“Found a perfect dress”

I bought the pinkish dress with the black embroidered flowers on the front. It's a tulip shape and made of a tulle fabric. I could not have been happier in a purchase, fit, comfort, feel, and style. My only problem is I may not find another occasion to wear it! It was prompt, true to size and just lovely. I would not hesitate to order from Venus again. I also picked some other dresses from on line companies that say they do returns but will not. All from China. I will from now on always check reviews and give this a 5 star!

I have ordered many swimsuits from them. Typically nice products; however, some have fallen apart, turned strange color, etc. They do not ship promptly. Ordered several items on Monday and they did not ship out until Thursday. I will not receive the items in time for a trip now.

CDN Buyers Beware!
1st timer buyer spent. Over $188. Post Office notified I owed over $82 COD on parcel for shipping.Um... ship was free. When I got it home. There was a tiny adhes label mentioning Landmark Global - COD and that's all. Talked to Venus rep who informed me that LG charge was for customs, taxes etc. Scam!
Gov't customs, taxes have special for Govt form that breaks down all charges. These charges are close to being 50% of the original order! CDN customs would not be that high!
Waiting to hear back from Venus or Landmark!
Also found sizing to be different in every item I bought. One pair 14 jeans didn't fit, another style size 14 mean was too big! Tops the same.
Return policy is a mess for Cdns too. Be careful!
NOT RESOLVED!

Ordered a few item and got free shipping. A few items didn't fit but I was leaving for a trip. I couldn't wait for exchange so I just reordered items in right size. When I returned from trip I called their customer service to ask if it is possible to receive store credit on item purchased with a visa gift card. The money on the gift card was used and thrown away. The customer service rep said no problem! Just put a note in with the return stating that you no longer have the card and we will issue store credit. I received an email that not only was the money refunded back to the credit card but was also charged shipping (after also paying return shipping) emailed the company and they pretty mush said 'sorry, nothing we can do'. I was excited to find this company as I liked the clothing but I will no longer order from them!

I tried on the item and the item already had tears in it. I cant even figure out how to put a comment on their website to tell others not to get it. The lace between the seams was already torn... really bad material since I wasn't even able to wear it once. Quite sad since it did look cute on me.

BEWRE! Wish I'd found this site before I ordered my daughter's wedding dress. She needed a maternity dress, and a very pretty one came up in our search under "maternity wedding dress". While it shipped on time, when it arrived the lining was far too small to work with her growing belly (twins). It wasn't a maternity dress at all. The worst part is that although their site allows to you "start a dispute", it doesn't go anywhere. Read the positive comments in reviews carefully. Do not sound like native english speakers - my guess is they are written by employees.

I never write reviews typically but I placed a $130 order with venus. Their photos are gorgeous, shirts are 30-40 dollars a peice and appeared to be nice quality. However upon recieving the clothes they were paper thin. One shirt had an arm 2 inches longer than the other, another shirt had thread hanging off in many places and the cleavage was so low it went down past the bottom of my bra and was completely see through. These look look like the type of clothes you would buy for a few dollars on chinese websites. Forever 21 and walmart sell better quality clothes. Be careful before you buy... the quality is junk.

Cheap copies. I have purchased 3 dresses and they all look so cheap I wouldn't wear them anyplace other than the beach or indoors as a cover-up.

I washed one and ended up throwing it away.

Don't waste your money like I did. The photos on their site are clearly not representative of what they're selling.

I have made several purchases over the last 6 months and the first order I had quite a few items that I really wasn't crazy about once I saw them in person. Like for an example the red off the shoulder dress. Cute design wrong material. To be honest it wasn't worth returning either. It will be donated. I made another attempt recently, place an order on a jumpsuit I have been eyeing. What a waste! I would agree with Sue. She hit it right on. The quality of the material is horrible. If your looking for a one time outfit and don't plan on wearing it again. Then by all means slurge. You get what you pay for. Word of advice make sure it's on sale that way you won't be too disappointed. To each is own...

