Uber has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,521 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Uber most frequently mention customer service, credit card, and phone number problems. Uber ranks 39th among Car Sharing sites.
Uber is a great way to get around the city. They have a convenient app, fast cars, and polite drivers. Sometimes prices can be high during peak demand
Unfortunately there is a zero star to rate this company. I was charged $110.00 for a "membership" that was never requested as I very rarely use this stupid service (it was used once since last year). After countless hours of messaging, as they do not dignify a mortal customer with a phone call in order to be as anonymous and detached as possible to keep on offering no customer service, I was informed that nice Uber would reimburse a whole amount of $30.00. What a scam! NEVER again will I deal with this "mafia" like so called company. Horrible!
This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I wanted to start using the Uber service, but I never dreamed that you would rob me in this strange way before my very first ride. I only stay with Bolt, where whenever I needed help with anything, they helped me IMMEDIATELY and with a nice attitude, they obviously have no need to rob their clients. I will continue to address the situation and delete your application. If paying back £14 that you stole from a client based on a fabricated FOUR year old process is such a problem for you, then it speaks to the desperate situation of this company and the even more desperate attitude towards your clients. This would never happen with Bolt. This is no longer about £14, but about an absolutely unbelievable attitude and ripping off clients. Here you can see that stealing £14 is more important to you than keeping/getting a client. Approach as from the last century. So I'm filing an official complaint against you for this theft, if it can't be resolved through customer service. Thank you for nothing.
HAD MULTIPLE RIDES SEVERAL TIMES WITH "UBER". VERY TRUSTWORTHY WITH RESPECTFUL DRIVERS. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT THE CASE OF "YELLOW CAB" THAT EMPLOYS LIKELY DELINQUENT&CRIMINAL DRIVERS AS OF THE PERCEIVED. SO HERE IS ONE EXAMPLE OF SECULAR MODEL OF YELLOW CAB DELINQUENT PICK ME UP AT THE RACETRAC HAS ALMOST HIT ME & EVEN THREW MY SUITCASE FROM THE CAR ON THE GROUND VERY HARD AND FAR AWAY JUST BECAUSE SHE GOT MAD WHEN I ASKED HER TO CLOSE HER TWISTED CAR DOOR FOR ME! A VERY BIG & TALL LADY UNDER TOXIC SUBSTANCES & LOSS OF HOPE AS OF THE PERCEIVED. WATCH MY DELAYED "EXOTIC LAWSUIT" ON THE RISE!
PS: HELLO YELLOW CAB, DON'T EVEN THINK I FORGAVE THE CRUELTY AND VIOLENCE THAT HAD ESSENCE FROM ONE OF YOUR INTOXICATED AND UNAWARE DRIVERS AS DISTINGUISHED ABOVE. A FIRM LAWSUIT IS THEREFORE TAKING PLACE AND IS ON ITS WAY MOVING SURELY AND SLOWLY JUST LIKE A TURTLE BUT WITH A LONG STEP!
I have asked several times from the tech support team " where would I go to print up ALL
My receipts with Uber... Uber wants to charge me $1.00 join a service for that fee
THAT IS RIDICULOUS AND CHEAP OF THEM
THUMBS DOWN UBER ZERO RATING FOR YOU
I decided to drive for Uber to make a few extra bucks primarily during Packer games since I live a couple blocks from the stadium. I submitted my documents and it took two weeks to be approved. And then drove for approximately six weeks. With Uber taking 25% off the top you don't get paid much unless you have surges. One day my account was blocked. I proceeded to call customer service and that is when the games began. Over the next two months and over eight phone calls, trying to appeal, this mistake they said that I submitted fraudulent or suspected fraudulent documents. How could I have passed the background if I submitted fraudulent documents. And if I did submit fraudulent documents, Uber didn't catch it right away and put many people at risk. Needless to say I did not submit fraudulent documents, appealed their mistake I was ultimately blocked for good. You cannot talk to anybody who makes decisions. Just airheads who apologize and speak very broken English. I wish this company would go bankrupt! It's an absolute joke. No offices that you can go to with your documentation to prove your $#*! ain't fraudulent. There must be a way to hold this company accountable for their mistakes.
