We had awesome customer service and no issues whatsoever, unlike previous place. My son received his crabs within 18 hours of ordering them, they are alive and healthy and he is so happy, will only use them from now on.

If feel dumb and deceived for trusting this website and shame on me for not looking at reviews before I ordered. I surprised my wife with a Tokay Gecko, was so excited and relieved him with in 24 hrs of ordering. Upon arrival he was extremely skinny and very underweight. Being reptile owners we were upset but sprung into action and did everything possible to bring him back. He was 12 inches and only weighed 68gr. Being that long and age he should have been close to 120g at least. Not knowing anything about his living conditions prior we just figured of course they didn't feed them well. We got him in his enclosure and gave him about 4-5 days to acclimate to his home. During the time we gave him crickets, supermorms and roaches. He would strike but not eat or put it in his mouth shake and spit them out. After day 5 we decided to take the chance and get him out. We'd get him to open his mouth and toss in a worm here and there. We thought it was a win because he ate them. The problem after handling him he was so weak so we'd put him back and give him a couple days. This went on for a day short of a month when he passed away while trying to feed him. My heart breaks because we pour 1000% into our babies and we could not save him. We thought he was getting better and moving more but in the end we believe he was just hanging onto a string. I feel so sad, mad and down right heart broken about losing Arceus. He will forever be a God to us but we will never tell anyone to buy from Underground reptiles and will be deleting anything to do with them. NEVER BUY FROM THEM EVER!

My order for three sliders arrived, but the box felt too light. Upon opening the box, I found that it was empty, and appeared that it had never been used. I asked UR for an explanation and was told to "take it up with UPS". Since I cannot prove whether UR did not have the turtles, or whether shipping was asleep at the wheel, or that the UPS agent cut open the box, removed the turtles and then used identical tape to reclose the box, I'll need to absorb the loss and try to another supplier. Regardless, videotape your deliveries from UR while opening the box for proof of empty boxes.

Hi Marshall, We confirmed with our packing department that those turtles were indeed packed inside that box. We also asked for a video of the empty box and we were not provided one. We asked you to also make a claim with ups as well to help confirm that the box was not tampered with in transit. That has to be done by the receiver. We are very sorry for this occurance and would like to get to the bottom of this. Please send us a video of the empty box. Thank you very much.

They packed boas and 14 Jackson chameleons in one box, they arrived squished and after a month 11 of the jacksons and 3 of the boas were dead. Upon necropsy there were massive internal injury's from having no separation from the boas in bags and the jacksons loosly warped in paper. After numerous attempts to get this resolved I got no where. To make matters worse the boas had mites and I'm sure you all know what these can do to a colony.

Hi M V., we ship thousands of reptiles each week and have honed our packing to ensure safe, live arrival for our animals with the absolute lowest fatality rate possible. We have packed many more than 14 Jackson's Chameleons in one box before. We have many different sizes of boxes, so to represent that 14 should not have been in one box at a time is not correct since we have many different sizes of boxes to use for the exact number of animals we are shipping to a destination. The bags you are referring to breathe very well, especially when shipping in the summer months so the animals do not overheat. We are so sorry your experience was not perfect but we do look forward to serving you again in the future.

Although my Asian water monitor died just a few days after receiving him he died do to breathing problems I'm not asking for a refund or replacement I'm just telling everyone to have their reptile check by a vet.

When I ordered the product "Zoo Med Cn O' Snails" I was disgusted that the snails were DEAD! Not only did this ruin my dinner, but it carried massive disappointment to my local homeless friends. Despite this, the snails were of excellent quality and I got a great snack, however when I contacted your company they were saying that the snails were "not fit of human consumption" and "use to fed your pets"… which is interesting because the snails were delicious! Yummy, I will order this product again even if I went through the wrong advertisement.

Purchased a tarantula and a pixie frog. Communication was great, I like I could pick the shipping dates. Packaging was perfect, and the order arrived on time. I've ordered several animals from UGR in the past, and I've been happy each time.

I had a uromastyx shipped to my house in indiana and I asked about why no heat pack and they didnt want it to overheat (they are from florida). The uromastyx arrived at 9:44 am and the uromastyx was very cold and it seemed like it was dormant for a minute. But once i picked it up and placed it in the tank, 10 mins went by and it was active and laid down. It has not eaten yet most likely due to stress. But it has explored and seems very active and friendly. Just scared me that my first purchase felt like in the bag DOA (dead on arrival). But acting pretty docile and seems healthy. Thank you, Underground Reptiles for my Dream lizard.

Tip for consumers:
The shipping is overnight. So LOOK AT WEATHER FORECAST!!

Dear Rian Gittman,

I just wanted to express my experience towards you. Recently I purchased a uromastyx from you guys in November where it only lasted a month. I noticed a change in behavior where I contacted your company on what to do. I was told to soak it in water because it was "constipated" there had to be other issues going on then that. The gentleman told me that I could get a "discount" because of my lost but that is not good enough. I made a second purchase where I could pick it up at a facility. When I got to the facility there was no package to later hear from your employee that the item was "out of stock" no one contacted me about an out of stock issue. Over the last few days the item showed how many was in stock. It is unacceptable to be treated this way and sad to say I can't do business with this company again. At the end of the day thank you for my refund cause that's the best solution...