I have ordered several times from Venus. Maxie dresses, blouses, hoodies, pants, etc and have only returned once (Turtleneck blouse, the neck was not "snugged" enough. The only advice needed is you may need to order a size larger.

I ordered a bathing suit in a size 12, every store I've shopped in, the 12 fit me and at times I needed a 10, the Venus bathing suit was too tight so I had to pay $7.95 to have it shipped and $6.95 to return, it's a total rip-off. One other thing, it's impossible to stop their e-mails from coming, I've unsubscribed 3 times to no avail, then called and they supposedly connected me to their IT team who said the twice a day e-mails would definitely stop, they are still coming to me. Stay away from this place, they don't even deserve one star.

I have ordered a few things from Venus over the last two years. Mostly cheap vacation/cruise wear. I've been happy with what I got. I knew it wouldn't be 100% top of the line quality and as such didn't have my expectations shattered. The clothing is aesthetically pleasing. Lol. I will say, the boots, well, they look great but MY GOD, these boots were not meant for walking! Every boot I've ordered from them basically have a sole that turn most solid surfaces "icerink-slick"! Be careful wearing these shoes. I ended up sanding the soles and spraying the soles down with a rubber paint to add grip (now I'm happy and safe... After elbow grease!)

I ordered I received and I love it all! I am surprised at the negative reviews on the clothes - I bought 2 dresses, a skirt and a sweater and I think they r great quality for what I paid! I will order again! Just make sure u check the charts as the sizes do seem to fit a little larger - which is a treat from the normal smaller :)

Clothing is of good quality and shipped in under a week, but I was really turned off by the fact that they only offer free shipping if you spend a bogus amount of money. They wanted me to pay $30 shipping for about 4 shirts and 2 dresses, bringing my total to about $180 plus tax. Every item I added to my cart increased the shipping charge by about $5 and I didnt want to spend $200 to get free shipping so I put everything back except for a single shirt. As an Ebayer it only costs me around $10 to ship something that weighs a couple pounds so I refused to pay that much for light weight clothing. Would have been a total rip off but Im satisfied with the top I received.

I placed an order on April 11th at 9:44 pm for 5 items totaling over $200 and received a discount of $16 for the lowest priced item. Less than 12 hours after I placed order on April 12th, Venus offered two promotions, one for $25 e-certificate for $50 purchase or $50 off $200 or more. I am disappointed that this offer was not applied to my order. It was quickly shipped out and when I chatted tonight, the customer care agent, said sorry that only one offer can apply at any time and nothing can be done to give me the discount or e-certificate. Is this attitude really customer care service? Other merchants will apply discounts when another promotion takes place within one day minimum up to seven days.

Tip for consumers:
Call first before ordering to see if they are going to have a promotion the next day that could be a better discount.

So I placed a few purchases with Venus.com, was pleased with the items. However, I ordered a sweater and the neckline was so deep, my breast would have been hanging out, literally. I returned it with the label, that was supposed to be $6.95. Once the order was returned, I see that I have been credited $6.10. I have 1 person that tells me I can just add another item and I won't be charged. Another person telling me the label cost $6.95 and I am still billed for shipping. Another person who I have no idea what she was talking about and she didn't know either. Please save your self from this thieving company. I have asked them to remove all contact with me.

I order online all the time and this is unheard. Not only did I pay the $6.95 return shipping I had to pay the original $12.95 shipping when I returned a couple items and my order dropped below $100. I ended up paying $20 in shipping! This is not clear and their Customer Service team is beyond rude and unhelpful. The clothes are fairly cheap as well, hence the pricing.

I return 3 orders in the same package and venus refund me just one. The customer service told me wait 14 days but when you treat the package, you treat the whole package. Doesn't make sense and venus turn in circle and doesn't want to refund me. I send 5 emails and nobody want to do his job. I asked to my bank the refund, I think its more easy. Don't buy something because the customer service is horrible and the clothes are very expensive because its bad quality. Venus is just big thief.

