“Found a perfect dress”

I bought the pinkish dress with the black embroidered flowers on the front. It's a tulip shape and made of a tulle fabric. I could not have been happier in a purchase, fit, comfort, feel, and style. My only problem is I may not find another occasion to wear it! It was prompt, true to size and just lovely. I would not hesitate to order from Venus again. I also picked some other dresses from on line companies that say they do returns but will not. All from China. I will from now on always check reviews and give this a 5 star!

I have ordered many swimsuits from them. Typically nice products; however, some have fallen apart, turned strange color, etc. They do not ship promptly. Ordered several items on Monday and they did not ship out until Thursday. I will not receive the items in time for a trip now.

I used to buy a lot from Venus.com but now the policy for returns is unacceptable. I bought a $60 dress and was charged $17 to return it. I no longer shop Venus.com and neither do any of my friends. I tried to talk with the company but got no response. In my view online purchases of clothing are going to naturally include some returns. That is the cost of doing online business. I highly recommend being sure before you buy from this business as the cost will be yours. Quite disappointing!,,

The clothes are cute. They are not of the highest quality, but hey, this is fast fashion. The reason I cannot order from them is the vanity sizing they use. They call it "contemporary sizing." Large women can order a medium, and medium-sized women can order a small. That makes everyone feel better, right? No. The extra small women like me cannot order anything because the smallest possible size is still way too big. I had to return or give away everything I have ordered from them, and I won't try again.

I placed an order for two swimsuits a month ago and the order is still showing as order received but it has not been processed. I emailed them to ask about this last week and haven't heard anything back. I emailed again today to attempt to cancel my order and get a full refund so we'll see how this goes. In general it seems fishy. I would not recommend ordering from this company.

My first experience purchasing from Venus was very disappointing. All the ordered items were poor quality. The fabrics are thin and don't look anything like on models as they are in their magazines. I was charged $6.95 for return shipping and also was charged a promotional discount for my return being below $75. Basically they got their money back for sending it in the first place. Upset and will NEVER order from them again. All poor reviews are on point here; I really regret not checking these before my first and last order!

I ordered a sweater from Venus and wore it once and the knitting were falling apart same first day! I was so disappointed and emailed their customer service and got a ridiculous email back that once their clothing is worn it's not returnable regardless of the problem! This is a terrible horrible company with inferior products! I will NEVER order from them again!

Inferior clothing! Don't waste your money! Shop other companies!

I bought a bathing suit bottom for my upcoming vacation and not only did it ship quickly; I didn't do any express shipping and receiving my item in 3 days but the price was great, too. The item fits exactly how it is suppose to and not made of cheap material.

I was very happy with my experience with this site and plan on shopping with them again.

Most of my wardrobe is Venus clothing. So I was surprised to see so many bad reviews. Bevause all of the clothing I have received was very trendy and of good quality. When I did have to make a return for an item that didn't fit right, I had no problems with returns either, as Venus refunded my money without any problems. I tend to think that more people report problem issues, because they are upset, and not many take the time to report when they've had good service.

Tip for consumers:
I notice a lot of reviews say that the clothing runs big. I think that most of the peices are made to fit loose and flowy, instead of tight. If you want it more form fitting and not loose and flowy, then order down a size.

I love Venus, and have ordered many great pieces from them. However, if you are a Canadian buyer be prepared to pay more - you will be charged a lot extra by Canadian customs. Usually if it says the item was made in the US you don't pay any duties, but even this has been inconsistent since I have been charged duties on US made clothing on occasion... I don't think it's Venus' fault though. With the bad exchange rate and duties on top of this I rarely order from them now :(

I do not have anything negative to say about Venus. I receive my orders in 7-10 days. All of the clothing is excellent quality and they are true to size. They have a very nice and knowledgeable customer service. I never get tired of wearing these beautiful clothes.

I bought worth $200 clothes from them, was fascinated by their style and price. When they arrived it appeared cheap and totally out of fit. I returned all of it. The good thing is that they shipped quickly and also refunded the money without any hassle. Not for me for sure.

Returned a 34.00 dollar item and received a credit for 14.00 dollars. The 6.95 shipping charge is pretty standard but why was 12.95 dollars deducted from my credit amount? I have never heard of anything like this, needless to say this was my first and last purchase with this substandard site.

They only let "select customers" review purchased items. Also just because you order something doesn't mean that what it will look like. I ordered a swimsuit with a dragon and did not get that. It fit fine, but part of the order was back ordered, and was a pain to return.

Update: Venus reached out to me and although it was stated that my return still hasn't been received or processed they immediately processed my refund. I want to acknowledge the great online customer support I received, I just wish their phone staff was as helpful.

