Uber is a great way to get around the city. They have a convenient app, fast cars, and polite drivers. Sometimes prices can be high during peak demand
Unfortunately there is a zero star to rate this company. I was charged $110.00 for a "membership" that was never requested as I very rarely use this stupid service (it was used once since last year). After countless hours of messaging, as they do not dignify a mortal customer with a phone call in order to be as anonymous and detached as possible to keep on offering no customer service, I was informed that nice Uber would reimburse a whole amount of $30.00. What a scam! NEVER again will I deal with this "mafia" like so called company. Horrible!
Every time the food is wrong so I complain to customer service who seem to thing a refund of 2p is sufficient
Now I'm getting a message to say no one is available to deliver... you think this is acceptable? Because I don't.
I also have to pay £3.99 delivery even though mcdonalds is clearly visible from my house. Again not acceptable.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use uber!!!!!!!!

They need to get a grip on what is actually happening because the problem is not just uber its the restaurants too and in some cases the drivers are also involved.
Uber charged me $34.00 for a ride that I take EVERY Saturday and Sunday morning to work, and pay anywhere from11 to 14 dollars. When I asked them for a partial refund due to price surge, that's what Uber calls it...I was denied due to "high demands for rides iny area." Which is total B.S.
Uber is definitely not consistent with their fares which is really inconvenient when someone counts on them for a way to work every weekend.
Not only that but they were also pretty crappy about the whole way they handled the situation. Or didn't handle it should I say.
You implemented Google SSO in your app but you left it bare on your website? Why? What kind of classless PMs do you employ who bask in the kinks of a broken space-time continuum?
Their taxi service however is unparalleled.
There in no number and no way to get real help my account got hacked for $79.57 Uber is trash Because there no way to call I will spread the word in tell I get help the right way Uber need a phone number to call for help there is nothing in the app to help with a hacked account
I have been an Uber user for years. The poor service provided by Taxi drivers seems to be the new norm with Uber. I had to go to NYC and one driver asked me to pay him directly and got mad because I refused. Another driver cancelled my ride because La Guardia was too far from him and the last one cancelled my ride because I couldn't find him quickly in the mess of an airport on Friday night. I ended up taking a taxi and I can tell that it was easier and more convenient. Seems that Uber may be missing their purpose… at least they lost one customer.

Uber Australia is a very dishonest company! The drive that took me to work on the 14th of August double charged me twice for the trip and when I called the operator she said that they money money was on hold and they do that regularly which is strange because I catch Uber many times and it's the first time it's happened. Why do you need to hold people's money even if it's a small amount. Uber is a dishonest company who people should be wary of! Go with Ola or Didi for now on.
Tip for consumers:
Use Didi or Ola
Uber canceled my trip I did not. They charged me almost 6 dollars for a cancellation fee that I didn't cancel. I had to order another Uber. They credited my account. I don't want a credit to this horrible company. I want my money back. Worst customer service in the world why are they allowed to operate!
A friend of mine was drinking to much and needed a ride. I tried to use uber to pick her up. The app no longer allows you to change the pick up point. It was horrible my friend ended up walking drunk on a dark country road for over a mile before I could pick her up. They have no clue as to why people need taxi service. And are so user unfriendly. I downloaded Lyft at least they have a clue
I was visiting in Michigan over the weekend 30 minutes from the Detroit Airport near Monroe. I made an appointment on Friday for a 6am pickup on Sunday morning to go to the airport. At 10 minutes to 6 it tells me on the App no drivers are available. No time to get a taxi or a car service. This is outrageous. I guess they have been taken over by the federal government!
The first (and last) time I ever used Uber, the fare estimate was $61. When I logged on to book a car, I got a screen that looked like upgrade options, the lowest of which was $89. There was an option to "Skip this Step" so I did. I never got a screen telling me my total or asking me if I agreed to book it or not. Just that the car was on its way. The car that arrived was a huge SUV that could probably seat at least 8 people (I was alone and had one small piece of luggage and a backpack), and when I looked at the receipt later, I saw that they charged me $150 for this unnecessarily huge vehicle. When I wrote them about it they claimed I submitted a different destination location, which is entirely untrue. And they were so cold as to not even give me a break as a 1st time user, refunding at least some of that outrageous total. Terrible company in my experience.
Uber don't care anything about their driver's only the rider's. Rider's have this scam where they will call or email Uber and lie and say their driver was intoxicated just to get their money back and Uber will deactivate the driver's account without proof. This is not worth the wear and tear on your vehicle. The pay sucks also.
So apart from some miscommunications with my captains a couple of times, it has always been a fair bit of help. Wonder if they can work up their discount game a little more. Great vehicles most of the times though. All in all, a "yes" for me.
I didn't have any trip with this driver. The driver according to the app notification arrived at 03.42. The app showed he was waiting till my reservation at 3:50. I was downstairs at 3:49. The driver was not there. I had to call another taxi. I would like to give a completely negative feedback to the driver because i was in late for my trip and i want my money back. In the app there is no way to contact them
Uber driver deleted my ride information from my phone and created a new ride. My confirmed ride was $19.71. Driver purposely stalled at pick-up location for 5 minutes feigning operational issues with his car app and then asked to see my phone which displayed my ride information. Driver deleted it and created another ride request while in the app. This was my 2nd time ever using Uber as I had always taken, well over 150 times in the past, a NYC yellow taxi at a cost of: $20-$30 including tip for the 10 minute-8 mile trip. Uber executives refuse to investigate claiming it's a result of their 'dynamic pricing policy' Dynamic pricing at 2 o'clock in the morning with hardly any vehicles on the roadway? It appears that Uber is criminally conspiring with the driver to defraud consumers.

