SCAMMERS!
February 26, 2024

Verizon is a ripoff, racketeering, ponzi scheme, scam. I'm paying out the $#*! and paying for my phone twice! Fees like I've never saw in my life. I was promised so much when in the end I got nothing! I wish I could get out. Maybe a class action suit is needed. I was so taken advantage of.

When it comes to typing out things I want to share about Verizon, there are actually no real negative thing I want to say. I could sit here and complain that every month my bill is too high. Or I could say the suggestive add-ons could be a little bit better. But instead, the one main concern I've always had and I've never see not one word about it is...

For a gigantic company like Verizon, I would think that there would be some kind of unlimited discount to their valuable customers. I'll use myself as an example...

1. I've been a loyal customer since 2006. That's almost 2 decades (18yrs). Way longer than any of my relationships, and just about half of my lifetime.

2. From starting off with a phone for myself and for my grandmother, I now have one phone for my oldest son, one phone for my youngest son, a phone and a tablet for my grandmother, and for me... I have an iPhone, iWatch, secondary phone (the line used to be used for my oldest sons tablet during COVID), and a new Orbic laptop/tablet.

3. I utilize the combos for streaming sites... Netflix, Paramount +, Disney+, Hulu, Max, Discovery+,
4. I always end up upgrading my devices instead of keeping it, and perchance leave to go to another service company.

It would be nice to get something back for being a customer soon 19 years. Oh, and sometimes the 5G doesn't work for... you know what I mean. Loads for browsers would be slow, or apps won't open.

In April of 2023 we signed up with Verizon. Since then we've been charged double monthly, had our phones shut off while THEY OWE US MONEY, spent countless hours MONTHLY at the store where we signed up, and been stressed out of our minds. As of today- NOTHING HAS BEEN RESOLVED. Pics of line charges and No promised refund.

Worst customer service
February 10, 2024

Ordered and was supposed to receive service in 6 days.

Nothing so far.

They requested additional documents, which provided repeatedly, but the order remains on hold 4 days later.

One customer service agent transfers to another with mixed messages; one says the hold is removed, the other says it is still in hold on the system.

Not available to contact except during working hours, which are never mentioned when you receive the recorded message.

When they are within business hours, I was left on hold over the phone for over an hour with no response.

The customer service agent is like a broken record, keeps repeating messages and adds no information.

No predictability of when you should receive the service.

I even don't know how to cancel the order.

Verizon Wireless Fail
February 9, 2024

I have had a very disappointing, frustrating, and ridiculous situation happen today. I added international calling to my plan for my vacation to Europe (in October 2023), what I thought I signed up for was a 30 day subscription on my bill. When I got back I expected it to no longer be on my bill, however, it continued to be charged to my account. I went to the Rochester Verizon store (which is the closest store to me and it is 30 miles away) they were very helpful and able to cancel my international plan and get me a refund for the extra month charge. I got my bill again this month (billing for January 2024) and the foreign access is still being charged to my account. I called Verizon at home, they stated (after being on the phone for an hour) I had to go back to the store and do it there, they cannot help me. I drove the 30 miles to the Verizon Store, where they very rudely told me they could not do anything for me even though previously on January 11th the employees were very helpful. So, I just waisted 3 hours and never got the second month of the foreign charge removed. Thank you for nothing Verizon, they got their money so I am SOL...

If I could give this company a MINUS -5 Star rating I would. They have certainly earned it! This company, Verizon Wireless, actually enables their online Ad Sales Team to repeatedly harass potential customers by blowing up their email inboxes multiple times daily with their unwanted Ads. Pirates! There is no way to UNSUBSCRIBE or REMOVE this constant harassment. There is no live chat where you can talk to somebody to explain your issue and there is no email address provided to address your complaint. I will NEVER give this company my business! I have hundreds of deleted VERIZON ads that hit my email inbox, multiple times, every single day! Any company that is this desperate for sales, that needs to harass people in this way is just plain wrong!

Ordered 2 apple watches at Christmas. They had to cancel and resubmit my order. Rep said it would not be a problem. We'll, they double charged me on my bill. It took them 2 months, my phones getting shut off, and still overcharged in the end. I was on the phone 4 separate times with reps for anywhere from an hour and a half to two and a half hours each call! All 4 times by end of calls reps told me the issue was resolved and me bill would be fixed. Each tome is was not. I'm talking overcharged 320.00, not a few dollars. Also, on with 4 reps on chat. Same thing. Torture. Fraud departments, billing, everything. In the end, I waited to pay bill because they were double charging me. They finally resolve it. 3 days later, waiting to get paid on friday to pay bill, they shut my phones off!?!? Takes me hours to get put back on. And, they tacked on over 100.00 with no explanation!? The next morning, on my way to a job, MY PHONES ARE OFF AGAIN!?!? Lost a big job, alot of money, because of it!? Took me 3 hours the get back on. I'm done with Verizon. Ilk try to finish out my contract, then never again. Any other issues, I'll just leave Verizon, break contract, and take the hit on my credit. Don't care. The have great connection service. That's it!

