I bought the pinkish dress with the black embroidered flowers on the front. It's a tulip shape and made of a tulle fabric. I could not have been happier in a purchase, fit, comfort, feel, and style. My only problem is I may not find another occasion to wear it! It was prompt, true to size and just lovely. I would not hesitate to order from Venus again. I also picked some other dresses from on line companies that say they do returns but will not. All from China. I will from now on always check reviews and give this a 5 star!
I have ordered many swimsuits from them. Typically nice products; however, some have fallen apart, turned strange color, etc. They do not ship promptly. Ordered several items on Monday and they did not ship out until Thursday. I will not receive the items in time for a trip now.
Don't waste your money bad quality. Very dissatisfied with the quality of these clothes and pants to run large, not worth returning it'll cost more than the clothes.
Okay- I ordered over $100 worth of bathing suits for vacation (about 4 weeks in advance).
Issue # 1: They charged my credit card twice (claimed it was their banks fault).
Issue # 2: NEVER received my order! Said the package was delivered and it wasn't.
Issue # 3: Said they would overnight me a new order. THAT ORDER WAS NEVER RECEIVED EITHER!
ISSUE # 4: When I requested a refund because I was leave for vacation the following day and STILL haven't received the original or the replacement order... they stated it needed to go through an investigation to be refunded. So basically i spent $100 on a headache.
Overall, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN WILL I ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE.

I am very disappointed with the fact that I cannot claim my duty and taxes with Canadian Customs due to the fact that Venus processed my credits too late. I called Venus to explain and told me there is nothing they can do. Today, I called to check on 9 back order items ordered on May 8,2015 and was told by the customer service agent that the order would only be shipped in August as they were told to hold the b/o items and ship all at once. Items that were supposed to have been shipped on June 1, 15, 18, 25 and the latest date was one item for July 15,2015. The summer is almost over and will not even benefit from wearing the Gladiator wedges and cloths that I purchased. This may be the last time that I will be ordering as I am very disappointed with the service I have received and ordering from Canada is extremely expensive. Venus did not want to make any exceptions regardless of the amount I spent and orders placed within a months time. I placed a new order on June 12,2015, received it on June 22,2015. Venus could have shipped the back order items with this new order being such a good customer. I am very disappointed and not sure if I would recommend anyone ordering from Venus.

SAVE YOUR MONEY. I ordered a bathing suit from this site for a pageant. I'm from Canada so I paid nearly $100 for it which is pricey but I was so excited to receive it I placed the order anyways. After paying I received an email saying I had to pay duties and taxes... That was another $22... I am now almost $130 in. I patiently wait for updated tracking info, but nothing comes. My pageant date is nearing so I reach out to see where my package is, they let me know it is being held because I "did not pay my duties" and that it could take up to 21 days now. I check my banking and both the payment for the product and duties have been processed days ago! I am FURIOUS. I have paid a small fortune for this bathing suit that I need urgently! I contact customer service and all they have to say is sorry and try and issue me a $25 gift card. I refuse it and say I'd like to know where my package is and either have it expedited or a full refund. They continue to avoid the question. Finally after numerous attempts to get a hold of anyone who could help me, they say I'll have to wait 48hrs for a response to where my package is. I am so beyond disappointed with this company's customer service, shipping and disorganization. If I could give this less than a 1 star, I would!

Don't expect good quality fabric or craftsmanship. And I'd you don't like it or how it fits, you have to pay to ship it back. At least with Amazon or local stores you can return no charge.

I have had the Venus card for a year and they kept increasing the credit limit. I was using only 20% of the card, was paying more than the minimum and ALWAYS on time. I just noticed online that they lowered my credit limit to what my balance was making it look like I was at the max of my credit- this lowered my credit score by 12 poi. Nts. I immediately contacted customer service who was unapologetic, saying this is a standard procedure- they periodically do this with their cardholders. I will be cancelling the card immediately.

