U sell buys back your old cell phones while giving you top dollar for a used phone. You can also sell ipads, text books, ipods, and video games. The site has been featured all over the news so it is legitimate and gets you paid fast!
If I could give NO STARS I would! I recieved an offer for my iPod on 1/12/2024. Recieved my shipping kit no problems and sent in my device. Thats where things went wrong. It is now 2/13/2024. They have had my device a WHOLE MONTH and still no payment! I have written angry emails and all I get back is "2 business days". LIES! Still no payment!
USell ripped me off. I sent a perfect iPhone 5 and quoted a decent amount of money. They stated I had not erased the Find My iPhone app but I had. I tried calling but there is no telephone number, they recommended email. I emailed five different times but without a response. I requested in the last email to mail my phone back. No response. Now, they are going to give me 1/10th of what I was quoted. Rip off!
My phone was in good condition. The website offered me $45. I mailed it in and they said it was damaged - so they offered me $1! I had read the reviews and thought - well my phone is in good condition - I won't believe those reviews! Liars they are! Believe the reviews! I am so mad! I'd rather donate it than have them pay me a buck! Shame on you Usell!
Overall, the only thing I was disturbed was the pay for my iPod. It was a brand-new device, never been used, but you guys downgraded it to being "fair" device. That was very disappointing as at that time really needed the funds.
I have used uSell before with no issues, but something is definitely wrong. Everyone is having the same issue. They send in a phone and then get a message saying it is received, but no more responses and no check and no payment and emails with no response. They still have my phone since 9/11/19.
Don't believe any review you read unless it is one star or less. USELL are thieves... I sent my iPad to them in working, really perfect condition -- it was just older. I had it wrapped in bubble wrap x 4 so there was no damage during shipping. The offer was $120. They received it and claimed it was damaged and counteroffered $20! I declined and requested an explanation of what was damaged. NO RESPONSE. I called and left a message... NO RESPONSE. I have emailed several times with NO RESPONSE. I can only assume at this point that they have taken my device and resold it somewhere hoping I would just forget about it. Not sure of my next steps yet but seller beware. Avoid USELL at all costs...
Complete and total scam. If you send your phone in, you have two outcomes.
1. Get absolutely nothing. No check, no word about your phone, etc.
2. Wait months and months and months and months and get a check for under 10 bucks.
What's their excuse? Either they didn't get it, or your phone was damaged. Stay away. Far away.
I would have given zero stars if I could but had to choose one. Sent Samung Galaxy only two years old. Excellent condition no damage. Never been taken out of the protective case. Was supposed to get $120. Now wants to pay $27. Buyer lies an says there's water damage. IMPOSSIBLE! Phone never dropped nor has any water damage. I'm insulted! Told them to send my phone back & it better be in the same condition that I sent it in! This company deals with dishonest ppl. DO NOT SELL YOUR PHONE TO THIS COMPANY! You will regret it. They are LIARS!
Tip for consumers:
DON’T USE THIS SITE!
Sent my phone in on 10/2/19 they said they recieved it 10/11/19 it is now 10/18/19 and they still have not issued payment for my phone. They also won't respond to the multiple emails I have sent. They do not have a working phone number and at this point my phone has just been taken smh will never use this device again
I sold my iPhone 6S that had a very small scratch to uSell and they quoted me $127.00 and I accepted their offer, they sent me the packaging they wanted me to return the phone in, I added support to the package for safer shipping. I checked today to see where my check was for the phone and they showed the phone as damaged and now will pay me no more than $22. I feel they ripped me off, the phone was almost perfect when I sent it to them but they have the privilege of discounting the amount they agreed to or returning the phone, which if in fact it was damaged, why would I want it back, I think it's BS.
Caution: you will get ripped of by usell-they will send you a curious looking check-that will bounce. Your back WILL charge you a fee for that little gift. Then you will have to wait for another one that when you take it to the issuing bank- they will NOT honor it. (My bank eventually got it cashed, but not for almost a month). They will also tell you they will repay the bank fee-THEY WILL NOT. I have filed a complaint wilts postal inspectors, because they do this as a business practice.
