Unfortunately there is a zero star to rate this company. I was charged $110.00 for a "membership" that was never requested as I very rarely use this stupid service (it was used once since last year). After countless hours of messaging, as they do not dignify a mortal customer with a phone call in order to be as anonymous and detached as possible to keep on offering no customer service, I was informed that nice Uber would reimburse a whole amount of $30.00. What a scam! NEVER again will I deal with this "mafia" like so called company. Horrible!
Used to be good until drivers in remoter areas learned how to team up, and game the system. Available drivers turn down the fares, to create a backlog and drive the price up, and then they all accept them when they get above a certain threshold. Knowing people will have no choice but to pay

If you don't tip, UBER will be automatically lower your rating (*). Once lowered it will not go back up even if you start tipping. Unacceptable behavior by a company that earns billions by exploiting its employees and customers.
Requested a Uber in Las Vegas. Was standing in front of the Uber designated pickup spot for hotel when ordered Uber. Contacted driver after waiting 25 minutes. He said I was at wrong spot hung up on me and cancelled my pickup and charged me. Uber refuses to refund that charge. I've contacted them several times and they send me the exact generic email saying no refund. Horrible customer service will never use Uber again.
I would not recommend Uber to anyone. Its like a scam. They lie about the estimated rated that your ride will be. They charge you double or triple the price a regular cab service will charge you. I used uber for the first time 2 weeks ago and when i look at my receipt, my destination was not where my driver had left me. I sent them an email and they had claimed a refund of $17 was going to be refunded into my account. Until this day i still have not received my refund. Plus they have your credit card information but no phone number for their riders to call? Its like they hide behind the internet and you just have to hope someone responds to your email. I will never use this service again.

Constant problems in Manhattan. I get msg - that 'driver arriving now' and then nothing. And they then have the audacity to charge a cancellation fee. I am deleting this app from my phone. There has got to be a better service than Uber
Been using it for years and it's been great until the other day when a deranged uber driver drove off with all of our luggage while on vacation. Waited for well over an hour. Had to file a police report. The police was instrumental in getting our items back to us. We got it back after 4 hours of waiting in a police station. The driver didn't apologize or anything- he was deranged. I would need a refund and a sizable credit if I am ever to use uber again- so far that hasn't happened. One of the uber reps was terrible. Another was better. This company is like russian roulette- you never know what you're going to get. Update: uber's offer for having 5 pieces of our luggage stolen including prescription medication, passport and laptop etc was $5 to use towards our next trip. What next trip? I won't ever be using it again. Now that I know how poorly run it is. So far as I know that deranged driver is still working for them.
For a service that asks for your credit card number right off the bat - they should really provide a support phone number. I trust you with my credit card information and all you give us is a general support email? I don't want to write you an email that gets responded to in a week when it comes to my money. People will be upset by this no matter what.
On another note, I see a lot of bad reviews on your company masked by fake good reviews on Yelp. Way to go, Uber.
It is so incredible the stupidity of customer service people. I use these rides so often and because some of the controversial cancellation fees that were the results of bad drivers, they would not dispute these charges and lost the business for good from me. I have explained and escalated, the "machine" would not reasonably consider my complaint. Although Lyft nowadays are extremely expensive during the rush hours, given the bad service I received, I would not go back to UBER every again. How stupid this could be!
So I scheduled a ride 3 days ahead of time to take me from home to the hospital for an urgent appointment. Everything is scheduled, although the app is terrible and useless the big issue is my credit card gets charged 2 days before the date, oh well seems odd but it is what it is... here's the best part ---ready...5 minutes after my scheduled pickup I get a message from Uber saying no drivers available to pick you up. What a SCAM Uber...never again will I even try to use Uber.

