Unfortunately there is a zero star to rate this company. I was charged $110.00 for a "membership" that was never requested as I very rarely use this stupid service (it was used once since last year). After countless hours of messaging, as they do not dignify a mortal customer with a phone call in order to be as anonymous and detached as possible to keep on offering no customer service, I was informed that nice Uber would reimburse a whole amount of $30.00. What a scam! NEVER again will I deal with this "mafia" like so called company. Horrible!

I have had several instances recently where I go to order and Uber tells me it's 2-3 minutes and then I confirm the order and it's 8-10 minutes (tech glitches). I have also had drivers who can't speak English and I must tell them where to go despite them having their map app on their phone available to them. Incompetent drivers and failing technology are not ingredients for a good user experience. When notified of their failings, Uber curtly replies that they work hard to provide the best user experience. Really, that's your best?

As a driver I thought Uber was a great company, until I was in an accident. That is when you will find out what a lousy company they really are. Because you are using you own vehicle they suspended my account did absolutely nothing to help me get back on the road or assist me in getting a rental car. Uber non customer service is a real joke they where a useless piece of garbage. They have a 1000 dollar deductibe you have to pay to speed up the process and they tell you the will go after the other carries insurance company.It will be 20 days before my car is fixed.

Horrific experience I waited for an Uber driver for 30 minutes stupid me! He kept saying he be there in 2 to 3 minute he never showed up! Uber had a nerve to charge me for the ride I tried to get in contact with customer service they were nothing but rude

Tried uber for the first time, the food arrived cold and a drink had spilled making everything wet, from a restaurant less than a mile away, called the driver andf he said nothing i can do and put the phone down, tried to contact uber and still trying to get refund

will never ever use them again £25 out if pocket

Uber has been a wonderful solution for me as I have no vehicle at this time. The drivers are all very professional. The only problem is that I live in a rural area and have problems getting home. Today I've been stuck for 7 hours and still don't have a ride home.

Let me start by saying, Uber along with Lyft aren't as reliable as they claim to be. There is no reason why a person should have to wait almost 2 hours for a ride. Not to mention the last drivers or money hungry drivers who will accept the ride request and then immediately cancel. I assume after seeing the rate they're not happy with, they cancel. I've been an Uber customer for years and must say they're way worse than before and I will never deal with them again. And considering how they rip off their employees, it's no wonder it's hard to get rides. What Uber doesn't tell you is that what you're paying for a driver doesn't all go to the driver. Uber takes half of what you're paying for a driver which is why a lot of drivers are picky with the ride requests they receive. Uber along with Lyft should be put out of business!

Never seen before, the driver don't come for pick up and charged me 5 pound cancellation fee, I called for an other driver, the estate charge was 17 pound maximum, the driver confirm that it will be around 14 pound, they charged me 21 pound.
I been charged for the same distance 16 pound to 17 pound with golden line. I tried to call them their's no number for those people. This company is really rubbish. I will never use it again.
AVOID IT.

$19 for ride to stadium for concert. $52 for return trip initially. Walked a mile away from stadium traffic so driver could avoid. At pick up, driver drove back into the mess of traffic despite navigation showing different route. Received 2nd invoice informing me there was $17.25 extra fees added not disclosed at the time of booking due to the event traffic. That was purely a driver wrong decision. Price gouging

Uber sucks. I used them twice and I was obercharged both times. It was a big headache to get refund. A couple of my friend used uber too-they had the same problem like me. Both time my drivers didn't know where they were going too. One of them at least was nice, but the other was rude and even cursed me. Uber offers $10-$20 free ride in the beginning. That's the way they get people. There is nothing free in life. One or another way YOU will pay for it. I'll never use uber again.

Raleigh, NC - My daughter was charged $193 to go 5 miles Halloween night! I understand increasing the rate during high demand times but this was almost 10x the normal rate. She thought she was agreeing to 9.8% additional fee NOT 9.8 x the regular rate... lesson learned NO MORE UBER! Yellow cabs will be getting her business.

Someone has stolen my bank account details and has used my bank card for uber rides or deliveries. I have 5 different charges on my bank statement. This card isn't even connected to my uber account. All my uber transactions go through PayPal.

I have informed uber that my bank account details have been stolen and there are no charger on my uber account but there are charges on my bank statement.

All you do is send me an email saying they can't discuss someone account and will not refund the money. Uber should be charge with Accessory after the fact and I bet this isn't the first time uber has received stolen money.
Uber is no longer responding to emails. They should be in jail. Bunch of criminals.

Tip for consumers:
Avoid this company. Most of the time a cab is cheaper

I would not write a review, but it was already the second charge from Uber for the kinda ''subscription'' I have signed up for. I barely use Uber. In a year, I use services 1-3 times max. I have never subscribed for anything. The amount is not high, around 11 CAD, but how many people have not noticed these unauthorized charges and not asked for a refund? How did the company manage to charge me for what I have not signed up for? Where did they get my approval? It's STEALING! I advise you to take off the payment method from the uber account that can be charged for you unnoticeably.