I have asked Uber 5 times via email for directions on creating an Uber account. It will not let us do it because it wants a mobile phone number. We are retired and have no need for a mobile phone anymore. I need to use my house phone but it rejects it.
How can I utilize Uber services without having to purchase a mobile phone. It does not make any sense. Can anyone help us?
Raleigh, NC: My son was overcharged by Uber on 10/31 as well. A drive from downtown Raleigh to near Crabtree Mall cost at $108! The pricing was not at all clear when they got in the car. It was only when the receipt was emailed to him that he realized the fare was so high! Tonight (11/03) on WRAL 11 PM news there will be a story on Uber overcharging passengers. Let's all speak up and teach these companies that they cannot take unfair advantage of riders!
I've been using Uber for 6 years with Diamond rating. Normally, when you tap your application to request for a ride, it will give you the normal price. Lately, after giving you the normal price of your trip but when it picks a driver, the price will change to, kid you not, 5 times! Worse than Halloween. I tried patiently to wait for 2 hours but it just keep going higher if not it will decrease but will tell you, "Pls confirm that you are accepting the higher price... 142 dollars for a 25 dollar ride.
Bye Uber
Great driver, and a smooth amazing ride to start. The driver told me that she had a special place in her heart for hating the Pittsburgh Steelers. Which…tbh I totally get…but she's a Detroit fan. Would of given 5 starts if she was a fan of any other team. But Detroit? The lady was clearly not fit to drive. I want my money back

Yesterday was the first and last time I use Uber.
Our first driver kept asking us where to go even though he had his gps telling him where to go. Our second driver last night could not find us and kept telling me that I gave him a wrong address when in fact he too could not use gps as well. After 20 min of directing him to us we finally began the trip home. Again we had to direct him all the way because he could not read his gps. WOW! Then came the charge... more than double what we paid for the first ride. Nothing I hate more than having to pay someone to do their job. Good riddens to Uber!
Working 8 hours shift then I decided to do my grocery shopping and get Uber to take me home in a snowy night. When I requested Uber it was giving me another address to go there and wait for Uber on the main road. So when I could do that with having 7 bags of shopping then I would have taken a bus for $4 rather than paying $25 for the Uber.
It happened with me 3 times so I kept cancelling them and calling for capital taxi.
The place where I work is a big mall and I work there and do my grocery from loblaws then always tried to get Uber but didn't work with me for the last 3 times.
So I kept using capital taxi since then I was ur customer used Uber a lot. But not anymore.
I saw a $20 charge in my bank statement for a trip I never took. I reached out to Uber customer service via the app section Help. Multiple agents were involved and they either denied there was a charge: "The transaction is still pending and will be voided in a couple of days"; or claimed the charge was from a "real trip" when they could not provide a physical evidence of the trip; and worst of all, an agent refunded the money back to my personal card then charged the same amount to my business card (one would wonder what knid of trick is this and how dare they did this without my permission?). I requested to speak to someone from the management and a guy called me and he continued twisting the fact. He claimed he did not see a charge on my business card when there was a charge. Bottom line, this is a fraud from Uber and I have made a dispute through my credit card company.
How can uber company determine the effectiveness of rating their drivers by passengers? What if a driver happens to drive at night & unfortunately picks me up intoxicated who happens not to think or see clearly & I just hits the star button regardless which one. I just thick it's not fair to the drivers. Everyone have different views or opinion. Some can easily give a five or four star & some don't. For me three to four star is already a good rating. Five is perfect & no body is perfect. How can you use this star rating to determine your good drivers.
Why it all the sudden takes hours for ppl to show up to pick somebody up this $#*! is for the birds I was half way down waiting for a ride and you ppl wanna take a ride but sit your $#*! until you want to move that's why you don't make $#*!ing money
We did get a quote... it was for after a concert double check and triple check because we had heard they change the price $40 was the price but then they told us at the time of pick up it as $350 because of the time... that was in the quote?
Suck and scam
Do not know how they get by with this
Something needs to be done
