I bought the pinkish dress with the black embroidered flowers on the front. It's a tulip shape and made of a tulle fabric. I could not have been happier in a purchase, fit, comfort, feel, and style. My only problem is I may not find another occasion to wear it! It was prompt, true to size and just lovely. I would not hesitate to order from Venus again. I also picked some other dresses from on line companies that say they do returns but will not. All from China. I will from now on always check reviews and give this a 5 star!
I have ordered many swimsuits from them. Typically nice products; however, some have fallen apart, turned strange color, etc. They do not ship promptly. Ordered several items on Monday and they did not ship out until Thursday. I will not receive the items in time for a trip now.
Purchased clothing, questionable value, then returned something... well that started it. Got charged about $15 to return items... No where on booklet did it state that, it said free returns, NOT! Angel send me a scripted live chat. Told her I was dissatisfied as I did not see it anywhere posted. I told her I was reporting to BBB and I will protest it with my visa company. She wrote back "thank you for shopping with us and hope to service you in the future" They are sneaky and the clothing not that good. Do not waste your time or money on them. I bet that Angel is a phony name anyway, they do not try to resolve problems, I have a $25 gift card sitting there will not use. They are a scam...
The clothes are cute, but quality is "meh" and some clothing was oversized. I returned a package 10 days ago, but when I contacted customer service, they said they are sometimes behind. That's not very good. The shipping isn't the fastest either, but I did get it in about a week and a half, it's the return that has me worried. They said that if it's not received in 30 days, they would honor the return, but I don't want to wait 30 days :(
I just got up from from phone with Venus. I bought 2 bathing suit. One of them, was too big on my body. I call for exchange size and they want to charge me shopping when I already payed for shipping. And they would charge me shipping again. I would never buy any clothing there. Be careful.
I've ordered from Venus.com many times. I DO know that their tops do run a bit larger than expected so even with a 34C bust I always order the Extra small. I've lost weight recently (22 lbs) and there is a top I am DYING for on their site right now. Its orange and has embellished beading on it. It looks tight on the model but perfectly fitting on her so don't know if I should go with a small or extra small. I've never purchased pants, dresses as I'm only 5.2 so definitely would be too long for me and would have no idea as far as which size to order really. I LOVE their clothing and don't see problems with the quality. I know most are made of rayon/poly blend. I DO feel that the site should offer promo codes or codes to use as most online clothing sites do
I have been ordering from this site for a couple years. I find the quality to be just fine for the price point. The sizing in clothing has been spot on for me. On the occasion I don't like something returning is easy and it clearly states you will be charged $6.95 for shipping label. No biggie and worth the convenience in my opinion. On the off chance I have a question and dealt with customer service they were always cordial and helpful. My orders always arrive in a timely fashion and I am always immediately notified if there is a delay or backorder. I would highly recommend the clothing and swimwear from this company.
I shop at Venus.com regularly. I know my size well enough now that I rarely have to return anything. I have always been satisfied with the quality. I get tons of compliments on my selections. Contemporary fashion at affordable prices. So affordable, my shopping cart fills up fast! I would highly recommend.
I ordered five items after an icon kept popping up when I was on Facebook. Four arrived a couple weeks later, which is a while to wait but Venus at least is an American company. One item is still on back order and the most expensive item was not there. In it's place was a dress I didn't order. The material on the shirts is thin. Wearable quality but it doesn't "sizzle" like the picture. I called and the guy said he would send the correct item but I must return the item THEY sent by mistake. I hate post offices around Holidays. Wish I hadn't messed with this company!

If you have a special occasion to dress for, I would suggest driving to the Mall as opposed to depending on Venus. The sizes run large and the quality isn't fantastic. Plus [at least in my case] I didn't get my full order and it wasn't correct.
I returned a " final purchase"pants and they charged me $7 shipping for each of the two pants returned plus wouldn't refund nor return the pants, stating that it was a "final sale" (stayed in small, inconspicuous print).

I was very worried about ordering from Venus after I read so many negative reviews! But I bit the bullet and I AM SO GLAD I ORDERED! I love their designs and I ordered 22 different items from tops, sweaters and dresses. (Needless to say it was over $500!). I received my box the very next day (I paid $15 extra for expedited shipping). I immediately tried on each single piece and I am NOT disappointed at all! Thrilled and relieved that I did not let those other reviews deter me from ordering! Ordering some jeans today! Helpful hint: If you are concerned about sizing, call them before you order! We went through each item to make sure I had the right sizes! It was truly a pleasure speaking with their Customer Service team. The hold time was only a couple of minutes and sooo worth it! Happy shopping!
I was trying to purchase some items for my girlfriend. Stuff here is ridiculously overpriced, under quality. The site offered discount ls for 10% off site wide if I agreed to subscribe and let them spam me to death. I agreed, with intention of later unsubscribing, but I never got my discount codes as promised. They kept lying and saying "You'll get it in a day!", then wanting my email so they could spam some more. I refused to give it to them. They said I would have to place the order at full price and then wait an hour before they adjust the total manually. Nice try. Rude, deceitful, unhelpful customer service. I once bought a swimsuit for my girlfriend from them before and it was awful. I was going to give them one more chance, but they blew it with their lies and rude customer service. Stay away from this company.

I am actually VERY surprised how dissatisfied some people are with this site. I have bought so mamy clothes from here and love 90% of them. Yeah, the quality is a bit cheap but it still looks good. You just have to know what to buy. The dresses amd tops are awesome! Do not dry them in the dryer. The jackets are not great so I wouldn't go for that. The leggings and pants are fine too. Good summer clothes since the quality is a bit thin but I like it. I can post pics too. But personally, I like this site. I haven't tried swimsuits, shoes or accessories but tops and dresses have been good for me.

