I bought the pinkish dress with the black embroidered flowers on the front. It's a tulip shape and made of a tulle fabric. I could not have been happier in a purchase, fit, comfort, feel, and style. My only problem is I may not find another occasion to wear it! It was prompt, true to size and just lovely. I would not hesitate to order from Venus again. I also picked some other dresses from on line companies that say they do returns but will not. All from China. I will from now on always check reviews and give this a 5 star!
I have ordered many swimsuits from them. Typically nice products; however, some have fallen apart, turned strange color, etc. They do not ship promptly. Ordered several items on Monday and they did not ship out until Thursday. I will not receive the items in time for a trip now.
I placed an order a week and a half ago and it's taking an absurd amount of time to get to me. It says i should receive my order in another week. Thats 2 and 1/2 weeks i'm waiting for a package... so far it seems like the customer service is $#*!ty and I wouldn't waste my time ordering from them again
Awful customer service. The representatives online are so unhelpful and rude it's ridiculous. Their clothes never look the same in person either. They are definitely using tricks like pinning to make them look good in the catalogs.
I have bought 4 different bathing suits at 70 a piece. Two of them fell apart and broke, stiching came out right away. One fell apart after one use. Never ever purchasing anything from them ever again!
I received my products yesterday and wanted to return them for a full refund. Of cause the terrible customer service wouldn't allow it. Not only do I have to pay shipping and handling but to use the return slip YES a piece of paper they will charge me for it. WTF seriously. Very last time I buy from them. Expensive cloths that are cheap and fall apart easy. Wish I could show you all a picture of what I got when I took it right out of the bag.
I ordered a dress from Venus, it arrived as ordered. About a week later I received another dress of the same kind, I called to let them know two dresses were shipped and it was returned. About a week after that I received a credit card bill for the second dress. Someone at the company opened up a charge card in my name and the dress was charged to that account. I spoke with someone on May 5th who stated the account was turned into the fraud department and the account would be closed. On June 1st I received another bill with double the amount due to late fees. I called again to report the account being opened without my authorization and was again told the account was closed in May The operator assured me it was closed again this evening. Nothing there is worth the aggravation.
After waiting for 1 month for my order I called to find out they never even shipped it due to some bogus excuse, supposedly the payment Dept. Has a question for me. ( but they couldn't call me, they were waiting for me to call?) so customer service got my number and said they'll call me for sure that day. 5 days later no call and no order. NEVER AGAIN! Especially reading the other reviews about quality.
I ordered and paid for 2 day shipping on a bathing suit for vacation. Received an email next morning stating order received and n process. 4 days later still no bathing suit so I called and was told card declined, interesting since this is a debit card with $4,000 balance on it. Wonder why they would not have called me or emailed me to ask if maybe I entered card # incorrectly, etc? Operator offered to reprocess card during that call but my thought it that if I had to chase them for the business, they do not need mine, after all. I canceled order and canceled catalogs too. No thanks, Venus needs to be proactive with order issues. What is point of emails or phones numbers? Come on, whoever ran card, could have called and they would have kept the sale. Love this store, they have great items from amazing prices! So many selections to choose from, I got my prom dress from them! And plan to get my wedding dress there too! They have great accessories too, great quality- totally worth the price! The shipping is quick and as promised.
Ordered a sweater for my daughter Dec 12th, told it was back ordered. Received an email it's in! Waiting, nothing. Emailed Venus, told it was being shipped in 24 hours. Checked tracking, nothing. Emailed Venus today, Dec28th, this time I'm told it was going through quality inspection! Emailed Venus again, nothing but the run around. Maybe Sasha, the CEO should see how Venus deals with their customers! I also work in retail, let's be honest with our customers. If you don't have the merchandise, don't keep stringing along.

Got my jacket in the mail. Didn't event look like the picture. The sleeves in the picture were black and they were brown when I got it. It was crappy material, and didn't fit right at all. Then when I returned it with the sticker they gave me they charged me so instead of getting almost $50 back on my credit card I got $35 back. I will never shop there again that is for sure!
I have purchased items from Venus before and loved the products. This time I must say I am disappointed. I ordered a swimsuit almost two months out and they told me after the purchase that it was on back order and showed a new ship date. One week before my vacation I was sent another email stating my swimsuit was again on back order set to arrive almost a month after my vacation. Some items I did receive were good and some not so much so I sent them back.

