Unfortunately there is a zero star to rate this company. I was charged $110.00 for a "membership" that was never requested as I very rarely use this stupid service (it was used once since last year). After countless hours of messaging, as they do not dignify a mortal customer with a phone call in order to be as anonymous and detached as possible to keep on offering no customer service, I was informed that nice Uber would reimburse a whole amount of $30.00. What a scam! NEVER again will I deal with this "mafia" like so called company. Horrible!
We arrived at San Fransisco Airport and walked towards the taxi rank.We were approached by a taxi driver offering to take us to our hotel he did say he was a Uber driver ( I do not have an Uber account). I knew that the fare should be around $45. During the journey our driver was constantly on his mobile phone either texting or speaking to other drivers. Arriving at our hotel he charged us $95.
I my opinion don't use them, i certainly will never use them again.
My rating keeps going down every time I ride. I am a pleasant customer. Either uber app is messed up or something else. Why no promotion's or discounts? I have been using it for past 2 years and no discounts. HuH! Avoid.
I've heard and read plenty of complaints against Uber. Personally I haven't experienced any serious issues, and the minor ones I encounter are usually resolved promptly. That aside, Uber remains one of my favorite apps ever. The convenience it provides is heavenly.
I have a duplicate account issue ever since Postmates merged. I have been told over 20 times to log into my original account, even though I would send every message through my original account. They don't even read my messages, they repeat the same thing to me, over and over again. I called them a month ago, waited on the phone for 2+ hours, the technician appealed my account and said it'll be ready in a few business days. Still waiting…. All the Uber agents should be fired for not reading customer messages. I've never seen anything like this.
Arranged and paid for 2 rides 4 days in advance. They kept texting me saying thank you for your patience, we are looking for a driver for you. I was already very late for an appointment. They never showed up! Awful service. When I called customer service, they were extremely rude!

If I could give Uber service o stars I would! Completely unreliable. If you need to be somewhere important don't use them. They never showed up! You're taking your chances counting on them and will probably end up very frustrated.
In my Uber. After 10 seconds I realized it's in the Uber, I ask Uber to call the driver and they told me they can't call, they can't give me his number, they only can send a massage. After hour I see I'm about to missed my flight but Uber keep saying they can't reach driver he might be in another ride and can't answer. I was texting the support ask them not to give driver more ride or have me make reservations, offer driver extra payment to return it, but nothing help. Uber just keep saying the driver might be in a ride and I should let him time to response. After a day (without money and any kind of documentation) I become very nervous and finally got it back with the help of the police. Uber could just tell driver he need to return it before he can get more rides, but they did nothing. Looks like they really not care about their riders.
On a recent ride there were 5 of us jammed into a little Uber car with our suitcases and the ride cost me more than the taxi I took going to the airport. Watch out for extra charges, user fees. The company is very greedy. Just imagine how much the company made off the five of us per hour.
Uber is price gauging. I ordered a 10 minute trip that was $10. Then suddenly upon completion was charged $44. Customer Service is Terrible. Need more Honest Competitors that have upfront price & not Rip off working ppl. UBER is a Greedy Company

Uber cab service is pathetic in India & you'll feel cheated everytime you travel with them. They will charge cancellation fee of Rs. 80 everytime the booking is cancelled by the cab driver due to his own reasons. Their so called promo codes never work and after paying the driver you have to lodge a written complain through your mail id or Uber app to resolve the issues and this normally takes between 24-72 hours to get resolved. Uber will refund the money and credit it in your uber account, so to use that you again have to book a cab. This is how uber forcefully tries to retain their customers.
The drivers are unprofessional. Customer support too is very poor in India. Their app is not up to the mark and multiple issues arise during payment.
This may be the biggest scam of the century. First off you could make more selling skis in Hawaii. You start the day by putting $30 in gas so you figure no problem I will make it back and guess what you will but thats it. Have had many days working 10-12 hours just to make $100 after their fee and the gas you walk away with $50 here is the kicker you get to run your car into the ground. Uber is a wake up call if you have ended up here your life is not going as planned. You need to change course I find myself scared to go eat off the dollar menu cause it will take me several fares to make it back. What is very sad is many people come to Uber needing money and bank on this opportunity being what it claims but it is not it is pure lying, greedy, bull$#*!.
Uber did not get my payment because the credit card was outdated. I would like to solve the matter but have not been able to do this on line. I am not going to spend 10 hours on line trying to figure this out since I am not that technical. A number to reach Uber would be nice.
The only reason I gave 3 stars was because the driver was great. Customer service?... There is absolutely no customer service!. Really. None! You will never ever be able to speak to anyone. If your question is not in their category of FAQ's then forget it. So how does that make you feel as a customer? Sounds to me like they don't want to talk to the people who are making their business grow. They are now on my do not call list.