I was reading the reviews I have been ordering from this company for 40 years. I have never had anything but awesome things to say about this place. The clothes fit me perfectly. I absolutely love it and I was really compelled to write when I saw the one stupid review that it was racist. I'm so tired of people falling on that. And before you get all snooty about it my grandchildren are African American. So stop using that as an excuse maybe your credit just was not very good. All you other idiots stop ordering stuff that isn't your size! I have never had a problem with returning anything to this company and I happen to love their clothes and always get compliments on anything I wear. In fact I got a wonderful compliment on a bathing suit I wore on Block Island that I got from this magazine and they recognized it! While I no longer can wear bikinis I can certainly wear their tankinis! And the dresses have never ever failed me. Stop blaming the company. Stop trying to squeeze into things that don't fit you. And the customer service is always been awesome. Why do people feel compelled to always write nasty things? You've done a wonderful job and I will continually order from you and I will just now place an order in the next day or two. So don't disappoint me! LOL! I am going to give them a five star because UPS said they delivered the first set of 4 INA F-******* bearings I bought just two days after I ordered them, This was so fast I did not look for them until 3 weeks later and never found them But UPS said they delivered them so i have ordered 4 more and i am hoping they will deliver
I ordered 3 separate orders as a new customer. The sizing was very inconsistent based on the item. I had returns on all 3 orders. I went to FedEx and personally paid to have the items shipped back so i didn't incur return shipping fees. When I received my return confirmations I was charged shipping on all 3 orders. I called customer service and was told that the offer code I used had a disclaimer that if you return anything you are charged shipping on the remainder of the order. I do a LOT of online shopping and never have i seen such a ridiculous thing. If you offer free shipping it's free shipping period not some retroactive crap that you put in limited places in the fine print. The rep offered no help and told me i should have read the disclaimer. What an awful customer experience. I had planned on ordering some additional items to try but based on this experience I can assure you that I will not order from them ever again. Apparently the $22.85 they charged me in shipping was not worth keeping a customer.
I read the reviews for the company. I saw that shipping was a problem, and I checked the status of my order. As it was the next day, I had paid for two day shipping, and the order had not yet been processed, I was nervous. My boyfriend was coming in from out of town to visit, and I really wanted the swimsuit. I called customer service to see what they could do and she was AMAZING! She was, first of all, very honest. She admitted there had been a problem on the initial order front. She addressed the order, took off the price of my shipping, and made it next day shipping for me. She then asked my permission to contact me later in the day with any updates, because she could not be for sure it would ship out, even though she would try her best. I am an overzealous person, so I ended up calling back later in the day. She was so nice, even though I am sure I was annoying. She remembered me, and she again was very honest. Telling me there was a good chance that it would be mailed out that day, but it was not for sure. I just received my order. It seems to be correct and I am only worried about my size, just because I am losing weight, but still not at my goal, so we shall see how my first two piece, ever, fits. If the suit is even moderately nice I will continue to buy from Venus based on your customer service representative alone. I wish I remembered her name, but please tell her thank you for me!

