THANK YOU VIRGINA!
June 7, 2022

I called in to inquire in reference to a notice of payment. I then learned that I had opted in my last notification to choose preventive NOT comprehensive! Virginia responded in a positive direct manner allowing me to "vent" and then answer questions appropriately.

I have been working for United healthcare approved agency for over 5 years now. I have never seen this kind of corruption and greed. They are only in this to line the pockets of the investors and top executives. They have now denied coverage on my homebound patients 80% of them. Some of these patients have been with the agency for over 6 years with severe conditions such as MS, amputations, stiff man syndrome, some are bedbound and then all of a sudden they are not getting coverage because they do not meet qualifying factors? What do they just rot away in their beds and die of wounds and infections? Because United is F#$ing greedy as hell. Its worse then drug money they are making money of these sick, dying elderly that are not getting serviced. I get phone calls daily from my patients crying. I refuse to work for them anymore as a nurse and will go with other agencies that do not take them as the insurer. Its down right disgusting!

After multiple years of paying for allergy shoots for our son, UHC decided in October of last year that "allergy shots are not medically necessary" and that basically anything to do with allergy medications or healthcare is junk science. This change occurred in the last quarter of our policy year, so it was a change midstream of coverage. We actually increased our policy in January and they still refuse to pay for allergy shots. The "Doctor" that reviewed whether allergy shots are medically necessary? A plastic surgeon! How bad of a plastic surgeon do you have to be that you are sitting behind a desk reviewing paperwork?

I tried to get individual insurance (not through my employer) recently and I did not qualify simply because my wife is diabetic. I was transferred to the Affordable Care Act instead. I thought this was not happening anymore. Sadly, that is not the case.

#FEEDBACK

I am a provider. As of this correspondence I have been on hold for 1 hour and 8 minutes. It took my colleague to place a second to get movement on the call for the patient to be supported. The people who answer the phone appear to be good people, their systems appeared to be flawed.

Incompetent and arrogant!
September 1, 2020

Dr. Nirpaul Bains from Fresno threw away forms that needed to be sent out for a patient, without telling the patient! And failed to send the second round of forms! He doesn't read patient's file before, his advice contradict each other from one visit to another, and he blames it on the patient that he is incapable to keep things straight. His "team" seems extremely preoccupied with being rude with patients and gossiping with each other, instead of sending referrals for patients. I had only a couple of referrals that made it to the right destination in 3 months, but not: supplies, third party provider (for hematology services their clinic does not provide). Dr. Nirpaul Bains seems very preoccupied with his nurses and staff, instead of taking care of his patients. It took Dr. Bains 3 months to fail to send the correct referrals with all the codes needed! Dr. Bains, a patient could die without the necessary services, in case you did not understand this much from your medical school!

Negligent
August 5, 2022

My mom spent over 5 months fighting them to get me coverage that I qualify for. Over 10 years of proof that I am disabled. It wasn't enough for them and they kept "losing" forms we would send. Because of them my condition is relapsed and now I need higher levels of care. Even now that I'm searching for help, an admission person calls me to tell me the insurance says I shouldn't be on my mom's plan because I'm over 26 and shouldn't have coverage. Like are you an idiot? How are you going to tell people that

OTC sucks!
July 15, 2023

Some many products are backordered. They don't tell you unless you call. It can take weeks or months to get even needed items. They will not even consider a refund for 12 working days. I was denied a refund even though I was waiting months. The customer service call center is understaffed and overburdened so hold times even for talking to a supervisor can be almost an hour. UHC customer service is not much better.

I have register to login. After login, I could not see a health benefit. Called uhc about this issue. A person said after 24 hour, the information will be available. Wait for a few days after making call to uhc, I have checked in a few number of times by login. The myuhc system does not recognize my username. I could not login at all.

I have tooth treatment appointment with my dental office. To be secure, I need obtain pre-authorization before proceeding on. It take 3+ month and hours of call on to push the pre-authorization moving. Every time I called in to check the progress, UHC just tell you different reason of pending. Every call took hours for just waiting for agent to search and find the recorder. And I have to tell my story starting from begining over and over for the agent to understand. I start doubt if UHC a honest insurance company or just premium thief at large. I never experience insurance company like that. It is so pain that even more than treatment of my tooth.