I picked up a ride and the customer wanted to know how much uber was paying the deiver. Long stoey short, the customer was being charged $155 CAD for a ride while the deiver was receiving $70 including tips. So basically whwn the customer found out both the driver and the customer were shocked to find out that uber had a serious math lroblem because that is not 25% that uber claims to be deducting. Not to mention, the driver has to report that income and pay tax on it, pay for car and everything inbetween while uber claims loss every year and keeps on making free money.
I am Active Duty Army. I tried to apply to be a driver for Uber. They will not accept my valid drivers license. My license has an expectation date of 00/00/0000 because under Tennessee law it does not expire until I exit the service. Uber's automated email system kept telling me that it was expired. When I emailed the help line, I got an email back saying this:
"we understand that you had a question about requesting an exception to our requirement for a valid State driver's license. I'm afraid that we are currently unable to allow exceptions to this requirement. We know that Active Duty Service Members may relocate frequently. While many local regulations recognize this, these terms do not necessarily apply beyond personal driving."
There is nothing wrong with my license, I am not asking for an exemption. My license is valid.
On top of that I had to jump through hoops to get my account reset because when I drunkenly set it up the first time I put in the wrong email.
So I am beyond fed up with this company. I'm moving to Lyft!
I usually open up both apps when looking for a taxi and go with the less expensive being that they're basically the exact same cabs. Uber usually wins
Worst uber experience ever. The driver got on the freeway the wrong way going downtown when I needed to go uptown - didn't even realize his mistake. I was yelling at him to get off the freeway and 30 blocks out of the way he finally got off. And then I told him to stop the meter so he did, and then restarted it at that location. Ummmm excuse me, why should I be paying for 30 blocks OUT OF THE WAY. I just paid 30 extra blocks just to get back to where we started. And then I got charged for BOTH of those mistakes. In addition, when he finally got on the right freeway I had to direct his every step bc he wasn't paying attention and was on the verge of missing every freeway exit. The worst part - uber only refunded me the 8 dollars in the wrong direction and not for the extra 30 blocks back to my starting point. Horrible customer service uber. I shouldn't have to pay to get back to my starting point. I was so mad I took a taxi home instead of my usual uber.
We ordered an Uber ahead of time scheduled it so that we could make a restaurant reservation and Uber charged us four times the normal rate because we scheduled it we find that to be price gouging the original cost if we waited until it was time to leave for the reservation it was $15 when we schedule them out it was $45, this is price gouging we will never use Uber again we will use Lyft
Tip for consumers:
Don’t pre schedule a ride they will charge you 4 times the normal rate

Well I've been reading the Uber reviews on here and they are hilarious. I just started driving for Uber this week. So far 5 trips. 90.33 for Uber. 66.50 for me. I don't think that's too bad. Could be better yes, but not bad. As a driver you can deduct all Uber mileage at the federal rate of. 575 as of this review which will change your tax liability. This is a good thing. You will get to keep most of your money earned. I think the app works fine, would like to know where passenger is going before I take fare, but that's ok. I like the fact that I can drive when I want. I think most of these reviews are from taxi companies trying to take them out of business. No one ever is going to charge 300. For a 12 mile cab ride. You all are idiots. Uber is a great idea that I wish I would have thought of. Uber requires your car to be 2005 or newer. I'm sure there's a few Uber drivers that suck, but that is to be expected. Give bad reviews and they will be suspended. Cab companies beware I think your time has come...
