I bought the pinkish dress with the black embroidered flowers on the front. It's a tulip shape and made of a tulle fabric. I could not have been happier in a purchase, fit, comfort, feel, and style. My only problem is I may not find another occasion to wear it! It was prompt, true to size and just lovely. I would not hesitate to order from Venus again. I also picked some other dresses from on line companies that say they do returns but will not. All from China. I will from now on always check reviews and give this a 5 star!
I have ordered many swimsuits from them. Typically nice products; however, some have fallen apart, turned strange color, etc. They do not ship promptly. Ordered several items on Monday and they did not ship out until Thursday. I will not receive the items in time for a trip now.
I ordered from Venus for the first time and was extremely disappointed with the quality. I previously read all the negative reviews on their quality, but still wanted to give them a chance. The dress I received was supposed to have a faux leather strip across the stomach, which actually ended up consisting of a thin metallic piece of fabric. The online picture makes the customer believe the dress is made out of a spandex material, but instead is actually created from a thin piece of cotton fabric. This being said, if the dress is too tight, it will hug you in all the wrong places. In addition to the low quality, it also was delivered with zero tags on it, and a horrible smell which resembled some sort of chemical. Overall, I would not recommend people to buy clothing from this company.
I would love to order some items... but most of your customer reviews are terrible. So many complaints, on sizing, quality of merchandise...& especially on returns. Would you want to order items for yourself with these issues? I hope you resolve them. I will continue to watch reviews. When the quality improves & return policies change I will consider ordering.
I just got off the phone and could not get through the rep. They use vague terms to add on charges and fees when you return items. NOT worth the hassle since the merchandise are ok to good.
I got charged shipping coming to me and going out, and for the returned items again. BAD customer service, do NOT buy.
Thankfully I had a good experience unlike other reviewers. My dress arrived within 5 days and was good quality! The only thing I will say is that the color looks nothing like pictured. Looks blue but does SAY mint which it actually is! I was fine with either so didnt matter to me but the color definitely was deceiving. Id shop here again!
I was stunned to find this site and the poor reviews. First, their swim suits are fantastic and cute! Love their casual dresses, maxi skirts. I buy from them frequently for summertime wear. Some of the 'business-y' attire offered I didn't care for. My only suggestion is they allow customer reviews, which would allow folks to comment on "true to size" or not, or the issue I just had so someone would know to size up. I bought a swimsuit coverup from them and it shrunk. I neglected the "hand wash only" label. My fault -- the first time! I gave it to my niece and ordered another I loved it so much. I tossed it in my sink to wash out the sand, etc., and it shrunk, AGAIN! But that said, Venus is replacing it for free!
I have bought at total of $100 US or a total of 130.00 dollars Canadian. Staff at Venus did not put how much is the worth of the items I ordered so I ended up paying around $47.00 dollars Canadian in taxes.
How can we avoid this from happening again. Love to pay taxes but the tax is a way too much.
What they charge for shipping and return labels is ridiculous. Also they tried to tell me that I didn't check the box to credit My card back. So they gave me a credit to their store very very shady Company! If I were you I would stay away.

Bought my wedding dress, from dressvenus last month and it is gorgeous! The beading and corset is identical to the photograph and is very well made.
Just note this dress is quite warm because the bottom does have a lot of fabric and tulle. Perfect for a winter wedding.

I purchased an item, it did not fit so it was returned. Tag on, there was no liner as it was a top. It was w/in time frame.
Venus only gives partial returns, they take $6.95 for cost of shipping label.

Ordered something for my wife and paid for expedited shipping to arrive by mother's day. 2-day shipping, which has turned into 5 day shipping because they delayed shipping my order. I paid for 2nd day air, and tracking clearly shows it's being shipped via ground. Should arrive today so I can't review the product, but don't be in a hurry to get your order. Also, customer service has been less than accommodating in getting at least a credit back for the expedited shipping.

Long wait + Customs Fee!
I was happy the first time I ordered, by i had to exchange one of the items so i shipped it back. And when they had the exchanged I had to pay another customs Fee, plus waited 2 weeks + unhelpful customer service (i can imagine their poker faces, it seems that they don't really like their job, you can feel the negative vibes! Please listen to all the recordings of my call Venus people).