Very convenient/useful/good to have and important if you don't own your own car or can drive. The prices are suprisingly very affordable. I will definitely never call or take a taxi ever again lol. Everytime I have used Uber before, they are usually there and show up within 15 minutes of me submitting the order. You can watch the driver in live time they the map on the Uber app so you know where he is and how far
Uber signed me up for a pass of $99.99 that I did not sign up for, and it charged my credit card.
I tried to contact Uber via phone call, live chat, text & email messages for more than 3 hours so far, but no response. Uber only sent me automated response saying that it has responded to my issue.
I vow never ever to use Uber, again, and will delete all of it's existence on my phone after the inappropriate or illegal charge is returned to me.
I've been using Uber for a good 3 years now. Going to and from the airport, events and other places I want to go but don't want to hassle with finding parking or walking through acres of parking lot after I've arrived. Love the convenience of being picked up and dropped of right at the front door and I've had such nice experiences with meeting the most kind and positive Uber drivers. I've been around for a long time and am glad there is a service like this now. I have had great experiences with Uber in all cities I've visited. Sometimes the drivers can be a bit sketchy but you get that with taxi's too. Good for cities like san francisco when stuck in a place or new york and can't get a taxi ride.
UBER has absolute terrible customer service. Someone hacked my account but fortunately can't charge my credit card. Afterwards, I can't activate my account. After numerous emails with help. Uber with numerous useless advices like resetting password numerous time... it is still a NO. After 10 days, my account still does not work and the only way to contact them is via the help. Uber service site. The response turn around time is 24 hours. The worst thing is that the responses are robotic and really do not try to solve your problem. I will starting using other car service. Uber should be punished for offering such poor service.

I USE to drive for Uber but no more. Uber screws their drivers over... especially when they offer the guaranteed rates. You can never find out exactly how you're doing to see if you still qualify for the guarantee so you have to continue driving the entire 30-50 hrs to find out you did not qualify because of some stupid technicality... like 89.3% acceptance rate.
They also screw over their customers. I had a rider get into my car by mistake so she still wanted to ride with me. When she cancelled her original request they charged her a $5 fee & when she put in another request while sitting in my car it gave her a different driver so she had to keep cancelling those drivers while being charged a cancellation fee until the uber app gave her my car as the right driver.
Unlike Lyft, Uber does not pay too fees either.

Makes it near impossible to find a contact option and no number is available. Recently switched their payment method so that PayPal credit is not available. PayPal charged my directly because of Uber.
Uber, BAD EXPERIENCE, and so poor service.
A manual transaction (outside App) to a driver went wrong, then they go in and mess with balance.
Explained several times, like they do not read, instead empty standard reasons, which by the way have no merit in the context.
Arrogant customer service.
Cannot see transactions of wallet, because App does not provide, like they blind you.
App now shows error, they been in business 10 years or what, and cannot ensure simple flows work proper, even provided screenshots, is being ignored.

Don't waste your money on inexperienced drivers and lousy service. It is not convenient as you think; once they have your credit card they will bill you no matter what. Avoid this scam; use normal regulated taxi service.
They will steal your money by charging you for trips you didn't make and when you go to complain customer service doesn't even work if you are reading this be smart I'm saving you big time.

I have 3 mystery trips appear on my bank account that i have paid for a never took. Trying to get uber to give back the money is like getting blood from a stone. I gave them dates, times, amounts and a screen shot of my bank statement. Still not good enough. Will never use again, criminals.
After ordering out uber, we had waited quite awhile and could see on the App she continued to sit at the gas station down the road for 15 minutes. I called to ask her if she was still coming and she yelled at me "I'm $#*!ing driving down the road to get your $#*!ing $#*! you $#*!" after that I told her to cancel the drive because I did not want to ride with someone who was so rude and disrespectful. She needed up charging me anyways.
I am not one to write reviews but this was the worst service/ person I have ever had to deal with.
I have used Uber pretty much since it was introduced. However, now that Uber tracks your location EVEN if your phone is OFF, i'm out. I will never use Uber again until they change this policy. Deleted it from every device in my family and am passing the word to everyone who will listen to do the same.
If your a driver and want my business, switch to Lyft.

They also charged me over $100 on Halloween night for a 10 minute drive. If I would have know the surge charge would have been this much I would have called a different cab service. What's interesting is that same night we got a different Uber driver and they did not have a surge charge. So I'm guessing it's up to the $#*! hole driver. But regardless I will not be using Uber ever again. I'm a poor college student who was just trying to be responsible on Halloween night and not drink and drive. But $114 cab rides I cannot afford. Don't take uber. Call lyft, discount cab, or any other service.
The prices have been ridiculously high... they ripped me off so many times by charging more than the price shown upfront the last one was a toll fee according to them and there was no toll on the trip... sometimes the price can be fairly reasonable but i won't see the driver and if I cancel and request another ride the price will double or triple. Screw Uber!
