“Found a perfect dress”

I bought the pinkish dress with the black embroidered flowers on the front. It's a tulip shape and made of a tulle fabric. I could not have been happier in a purchase, fit, comfort, feel, and style. My only problem is I may not find another occasion to wear it! It was prompt, true to size and just lovely. I would not hesitate to order from Venus again. I also picked some other dresses from on line companies that say they do returns but will not. All from China. I will from now on always check reviews and give this a 5 star!

I have ordered many swimsuits from them. Typically nice products; however, some have fallen apart, turned strange color, etc. They do not ship promptly. Ordered several items on Monday and they did not ship out until Thursday. I will not receive the items in time for a trip now.

venus.com becoming more and more like those cheap Chinese clothing websites, except it is still expensive: the catalog photos of clothing are far from the way it looks in reality, with cheap fabrics, poor execution quality and even different style. Customer service doesn't really care about that, because the shipping expenses are customers responsibility, so they are not loosing anything, just reputations, which apparently is not their priority.

Well I was going to order three dresses, but after I read the reviews it's kind of scary! I'll just find another site besides this one that has better reviews, because I don't want to be taken. I have more than Enough going on in my life and not to worry about mail issues and bad customer service.

First, even though their catalog has a Canadian address, they are US based and all their prices are in US dollars. This is not disclosed anywhere, so the prices are actually 40% higher than advertised. I only realized that after I received my credit card statement. Second, you have to pay customs duties, which is also left undisclosed. They only let you know that you have to pay more after the order is shipped. And last, it has been 34 days since I placed an order, but still no sign of it. Stay away from these scam artists.

Venus really charges high prices for their clothes and when i returned some items I used a ups label that stated I would be charged $6.95. I live in Florida so Venus is very close to me. So on top of the $6.95 they charged an additional $4.95 since my return was not over $75.00? Moral of the story shop AMAZON!

I purchased the outfit below and it was totally awful. I usually wear an 8 in Venus clothes but I should have gone a size bigger. Material was cheap. I also noticed lately the quality is not as good as before.

I've made 6 separate purchases from them in a course of 3 years, and I've never experienced a problem. The size chart is always spot on, they have an excellent selection to choose from, and the quality of the clothes has exceeded my expectations. This is my all-time favorite place to buy clothes online.
People have mentioned the shipping costs, and I'm a little bit confused? Shipping usually costs a lot... That's the deal with ordering almost anything. But it's not hard to qualify for the free shipping, because these are high quality clothes and therefore a little pricey-- but worth the cost.

I have no experience dealing with their customer service, however, so I can't give any feedback about that.

I've bought a cute pair of ankle boots on dressvenus and I have nothing but good words to say about this site. The website itself is pretty user friendly, the information can be found very clear and easily. The boots were shipped right away and it got here at the estimated arrival time originally provided and, to my surprise, the packaging was beyond what you'd expect from a retail store. My order looked exactly like the one on the picture and the size information turned out to be pretty accurate. So I'm happy I've purchased here and I've already recommended it to all my friends!

OMG Venus.com Rocks! I have been ordering from them for a few years and I am never disappointed. Fast shipping, the fit is great (true to size), and the quality of the clothes is the best. They also offer the most unique styles that I've seen as well. Truly one of a kind. When I'm wearing their clothes, I feel like a model... 6 feet tall. Keep it up Venus!

I was thinking of ordering from Venus as a first time customer. However, being a frequent online shopper, I like to google reviews on certain websites before placing an order. After running into this website and reading ALL the horrible reviews, FORGET ABOUT IT. I instantly cancelled my order (even though the dress was absolutely gorgeous and on sale). Venus should really take their customers into consideration and change their ways. Otherwise, they will lose more future customers. What a shame. Thank you for all the reviews! You guys saved me the time and headache!

Venus has very cute clothes and swim suits and they fit very well. The quality is usually good, but I've had a few pieces that were not good quality. Their customer service is probably the worst customer service I have ever come in contact with. I'd rather contact my cable/phone company than Venus. If they make a mistake on your return, they will charge your card without your permission. When you fill out their contact page, it says they will respond within 24 hours. So far I'm on day 4 without a response. If you plan on keeping everything you order, you will be better off. God forbid you have any returns, be wary. Keep track of what your returning and what they are refunding you, because chances are they'll get it wrong.

So I was looking for an additional online clothing site and wound up seeing tons of negative reviews on several sites. So I thought I'd take a look at Venus reviews and was shocked. I'm thinking there must be a lot of bitter people in the world because I love Venus! Honestly, I order from them about every other month and have for a couple of years. I had one shirt that I didn't particularly care for but it was as pictured, I just didn't like it in person. Venus price to quality is on point. My only complaint would be that I wish they had more new clothing. Seriously, Venus is great online site!

If I could give this website a corner of 1 star I would but only a corner cause their pretty good at getting back to me in an email but it's to bad it's all LIES! I ordered leggings from them in May, still haven't received any of them! They lie and say "there on there way" and it's now almost August and still haven't received anything! Save your money people, order some where else. This website's a scam and a joke! They take people's hard earned money then give you the run around. For those of you who already ordered but haven't receive your ítems like me I recommend turning it over to your bank and let them handle it. These scammers need to know there's consequences for their actions!

Tip for consumers:
Don’t buy from this website! It’s a total nightmare! Their quick to take your money but NEVER shipped my items!