I cannot believe all the bad reviews on here! When ordering online, you dont get to try the clothes on, so chances are you might get something that doesnt fit well! You have to expect that. I have ordered many times with Venus and have had no issues! There are times when something doesnt fit me right, and I return or exchange it. Like any other company, if you use their free shipping promo, you will have to pay shipping if your order drops below the required amount, duh! All of the clothes I have purchased (and its a wide selection, coats, shirts, pants, shoes, etc) have been good quality and have looked great. Some I have returned for not fitting properly, but thats to be expected.
I wear a normal size American size 8 top and never have issues with sizing. I am 5'9,135 lbs. I was undecided what size to order so I ordered an 8 and a 10 as the top said it does not stretch, thinking I can always take it in at the waist if it is too big. The 8 was so ridiculously cut short and tiny and the ten was so short in length, and the bust sizing/seams were so high on my chest it was humorous. Clearly not American cut. The quality was very cheap as the fabric was a noticeably rough and raw. Beware! Picture not as appeared.

I have ordered from Venus for many years and I've ordered MANY items. The sizing has always been pretty spot on. Of course there are some items that I order a size up, but that's my personal preference due to the material, etc. For instance, any sweats or sweaters I usually size up because I like them sorta loose fitting. The pricing and quality have never disappointed me. There has only been one occasion where I've had to return an item and that was because I thought it was a different material, but that was my oversight. When I went back online to view the item I realized that I had misread the information so I clearly couldn't blame Venus. I returned the item for which I had used PayPal to pay and I received a credit in a very timely manner. I have nothing but great things to say about this company.

I had to put my foot down on this one! I received a email about my refund and this additional charge 4.95 for "promotional shipping". I replied back to them and said I still would like the credit to my card. I told them I wasn't aware of this additional 4.95 for "promotional shipping" that they already got their 6.95 shipping charge out of my refund and that there might not be any additional shopping at Venus with the little 4.95 prom code they provided... to use later on a shipping order. (Like,... do you get my drift?) They was good to give me my credit back of 4.95 on my card but... why should anyone have to even ask?... I very rarely shop there because of their shipping rules.

Wow, not only I had to pay for the initial shipping, they also charged for the return shipping refunding back only the partial amount of what I paid. Scammers, make money every way they can. Don't buy! Beware!

I enjoy the order process with Venus. The only exception is having to pay for duties in advance ( delivery to Canada) but it worked out and I was happy with everything I ordered. I would certainly order again!
Of course, canadians pay alot in duty and taxes but... It worth it.
I ordered several time from them and i was not disapointed. Quality of material on there dresses are very good and its true to size.
I usually received my order inside 4 or 5 days once the duties are paid.
They are a big competition to VS, they have a very good choice in summer and beach dresses.
I am waiting for bathing suits at the moment. Once receive i will review!
In the past I have been happy with Venus, however this order was different. They shipped the wrong item twice and when I called said that they no longer had the item I ordered. Very upset and offered nothing to right the wrong.
I purchased multiple items from Venus and several needed to be returned. It has been 10 days and they still have to travel across the state. If I would have known that the USPS label isn't really USPS but that they end up handing it off to UPS I would not have taken it to the post office because it sat there for 3 days. VERY disappointed. I would like my refund and it still has to go clear across the state of Florida. And then lord knows how long it will actually take them to process it. I love Venus but that will be my last time purchasing from them.

BEWARE this companies pictures are misleading! I ordered a large short down looking jacket with 6 in of fur around the collar and shoulders and received a jacket with 2 in of fur around a hood which was not shown in the picture. I also order a 2 xl jacket for myself bone and black with leather straps on the sleeves and receive the jacket but the 2 xl is smaller than my daughter larger ( my 10 yr old granddaughter can fit it) with no leather straps on the sleeve. I took pictures and sent it to them clearly showing both jackets they wanted more pictures. I ask for them to call still haven't heard from them! I donated both jackets ($86.00) to good will and will never shop with them again!

Awful awful awful! I was just told I have to pay $6.95 to ship the item back that doesn't fit in order to get a refund since I want to exchange it for another size.
Going to continue shopping on Amazon and Nordstrom which offers free shipping AND free returns.
Venus needs to get their stuff together. They're losing out due to poor customer service when compared to other companies that offer stellar service.

I bought 2 jacket & 2 dresses. It took over 3 wks to arrive. The materials were poor and stitches weren't even done properly. I emailed the customer service and requested for the return of the items. They requested for the photos to show why I was unsatisfied with the items. They cost me nearly $100 which I could just paid for $2 locally. I agreed with the previous review. Such a scam, I would never purchase again from this website. A very disappointed experience. Don't be fooled by the photos they showed.
Was so excited to be buying from them. Took over 10 days to arrive. Couldn't believe it.@ of the dresses were ok the other long maxi dress had so much material i returned it. The thing is if you use the UPS label it will take an additional 10 days to get back there and they deduct $7. So I sent it back myself due to weight it was priority and cost me $13. The refunded the money back pretty fast but tried to charge me for the original shipping which i had free from them. That's some kahunas. I complained and they credited back the $9.00 they deducted. Never again.