Driver never showed and had the audacity to charge me for the full ride. I paid for it, was left with no ride and super late for my event. I finally called a cab - yes a CAB which showed up, more than I can say for MARIO, Jersey City driver from hell. If you see Mario as your ride, cancel it asap. He charged me 100%, for a ride I never took. Never saw him, ever. Uber refused to credit my account, after 4 requests. So here is how they do business: Charge you whatever they want, and never even have to pick you up or be accountable for leaving you stranded. I WILL NEVER USE UBER AGAIN! By the way, how about common courtesy for a customer who was been a loyal passenger for years, this is how they treat people. BE warned, until you face it, you won't believe it. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE whatsover. I boycott Uber and will pass the word along as many times as I can
Kunta left right as I walked up to board the vehicle. She had just called me and I confirmed that we were almost there. She drove off without calling me & I was charged $5. Complete BS. F uber

I traveled with the Uber Swift car (MH-14 FC 1375) at Hinjewadi, Pune Maharatstra. I am travelling at night time the driver is not driving car properly and always looking at the mirror.
I change my place the he again adjust the mirror toward me. I have left the car in between.
The driver was drank... and talking in rude language.
The Uber is not keeping good drivers.
Hey guys I agree with you on how uber and lyft is so corrupt, they make rules that they don't abide by. They have people driving for them that are using account that someone open for them and whats crazy is that the customer doesn't even look to see if it's the correct driver, also you have these bad drivers which smoke marijuana with customers and don't care about the customer or the service that they provide at all. It works both ways. But rideshare treats driver as slaves some of the things that happen uber or lyft takes no action to help correct all they care about is the all mighty dollar. And how they treat customers is ridiculous also no customer what's so ever. Whoever is behind the scene with these companies are unprofessional and do t know what there doing. And the hubs for those companies are unprofessional also if you have to find other rideshare companies that will that you better and not cheat you out of you fares or pay. Good drivers suffer for the bad. I'm saying this from experience I went above and beyond.
Recently signed up with Uber; first time tried to use was in Miami area; drivers never showed up ($35 cab ride back to hotel), emailed and complained to Uber, they sent email back telling me that they reset my phone number and now everything SHOULD work; tried again next evening, went out to dinner with friends, once again used Uber app and sure enough it sent me to another window asking if I would pay SURGE, first time said NO, then immediately sent to another page asking "ARE YOU SURE" said NO once again, then was informed car on way, waited outside of restaurant 15+ minutes and NO Uber, hailed taxicab ($40) back to hotel. Then next day found $55 cancellation charge on credit card... thank goodness Wells Fargo understood and removed charge, Wells Fargo agent said they have had several of these experiences
Walmart Delivery thru Uber where there is apparently no accountability. Driver Juan left my order at another apartment complex & sent the picture of the other address. I called him 8x & he disconnected me. Walmart ssys they can't help as it's Uber. This is the 2nd time my deliveries were wrong thru Uber. Shame on Uber. Shame on Walmart
Uber is literally looting it's customers in the name of SURGED FARES in PUNE. After 6:30 evening whenever you try to book an Uber Cab... fares are surged. Starting from 1.2 X(available for minutes only) it goes to 2.6X till 8 pm and that too in norm days. Leave aside in rains even if there are cabs available in that area. I don't understand it's parameters of surging. In a minute you see 1.2X surged fare and the next minute that fare expiresand you have to pay 2.4X. People you can try it yourself. Simply Cheating!
Why did I just get an unauthorized charge at 4a on my debit card by uber? I haven't consistently used uber since 2017. Last week I had to use them to get to get home from the hospital because was just coming back out of sedation and heavy pain medication and couldn't drive my myself home for the safety of myself and others. I also had to use them to go back to the hospital the next day to get my car. I uninstalled that same day because I don't need their services after I got my car back. So now uber is doing fraudulent transactions. Also, there is no way to contact uber to resolve the issue. This is a crime and very unprofessional business
Uber has now done this twice. When payment is supposed to be deposited it somehow ends up not being done and put into a wallet telling me I won't get my earnings for another week until the next scheduled deposit. After being run around for 3 days nothing but the same generic replies. Nothing happens. Telling me they are wrong but still hold my money then tell me it has been deposited when it is still clearly in the wallet in my account. Now I'm losing a week because they owe me 800 dollars and can't pay my bills like I'm supposed to. They should not be allowed to get away with this. They praise me as a diamond driver but treat me like poop. I want everyone to know. Stay away from Uber. It's a joke and they do not care. I'm losing everything because they mishandle everything. I have put screenshots of there bull and can add plenty more... They need to be taken off the platform for ripping people off and getting away with it. Also taking more money then they are supposed to per trip. They treat us like a cab when we pay for everything and yet still can't get paid.

