My son religiously pops a bubble each day when he returns home from work. Without your bubble calendar, I would have to fashion one up myself, at great frustration. So Uncommon Goods offers us a compact, fun-filled activity certain to make any household function better. Just wish the price were less!
So I used to buy from this site - used to. Last order, the snuck in a "perks" membership. By the time I see my credit card bill to pay - it's past the 30 days to cancel. This is just fraud. Memberships should be a proactive choice, not a sneaky charge. I'm done with this company.
I ordered an Adam Frank lumen candle. Pictures and the video were beautiful. In reality, the product threw much smaller shadows and the oil reservoir is not refillable. It says 17 hours of light, but I don't believe it was lit for more than 10 hours. Then you are forced to buy additional fuel cells. I'm going to try votive candles and see if that works.
Uncommon goods has some really unique and interesting products: laser pointers, recycled items made into jewelry, pill cases, baby items, wallets & bags, decorations, games, crafts, plates & bowls, glasses, & lots more. This really is my 'go to' spot for the really-hard-to-buy for people in my life!
I think some of the prices are on the high side, but I love the sales!

I always return to this store for Christmas gifts because they have some truly creative items at a great price range. I was especially impressed with how quickly and considerately they helped me handle a problem with my recent order (which turned out to be entirely UPS's fault). Customer service reached out to me (!) almost immediately and worked to resolve my issue that night. I later heard back quickly when I needed to return the replacement items (when the originals, delivered to another block, were kindly returned by an honest neighbor!). Best customer service ever!
Over the last few months, I've bought several unusual, customized gifts for Christmas, birthdays and baby arrivals! All brought surprise and gratitude to the recipients. One of them - I had a few questions about customization and I was thrilled with the personalized customer service. This company under promises and over delivers. My only tiny suggestion is to include an actual gift card with order.
Love everything about this company. From the unique products, the delivery time (one week exactly from order date) to their outstanding customer service. Everything I have bought as either a gift, or something for myself has been good quality, and for the most part just as pictured on the site. For the few things I have wanted to return, they were very accommodating. The fact that they are a B Corporation only helps make them more wonderful in my opinion. Life-long customer for sure. I tell everyone I know about this site.
Seems to be a common theme, I ordered on 12/13, chose shipping option to be here by 12/21, as of 12/22, product has not shipped warehouse. I would avoid unless you want a barren looking Christmas tree this year.
We did purposely hold some orders in our warehouse for a few days but we upgraded shipping at no cost to the customers. However, your order should have arrived within the time frame you selected. I paid the shipping costs for an order to arrive no later than 5/21. My husband's birthday is on 5/24. I checked the UPS tracking and it is arriving on 5/26. I will not have a gift for my husband on his birthday now. I am incredibly disappointed in uncommongoods. Customer service rep. "Jamaica Lewis" could care less and actually tried to blame UPS when in fact, uncommongoods are the ones who shipped the package late. Refunded shipping costs as if that makes up for being empty handed on my husbands birthday. Disgraceful way to do business.

Every time I try to checkout I receive an error in accepting my payment due to being flagged as "potentially fraudulent". I've used different cards, different computers, you name it. I give up, and you will not be getting a dime from me.

I contacted your customer service department to see if one of your newspaper books (birthday or baseball) could be made with the San Francisco Chronicle instead of the selections presented Unfortunately this was not the case. I think this is an area that uncommon goods should look into to broaden their base of customers.

Placed an order in November. I kept tracking it with no movement. I inquired via chat. I was told it was lost in shipping and to ask for a refund or re-order. Only 2 items are available. The other 2 won't arrive until 1/6. They say stuff will arrive by 12/24, but beware and order somewhere else.

If you are a fan of Etsy, you'll find yourself falling absolutely in love with UncommonGoods. The items they offer are similar to those found on Etsy, but the website is much easier to browse- especially if you're looking for something specific. Additionally, the website offers many handmade items as well as recycled items, so you'll still have the option to help out the artist community and be green-friendly.
I really love this website and highly recommend it.

Not big or heavy but for around $120 in goods they wanted near $80 in freight.
Customer service no help.
Bought similar goods elsewhere similar price freight cist $7.95.
I wont be buying off uncommon goods ever.