It has been over 30 days and still no notification that my return has been received which is ridiculous. I have contacted customer service multiple times only to receive non-helpful emails that it hasn't been processed so they can't help me. If the would only exert a little more energy into their customer service and in resolving the issue instead of being dismissive. I have not had an issue until this and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Make sure you read their return policy. If you use their shipping label to return an item it will cost you, (not a problem for me), but you may want to ask how much they charge in handling costs upfront if you decide to return an item. Most sites will tell you 10 or 15 percent handling (restocking) fee. This is not the case with this company. It just states $6.95 for shipping label and handling will be deducted from your refund. This is where it seems suspect. Helpful advice, ask about that handling fee before ordering.

I have ordered from Venus several times. All of which have been great. Last week I have placed an order of almost $700. I am going on vacation and needed these items the following week. I contacted customer service and upgraded to overnight shipping. I also contacted them on Friday morning before the weekend. They told me my package was scheduled for to be shipped that day. Great! I am leaving Tuesday morning. Monday morning I check my shipping info And it still says info unavailable. So I contact customer service again and they said the package shipped today... really?! Ugh. Okay. So now I will be returning the entire order and they will never get my business again. I asked the customer service rep the process for return and full refund and they were so happy to help. It was almost like they actually did not need or want my business. There are 100 other websites out there that have just as nice clothing for the same price or cheaper.

I started ordering from venus less than a year ago and LOVED them. Then all of a sudden the quality of their clothes just tanked. I keep returning orders and ordering new things thinking maybe I just picked a few bad items, but I can't seem to get anything with the quality of my first few purchases. Did they start outsourcing or change vendors or something? I do love their easy returns and venus wallet option.

I've been buying from Venus for a while now. The clothing they make is better quality than their pricing and the fits are usually pretty good. Sometimes I buy multiple sizes so I have options and then return for $5 in shipping costs the ones I don't want. I love that the styles and colors are clothing I can't find anywhere else. I get so many compliments on the clothes and dresses I buy from Venus! I recommend to all my friends.

I ordered one blouse to try from Venus last November and I was very surprised with great quality of fabric and the style was exactly the same as on their picture. I ordered 6 different dresses for Christmas parties and they all were amazing.
Now I ordered a half of their new catalogue.
True size to size always! Quality is very high. Super stylish. People keep asking me where I bought such great clothes. Thank you to Venus!

I have ordered many things with no problem since my twenties i have loved them ordered a bikini and romper suit which still fits me by the way and that was thirty years ago and i am 56 now.the last jumpsuit I ordered around Christmas was for work and it is what i expected, little long but I wish they had petites because I am only 5'3'.

I bought a bikini that did not fit. When I returned it, I not only had to pay for shipping fees but a restocking fee as well. In this day, free returns are just a part of doing business online as a company. I will not be ordering from them again. $17 just to send something back that doesn't fit is too much. I'll be shopping elsewhere.

My grandma gave me their catalog about mid summer, I didn't order a bathing suit from them because I love my current one. I bought a lot of dresses and tops from them and always got good quality items, they are a little pricey for products but they are constantly having sales so that slightly helps. I've only had to tailor one dress because I didn't realize how LONG it was and I didn't think it was long in the picture, that's the only misleading thing I have come across. I will be ordering more from them, love this website and would totally recommend it 100%

Tip for consumers:
Just be careful of prices, that the only really bad part that I've come across from Venus. Check on items often for sales, and be cautious that an item may be sold out for a temporary time or it will be a discontinued item. That has happened to me very few times but do watch out for it.

I've only ordered from this business twice and both times my order has been a mess! The customer service have no care or regard to the errors that are made. I've ordered a product that cost $50 they sent me a complete different item of much lesser value or no item at all in both situations. When calling customer service they are aware of the many schemes the business is making and have no care on correcting it. I am appalled on the way they do business! They may have nice things but don't expect to receive them! Such schemers!

The past few months I have been searching for swimwear for a trip. I was so nervous to order online for the first time. So happy with my results with Venus! Swimwear is great material and sizes were perfect! I did send one top back that was good material but not a good style. Cover up was just as size chart showed. I will order again on this site!

I always purchase a size 14 in a swim suit. This one fit like a 12 and was very flimsy. The fact I paid over $120 Canadian and waited over 3 weeks for this suit was disappointing. Now I find out I have to make a trip to the post office and purchase a return label. I will also end up paying for shipping costs. I'm expecting the service will be slow and it will be weeks before the cost of the suit is returned to my credit card. Not a good company for Canadian buyers.

Tip for consumers:
I would of liked to have known I would have been paying US funds, shipping was 3 weeks and I would have to pay for shipping a return from Canada.

If you have a hard time with online shopping, I do not recommend shopping at this website because their return policy is not a good one. If you want all of your money back the only way to get accredited is if they give you store credit, otherwise you have to pay for shipping and handling to return it which almost always cost's half of the product's price. No.