Don’t use Uber
My 18 yr old daughter a college student was charged $250 for a ride that cost $45 on the way there. It was her first time using UBER and was not informed of the surcharge which they said was 2.8X but by my math 5X+ her cost their. There should be laws to prevent such gouging - SHAME ON YOU>
Let me start by saying it is way too complicated getting a hold of Uber and working with their customer service. For some reason Uber decided to start randomly charging me 14.99 a month, with reoccurring payments. I did not realize they were doing this for 6 months. After further research it seemed that they were charging me for a ride pass' of which I never signed up for, nor do I live in a city that benefits from this. That aside, it didn't show me on my account that I was even paying for this either, so I wasn't even able to cancel this payment, that, let me remind you, I DIDNT SIGN UP FOR. In the end, after hours of trying, they would only repay me for one month and I had to delete my account all together to ensure these payments would stop taking money from my bank account. This is unfortunate because I was a very active Uber rider, Lyft it is I guess!
I am physically disabled and was staying at a resort in Orlando, Florida without a vehicle. This individual is one of 3 Uber drivers, within a 4 day period, who was very rude and refused to transport me because I have a trained Service Dog. He said that under "Uber rules" I was suppose to ask for an Uber pet transport which requires paying a higher rate. It was obvious that this individual had no understanding of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), nor did he have accurate information regarding Ubers rules. I would hope that Uber educates their drivers about the ADA rules & regulations and the difference between a "Service Dog" and a "pet dog". It is against ADA regulations to charge extra for transporting a disabled person with a Service Dog—this can result in a $200 fine if reported to the ADA.
In Istanbul, Turkey there are good drivers (honest), bad (try to cheat with asking for CASH instead of credit card), and REALLY ugly (leaving you far from destination with some lame false excuse.
Good... older Turkish men who care about the image of Turkish people and Turkey to visitors.
Bad... the younger drivers, smoking in the their cars when they pull up to your location for pick up, and then try to get you to pay extra and in cash.
REALLY ugly... middle aged Turkish drivers who "blah blah blah" all the way during the trip, and then expect a tip because they talked to you -- even if you just wanted to sit quietly and chill.
Everyone... it's hit and miss. Try to feel out the driver before getting in. If the vibes are not good, or the interior of the car looks like it's been through WW III... cancel out and complain to your credit card company if they charge a cancellation feel.
The real sad part is that these young guys give a bad name to the entire Turkish population and the country. This is the consequence of their bad behavior.
UBER SUCKS! MY DRIVER NEVER SHOWED UP. I GOT A TEXT SAYING MY DRIVER WOULD B HERE IN 3 MINS AND I WAITED AN HOUR. I never received any pictures email or phone numbers either. I CALLED YELLOW CAB AND SOMEONE WAS HERE IN 5 MINS. THEY HAVE NO PERMITS AND THEY NEED TO B SHUT DOWN. THEY ALSO HAVE NO COMMERICAL INSURANCE. SO IF YOUR DRIVER GETS IN AN ACCIDENT YOU WILL NOT BE COVERED! HOW UNSAFE. F*** THAT COMPANY! NEVER AGAIN.
Tip for consumers:
ITS UNSAFE AND NOT PERMITTED BY ANY STATE YET. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
The driver never showed up even though he messaged me he would be here in 25 min. I had to search the site and hours later it said driver cancelled. They are a joke of a business.