Our economy domestic shipping starts at $4.95, and we've just launched a program called Perks, which gives customers a year of free standard (3-5 business day) shipping for $19. We do hope you decide to give us another chance in the future!
Ordered something and it didn't come in time. I reached out to ask and they said it was shipped but shippers don't update their site. Three weeks later it still shows shipper never received it. They finally admit they lost it, the item is discontinued and there is nothing they can do. They made no attempt to make it right. They just took my money and never would have said anything if I hadn't complained many many times before I got my refund. It's a scam.

Order gifts for grandchildren on November 30. Did not get email confirmation, but credit card was charged, called company, they sent me a confirmation and said package would arrive no later than December 15. I was unable to track package with the information they sent me. Called back on December 16 to report no package. The response was... oh well guess its lost in transit, I can reshape, but 2 of the 5 items are out of stock. I cancelled order and will never try to do business with this company again!

First of all, the products are unique and very well made. I've ordered here many times. For a gift for my mom I ordered a hummingbird feeder with several small glass containers within a metal frame. When she opened the package, one of the glass containers was cracked. I called customer service, expecting there to be quite a run-around, since the item was made by an artist - but nope... they shipped a new one out to her IMMEDIATELY and sent me a return label at the same time - no delay for return of the broken item... nada. Mom had her hummingbird feeder in a couple of days. And I should add that in the several years I've ordered items here, this is the one and only time there was any sort of issue. - I suspect it stemmed from rough handling. Awesome website and catalog.
I ordered a couple of items from Uncommon Goods mid-December and it is now January 11 and they still have not arrived. Customer service is zero help, advising that "the items are on their way". They gave me tracking numbers that said the items would be delivered January 10 yet they have been in a city 200 miles away since January 8 and haven't moved. It doesn't get any worse than this. Stay away from Uncommon Goods!

I'm always on the look out for interesting gifts and this site has them in abundance! Just be sure to give it enough time to ship and near Christmas orders might come afterward... to remedy that, I made a paper copy of the item ordered and wrapped that in a box with the shipping information also inside. This site is one of my New Favorite sites to shop when looking for gifts.
I had never shopped with this company before, but after my first experience, this will be my "go too" catalog for unique gifts. I purchased a reflective light that arrived broken. When I called all they requested was a photo of the damage. No questions asked, they immediately sent out a new lamp. I had the new lamp within 3 days. Wonderful customer service!
I bought three gifts from their website and paid for 3-5 days shipping. It's been 10 days and the packages have not arrived. It missed my friend's birthday. When I try the 'track and manage' it glitches and says it cannot find my order. When I write to customer services they tell me it will arrive tomorrow, but it never does. I fear this is a scam and they take your money and dont deliver anything

I was intrigued by the catalogue but never heard of the company so I checked reviews. Since most of the recent ones were positive, I placed an order even though there are so many negatives. I took review advise and only ordered items in stock and all arrive before the promised date. Customer Service was knowledgeable and aimed to please. I thought there was a problem with shipment of one item and the rep handled it with empathy and urgency. It ended up that I was in wrong.
My mom ordered a cookie advent calendar from them as a gift for me since I love to bake. I was so excited when I got it - 6 new cookie recipes to bake throughout the month? Yes! However, as I started opening the boxes there were numerous ingredients missing. Numerous pockets would be empty when I opened them with some of the ingredients having fallen to lower pockets and others missing entirely, no where to be found. So far I can only bake 1 out of the 4 recipes I've opened. We've tried contacting them about this, but they will not return any of our calls or emails. It is the most disappointing advent calendar I have ever received, and the most unhelpful site I have ever dealt with.

I ordered wooden bookends that were made to look worn, but the items I received had obvious scratches that were not natural and that interfered with the writing on the objects. I submitted a picture and an explanation and was told that all objects differ and are supposed to be worn and "natural" looking. I was offered a $5 credit but no refund or exchange option. Why would I need $5 to spend with a company I am not satisfied with?

I ordered a print in early December, it's now mid January and nothing has arrived. No updates from the company. They did however manage to charge my credit card, a charge which I am now disputing. Absolutely the worst experience ever.