This was my first time ordering from Venus. I used the "size chart" and ordered 7 tops. ALL were WAY too big, so had to return them. I was charged $6.99 for shipping for THEIR screw-up; PLUS they charged me $4.99 for "adjustment fee". HORRIBLE experience!

I agree with Jill... so deceptive on this "FREE SHIPPING" My original order was 168.00 and returned two items and it dropped below 100.00 so I got charged 19.90 for shipping What a waste of money! I love their bathing suits but I will never shop at this company ever again. How can a company like this stay in business when the competition (MACYS) offers free shipping and free returns... bye bye Venus
Purchased items on 11/14. On 11/16 it still was not shipped. They said they would ship by 2 days delivery. Did not happen. Today is 11/22. I still don't have the items and UPS showing they have been in CA since 11/16. Called multiple times. Reached ut to CEO. NOTHING.
The quality of the items is usually not great. Shoes are safe to buy but clothes... made cheaply, quality is not there. 500% of the time i have to return. Prices are too high for this type of clothes and sevice

Attempted to return $80 worth of clothing, using the return label provided by Venus. They "never received" the clothing, continually closed my complaints, and refused to refund my money. Terrible customer service, don't waste your money on this company.
These people mean business!... my orde took less than two weeks to arrive, I ordered a maxi skirt and dress in a small, the skirt fit me perfectly, the dress was a little big in the hips but overall I was very pleased. Very good quality and material, they even have a survey for you to fill out and customer service!. Even though the dress was a little big in my hips I still felt not taken advantage of.
I've shopped from Venus 3 times over the past 2 years, and have come to the conclusion that it's a complete hit or miss. Each time I shopped I had bought 4 pieces. The first time, I kept them all, the second I kept 2 an sent 2 back, 3rd time, nothing working out. Anything from sizing and that the product was not exactly as flattering as it appeared on the model, or even the material was a huge no go. The worst thing from it all, is being from Canada, to ship anything back, costs me over $20, and then if I go under the $100 free delivery, I have to pay that, which kills it all.
Although it's been a year since I have actually shopped from there, I can't help but to still browse at many of their pretty and unique pieces. Perhaps if they had free shipping on like a $50 purchase, or slightly better pricing, I would definitely be giving them an other go, but atm, I am still quite iffy.
I stopped purchasing from Venus due to the CSR and I never recieved $151.00 return. I sent the product back and to this day 2 years later no cheque. I tried dealing with the stupidity on the other end of the phone but one can take only so much stupid in a life time.
Lowest quality of clothing I have ever seen. Stay away. For same pricing but quality stuff go to Victoria's Secret. Have ordered two times from Venus and it's expensive crap that I have never and will never wear, due to the low quality. Really laughable.
I had to return my order because the size of my items were too big. My purchase total was over $90.00 and after all of their return deductions by refund was $70,00. I won't be ordering from Venus again!

I ordered 3 items for the first time from them and maybe I just got lucky, but all of them fit great. The material is a breathable and stretchy fabric. What I saw on the website is exactly what I got. Only complaint I have is 2 of the 3 items I bought have clasps on the peice that goes around your neck, and they are pretty difficult to work with.
Like others have mentioned, they charge a shipping fee to return items and they say they don't charge for exchanged items. So I sent a return and an item to be exchanged in the same package, and still get charged the shipping fee. I also see that they are not going to credit me back the tax I paid on the returned item, which I believe is illegal.
It took quite a while to get my order, then waiting for them to process my return & exchange and send out the exchanged item - basically I ordered one of the items 2 months in advance of the event I needed it for, and I won't have it in time. Customer service gave short, unhelpful answers and only gave me exactly the information I asked for so I had to ask a million questions. I can find better clothes elsewhere without all this crap.

Got the package relevantly quick. The quality was good for the price I paid. I definitely thinking about ordering two more suits from this website. Not sure if it's because I wrote review after ordering on the website. But everything worked out.

I reached out to customer service before ordering. I was told sizes are true to size and she told me what size Id need with my measurements. When the clothes were received they are too big! I cant return final sales and get charged for returns! This was there error! Is this what you do as a company when reaching out to customer service... LIE! I am never ordering here again and will let ithers know about this.