Verizon cut off my phone without notice and then refused me access online to pay my bill by restricting my account. This because they randomly added a service and I did a chargeback because I could not reach them. The account was zero balance and on auto pay since it was opened. I think it's a scam to get late fees and reduce their credit card fees by freezing your payment capabilities online. The US needs FTC to jump in and stop this practice so people can manage fraud but also get notified if Verizon is adding charges or cutting off the phone. It was a nightmare to get it fixed. You must call SE Asia as the financial services in US does not generally answer, even for the store staff. It's a scheme that needs to be regulated.

I've had Verizon for over 2 years. I have always paid my bill, after comparing prices with another company I tried to switch. I got a new sim sent to me and Verizon then locked my phone to prevent me from being able too. My bill is over 200$ a month for 2 lines. So for the past month I've been trying to switch companies and now Verizon wants me to pay a new bill, but you also can't contact them thru the my Verizon because they send you a text with a pin for "identity purposes" even though you already give them the account number and password. So you'd have to reactive their sim card and use their company sim (which will charge you for the month). Verizon is a ripoff and so many other companies have more affordable services. It's a shame Verizon does this as I've never missed a payment and just wanted to use a new cell phone company. When you pay for a phone, you should be able to change companies at least when you pay the phones off without having them relocked.

I tried to take advantage of Verizons free phone exchange back in June 2022. I have receipts and emails from Verizon stating all went smoothly at that time. However, it is January 2024 and I am still battling with Verizon for NOT doing what they said they would. Your local stores/franchisees have NO power or influence to right a wrong either. Please don't be the next victim of Verizons free phone offer. Bye bye Verizon, I am taking my 8 phone plan ( with $500+ monthly bill) somewhere else. I am sure there will be another class action suit about this bait and switch tactic before long. POSTED: by just a little guy in Westerly, RI

Not to be trusted
January 26, 2024

RIP-OFF ALERT: Just bought a new smartphone at Verizon. I knew I'd have to pay a $90 deposit toward the phone in addition to the monthly fee. Fair enough. They told me they could set up the phone for me but didn't mention a fee. They offered to waterproof the phone. I stupidly said yes. Here are the fees I was charged:
$29.99 Water Protection Membership
$49.99 - Liquid Glass (water protection, not screen saver)
$49.99 - Verizon Phone Set-up
$35.00 - Data Transfer
$29.99 - Car charger (the old one is obsolete. Of course.)
$29.99 - Car charger cable (Also obsolete)
$29.99 - WallPort "cube" (to charge phone at home)
$53.40 - Tax on phone plus all the above
Including the $90 deposit on the phone, I ended up spending an extra $328. It would have been $428 if I didn't make them put back the $50 phone protector and $50 screen protector, which I just ordered for Amazon for $10 each! Oh, almost forgot: In addition I was told that my next Verizon bill and possibly another would be close to 50% higher than the amount I was told due to an "Upgrade Fee."

Worst customer service
January 24, 2024

App is terrible, and customer service is terrible. Man. Makes me want to switch carriers. Can't recover pin via there app or phone call. The app says pin reset sent your phone number on file. And never received anything from them. Absolutely waste of time.

Very Disappointed
January 23, 2024

I came into this location as another location said this one on Prairie in Coeur D Alene ID was a corporate location. Jeremy (manager) and Brian Buckles were assisting, I had many phone issues and I brought up issues I had with internet with another company. There really wasn't any real concern for finding out what may be causing my issues and instead did the hard sale for a new phone and a 5G Home Internet. Neither of which I was there for but lo and behold I left with! I did come back wanting to return the 5G Home Internet and Jeremy talked me out of it stating I had until February 14th. I'm still having the SAME problems with my phone? People cannot call in, leave voicemails, etc. I did a chat and the rep asked if I had unknown callers disabled, I stated it's off on my phone but I had unknown junk callers on? My question to them and they didn't answer me was why wasn't that checked in store along with anything else that could have been creating my issues? I'm livid that Verizon is all about hard selling instead of helping customers solve their issues especially when I told them I'm on a budget like most of America. I will be going back into the store.

My husband and I live in Philly and had changed to Verizon fios for internet service. At the time there was a promotion for $200 gift card if we signed up with them as a first time customer. Skipping ahead to the present, we're moving back to Jersey and unfortunately they don't have service in the area where we are moving to. The customer service representative stated that we had to return the $200 giftcard because we were with them for less than 6 months. What kind of joke is that? It's not like we're intentionally going with a different internet company, Verizon doesn't service in the area we will be going to. But, of course, "there's nothing they can do" in needing us to return a $200 giftcard they GIFTED us for signing up. Ridiculous. Trust me when I say we'll never go back to Verizon and we're definitely not recommending them to anyone we know.

I trade in my old device for 1,000 credit and the balance of the new device should be 200 dllrs more or less and when I checked my balance it shows over 800 dllrs and I verified my equipment was at Verizon. Apparently they will give you a credit of a 1,000 dllrs and the balance over 36 months contract that I didn't sign. If I want to pay off my device I'll be paying full amount plus losing credit of my trade in. This company makes business in a shady way. STAY AWAY FROM VERIZON

Verizon charged me for service I never ordered then sent me to collections. Before collections they told me multiple times the bill was an error and to disregard. Now this fraudulent account is showing up as a derogatory mark on my credit report and Verizon is refusing to talk to me about it. I am forced to either pay for this service I never authorized or take a hit on my credit. I feel bullied and robbed.