Because they charged from my credit cart 3 times and i never can take money back. Uber taxi driver forced me to pay in the car. He said Uber will not charge but they charged two more times. I sent them my statement I am talking with them it is not working out.

Have been driving for uber for 3 weeks and they take almost half the fare and call it a booking fees and then another fare fee. They don't charge enough, they encourage people not to tip, they let passengers cancel and don't compensate for drivers time, they don't tell you the final destination until passenger is sitting in the car... I could go on and on. They use drivers to make millions but really could care less about them. Why can a passenger see picture of me but I can't see a picture of them? So many issues that I'm shocked they are still in business.

Thanks to the Major of Chicago, we were sent into the era of slavery. If you dedicate your car and time to a company where, after deducting taxes and maintenance costs (without medical insurance), you earn as much as in McDonald's, then something is wrong. About 35-50% of your income is taken by Uber and the City of Chicago, then deduct your actual costs, this comes out, for each dollar you earn, you have about 30 cents left.
Took a ride last Saturday 3/12. Lost credit card and license in the back seat. Still can't get anyone to respond to our customer service request after following the instruction of how to respond to this. I will never use Uber again. Lyft will get all my business for now on. Also tried calling the customer service phone number and told me to call back during business hours. This was at 2pm on a Monday. Crazy!
I hear and i read all these negative reviews about Uber. I think people are finally coming around the real uber. Dont waste your time or breath on this organize crime. Uber is fraud and always will be. Go back to taxis, their safer bet for you and your wallet or purse.

I live in the San Diego area. Two of my Uber drivers did not know where our airport is. They often cannot find my home even I call them.
In my early retirement I drove for Uber for a few years. Uber completely exploits its drivers. My earnings were far below minimum wage after expenses.

For a ride downtown it was $19.84... to get us home on an event night they were going to charge us 6 to 7 times the normal rate which would have been $120 to $140 ish. They should be ashamed of themselves... I certainly will not recommend them to anyone. They should be required to disclose this information.
Uber Support for Drivers is a disaster. They tell you to do the same thing over and over and keep giving you negative results. They also change their story constantly. No wonder they are unprofitable. I pity the fool who invests in this company. Incompetence is an art form at the support center. A bunch of malfunctioning robots.
Uber in UAE are thieves, they charged you twice but they don't return your money back and they are not reachable, so advice uae government to not allow thieves in this amazing country. Uber is awful. At home in england i live in a village just outside of a town, near London and they can never get any availability.
I tried using it on holiday in Croatia, the same thing, and worse it made me wait around for 30 minuets, telling me there will be availability shortly and it never came.
Never use this Uber, just use a taxi service, must quicker and reliable and it's only slightly expensive, because at the end of the day time is money!
I'm a frequent uber user and I had no problems until this uber pool decided to introduce the short walk crap. I'm always having issues with the drivers, as I see an address and the driver sees another address. And a cancellation fee? Are you serious? There are many incompetent drivers out there so why do I have to pay $5 fee when they cancel? I'm saying bye to this service and I will make sure all my friends are aware of your games.
I love the convenience offered by these cabs. It has taken a while for me to catch on the trend but I'm now using Uber for most of my in town commutes. Highly recommended for every person on the move. Regards
I was ripped off many times, overcharged by uber and when want to ask or complain, they of course have a bridge to nowhere type of system where it is impossible to actually state your complain, it is categorized where you can not find the right button. It also seems there is no real response
Forgot car/house keys in the car. Attempted to contact driver twice a few hours after the incident, he hung up on me both times after I explained why I was calling. Sent an email to uber with no response. Called Uber- voice message saying best way to contact is through email (obviously not). Went to uber headquarters-absolutely no help. The guy in charge of lost and found there said that he was not allowed to contact the driver. What can you do?!?
