceling it. It was quite rude. Never expected such kind of experience with uber.
Booked an advance reservation and received confirmation with driver info. The morning when leaving for airport I get 15 minutes before pickup no driver. Quickly canceled and within an hour had a lyft driver respond to my request. Like everything the big corporations hold no one responsible, have limited interaction back with you and always have an excuse for poor service
Don't use Uber! It is a ripoff! Used Uber for first time on ride from Midway airport to Aurora, Il. A normal cab fare is $60.00 and I was told much cheaper to use Uber so thought I would give it a try. When we arrived at my house the meter fare was $81.00 which was ridiculous in of itself. A short time later I received a notification that I was billed $156.31? Beware... your going to get ripped off.
Worst experience I have ever had with customer service, and being screwed over with my money, and my time. With uber taking up to 25% of fare (which I am ok with and agreed to) They should by far be able to hire a few people to answer phones and solve problems. The fares randomly change with no explanation and no response from suppprt. A $25 far turns to a $20 fare out of thin air, and then on top of the missing $5 uber takes its 25%. Great idea and easy app, but many bugs and zero customer support to fix the issues. Just my though, but I was under the impression that the uber fee was for using their technology. Seems to me they need to take a little bit of that money out of their pocket and hire some people to help!
Ps. Not looking back for errors, why waste more time after 30 emails and no help.
This site/app is a train wreck. Your data gets stolen, hacked and they will refuse to delete the account (even though they advertise you can, you can't). I had a driver come back to my house and refuse to leave until I call the police. He wanted my number. This was creepy and is what sparked the request to delete the account. 2 weeks and they won't. DO NOT USE IT.
It's such a pain just to get a phone number, half the time you recieve an email from support that you can clearly tell they never even read what you wrote... I've used Uber and Lyft about equally but realized I need Uber customer service a lot! Lyft almost never with a faster response time and logical responses.
Overall a very marvellous travelling facility, with uptodate vehicles and decent partners. Really helping a lot of people on daily basis by saving them from headache of wandering in the streets for taxis and bargaining with the illiterate drivers. Thumbs up
I am Swati Gupta, working in a private company. I usually book Uber cabs for travel purposes in Delhi NCR. From last many times I am getting the worst cabs they can have. We pay good amount for one way travel, and the kind of service they are giving is getting worst day by day. I would not recommend UBER. And I have to pay 600/- for such bad cars
Uber is thirsty for money. Even when they know they cannot pick you up within the time stated they make you wait and charge you a cancellation fee if you dare to choose another option. This company is on a downward spiral. Up with Lyft. Down with Uber. How dare you disappoint a customer during Mardi Gras season!