I have ordered a few items from here and I have an amazing experience everytime. Shipping is always so fast it's incredible! So far I've only had to send one item back just because I didn't like how it looked on me. Even when I returned it I got a credit in only a couple of days. Most companies takes weeks to give a credit or refund. They have the most beautiful clothes and accessories I wish I could order one of everything. My only complaint is their clothes are a little higher than what I think they should be and shipping is $8. However, Venus is amazing and I will continue to shop there!

Love their suits. They are the best in the industry. Sizes are not small. They fit true to size and sometimes a little big. I have always been happy with Venus since the 1990's. I do recommend them. Returns are charged shipping charges when you use the included label. I never do. If I send something back, it is for a another size or store credit. This way you never get charged for returning an item for a refund. And if I can't return it due to it being a clearance item, I sell the item online, for usually more than what I paid. Venus is a sellable item on websites that the public can sell clothing or other items on. It's always a win win for me and Venus. I have so many of their suits and I love every one of them!

Tip for consumers:
Never return for a refund….use the free exchange or credit voucher. If it is a clearance item, and your not happy, sell it on eBay, Mercari, etc…you may even be able to get more than what you paid.

I am agree with all reviews. The clothes are so cheap looking!. Nice in the pictures but totally different in the reality. I returned a blouse that cost me $29.99 and my refund was $15. Really? They apply all kind of fees, they only tell you about the return label fee but they charged me with shipping again and $3 for something so my advice is "keep the ugly clothing" if you don't want to loose your money. Very disappointed with this place!

Shopping online is really fun and excitement increases when you shop with dressvenus.com. A perfect combination of quality, uniqueness and in-budget. I have a good number of dresses and additional accessories from this store and would recommend it to those who are not able to fulfill their fashion requirements due to heavy prices.

I have been trying to organize bridesmaid dress for my husband to be's daughter who lives 200 miles away and thankfully with their quick dispatch and returns, the task was not so daunting as I first imagined. We finally have a dress now that she is very happy with. Thank you very much!

I have spent hundreds of dollars on clothes Venus. The one time I returned something and my return which should have been 58 dollars ended up to be 28! This has to be illegal! They charged me the original shipping for each item because I got the shipping free. Holy $#*! no other site does that. What a rip off

As for your pitiful response... your apologetic that my experience with you was less than exceptional? Are you serious? I have asked the postal service about tracking and it seems that you're about the only people in the world who can't get their act together - in this day and age of being able track just about anything, anywhere - who can't manage to continuity of tracking through various delivery services. Your apology is worth about as much as the virtual paper I'm typing on. Not only did I not get the items I paid for, I had to wait for my refund. Talk is cheap. How about you shut up shop if you're not prepared to be reputable traders? Obviously I'm not the only one who has fallen foul of your sub-standard morals and ethics (and clothing, from the reviews I've read). Thanks for nothing!

What business can't/won't provide tracking details?

I ordered two items in what I thought was plenty of time to receive them before a very special occasion, i. E. 36 years as a couple with my (now) husband. No tracking details were provided so I had to ask for said details. I wasn't given one, nor was I given the details about the postal service used for delivery so that I could contact them, directly, in an attempt to locate my goods. I was stalled a couple of times after that, including promising a refund (since there was no point in re-ordering my purchases... the time for it to be of use had passed!). Despite a promise that my money would be refunded immediately, I had to contact them some time later to ask for my money, again. Is this part of a scam where people's purchases mysteriously disappear only to re-appear as items sold on eBay by unscrupulous thieves? If so, YOU NEED TO RE-SEND ME MY ORDER, FREE OF CHARGE! Never again will I be sucked in by what I thought was a reputable company with awesome clothing for sale at reasonable prices

Placed order for several items for my wife. Stated all was in stock. Order shipped but after it arrives they inform me the matching bikini bottom was sold out. Attitude of person dealing with me was so what. I will not be giving my business to them any more.

Ordered jacket in mid October and still waiting!

Tracking says shipped but always says location unknown/unavailable.

Sent 5 or 6 emails to Venus. Haven't had a reply to any.

No customer service. Slow delivery, perhaps even no delivery, I am still hoping my item will arrive.

Do not buy from Venus. Try BooHoo - great customer service and super fast shipping!

Ordered two bathing suit tops, one bottom, and a romper. Came before the expected shipping date! Everything fit wonderfully. I personally did not like one top once it was on my body but that was my own opinion, the top itself was beautiful. I will be returning it. Venus made it super easy by placing directions and a slip to send back. I will order again! I do wish they had cheeky bathing suit bottoms seeing as they only have moderate coverage.

I returned a $22 item because it did not fit and use their prepaid $6.95 return label. They deducted that plus an additional $12.95 for shipping! So now I was refunded just over $2 for a $22 item. I will never order from them again. There are so many other options out there. Plus the bathing suits are nice but the clothing is total crap quality

Been a customer for years and just received an order in today's mail. #1 they sent me something I didn't order. #2 their size Large apparently is now for a woman weighing about 90 pounds. I've always ordered size large from them in the past. The sweaters I got won't even fit my kid! So disappointed. Everything is going back. Such a disappointment!

I read a lot of bad reviews and hesitated before ordering. However, my sister got the most beautiful dress from them for my birthday and I absolutely loved it. I decided to place my own order and everything came very quickly. It looks exactly like the picture and fits perfectly. I ordered couple of dresses, a skirt and a bathing suit and all worked out well. The only thing I was not to pleased about is that you have to pay custom fees for every item. What seems like a cheap deal, after calculating the dollar exchange and custom fees, its not so cheap anymore.