I am a log standing customer of Venus and have not ordered from them since 2 christmas 's ago. I am sad to see such poor quality clothing sent out when your books are so beautiful and display such what looks like nice quality clothing. Return policy is noy good either. The swim suit moderate bottoms have changed over the years too for the worse. I know one opinion may not matter. I needed to let someone know. Thank YOU Heidi Oskin

Venus is by far The Best Women's Fashion Website for beautiful, well made, quality clothing for all occassions at an incredible value. I am shocked and disheartened by these negative reviews! Please do not let them deter you. As far as the return policy, it is extremely easy and convenient. Place item pack in origninat packaging turned inside out, fill out return label included in delivery, and receive exchange or refund in a timely manner. I have only exchanged a few items in several years because the styling and sizing is impecable. I have been and will continue to recommend Venus to many satisfied friends and clients.

Been having an ongoing issue since August. Venus sent me not 1, but 2 bathing suit tops in the wrong color. They then sent me another (not at a discount or anything). I had to return all 3 because 2 were wrong and 3rd didn't fit. They issued me a gift card and refused to credit back to my credit card, even though it was THEIR mistake about color. Now my account is on hold and I can't even order to spend my POS gift card. I've called 5 times in last 2 weeks and everyone promises to call back. I've done tons of business with them, but not anymore. My next step is BBB. The incompetence is amazing. It's not December and this has been going on since August!

I spent An hour going through all the items and got about 17 sweaters and tops in my shopping cart. Went to check out and got a message, "Oops! Your shopping cart is empty." WHAT? So I went back and AGAIN tried to put everything back in my cart. Of course I didnt remember everything so Venus lost some sales. Entered the shipping code. Went to check out and AGAIN it said my cart was empty. I'm done shopping on this site. Too much trouble to place an order so I'll spend my money elsewhere. This site is awful!

Well my item was for a mixed print mini dress style J*******. It looked so cute on the model. When I tried it on, it fit like a dream! BUT... the pattern was WAY too busy, way too much going on there. I would not be able to wear even a simple piece of jewelry with it. Then, the weight of the fabric! So thick and heavy it was like a scuba suit or something... gotta send it back.

Going on vacation and it was myBirthday week, saw the swimsuits on line. Thought to myself so cute soooo i told my boyfriend thats what i would like for a present and to wear on vacation in Mexico. Bathing suits arrived twice wrong. Third time, They said they would over night the suits since we were leaving the next day and they would come that Morning. Wrong again! They sent them across the United States. HELLO! Where Im trying to get is i just had a really disappointing experience. Thank you Venus now i have no bathing suit!

I paid extra to receive two suits in two days for a vacation. When they were not received within 3 days I cancelled. Two weeks later money was taken from my account and the suits were received the following day, after I had cancelled the order. I was refunded the extra shipping I had paid immediately, but am still waiting almost 2 weeks after returning the suits for my refund, all of which should not have been taken from my account.

I have always had excellent service with Venus during all orders in the last 2 years... Whoa! Something radical happened with these last two orders! Lousy service. Ridiculous wait time - poor phone service when I called for an explanation, wishy washy answers that kept changing. I am heartsick at how disappointing this last order was. Worse yet, I placed two orders on the same day and they completely lost the last one! No explanation. WHAT? Off to the mall! I hate getting such poor service from a company I depended on! This is NOT ok! I do not accept poor service. There are lots of companies that are happy to take good care of me!

I'm very curvy size 14/16 and big hips $#*! area. I was very cautious when I ordered not thinking the clothing or quality would be good but I loved the maximum dresses I saw on line and had to have them! They arrived and I ripped open the pkgs and tried them all on. I am in love I bought 5 maxi dresses and a skirt and they all fit my curves like a glove. The quality is really nice and stretchy to. I highly recommend to anyone. Love their clothing I'm hooked! Bc Canada! Also very fast shipping!