If you really need to item, call before you need it. They will help you out. Some places are start ups and are really busy. Being proactive will help the company and make sure your needs are met.
It was my first time ordering from Venus, I ordered over the phone and the REP was really nice to me I asked her if everything was true to size (example)- If I order a small it'll be small. Well to be on the safe side I ordered a medium for a trip to Iowa for a conference, and boots that went with it. Well I paid 2 day shipping and retrieved my items. Well the mini dress was below my knees and the boots where above my knees... Awkward if I do say so myself, ok so everything was to big yet it was in my size that was a little odd to say the least anyway what kind of pissed me off was my box the dress came in was ripped not ripped by (delivery) it's like someone popped all the corners of the lid and ripped the bottom of the box. Well this was in my eyes a disaster so I sent everything back and called customer service and told them my box looked like a hot mess, told the rep I don't want to be charged for the already destroyed package. She said I would be fine... Well I spent 2 day shipping, and a shipping return fee. I spent $108.95 and I am pending a return amount of $91.05. This doesn't seem fair because sending ripped packages and asking customers to pay a return shipping fee is just ridiculous. Presentation is something we pay doe as well and it would be nice if the representatives knew what true to size meant after the customer explains their personal size. Never again will I order from this site.
It's interesting how many bad reviews I've been so far, yet both times I've shopped on Venus, I had nothing but good service. The first time was great, my XS dress came in. Turned out to be a little big, but I am a thing gal, so that's normal, but nothing a little altering can't fix. The quality was great. My mother also loved her shirt I bought her. The second time, I ordered two dressed because I could not decide which one I wanted more. The package was shipped with UPS, but on a Thursday it was marked as delivered. It was supposed to be handed over to USPS, but for 5 days, I checked the USPS tracking number, but no updates were available. I was patient, but after the 5 days, I decided to rate the delivery as bad. I entered a review as to why I gave a bad delivery rating, and minutes after I received an email from Venus. They apologized and asked if I wanted to replace the items or a refund. I wanted the dresses so bad, so I decided to opt for a replacement. That same day, they reprocessed the order and it was delivered 3 days after. Such a great and smooth replacement order, and I appreciated the quick response. The size was perfect, nearly looks like a custom fit. Dress quality turned out amazing! Thank you Venus!

All of their clothing falls apart right outside of their return window and they refuse to take it back. They are rude to customers when they call in as well. Take your money elsewhere

I buy this dress "open back" http://image.venusswimwear.com/is/image/Venus/Y*******-WHMU_Y*******-NU.28?$ProductPage527x738$ and I receive a dress with 3 inches open back, not what the model show in the website. I call them and send me another one, the same thing, when I call they just say sorry for the incovinience.
First I get 1 item in the mail and it wasn't even what I ordered. I sent an email and they told me they had to look into it in the tracing department because they said it shows that it was delivered, which wasn't the issue, I received a package, just not MINE. Then I talked to a live person in a chat and they told me one of my items was no longer available, I said send me the rest and when they find MY package, send me that last item and to send me everything with 1 day shipping. They send me an email saying that I had a package that was going to be shipped in one day (in the morning) it was just waiting UPS pickup and fast forward 8 hours later, it's STILL waiting for pick up. Then I get another email saying "sorry that you returned" an item that I WANTED and was in stock.
They never told me what to do about the item that I received...
Not only am I confused, but I think everyone over there is too!

I saw a tank top in their recent booklette for 24$ and I had just seen the EXACT same one in the sears book for $49 - same model and everything, same necklace and background etc when I ordered it it was totally different and not like the picture at all. I agree that they take pictures from other stores and change up the color or something and try to sell their own crap, it was definately NOT the item in the picture.
Ordered a jump suit, the crotch sat an inch above my knee, a complete joke and it was made out of the cheapest lining material possible. A waste of money. Stay clear of them!
Promised order before Christmas and now it scheduled for a 12/28 arrival. I called customer service and they told me they had a system error so there was nothing they could do about it.

Venus is horrible all the way around. I ordered a bikini in January and the top was too big. I tried to exchange it for a smaller one. I checked my account and it said it shipped. After waiting 2 weeks, I contacted them and they said that they had run out of that size and would refund my account. It took quite awhile to have them credit my account.
I also wanted to return the bottoms, since I didn't have a matching top. I chatted online and they said they would mail a return label within 7 business days. This has been 2 months ago and still no return label.
I decided to give them another chance, this week I placed and order and had the order shipped in 2 business days. It arrived, but had no return label. I kept a few things, but I need to return quite a few things. None of it fit well, most of the things I purchased feel cheap and not at all how they are described. There shoes also are true size, they are way smaller.
I contacted customer support for a return label and they said it would be 7 business days. I explained what happened before and they didn't seem to care. They just said the shipping label will be sent out in 7 days.
Other retailers allow you to print out a return label and make it very easy to return items.
I will be making copies of my return stubs and will watch this like a hawk.
It's super obvious that Venus doesn't care about their customers and only want your money. They don't care if you like the product and are satisfied.
Needless to say, I will never purchase another item from Venus again!