Ordering clothing from Venus requires you to analyze how the item is made, the fabric type, scrutinizing the image for possible pinning, etc. Maybe then you will pick something that will fit you. I bought a shirt that had beading in the front which was at the shoulder on the model but on me was two inches lower than the shoulder. If you don't mind risking paying shipping for both ways (you have to pay the shipping from them to if your order goes below 100 dollars if the shipping was free after returning items), then buy all means, give them a try. If you enjoy gambling then you will enjoy shopping with Venus.
I order frequently online, so I am far from naive. I ordered in what I assumed was Canadian funds, the site gave no indication that I would be charged in USD, even the receipt emailed to me didn't indicate the currency. I only found out the real charge AFTER calling my visa. I then received an email less than 24 hr later asking me to pay a third party company for duty charges, which again were not mentioned during checkout on their website. I called the company less than 24 hrs after placing my order to try to cancel my order, they were completely rude and claimed they were unable to cancel. Lesson learned, I will NEVER order from here again and I will be warning everyone on social media as to what a hassle this company is to deal with. It's obvious after my experience, that they care nothing for their customers.
Hi Venus! I have been shopping with you for the past two years now and I love everything. Nonetheless, this last order was supposed to come with a $40 off coupon which I never received. So with that I am disappointed because It happened last summer and I overlooked it but now I am a little frustrated. Please advise.

In a world where online shopping has become a norm, Venus is so behind the times in their return policies. They offer free shipping on orders over 100, and if you return any items they deduct the cost of the free shipping' from your credit in addition to the cost you incur to return. Just not worth it as bathing suits often require multiple iterations to find the correct fit and their suits are very pricey so it's easy to spend over 100 on an order. This subtracting the original free shipping is sneaky and absurd for business given the many other online options that offer free shipping and free returns. I was a long time customer but no longer since they started this sneaky free shipping/ not free business. Too many other online choices with free shipping that is actually free even if you return items. Their customer service does not seem to care about dissatisfied customers either.

I am horrified at the quality of the products and the customer service of these people. They hang up on you repeatedly. Please note that the wash once will apply to this group... meaning once you wash it, it will fall apart. I tried to return an item outside of their policy even though they lost the order and I did not receive it in time for my trip, and they would not accept the return by the time I was going to use it again. One way return policy even though all the items are still selling on their site. Their sizes are out of wack, and the quality sucks. Spend your money elsewhere folks.
I have bought a few things from this company and all of their garments are poorly made and poor quality. Over prized and over Rated. I bought a shirt and the it had a hole and lint balls after the second wash. I also bought a cardigan sweeter for 70 dollars and it was ruined in the first wash. Never again!

The fabric/material is thin and the quality of the clothes are cheap. They have cute styles, but once you receive the item, it will be noticeably different from what you ordered (colors will be off, fraying, etc.). I am in the process of returning a dress and noticed that they will deduct $6.95 from my refund for return shipping. I'm done with Venus. I came here because I can't even leave a review on their website for the item I'm returning. How Sway? SMH
I thought the earrings were beautiful, I loved the colors, but they arrived crooked and the medal of the earring wouldn't clasp, and the stone was also not connected to jewelry don't know if it fell off doing handling or what. I received two pieces of defective flimsy jewelry.

All the dresses I've bought from Venus fit perfect and look really good. Material quality is about the same you would find at stores in the mall. The jeans run a bit big for me, so did a winter jacket and cardigan I bought, so I had to return those. I've also bought a hoodie, a bathing suit, and 2 leggings and they fit quite well. But dresses are definitely a go! This is the first place I look when I need a dress. Would like to try their shoes next. Sorry for anyone who had a bad experience, because so far I haven't had any...
A huge sigh of relief! I recently placed a $200 order that I received within 3 business days- I ordered 3 swimsuit tops and 2 different bottoms and a cover up. My intent was to pick one and send the others back but I am very pleased to say that all of them fit just right and I am keeping all of them! Being able to mismatch sizes between tops and bottoms was a huge help. I am a curvy girl and finally feel comfortable wearing a swimsuit after not doing so for quite some time! So overall- the size and quality are a hit for me... I can't comment on the customer service since there was no need to contact them.
I have purchased clothes from venus for 3 years now. Not only do they run true to size but the clothes are adorable. I wish they would get in some tall pants and jeans. An no, 35" inseam is not long. I'm talking 37 or 38". Their clothes have always been quality and have fit wonderfully! I would recommend them to anyone!
I received a catalog for this company and learned that this company only appeals to white women. I spend my money with companies that are diverse and does not cater to one race specifically. It's a real shame this type of company policy is what makes this world so racist. I love the skin that I'm in and it should be represented in every catalog, magazine, you name it. I ordered 3 items back in January for a trip in Feb. My three items arrived however one was wrong and a size 3x (Im a size 10). I called and the really nice man said keep the item and donate it to charity and they would ship me the correct item immediately within 3 business days in time for my trip at no charge. That same day I had to pay $17 in duty fees as I live in Canada before the item would be shipped. Well lo and behold nothing ever arrived. So numerous emails later they refunded my duty fees but not the refund for the dress. So I emailed again and again. They are prompt in returning emails Ill give them that but terrible at issuing refunds. I felt like they were hoping I would just go away and let them keep my $36 US dollars. In any event after hounding them I finally got my refund. This was my first experience with Venus and although I loved the two correct items they shipped me I dont have the patience to ever go through this again. Ill keep shopping Canadian!