For starters, Uber could care less about the drivers. They don't pay well and customer service is no help. You call in and either you have to keep trying because you can't reach anyone or the person you finally talk with doesn't speak English. The gentle that I finally was able to speak with pretended he couldn't hear me on the phone but he answered a question. That doesn't make sense. I have been dealing with the same issue for over a week now with them and still nothing. They definitely don't want to transfer you to a supervisor or someone who can actually help. So I give up, I am done with Uber.if I was able to give zero starts, I will. It's just not worth it in my option.

Driver got lost, could not find us. He was dressed like a junkie, Made U turns, drove us unsafely in an old, dirty car. In the end we were overcharged.
Next time we were in Chicago, we just booked through a local limo company with great service and reasonable prices

Uber takes the WORST routes! They will take you in circles, then bring you back to your starting point to pick up another rider to make $2. LYFT is no better! Cant wait for more competitors to join the market. Maybe then theyll take their customers best interests into consideration.

On 5h may for a ride between Jewish General Hospital and home I was told $ 24 which is already on the higher side to which i agreed but they actually charged $29 and for extra charge refunds I'm unable to contact uber customers service. There's is the worst Customer service as it's impossible to contact them and I have to waste so much time to get a refund of $5. They don't deserve even one star. Thanks

I finished a 8 hour shift, I decided to take an uber back home. When the uber driver "arrived" i texted asking where he was, he didnt tell me, instead he wrote "i have arrived" again. So i decided to call him. He didnt understand what i was saying, nor did i understand what he was saying. Really poor Communication skills. He was no where to be found and after being so anxious running around trying to find his car, he cancelled. I have never been more disappointed with a service in my life. Not only this, but I was charged a $10 fee and the $$ from the service I didn't receive. Never using uber again

Unable to request a ride. Given a generic error message with no helpful information. "Contact help." Tried that, they were unknowledgeable and unable to help, then disconnected the chat. Used Lyft insead, got a ride right away, the first time.

I booked a taxi through UBER, he arrived within about 10 minutes. He drove past me and the on the app I seen him driving in circles. I tried calling him. Then he called me and said he could no longer do my journey and that I must press cancel on the app and order another one. Bare in mind this is on New Years Eve, a 23 year old girl alone, with no coat, visiting her sick mother in hospital. I cancelled it on the app as he advised as I could not be bothered arguing, and it charged me £4 for cancellation even though I did not want to cancel it, he said I had to! As they are ignoring my emails, my bank are recovering the funds. I would rather give the £4 to charity rather than these con-men!

Tip for consumers:
After goggling other reviews I have found it's cheaper to google a local firm, they will be cheaper anyway and more reliable! Rather than booking through an american app which is UBER. Your paying UBER more just to use there app and they pass it onto your local firm anyway!

I used this once in America, I was advised to get the app which I did. 10 months later they have taken nearky £300 out my bank account.!. I'm. In touch with the fraud team now it's stress I can do without...

They charging unfair money for the trips! I had 3 miles trip which is about 15 minutes and they charged me £15.41 pounds! When they showing how much would cost your trip on the app, it was from £5 to £7 pounds, but they charged £15.41! Liars and thieves!

The drivers constantly cancel and charge late fees. Customer service is only reachable through the app (no phone #), and they're useless.

The little money potentially saved isn't worth the hassle, from what used to be an OK company and idea. SMH.

I have used it several times-maybe 6-7 and I found it to be easy and painless. I like the idea that I know what I am paying before they arrive, thus its my choice to use or not. No messin around with driving all over the place. I have seen coupons and promo codes too that take off 10-20% quite frequently. Anyway, there ya go!

Great drivers great service. However, I have been over charged more times than I can count. I reviewed all my trips with Uber and found hundreds of dollars of over charges charged to my bank account. One in September I was charged over $40.00 for a trip that normally cost me $26.00. I just found out today, but it was over 30 days old and they will not refund me for over charging. They have constant debits and credits going through my bank account, that It has made my head spin. They hold onto money that you didn't spend and then they refund you 5 days later and take that same amount and debit it from my bank account. I have lost a lot of money due to their payment method. If you don't want this to happen, then I suggest you take a Cab/Taxi.

1) Uber unlawfully charged me $70.83 without my authorization. I have not used Uber on that particular day. I only authorized few cents for verification, but Uber used that authorization for unlawfully charged me over $70.

2) After making reservation, I canceled within 3 hours and 4 days before Uber ride reservation. Uber charged me on my credit card.

Sent numerous email, but never received response and nobody answered the phone!
Uber customer service is non exist! I had to contact credit card company for this issue.

I have never accounted this kind of barbarous business practice in my life!