My daughter bought a baby iguana blue axanthic... it is HUGE, very mean, aggressive and has turned black despite the nearly 400 have spent on supplies and terrarium. My daughter is autistic and did research and studied how to be a good iguana owner and now cries daily bc for 2 weeks she cant touch it or even put her hand in to feed him. I'm sure he is 2-3 years old and was either never handled or was wild caught. I emailed them and they asked for pic of his habitat and temp. His habitat and temp r perfectly fine, it's the fact that he is huge and hasnt been handled that has made him mean and a huge disappointment for us all. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE bc although they respond with the are happy to assist, they cant assist bc they dont have a clue
The 1st pic is when he 1st arrived and the 2nd pic was 4 days later when he turned black. He is still black and has now been here 2 weeks

Bought 3 emperor scorpions from them and received them last Tuesday. Videotaped the unboxing like we alwsys do. 2 Scorpions we unresponsive and 1 would barely move. Underground reptiles called me to make sure everything was alright which was cool and emailed an issue form when i explained what had happened. I filled it out and called them the next day and they hadn't received it so i filled it out again. They still didnt get it but sent me an email to send video and pictures to. After a weekend of not hearing anything i called and was told i had an email with an offer to fix issues. Their offer? 50% off 1 emperor and reduce shipping to 30.00! So a replacement scorpion ( to replace 2) for only
$55.00. I will never do business with them again even though they have several other scorpions and snakes i want and I'll never recommend them to anyone. Worst shop ive had to deal with.

I ordered 4 tarantulas and they all arrived in healty condition in less than 24 hours. One of the species I originally ordered was out of stock. I got a call quickly and was assisted in picking out a different kind. I am pleased with the customer service and knowledge of staff. I am happy to add the new tarantulas to my collection.

Purchase a pixie frog which was on back order for a couple of weeks which was no problem when it became available I placed the order and I received a frog the next day I paid $45 in shipping for next day delivery. The frog lasted 2 days and died and underground reptiles blamed me saying I didn't have the proper setup which is completely false I've owned this type of frog for over 10 years and I know the setup it's needed and now they will not give me a refund.

Please do your dildos before you buy anything from this company Make sure they stand behind what they sell and can either issue a refund or an exchange for defective merchandise

They were wonderful to work with and super easy to get ahold of. I had ordered a Russian and then changed my mind the next day before shipping and decided to go with a baby sulcata. Not only did a person get on the phone and consult me with the differences they switched it out for me refunded the difference right then and shipped me my super healthy turtle. Super happy with them and would order from them again

I don't know got some hatchlings two bearded dragons and two corn snakes and a savanah monitor. Both bearded dragons died and one of my corn snakes died. All the dead ones wouldn't thrive for some reason. I wrote an email to the company but got no response. I am sad and not sure about getting any more babies from them for babies can have issues obviously. That's all I have to say buyer beware

So i ordered a 2-3 foot iguana and a baby red eared slider from the underground website and both came very happy and healthy. I did order a gecko which was WAAAY smaller than I thought but that was an issue on my part for not doing more research on it. They had nothing to do with my mistake. On the first of November im planning to order another red eared slider and even a common snapper because i trust these guys. You can take care of an animal to the best of youre ability and something still happen. Its the chance we all take as pet owners. I take all pets I get strait to my vet the day i get them to know there overall health. Still even then something could happen. I see a lot of people with bad reviews on here about the place and its kibda shockibg cause ive only gotten good animals with great customer service. Thanks UGR

This was my second order of isopods, and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the animals, the packing, and the level of customer service. I placed my order at 5:45 pm last night after work, and the shipment was delivered to my home this morning at 10 a.m. I received a follow up call within two hours of receipt, as well as follow up emails. This is the gold standard!

I was really surprised to find out that I could have iguanas delivered to my door from Florida with just a click of my finger. I am really happy with my new pets. I ordered a pair and the male is doing great, my female is slowly coming around and was effected the most from the shipping. It's been a little over a week and everything is well. I will be purchasing from underground reptiles again. I was getting txt alerts for my overnight shipping, and the box was delivered the next morning before 10am. And was contacted by staff to make sure everything was ok and satisfactory.

I purchased a Chameleon not knowing it was Wild Caught. When I wanted to cancel the purchase, they wouldn't let me do it. I did a thorough research to take the best care of this guy. I had a vet appointment and everything, but he only lived for 5 days. I contacted them and all the offereed was a "discount" for a new purchase. I won't be purchasing from them ever again because they clearly don't care for the wellbeing of the animals, only the sales.

I don't take pleasure in writing/giving poor reviews. That being said, if I can help others stay clear from the way I was treated then I feel like I must. I purchased a gecko from this company and while it arrived alive, it died not shortly after. I paid a little over $70 for this critter and took care of this critter to the best of my ability (and I own many other exotics) and asked if there was an option to replace it without breaking the bank and losing another $70 WITH the possibility of it just happening again. They essentially said something along the lines of: "Sorry for your loss, here is $5 take it or leave it." I'm sorry but this is a really bad way of treating customers (especially someone that was willing to repurchase). I told them about my dissatisfaction and they shrugged it off and said "you are entitled to $5." If you want to throw your money in a slot machine in terms of satisfaction, then this is the place, but I would much rather go elsewhere to an exotic pet company that is empathetic and actually cares about customer satisfaction.

We ordered a baby ball python. We ordered on a Saturday night they didn't ship him until monday which was great. He was over nighted and packed beautifully. He's absolutely gorg... And so even tempered. The tracking was perfect. I will order again