I'm filing a lawsuit against these thieves for taking my phone and not sending me a check. This place is a scam and I won't rest till they are exposed
I sent them in a phone in LG that was in Flawless condition didn't so much as have a scratch on it the phone was barely two months old they turned around email me and told me it was damaged and down the price on what they would give me big time to $3 from $40 in perfect condition when it left my home I am now waiting for the return of it and it better still be in perfect condition because that phone was not damaged when I mailed it
I sent my phone to USELL to because I needed cash in a pinch, so I sold my phone to them, USELL claims that they pay quickly, Tha's not the case for me. I sent in a BRAND NEW 128 GIG IPHONE XR FLAWLESS ON 7/25/19 IT IS NOW 8/14 STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED PAYMENT. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. This company takes its time, or either won't pay. It seems as if I have been had! DON'T SELL YOU PHONE TO USELL
I recently sent a phone to them for resell. The phone was in perfect condition, but due to their packaging it got damaged and will not honor the price quoted. I would not use this company.
Tip for consumers:
If you use this site send it in different packaging than they provide. They at least will give you a shipping tag so you don’t have to pay only good thing I have to say about this company.
My family sent in all of our devices as rating "Good." They all fit the description below. When they arrived, they were ALL deliberately labeld as damaged without A SINGLE reason given. This means instead of giving us the agreed upon price, they only gave us $1 per device! DON'T EVER TRUST THIS COMPANY!
Your iPhone is Good condition if it:
Powers on and holds charge
Is fully functional, including all buttons and ports
Has no cracks on the screen or body or damage on the LCD
IMEI / ESN is clear for activation by a new user
I used Usell a few months ago. I was skeptical however I had seen the ads on TV. Anyways, after sending my device (in good shape) they contacted me saying it was damaged even when I knew it really wasn't. I had two options, take a lower dollar amount or have the item sent back. At the end of the experience, I wasn't a happy camper. A few nights later a neighbor told me about American Buy Back. He said he had used them to sell his company's IT and computer equipment.
After a few weeks, I sold them 5 of my obsolete electronics including an original iPhone that was cracked, a damaged BlackBerry, and my retired iPad 2 that I had cracked by dropping it. I went through their site's catalog to find each of my items then sent them in using a pre-paid (free) shipping label. I chose to get paid via PayPal since I trust their security and have used PayPal a ton in the past. Long story short, I was paid exactly what their site stated within 3 days from shipping. I simply couldn't believe it. Some of the other ‘buy back' sites have tried playing games before by saying an item I say is in good condition is really in poor or similar. The entire experience was terrific and their communication was top notch.
They show the commercial on Cartoon network and make kids go to there website and sell there cells for a cheap price. For me i would rather throw my phone in the garbage before i sell it to them
Sent them my phone, rejected their low counter offer as it was is pretty good condition when I sent it. Received my phone back broken. Is this who you want to sell your valuable electronics to?
It took almost 2 months but I finally got payment. Don't know what happened but I'm glad I received it. I won't use them again unless the process starts working as quickly as it used to.
They tried to pull a "bait and switch" with me, declaring the phone I mailed in to have LCD damage. This changed their offer from $86 to $10. After filing with the NY BBB, they FINALLY mailed a package out to me-with a DIFFERENT PHONE.
Now this phone is truly damaged. It is dirty, smudges on the front, spots on the back, and damage to the front button!
Please file with the Attorney General- we can't let them get away with this sort of behavior!
Can't get a response, was supposed to receive payment a week ago and no one will respond. No phone and no money.
I sent in my phone I am filling a lawsuit they said wrong address my damn address is on my profile theives
Sent my Blackberry Passport in, 3 weeks after they recieved it, 4 emails to them, and still no payment or any response at all!
I can't say enough they basically robbed my phone straight out. I don't know what to do! Thieves!
