Uber is a great way to get around the city. They have a convenient app, fast cars, and polite drivers. Sometimes prices can be high during peak demand
Unfortunately there is a zero star to rate this company. I was charged $110.00 for a "membership" that was never requested as I very rarely use this stupid service (it was used once since last year). After countless hours of messaging, as they do not dignify a mortal customer with a phone call in order to be as anonymous and detached as possible to keep on offering no customer service, I was informed that nice Uber would reimburse a whole amount of $30.00. What a scam! NEVER again will I deal with this "mafia" like so called company. Horrible!
I scheduled a ride to the airport and then guy who was supposed to pick me up did not call or notify me he was there. Instead he sent me a cancellation bill. I can't get a hold of an actual person. The help center just gave me a run around. The phone number doesn't take you to an actual person but on a website that leads back to the app. Uber isn't very accommodating in their support and as far has refunds go... no one got back to me regarding how it will work. This is NOT a good product! I don't even want to give it a rating.
Tip for consumers:
There is a risk if the driver does not inform you that they are there. Uber said something about a text being sent to you. I never got a text from Uber or the driver to let me know he was on the way or that he had arrived and there is NO way to get a hold of anyone so you can get a refund. Once the driver sends a cancellation fee there is no way to get refunded or have person to person contact to get the help you need. Uber lacks this accommodation.
I requested a ride as I was getting ready for work because they take forever anyways dumb driver canceled my ride 10 minutes later and I had to wait for my refund to request another $32 ride I honestly feel like Uber shouldn't be able to cancel rides after it being picked up especially because the price kept going up ever time it got cancelled 😡 now I'm gonna be an hour and a half late for work because depending on your dumb Uber driver that decided he wanted to cancel my ride last minute is crazy I will not be giving this company anymore of my hard working money there is supposed to be policy's standers to avoid things like this and clearly this company or employees can't follow these policy's

My driver Daniel almost got us killed. Long story short... I was wearing a mask and that made him very angry. He started yelling about that, he continued to yell about politics and how CNN was the devil. He picked me up at the ER after being sent straight there from my doctor with a blood pressure of 218 over 109. Needless to say when i finally got back home i was right back where i started before the doctors did everything they could to make me comfortable and get it down enough so i could return home. Beware of using Uber.

Beware!
Uber, really? Such a modern company with such archaic policies to start with. My bosses sent me a voucher from the US to order food. Once redeemed, it never accounted so I got in touch. Understood it can only be spent in the currency it was bought - Uber, I introduce to you *currency exchange*, you should definitely check it out. Moving on, asked the assistant 20 times about any alternatives other than the refund and they literally stopped responding?

I've had a lot of uber rides and they all have varied greatly - some are great with nice cars and professional drivers, others are messy, take the longest possible route and will find reasons to be rude. Sometimes my account gets billed for rides I didn't take so I tried to find what was going on, but even that was problematic.
They are dishonest and thieves stealing from a poor person every dollar counts shame on you. Not have you done it once but several times I will never use them again. I would sooner walk. Than take these pirates if you like to robbed than by all means use them. I need say more
Two days after using uber for transportation I checked my bank account and noticed seven un authorized fraudulent activities on my account. Be careful with giving out you financial information when setting up your account.
Uber is nothing more than a scam. American Corporate Greed at it's Finest! Trust me I know... I drive for Uber! They say that Uber pricing "surges" (increases up to 10 times) based on supply (number of cars) and demand (number of request). I can tell you it's all BS! Uber raises prices when... it wants to! Doubt me? Take out your rider app... look at a area that is surging and see how many cars are in the area... now watch as more cars show up and maybe at best a small percentage of drivers get riders. I've literally seen Uber raise price up to 4.8 times normal rate and saw one out of ten drivers in the surge area get a ride. It's all BS and I have over 2,000 screenshots to prove it! Rider and driver apps!
Do not use Uber for long distance, they are totally over rated, I believe the drivers understand time is a portion of the rate, not going to say they slowed down, but it sure look like. You could take a ride in a Limo from the airport, I dare say it will cost $180.00 I cancelled my account and the customer service people does not know the difference between a complaint and a request. Cab folks in Chicago you probably have nothing to worry about, this may be just a flash. Service will win out.
Uber is an evil company that, without passengers' knowledge or consent, tracks their personal data, such as location, and then will also share those data publicly, e.g. to reporters. This is a company that has expressed an interest in stalking not only reporters who dare to be critical, but the families of reporters who are critical. They engage in numerous very shady business tactics. Try Lyft instead!
I drive for uber in Orlando. My car is always clean, safe and I received a lot of great feedback from passengers. I driven all over Orlando many times very late at night only for uber to keep all my earning and display that I owe them. I've had to spend for a lot of gas and tolls, new breaks, tires, deep cleaning because of messes made by some passengers and when I ask where are my earnings I get a bs response. It's as if I been doing favors for people driving them around all for nothing. I'm going to find out who I can talk to so I can file suit again uber
Our 15 year old boys hailed an Uber ride late Friday night (February 24,2017). Well... let's just say they aided in our boys running away from home. Check out their rules, and it says you need to be 18 to call for a ride, or have parental permission! Umm... not 18, and no permission! Good job Uber!
I am attempting to become an Uber driver. When trying to update my profile, I get a message "please wait" with the spinning circle and it never connects on three different computers. I called several times on two separate numbers, left messages asking them to call and they never did. Uber website is also not very intuitive or friendly.
I am also working on Lyft, so far so good, their website works, at least. At this point I say stay away from Uber.
Uber USED to be a good option. I cannot believe I spent $43.00, which is an entire tank of gas to travel less than 2 miles, plus the driver went down a one way and almost got into a second accident. I'll only use if I absolutely have to.
Uber started charging me a monthly fee I didn't sign up for. I had to go through my bank to get it stopped TWICE. I got it canceled once they immediately started charging me again. Not just last night I got a notice that my ride was on the way to a location in Ft. Worth Tx. I was in bed in Marble Falls, Tx. Which is 178 mile away.
It's impossible to contact Uber over any issue especially one like either of these three I have had.
Word of advice don't give Uber your cc info. Call a taxi.
I wrote a review on Uber last November after reading some negative reviews, my experience tonight has left me quite grateful. Around 1 am I received a call from a young adult that had drank too much and was looking for a ride, she didn't even know where she was and had gotten separated from her friends. Not knowing where she was, I had her open her Iberia app. Within minutes a immigrant driver had her in his vehicle and got on the phone with me to assure me he would get her safely to me. 18 minutes later the driver delivered my passed out little friend. She may never drink again, but we will certainly Uber. Thank You Uber!
Ubers refund policy is a joke; dont waste your time. I had a very legitimate claim and Uber has been sending me back and forth numerous emails for just 16 dollar and they will just play you around. I always thought Uber is a reputable reliable company until today when i tried the service and realized how much they are fraudulent and their site designed to steal people money.
The pickup time on the Uber app fluctuated between 3 minutes to 10 then 18 minutes and back to 5 for over an hour. The Uber car never showed, neither did the cabs I called to pick me up from a retirement community in West Palm Beach two days after my father died. I missed my flight and now I'm worried Uber will charge my card or use it illegally since the app requires you to input your payment information into their system before the car pickup is authorized. At least the cabs I called don't have me locked into a financial trap. Definitely not a fan of a business taking my personal information without providing me a service. I selected a 1 for rating only because this site requires a rating but Uber gets a Zero from me.
After their 20%, driver must put a side 15.3% for tax and social security, also pay for gas, maintenance and car depreciation, insurance phone service, also need to buy personal insurance or penalize at the end of the year due to Obama care and car payment, if you make $100 every 4 hours and work 12 hours with no break and lunch and no overtime pay, you tell me how much per hour you get paid, Uber is lying about $30 or $20 per hour income.
I loved Uber when I first started in February of this year since then. But since then, I have been so annoyed. The maps are not accurate, leaving u to appear incompetent to customers. Not to mention I have wasted countless hours in areas that do not have Uber, and was given false information from the reps. Such as; Dublin Ga & Sandersville Ga. I also no longer get any Quest. And spend in gas the same amount I make. Ugh. Plus I have been in this area Georgia for over a month and they keep sending me Orlando promotions. Can't wait for the new companies that are coming out with food delivery.
Most unreliable service you will ever find.
I was left waiting for a car for over an hour even though it showed the driver only being a few minutes away. Terrible service. Do not use uber. I would rate them zero if I could.
Used Uber for the first time in Seattle, found it confusing And there is no such thing as Uber customer service. No email, can't find the phone number and if you go on the app you have to search forever. Finally found something related to Uber cash. Wrote but whoever responded never answered my questions after sending it 3 times. Had a problem with the promotional code. Deleted the app. Don't plan to use Uber again.
We were in Florida for the past week. We don't drink and drive so we used Uber on any evening we were going out. Half of the drivers (men) were wonderful. Knew their way around, friendly, awesome people. The other half (women) didn't know where they were, didn't speak English, depended on me for directions, charged me extra because they got lost several times. This is not a sexist comment for I am a woman! We are not sure we will continue to use Uber. The cost is less than a taxi but the frustration isn't worth it. Uber needs to make sure whomever they hire actually knows the area where they are working! Awful when you've been out having a good time, and then have to do your own work to get back to your hotel. Stupid freaking drivers. Don't drive it you don't know where you are - common sense!
Our first trip was free as we were recommended by a friend who gave us their discount code.
Driver was pleasant did not take long to arrive.
The second time we ordered from Uber we were turned away 5 times because the taxis were not going in our direction, it was getting beyond a joke so in the end we rang a local firm which is little a more expensive but I suppose as the saying goes you get what you pay for.
An error with the Uber app caused the multiplier not to show, ended up paying over £90 for what would normally be a £20 trip - rang up support who offered to remove the surge charge (but only offered to refund £30? Not the £70 difference) this was over 6 weeks ago. Still like no sign of any refund. Overall service is disgusting.
